Arab MK poses on Temple Mount; calls for Palestinian state to be established at site ADAM ELIYAHU BERKOWITZ
“For half a week he will put a stop to the sacrifice and the meal offering. At the corner [of the mizbayach] will be an appalling abomination until the decreed destruction will be poured down upon the appalling thing.” DANIEL 9:27 (THE ISRAEL BIBLE)
JUNE 28, 2023 – An Arab Member of the Knesset posed for a selfie on the Temple Mount, voicing his hopes that soon, the “occupation” will end and that next year, a Palestinian flag will fly over Judaism’s holiest site.
Omri Haim, a writer for Kan News, posted a screenshot of a tweet by Ayman Odeh, a member of Knesset and leader of the Hadash party. Odeh posed in front of the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount, with the following caption:
“With my beloved son Tayeb in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. We offer you our best wishes on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha. I wish you and your families all the best, and we will remain together on the path until the bloody occupation ends and the flags of an independent Palestine are raised here. Happy new year to humanity.”
The tweet was deleted from Odeh’s Twitter feed.
It should be noted that the structure in the background is, in fact, the Dome of the Rock and not the dark gray domed Aqsa Mosque, as Odeh claimed. Odeh is considered a moderate leader in the Arab bloc.
Tom Nisani, CEO of Beyadenu, a Temple Mount activist NGO, slammed Odeh’s actions.
“Odeh, a member of the Israeli government stands on the holiest site of Judaism and proclaims his allegiance to a fabricated state called Palestine,” Nisani told Israel365 News. “This kind of ‘free speech’ is protected by the Israeli government for which he serves, but Jewish prayers in the same place are penalized.”
“Israelis, it’s time to get our heads out of the sand and demand a return of our heritage, rights and dignity on the Temple Mount,” Nisani said.

Friedman: Biden administration is ‘embracing BDS movement’ JOSH HASTEN
Washington’s decision to freeze scientific cooperation with organizations over the Green Line creates a “lose-lose dynamic,” says former U.S. envoy.
(June 28, 2023 / JNS) – U.S. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller confirmed on Monday that the United States would be freezing scientific and technological cooperation with Israeli entities in areas over the 1949 armistice line, i.e., in Judea, Samaria, the Golan Heights and parts of Jerusalem. U.S. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller confirmed on Monday that the United States would be freezing scientific and technological cooperation with Israeli entities in areas over the 1949 armistice line, i.e. in Judea, Samaria, the Golan Heights and parts of Jerusalem.
Former U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman took to Twitter following the news of the freeze, saying: “Make no mistake. The United States, by this action, is embracing the BDS movement, violating a binding bilateral agreement with Israel, and creating a lose/lose dynamic whereby the people of the region—Israelis and Palestinians—will lose the most.”
Muslims nearly 40% of Jerusalem residents
About 18% of Israelis are Muslim.
(June 28, 2023 / JNS) – Nearly four in 10 Jerusalemites are Muslim, statistics released Tuesday by the Central Bureau of Statistics show.
Some 371,000 Muslims live in Israel’s capital, making up 38% of residents, according to the figures published for the current Eid al-Adha holiday.
In all, 1.75 million Muslims live in Israel, representing 18% of the country’s population of nearly 10 million.
The country’s Muslim population rose by 2.2% last year, down slightly from 2.3% the previous year.
Israeli Muslim women now have an average of three children, a figure similar to that of Jewish women, after two decades of decline in the fertility rate in Muslim society. Yet the Muslim population in Israel remains very young, with nearly a third under the age of 14, while less than 5% are over the age of 65.
[Ed.: Well, THAT explains it! When we enable an enemy population, whose ‘religion’ instructs them to kill Jews, to live with us, what do we expect? Kumbaya? Meir Kahane was right!]
‘Iran is already in the West Bank’ (Judea and Samaria), Palestinian Authority official says By Geller Report Staff
June 28, 2023 – Iran has built another terror network inside the Palestinian Authority controlled West Bank. In addition, Iran is launching more terror attacks against Israelis outside of the Middle East as well. Just last week, an Iranian plot targeting Israelis was foiled in Cyprus. All while the Biden Administration appeases Iran on nukes and sanctions relief. War is coming.

