EXCLUSIVE: Photos Obtained Following J6 Political Prisoner Ryan Samsel’s Brutal Beating by Guards and Following Police Abuse with Shackles – AUDIO   By Jim Hoft

May 23, 2023 8:00 am – In early December 2022, US political prisoner Ryan Samsel called The Gateway Pundit to tell us he has lost his phone privileges for several months starting tomorrow. The prison staff was outraged that The Gateway Pundit had exposed his horrific story of prisoner abuse to the American public.

Ryan, who has not even had his case tried in court and has sat in prison for over two years, has been beaten, hogtied, abused, tied to a chair for 12 hours, and denied medical treatment for his injuries and his pre-cancerous growths.

On March 21, 2021, after his arrest, Ryan was awakened by correctional officers, and his hands were zip-tied. Then they walked him to an unoccupied cell where he was brutally beaten by the officers. Ryan Samsel lost an eye in the beating. His face was smashed. The next day the guards beat him again.

Ryan was beaten so badly by the guards that he lost permanent vision in one eye and partial use of his arm.

Seymour Hersh: ‘Something Else Is Cooking’ In Ukraine    by Seymour Hersh

Last Saturday the Washington Post published an exposé of classified American intelligence documents showing that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, working behind the back of the Biden White House, pushed hard earlier this year for an expanded series of missile attacks inside Russia. The documents were part of a large cache of classified materials posted online by an Air Force enlisted man now in custody. A senior official of the Biden administration, asked by the Post for comment on the newly revealed intelligence, said that Zelensky has never violated his pledge never to use American weapons to strike inside Russia. In the view of the White House, Zelensky can do no wrong.

Zelensky’s desire to take the war to Russia may not be clear to the president and senior foreign policy aides in the White House, but it is to those in the American intelligence community who have found it difficult to get their intelligence and their assessments a hearing in the Oval Office. Meanwhile, the slaughter in the city of Bakhmut continues. It is similar in idiocy, if not in numbers, to the slaughter in Verdun and the Somme during World War I. The men in charge of today’s war—in Moscow, Kiev, and Washington—have shown no interest even in temporary ceasefire talks that could serve as a prelude to something permanent. The talk now is only about the possibilities of a late spring or summer offensive by either party.

But something else is cooking, as some in the American intelligence community know and have reported in secret, at the instigation of government officials at various levels in Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, Estonia, Czechoslovakia, and Latvia. These countries are all allies of Ukraine and declared enemies of Vladimir Putin.

Zoltan Pozsar: Fed Is “Foaming The Runway” For Big Bank Problems Ahead   by Peter Chawaga via BitcoinMagazine.com,

MONDAY, MAY 22, 2023 – 01:45 PM – Zoltan Pozsar, who until recently worked as the managing director of investment bank Credit Suisse, offered his insight into financial markets and the issues that are weakening the dollar’s dominance around the world.

In his role at Credit Suisse, Pozsar’s insight into the ins and outs of the legacy financial system and market dynamics was highly sought after. His recent departure from the bank came shortly after it was purchased by UBS in March as an attempt to keep it from collapsing amid existential turmoil for banks around the world. On stage at Bitcoin 2023, Pozsar addressed how U.S. banks have been impacted.

“This is basically an episode where the large banks are largely insulated from the problems,” Pozsar said.

“It’s basically lessons in not being able to run interest rate risk, not knowing how to make a loan that will be weathering a rising interest rate storm.”

He described the Federal Reserve’s responses to these banking failures as only addressing “half the problem.”

“I think it’s more like foaming the runway for any of the large banks that might be having problems down the road,” he added.

Kari Lake loses appeal over Arizona gubernatorial election loss

Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter A. Thompson ruled Monday that Lake failed to prove her claims about the election.

May 23, 2023 – An Arizona judge dismissed Republican Kari Lake’s challenge of her 2022 gubernatorial election loss against Democrat Katie Hobbs.

Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter A. Thompson ruled Monday that Lake failed to prove misconduct from members of any state election board, let alone misconduct that could have impacted the election results.

The judge said, “The Court DOES NOT find clear and convincing evidence or a preponderance of evidence that such misconduct did in fact affect the result of the 2022 General Election by a competent mathematical basis.”

FBI Utilized Warrantless Search Authority More Than 278,000 Times in 2021   By Pamela Geller

May 22, 2023 – The number is jaw-dropping.

In the fiscal year for the U.S. government that ended in November 2021, the FBI conducted more than 278,000 warrantless searches on U.S. citizens.

This is the obvious result of Obama’s weaponization of our most powerful government agencies. Once Obama and the party of treason got their army fully in place at the FBI, CIA, NSA, DoJ etc, the government was at war against the people.  [Emphasis added]

This is policy now. An estimated 85 percent of Barack Obama-era DOJ and FBI 704-5 FISA searches were illegal, and given illegally to government outsiders, according to unsealed FISA documents.

The Biden regime is at war against the American people, shredding the Constitution and our unalienable rights.

