Jewish leaders and groups detail the heartbreaking damage Palestinian looters cause to Jewish historical sites across Judea and Samaria and lament the lack of action by the government they say has a moral responsibility to protect the site.
Palestinian terrorists in Gaza Strip fired nearly 1000 rockets at Israel within 48 hours, including towards Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
The Israel Defense Forces on Saturday was preparing for a “week of fighting” against Palestinian Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip, as terrorists in the enclave fired nearly 1000 rockets at the Jewish state within 48 hours.
The IDF said that the Iron Dome missile defense system had successfully intercepted 95 percent of the projectiles fired by PIJ that were headed for populated regions.
One projectile struck a family home in Sderot, whose inhabitants had secured themselves in a shelter and were uninjured.
The IDF launched Operation Breaking Dawn on Friday afternoon, following days of tensions in the wake of the arrest of Bassam al-Sa’adi, the leader of PIJ in Judea and Samaria.
Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid said in a statement that the goal of the mission was “the elimination of a concrete threat.”
A senior Israeli defense source on Friday was quoted by media as saying that the military campaign was initiated with a view to thwarting an imminent large-scale terrorist attack.

The Head of the National Public Diplomacy Directorate confirmed on Sunday evening that a ceasefire will take effect at 11:30 p.m.
“The State of Israel thanks Egypt for its efforts. If the ceasefire is violated, the State of Israel maintains the right to respond strongly. We will not allow any disruption to the lives of the citizens of the State of Israel,” he added.
Before the ceasefire came into force, a heavy barrage of rocket fire began towards areas near the Gaza border. In response, an IDF unmanned aerial vehicle attacked a rocket launcher belonging to the Islamic Jihad in Gaza.

The Altalena Affair was a violent confrontation that took place in June of 1948, during the War of Independence, between the newly-formed Israel Defense Forces and the Irgun (Etzel), a paramilitary Jewish group. The confrontation involved a cargo ship, Altalena, which carried weapons and fighters for the Irgun.
The Altalena, purchased by Irgun members abroad, was originally intended to reach Israel on May 15, 1948, loaded with fighters and military equipment. Weapons purchase and organizational matters took longer than expected, however, and the sailing was postponed for several weeks. Meanwhile, on June 1st, an agreement had been signed for the absorption of the Irgun into the IDF and one of the clauses stated that the Irgun had to cease all independent arms acquisition activities. Consequently, representatives of the Israel Government were informed about the ship and its sailing schedule.
The Irgun headquarters in Paris did their best to keep the Altalena’s preparations for departure a secret, but it was difficult to conceal the movement of 940 fighters and the loading of a large quantity of arms and ammunition. It was feared that if the plans were discovered, attempts might be made to sabotage the Altalena at sea. For this reason, when it raised anchor on June 11th, no cable was sent to the Irgun command in Israel, for fear that it would fall into the wrong hands. These precautionary measures proved fruitless, however, and the following day Radio London reported that the Altalena had sailed from Port-de-Bouc (France) in the direction of Israel with 1,000 Jewish volunteers and a large quantity of weapons on board.

More Palestinians dead from misfired rockets than from Israeli strikes, army says
Fifteen Gazans were killed by errant Islamic Jihad rockets.

More innocent Palestinian lives were lost during the recent operation in Gaza by Palestinian Islamic Jihad rockets that fell short of their targets than by Israeli airstrikes, the military said on Monday, hours after a ceasefire came into effect.
Commander of the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit Brig.-Gen. Ran Kochav also told reporters that no infrastructure in Gaza was damaged during Operation Breaking Dawn, which lasted 66 hours.
About 1100 rockets were launched by the Iran-backed Gaza terror group, Islamic Jihad. Two-hundred of them misfired and fell within the coastal enclave, in some cases, killing children. Ninety-seven percent of the projectiles that were headed for civilian areas inside of Israel were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system. More than 100 Israeli properties were damaged by rocket fire, but there were no reported casualties.
Pollak: 5 Consequences of Israel’s Stunning Win over Palestinian Islamic Jihad
Israel won a swift and decisive victory last weekend in a brief conflict with Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), an Iranian-backed terrorist group based in the Gaza Strip.
The war began after Israel arrested a PIJ leader in the West Bank last week. PIJ then began mobilizing for terror attacks along the Gaza-Israel boundary, and Israel launched a preemptive strike, killing PIJ leader Taysir al-Jabari.
Starting Friday afternoon, PIJ then launched about 1,000 rockets, many of which were intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome missile shield. Some PIJ rockets actually killed Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Israel wiped out PIJ targets — including the whole leadership — with minimal impact on civilians.
The whole conflict ended Sunday evening with an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire, leaving many observers puzzled as to whether PIJ — and Iran — had made a massive blunder.
There are several consequences that are immediately clear:
1. Iran looks vulnerable. Iran’s proxy was easily routed, which raises questions about the military readiness of other proxies, such as Hezbollah in Lebanon. One of the reasons Iran has been able to deter a possible military strike on its nuclear facilities — either by Israel or the U.S. — is the fear that it could retaliate against Israel using rockets launched from Lebanon and Gaza. While Hamas — also supported by Iran — has been able to hurt Israel somewhat, PIJ’s utter failure damages Iran’s deterrence.
2. Palestinians failed to rouse international sympathy. When President Joe Biden took office, amid promises of opening a Palestinian consulate in Jerusalem, and restoring some funding to Palestinian organizations, it seemed Israel might suffer. But after Hamas launched a war against Israel last year, forcing Biden in a more pro-Israel direction, the Palestinians — and their left-wing allies in the U.S. — lost their opportunity. There was barely any international opposition to Israel this time around.
3. Israel is winning the media war. Sixteen years ago, during the Second Lebanon War, terror groups were able to trigger international outrage against Israel by hiding fighters and weapons among civilians, and manufacturing stories of atrocities. It fell to independent bloggers to debunk the media’s worst anti-Israel stories. Israel’s media operation is far more sophisticated today. It responded instantly to claims of an airstrike on Palestinian civilians by showing they had been hit by a PIJ rocket.
4. Qatar is becoming a positive player. Qatar had, until recently, been known as a major sponsor of the Muslim Brotherhood and Palestinian terror groups. But Qatar has begun to play a more positive role, limiting its funding to more legitimate uses in Gaza, and reportedly helping Egypt to mediate the ceasefire between Israel and PIJ. If Qatar joins the other Arab states that have become friendly toward Israel, within and beyond the Abraham Accords, that will be huge step toward regional peace.
5. Israel’s left-wing government may be stronger heading into fall elections. Israelis have tended to trust former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on foreign policy and national security. But interim Prime Minister Yair Lapid can now say he led Israel to victory. Moreover, the Arab party in his coalition stayed quiet, and there was little of the inter-communal Arab-Jewish violence of the previous conflict. Lapid and his allies might hope to remain in power, thwarting a Netanyahu revival.

