2 commando companies said diverted from Gaza border to West Bank days before Oct. 7   By EMANUEL FABIAN and TOI STAFF

Around 100 soldiers were moved from Gaza border to town of Huwara amid heightened tensions; IDF says troops were backup, no change was made in regular operations around Gaza

December 5, 2023 – Two companies of troops from the IDF’s Commando Brigade, which were deployed to the Gaza border during the Jewish holiday season in September and October, were sent to the West Bank just two days before Hamas’s October 7 massacre, according to a Monday media report.

The 100 or so soldiers were deployed to the West Bank’s Huwara, the Kan public broadcaster reported, amid heightened tensions there. A shooting attack in the Palestinian town took place against an Israeli family later that day. There were no injuries in the shooting.

The revelations came as Channel 12 reported that top commanders of the Israel Defense Forces were aware, in the hours, days, and months that preceded the Hamas-led devastating October 7 onslaught that the Palestinian terror group was drilling intensively for a planned large-scale invasion.

The commando soldiers had been deployed to the Gaza border on the orders of the IDF Operations Directorate, and they were not part of the regular forces securing the border, Kan said.

Following the report, IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said there was no change in the number of troops carrying out routine security on the Gaza border ahead of Hamas’s October 7 onslaught, but that redeployment of the two commando companies away from Gaza would be investigated.

More details unveiled of IDF intel on Oct. 7 plans, consults hours before Hamas attack   By TOI STAFF

2 IDF commando companies diverted to West Bank from Gaza border days before onslaught; Sinwar last year publicly hailed Hamas TV dramatization of invasion as ‘what we’re preparing’

December 5, 2023 – The top commanders of the Israel Defense Forces were aware, in the hours, days and months that preceded the Hamas-led devastating October 7 onslaught in southern Israel, that the Palestinian terror group was drilling intensively for a planned large-scale invasion, and the Hamas leader even said publicly that this was his plan — but the military still didn’t act and even diverted forces away from the Gaza front, believing that this was empty boasting and that the terror group wasn’t interested in war, according to Hebrew media reports Monday.

In the latest evidence of information and assessments that should have enabled the Israeli military leadership to prevent the mass invasion, Channel 12 reported Monday evening that the intelligence officer of the Gaza Division prepared a presentation in July 2022 setting out “The Mass Invasion Plan of Hamas.”

One diagram from the presentation showed some 20 elite Nukhba Hamas terror squads invading southern Israel from Gaza. The presentation said the terror squads would be accompanied by engineering teams to breach the border fence and defenses in multiple places. The document reportedly included the sentence: “This invasion constitutes the gravest threat that IDF forces are facing in the defense [of Israel].”

Report: Families of hostages walk out of meeting with Netanyahu

Participants in meeting between families of hostages, freed hostages, and War Cabinet say PM refused to answer questions.

Dec 5, 2023, 5:33 PM (GMT+2) – Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other members of the War Cabinet met today (Tuesday) with family members of the hostages being held in Gaza and with hostages who were freed during the ceasefire last week.

Several of the family members left the meeting furious at Netanyahu, who they said avoided answering their questions and instead merely read from a prepared statement.

One of the freed hostages stated that Netanyahu told them that “there is no possibility right now to bring everyone home. Can anyone really imagine that if that was an option, anyone would refuse it?”

The freed hostage told the War Cabinet about how the hostages woke up in a panic during IDF airstrikes in the middle of the night while their captors slept peacefully through the explosions.

Raz Ben Ami, who was released from Hamas captivity, said after the meeting that she was “worried and angry, hoping that everyone will return home.” Ben Ami’s husband Ohad is still being held captive by Hamas in Gaza.

60th day of the war: “The strongest day of the IDF maneuver”   Kobi Finkler

Thousands of infantry, engineering and armor combat soldiers are operating since last night in the center of Khan Yunis as IDF starts the second phase of the ground maneuver in Gaza.

Dec 5, 2023, 4:53 PM (GMT+2) – 60th day of the war: The IDF increases activity in Gaza and encircles the city of Khan Yunis. Commander of the Southern Command Major General Yaron Finkelman stated today (Tuesday) that the use of force is at its peak. “We are in the heart of Jabalia, in the heart of Shejaiya and as of tonight, also in the heart of Khan Yunis.”

