CNN’s Van Jones Blames Beating Death of Tyre Nichols by 5 Black Police Officers on Racism By Jim Hoft
January 27, 2023 at 7:32pm – Authorities on Friday evening released bodycam footage of five Memphis police officers beating motorist Tyre Nichols during a traffic stop.
Five ex-Memphis police officers were charged with second-degree murder and kidnapping on Thursday in the death of a black motorist.
The officers, Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, Emmitt Martin III, Desmond Mills Jr. and Justin Smith – were fired on Friday after the motorist, Tyre Nichols, died following a violent confrontation during a January 7 traffic stop.

Tucker Carlson did.
During his opening monologue tonight, Carlson acknowledged that the Tyre Nichols video was awful, but he also pointed out that the far left’s reaction, and Antifa specifically, is in many ways just a propaganda campaign that magically gets trotted out whenever they’re needed.
Carlson suggests there is nothing organic about it.

Charles and Camilla light candles in memory of Holocaust victims
Ceremony to mark Holocaust Memorial Day takes place at Buckingham Palace.
Jan 27, 2023, 8:58 PM (GMT+2) – King Charles and Camilla lit candles at Buckingham Palace on Friday morning in a memorial to victims of the Holocaust, the UK Jewish News reported.
After lighting two candles to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day, they met with Martin Stern, who survived the Westerbork transit camp and Theresienstadt ghetto after being deported from the Netherlands at five-years-old.
“I hope this will be one way of trying to remember all those poor people who had to suffer such horrors for so many years – and still do,” Charles said.
“That is immensely important. The perpetrators would like that we would just forget about it, move on to other things so they get on quietly with doing more of their horrific crimes,” Stern said.
Charles and Camilla also met with officials from the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust.
Colorado Baker Who Refused to Make ‘Gender Transition’ Cake Loses Appeal By Cassandra MacDonald
January 27, 2023 at 7:45am – A Colorado baker who refused to make a cake celebrating a “gender transition” has lost an appeal arguing that his decision was protected free speech.
The Colorado Court of Appeals decided on Thursday that Jack Phillips and Masterpiece Cakeshop broke the law when he refused to bake cakes for people based on their gender identity or sexual orientation.
Phillips won a Supreme court case in 2018 over his refusal to bake a cake for a gay wedding. He has since been relentlessly targeted by LGBT activists.
In Thursday’s ruling, the court said that the symbolism in the decorations on the cake requested by activist Autumn Scardina would not be attributed to the baker — and therefore it is not protected free speech to refuse.
“We conclude that creating a pink cake with blue frosting is not inherently expressive and any message or symbolism it provides to an observer would not be attributed to the baker,” the ruling said.

Jan 25, 2023 – Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) disclosed a sale of 30,000 shares in Google’s parent company, Alphabet, roughly one month before the Justice Department opened an antitrust lawsuit into the technology firm.
Federal regulators claimed in the Tuesday complaint that Google monopolizes the tools website publishers use to sell advertisements and that companies utilize to purchase advertisements. Pelosi, who resigned from her leadership position but remains a member of Congress, sold 10,000 shares of Alphabet Class A stock on December 20, December 21, and December 28, according to federal disclosures, marking a combined transaction value between $1.5 million and $3 million. The disclosures were digitally signed by the lawmaker on January 12.
Although shares for Google have increased roughly 8% over the past month, the company’s stock price declined some 6% this week as news of the antitrust lawsuit became public.
Officials claimed that Google has engaged in a “pattern of acquisitions to obtain control over key digital advertising tools” and has manipulated auctions to “deprive rivals of scale.” Such moves may violate the Sherman Act, which outlaws “monopolization, attempted monopolization, or conspiracy or combination to monopolize” deemed unreasonable by the court system. Google said in a statement that the Justice Department lawsuit attempts to “pick winners and losers” in the “highly competitive” advertising technology space.
Pelosi and her husband, Paul, have been repeatedly accused of leveraging insider knowledge that the veteran lawmaker holds in order to increase earnings in the stock market. The filing also revealed that the top Democrat sold shares of Netflix, PayPal, Salesforce, Tesla, and Disney. [Emphasis added]

January 25, 2023 at 1:27pm – Coming on the heels of Germany’s announcement to send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, German foreign minister Annalena Baerbock has declared “we are fighting a war with Russia” at a meeting of the European Council.
“We have to do more also on tanks,” Baerbock said. “But the most important, crucial part is that we do it together, and we do not do the blame game in Europe, because we are fighting a war against Russia, and not against each other.”
NATO countries have so far scrupulously avoided insinuating that they are direct participants in the regional border conflict over ethnic Russian territories in Eastern Ukraine.
42-year-old Baerbock is known for her gaffes and child-like, garbled speech. Still, she is the most popular politican in Germany, despite the fact she was found to have fudged her CV and received her Master’s degree from the London School of Economics after only one year, despite not having earned a bachelor’s degree. Her master’s thesis remains lost. She received a €40,000 scholarship from the Green Party foundation 2009-2012 to attend LSE.
Baerbock patron George Soros also attended London School of Economics, which is part of the Open Society University Network. Baerbock is also a member of the European Council on Foreign Relations, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations’ Atlantic Bridge, the German Marshall Fund, and currently a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum.

January 25, 2023 at 10:15am – On Tuesday the Biden regime agreed to send Abrams tanks to Ukraine to fight the Russian military.
This means the US will be forced to send men and women to operate the tanks and perform maintenance. It is the Biden regime’s attempt to escalate the war in Ukraine.
Less than 24 hours later Germany announced they will be sending Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.
Chancellor Scholz asked German citizens, who are paying record gas prices this winter to warm their homes, to “trust the government.”
This decision was made after intensive consultations that took place with Germany’s closest European and international partners.