Sweden: Muslim migrant who murdered 78-year-old woman and beat her husband can now get citizenship   BY ROBERT SPENCER

Celebrate diversity! What could possibly go wrong?

MAY 22, 2023 5:00 PM – “Ahmad killed Inger, 78 – now he can get Swedish citizenship,” translated from “Ahmad slog ihjäl Inger, 78 – nu kan han få svenskt medborgarskap,” Fria Tider, May 14, 2023:

DOMESTIC. In 2010, Ahmad Akileh, then 23 years old, beat 78-year-old Inger to death in Landskrona after her husband honked at him as he tried to squeeze into a parking space. Now the government can grant Ahmad Akileh Swedish citizenship.

Akileh first beat the husband and then hit the elderly lady on the head until she died of her injuries. He was convicted of causing the death of another and received two years in prison as punishment.

The issue of deportation was not addressed by the court, and after Ahmad Akileh was set free, SD leader Jimmie Åkesson condemned the lax Swedish justice system.

Blinken facing contempt of Congress threat allows McCaul to see ‘dissent’ cable in Afghanistan exit   By Madeleine Hubbard

McCaul is pushing for the agency to allow other members of the committee to review the dissent cable.

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul is scheduled on Tuesday to review a critical cable sent from diplomats in the U.S. Embassy in Kabul shortly before the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021.

After McCaul, a Texas Republican, threatened last week to schedule a vote holding Secretary of State Antony Blinken in contempt of Congress, the State Department said it would allow McCaul and the committee’s top Democratic member, Rep. Greg Meeks, to view the cable at the agency.

The top House Foreign Affairs members will be able to review the cable with the names of the signatories redacted.

The State Department has briefed McCaul on the classified cable, but McCaul threatened to hold a contempt vote against Blinken after he did not comply with a subpoena issued in March.

Chicago to receive federal help to combat homelessness

Along with Chicago, federal officials are set to land in Dallas, Los Angeles, Seattle and the Phoenix metropolitan area

The Biden administration has tabbed Chicago as one of five urban centers it plans to send federal agents to to help fight homelessness.

Along with Chicago, federal officials are set to land in Dallas, Los Angeles, Seattle and the Phoenix metropolitan area as part of a plan to speed up efforts already in the works in those cities. Officials added, as part of the ALL Inside initiative, a sixth official will be charged with reducing homelessness in California outside of Los Angeles, officials said.

“President [Joe] Biden firmly believes everyone deserves a safe, decent and affordable place to live,” White House Domestic Policy Advisor Ambassador Susan Rice recently told reporters, stressing early efforts will concentrate on making certain that veterans and those aging out of the foster care system have a place to call home.

No deal on debt ceiling after McCarthy-Biden meeting   By Ben Whedon

“I believe we can get it done,” McCarthy said.

May 22, 2023 – A Monday meeting between President Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy did not result in a deal to raise the debt ceiling.

The pair on Monday met once again to discuss a possible resolution to avert a default. The U.S. hit its $31.38 trillion spending limit in January of this year, prompting Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen to implement “extraordinary measures” to pay the government’s bills. She has repeatedly insisted that lawmakers must reach a deal by June 1 to avert a default.

After the meeting McCarthy expressed optimism that the pair could reach an agreement, saying “I believe we can get it done,” according to the New York Times. “We both agree we want to be able to come to an agreement.”

Jim Jordan threatens power of the purse against FBI after whistleblower testimony   By Madeleine Hubbard

May 22, 2023 – The appropriations process is underway, and Jordan said he is working on how Congress can “limit money” from being used inappropriately.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan threatened to cut the FBI’s funding after Special Counsel John Durham released his report detailing issues in the federal law enforcement agency and multiple whistleblowers testified about the FBI’s alleged misconduct.

“In the end, money always gets people’s attention. And so, what we’re going to have to do is say, ‘Hey, FBI, you can’t use federal tax dollars, you can’t use the American tax dollars for this kind of activity.’ We got to limit how they spend the money,” Jordan, an Ohio Republican, said on “Sunday Morning Futures.”

“We have to exercise our authority, the power of the purse, to limit what the federal government, what the FBI and Justice Department, are doing to the American people,” Jordan said.

Hispanics are abandoning the Catholic Church   BY ELLE HARDY

Evangelism holds greater appeal for aspiring Americans

May 23, 2023 – The Hispanic community in America is thought to be shaped by diehard Catholicism — in pop culture and politics alike. For over a century, Catholic Churches were a place of refuge for new migrants to the United States, who faced violence and exploitation; unlike the State, the Church offered protection, as well as a connection to the lives left behind. But widespread assumptions about Latinos have been overturned recently: once considered reliable Democrat voters, Hispanics came out for the Republicans in 2016 in greater numbers than ever. And this demographic’s religious affiliations, as well as its political ones, have also shifted. They are moving to the polar extremes of American faith: abandoning religion altogether, or becoming Evangelicals.