“We are in the most intense day since the beginning of the maneuver – in terms of terrorists killed, the number of encounters and the use of fire from the ground and from the air. We intend to continue to attack and intensify achievements,” Finkelman added.

Since the resumption of fighting in Gaza after the ceasefire, the Air Force planes carried out two rounds of attacks with dozens of planes from all IDF fighter squadrons. Many terrorist targets were attacked, including operational infrastructure and anti-tank positions for the purpose of assisting and preparing the ground for the forces maneuvering in the field.

In recent days, IDF fighters have been operating in the heart of Hamas terror strongholds in Jabalia and Shejaiya and conducting battles with terrorists. In these areas, the two divisions of the Southern Command, Division 162 and Division 36, which lead the fighting in Gaza, are operating.

Starting tonight, IDF forces are also fighting in the Khan Yunis area. During the past few days, infantry, armor, engineering, and air force forces have been fighting terrorists in face-to-face encounters, during which they have killed many terrorists. In addition, IDF fighters are destroying weapons and terrorist infrastructure, above and below the ground.

[Ed.: Major General Yaron Finkelman needs to be sure that the soldiers don’t put up any menoras around there, lest they would offend the musloids!]

Exposed: Hostages received clonazepam prior to footage of release

Hostages say they were given tranquilizers before their release, to help ensure footage complimentary to Hamas.

Dec 5, 2023, 2:30 PM (GMT+2) – A senior Health Ministry official on Tuesday revealed at a Health Committee meeting that the released hostages reported receiving clonazepam (Klonopin) before they were released from captivity.

Clonazepam can be addictive and is used as a date-rape drug. It is a tranquilizer, and acts to calm the nervous system.

According to the official, the hostages were dosed in order to ensure that they would provide Hamas with complimentary footage, in which they are smiling and calm in the terrorists’ hands.

Dr. Hagar Mizrahi, head of the General Medicine Division in the Health Department, said, “We know that Hamas gave the hostages in captivity Clonex pills, so that they would have a feeling of euphoria.” Clonex is the Israeli trade name for clonazepam.

Israel probing claim traders knew in advance of Oct. 7 attack

“Our findings suggest that traders informed about the coming attacks profited from these tragic events.”

(December 4, 2023 / JNS) – Israeli authorities are investigating a claim by two researchers in the United States that traders possibly knew in advance about the Hamas attack of Oct. 7 and profited from the massacre.

The report by law professors Robert J. Jackson Jr. of New York University School of Law (NYU Law) and Joshua Mitts of Columbia Law School found a sharp rise in short-selling of Israeli stocks in the weeks leading up to the attack, in which thousands of Hamas gunmen stormed the border, murdering 1,200 people, wounding more than 5,000 and taking 240 hostages back to the Gaza Strip.

“Days before the attack, traders appeared to anticipate the events to come,” they wrote in a 66-page report. They cited a sudden and significant spike in short interest in the MSCI Israel Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) on Oct. 2 based on data from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

“And just before the attack, short selling of Israeli securities on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) increased dramatically.”

The Israel Securities Authority told Reuters that “the matter is known to the authority and is under investigation by all the relevant parties.”

Netanyahu refuses to back down after Blinken says Israel doesn’t have ‘credit’ for next war phase: ‘Nothing will stop us’    CHRIS ENLOE

DECEMBER 01, 2023 – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not backing down after Secretary of State Antony Blinken allegedly told Israel’s war cabinet they don’t have the “credit” to destroy Hamas.

As the next phase of Israel’s war against Hamas commences, Blinken allegedly told Israel’s war cabinet that its offensive in southern Gaza must be carried out with more discretion than operations in the north before the temporary ceasefire, according to leaked remarks.

“You can’t operate in southern Gaza in the way you did in the north,” Blinken allegedly said. “There are two million Palestinians there. You need to evacuate fewer people from their homes, be more accurate in the attacks, not hit [United Nations] facilities, and ensure that there are enough protected areas [for civilians]. And if not? Then not to attack where there is a civilian population.”

Herzi Halevi, chief of the general IDF staff, told Blinken that Israeli forces have already been operating with extreme discretion, including “instances where we decided not to attack because we waited for a better opportunity.”

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant added that Israelis are “united behind the goal of dismantling Hamas — even if it takes months.”

“I don’t think you have the credit for that,” Blinken responded, a remark that was interpreted to mean that Israel needs more justification for an aggressive campaign in southern Gaza.