Ben-Gvir demands police explain ‘collective punishment’ of Ateret
Israeli security forces locked down the Samaria community after dozens of Jewish rioters rampaged through several Palestinian towns.
June 25, 2023 / JNS) – Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir on Sunday instructed police to investigate what he called the collective punishment imposed on the Jewish community of Ateret in Samaria the day before.
“It is forbidden to punish an entire public. Given that it wasn’t permissible to seal off Issawiya [a Palestinian neighborhood in Jerusalem], it’s not clear why it was possible to seal off the settlement of Ateret,” said a statement released by Ben-Gvir’s office.
He demanded an explanation of why police blocked the entry to the community and carried out inspections of all those entering and leaving.
The police apparently sealed the community in connection with the burning by Jews of at least two homes and two cars in the nearby Arab village of Umm Safa on Saturday. Clashes between the two sides resumed later on nearby Highway 60.

Netanyahu calls Ben-Gvir’s Evyatar statement ‘unacceptable’
During a visit to the unauthorized outpost, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called for Israelis to “run to the hills, settle there.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reprimanded National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir on Sunday for encouraging Jews to come and settle the unauthorized outpost of Evyatar in Samaria.
Hundreds of Israeli Jews flocked to the outpost immediately following the deadly terrorist attack near Eli on June 20. During a visit to the site on Friday, Ben-Gvir said, “Run to the hills, settle there, we love you.”
The outpost had his “full and complete backing,” he said, “but I want much more from the settlement here. There should be a full settlement here—not only here, but in all the hills around us.”
Site near Haifa was Phoenician factory for producing Biblical blue dye ADAM ELIYAHU BERKOWITZ
“Speak to B’nei Yisrael and instruct them to make for themselves fringes on the corners of their garments throughout the ages; let them attach a cord of blue to the fringe at each corner.” NUMBERS 15:38 (THE ISRAEL BIBLE)
JUNE 25, 2023 – A recently published article solved a mystery that has been puzzling researchers for 50 years. The research now suggests that an isolated site north of Haifa was the source of the precious indigo dye used in the Temple and was the product of cooperation between the Israelites and Phoenicians.
The article, titled “Between Israel and Phoenicia: The Iron IIA–B Fortified Purple-dye Production Centre at Tel Shiqmona,” was published earlier this month in the peer-reviewed Journal of the Institute of Archaeology of Tel Aviv University. The ancient Phoenician archaeological site on the coast near Haifa was first excavated about fifty years ago. Researchers discovered artifacts dating back to the Late Bronze Age (11th Century BCE). The site is the only location on the Mediterranean that produced techelet dye from Murex snails, and the rocky reefs adjacent to Tel Shikmona were the ideal habitat for the snails.
The dye was highly prized in the ancient world. The purple dye is often referred to as “Tyrian Purple” because it is thought to have originated in the Phoenician seaside city of Tyre, about 30 miles north of Haifa in modern-day Lebanon. Its production was one of the major industries for the Phoenicians.
“This color of purple never fades, and the technology that enables the dyeing of fibers was probably invented in the Levant, though people usually ascribe it to Lebanese Phoenicians,” said Prof. Ayelet Gilboa of the University of Haifa, who led the study with Dr. Golan Shalvi, a research fellow in the Zinman Institute of Archaeology in the University of Haifa.
“This is the best place along the Israeli coast with the best habitat for the snails that produce the dye,” said Gilboa. “Here, the Carmel Ridge continues into the sea, so the surface of the rocks underwater is quite high, and it’s very easy to access the shells.”
Safed Chief Rabbi: 2-tiered justice system treats Jews more harshly than Arabs
Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu asks why measures taken against Jewish rioters are not being taken against Arabs who commit the same crimes.
Jun 25, 2023, 1:40 PM (GMT+3) – Safed Chief Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu accused the judicial system of treating Jewish rioters more harshly than non-Jewish rioters following the terrorist shooting attack near Eli in which four civilians were murdered last Tuesday.
“In the Galilee, there is a phenomenon that is not seen everywhere, but it is seen in the south and sometimes even in Tel Aviv – protection. Criminals want to extort money from business owners. They burn buses, burn trucks and burn businesses. They turn to the police and the police say, ‘We know who it is, but we have no proof.’ So is the Shin Bet brought in, are administrative detentions used? No, it’s business as usual. No week passes here without buses or trucks being burned, so the insurance no longer want to provide insurance,” Rabbi Eliyahu said.

Rabbi Eliyahu continued: “Suddenly you hear that there was an attack and four Jews were murdered and people got angry – they burned cars, and burned houses, suddenly there are administrative arrests. Why? Against Jews it is allowed and against Arabs from the Galilee it is forbidden? Are there two sets of laws in this country? Is this acceptable to you? Acceptable to anyone? In the UN human rights law there is a passage, which is written in the Jewish Halacha from thousands of years ago, ‘You shall have one law’. A country that doesn’t have a single law for everyone, it’s not called a judicial system – it’s an anti-justice. system. May we have a real justice system.”