- One wonders, for instance if the January 6th Committee will consider the July 29, 2022 tweet by General Keith Kellogg, that on January 3, 2021, Trump, in front of witnesses, did indeed ask for “troops needed” for January 6. Kellogg wrote: “I was in the room.”
- The January 6th Committee has also not released any information about government informants or FBI undercover law enforcement officers who might have been in the crowd, and Pelosi is also said to be blocking access to a massive quantity of documents. Finally, according to attorney Mark Levin, under the Constitution’s separation of powers, Congress, has no legitimacy even to hold a criminal investigation: that power belongs to the Judiciary. The entire proceeding is illegitimate and a usurpation of power.
- Is it surprising that after the Pulitzer decision, the Russia collusion hoax, the Whitmer kidnapping hoax, the Covid origin hoax, the Hunter Biden laptop hoax, and now the January 6th Committee hoax, that many Americans believe there is something wrong with the system?
FBI’s Forgotten History Of Covert Propaganda And Political Interference
A U.S. Senate report released in 1976 tells of the FBI’s forgotten history of covert propaganda and political interference and how they are allowed to covertly commit otherwise illegal activity.
The FBI and other law enforcement organizations have historically used corrupt and potentially lethal covert tactics, although many people may not be aware of this. There hasn’t been much if any, discussion of this potentially fatal corruption among especially covert law enforcement organizations like the FBI and perhaps even local police, which may be done on purpose.
People in local and federal governments probably don’t want Americans to know about their covert and secretive activities.
Some of these unethical covert or covert acts by the FBI and other law enforcement, intelligence, and police organizations are described in a U.S. Senate report (pdf below). Although the 1976 U.S. Senate report cannot be fully described in this article, there is reason to suspect that corruption has increased rather than decreased since that time. The examples in the report may not be the absolute worst, but they should still be considered.

The astounding saga of UniEnergy and its vanadium redox flow batteries was told by National Public Radio (NPR) last week. The story began with government researchers developing a mixture of fluids that could store almost twice as much energy as existing battery technology, with very little degradation over long periods of time.
This was a crucial attribute for next-generation battery technology since the high cost of replacing degraded batteries is a major hurdle to the widespread adoption of large battery-powered equipment like electric vehicles. High-capacity and durable batteries, in turn, are essential to solar power designs because power must be stored to cover periods when the solar panels are not receiving enough sunlight.
With six years of effort and $15 million in U.S. taxpayer funding, researchers created a high-powered battery using vanadium that could last for up to 30 years. The lead scientist on the project, Gary Yang, secured a license from DOE to manufacture the batteries in 2012 and established UniEnergy Technologies.

President Joe Biden and congressional Democrats, with Republican help, are poised to spend $3.5 trillion during decades-high inflation.
“Passage of the Inflation Reduction Act will make Biden one of the most legislatively successful presidents of the modern era,” Politico Playbook writers Ryan Lizza and Eugene Daniels wrote.
Although congressional Democrats have only a four-member majority in the House and a one-member majority in the Senate, Biden has been able to pass a substantial legislative agenda. It is also notable that Biden has spent so much during the first half of his term in office. This includes:
- The $1.9 trillion American Recovery Act, Biden’s coronavirus relief bill
- The $550 billion so-called Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act
- The $280 billion Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors (CHIPS) Act
- $700 billion Inflation Reduction Act
As Politico noted, these expenditures amount to roughly $3.5 trillion and address many leftist priorities such as “the pandemic and its economic fallout, highways, bridges, broadband, rail, manufacturing, science, prescription drug prices, health insurance, climate change, deficit reduction and tax equity.”
This spending has followed as Americans continue to reel from record-high inflation.

Paxlovid Is Causing Covid Mutations
President Biden continues to harbor the COVID-19 virus (SARS-CoV-2) in his body. He first contracted COVID-19 on July 21, two and a half weeks before the present. The e-commerce giant announced it will acquire the company for $1.7 billion in an all-cash deal, taking control of one of its competitors following Amazon’s release last year of Astro, its own “smart” home assistant, which can move between rooms in a home and recognize faces.
But the purchase said Robert Weissman, president of the consumer advocacy group Public Citizen, “is not just about Amazon selling another device in its marketplace.”