After the meeting, Netanyahu released a statement vowing never to back down from Israel’s goal of totally eliminating Hamas.

“I have just concluded a meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, shortly after Hamas murderers murdered people here in Jerusalem,” Netanyahu said.

“I told him that it is the same Hamas. It is the same Hamas that perpetrated the terrible massacre on Oct. 7 and the same Hamas that is trying to murder us everywhere,” he explained. “I told him: We have sworn, I have sworn, to eliminate Hamas. Nothing will stop us.”

[Ed.: Blinken:

Mapping The October 7th Massacre

1,194+ Murdered

128 Kidnapped

112 Kidnap Survivors

40 Missing

4,834+ Injured

On the morning of October 7, 2023, Hamas led a simultaneous wave of assaults on Israeli civilian communities and military posts. The dawn attack began when Hamas launched over 5,000 rockets from Gaza into Israel, then used these strategic barrages as cover to breach the border. In this massive surprise onslaught on southern Israel, Hamas terrorists committed unfathomable atrocities that have reverberated globally.  [Emphasis added]

[Ed.:  Yes, this is “reverberated globally,” but against Israel!  That’s what all the ‘protests’ are about on every college campus, and in the streets of the EU and the US.  If these misled and misinformed ‘protesters’ would only go and help Hamas, it would certainly help reduce the ‘over-population problem’, and also reduce the ‘global warming’ problem at the same time! They need to put their bodies where their mouths are…]

Hamas official hints at another attack on Israel, bigger than Oct. 7   By Charlotte Hazard

“I can promise that a war of liberation is coming, not just another October 7,” Hamdan said.

December 2, 2023 – Atop Hamas official hinted during an interview with Lebanese media that another attack against Israel is in the works, likely bigger than Oct. 7.

Osama Hamdan, a senior representative of Hamas in Lebanon, said during an interview earlier this week that a “war of liberation” was coming.

The interview was transcribed by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), according to The Daily Wire.

“You said that if the Israelis would make new arrests, after all the prisoners are released from [Israeli] prisons, you would carry out another operation,” the interviewer said during the interview, according to the outlet. “So can you promise another October 7?”

“I can promise that a war of liberation is coming, not just another October 7,” Hamdan answered.

The interviewer asked if this attack would happen soon in the future, to which Hamdan answered, “I do not think it is far off.”

Report: Truce fell apart after Hamas refused to release more female Israeli hostages   By JACOB MAGID

Israeli official says Hamas doesn’t want to release remaining women because it doesn’t want them speaking publicly about what they endured on Oct. 7 and in their time in captivity

Dec. 3, 2023 – The temporary truce between Israel and Hamas broke down this week after the Palestinian terror group that rules Gaza refused to release 10 more female hostages, and instead sought to free abductees taken on October 7 from other categories, in violation of the agreement, Israeli officials said Friday.

The terms of the deal, brokered by Qatar, specified that Hamas would first release all women and children being held in Gaza and Israel would agree to a pause in fighting for up to 10 days, the Walla news site reported Friday, citing three Israeli officials.

The truce lasted seven days, beginning last Friday, November 24, with the first release of a group of hostages after some 50 days in Hamas captivity, and broke down early Friday morning with the resumption of fighting. During the truce, 105 civilians were released from Gaza, including 81 Israelis, 23 Thai nationals and 1 Filipino, in exchange for 210 Palestinian prisoners, all of them women or minors. Israel also allowed an influx of humanitarian aid into the Strip.

IDF carries out ‘extensive’ airstrikes in Khan Younis area amid heavy Gaza fighting  By EMANUEL FABIAN

Rocket fire from Gaza continues; IDF says it hit more than 400 terror targets over past day, including mosque used as command center; IDF asks Gazan civilians to move to safe zones

December 2, 2023 at 5:52 pm – The Israel Defense Forces carried out “extensive” strikes against the Hamas terror group in south Gaza Friday overnight and into Saturday, while calling on Palestinians to evacuate from areas near the Israeli border, indicating ground operations in the southern part of the Strip were due to start soon.

In a statement Saturday morning, the IDF said it carried out airstrikes against over 400 targets across the Strip in the past day since fighting resumed. Ground, air and naval forces were all involved in the operations.

The military said fighter jets attacked over 50 targets in the Khan Younis area in “extensive” strikes in the southern part of the enclave.
