A Primer on Medical Gaslighting A MIDWESTERN DOCTOR
How the institution of medicine covers up the inevitable harms of its unsafe therapeutic toolbox.
DEC 22, 2023 – In a recent series, I discussed the how unsafe and ineffective the SSRI antidepressants are and how the immense amount of money made from selling depression (and its indefinite “treatment”) to everyone caused effective cures treatments for depression to become almost completely forgotten.
One of the key reasons I focused on this topic on this topic was because psychological torture many individuals go through throughout the psychiatric process is horrific. This is because the psychiatric medications create a wide variety of neurological and psychiatric side effects, but when a patient complains about them, the doctor will often tell the patient those side effects are due to the patient’s pre-existing mental illness rather than being a commonly recognized side effect of the drugs.
Furthermore, since “mentally ill” patients are often deemed to lack the capacity to make their own judgement, whereas psychiatrists are seen as authority figures, I have seen more cases than I can count where everyone (e.g., the patient’s family and the courts [which frequently mandate treatment]) side with the psychiatrist rather than the patient, in turn all insisting those side effects are due to the patient’s mental illness and force the patient to take even more psychiatric drugs.
Note: this gets even more challenging for the patient when they begin to lose their grip on reality from the side effects of the drug and start questioning their own judgement or if they should give up on themselves and just blindly trust the authority figures around them.
Some of the classic ways psychiatry gaslights patients includes:
•Telling them any symptom that emerges is due to the pre-existing mental illness.
•When a patient experiences adverse effects from a drug, raising the dosage rather than awknowledge the side effects.
Note: this is an story commonly seen immediately preceding catastrophic school shootings, but unfortunately, since there is widespread denial in the psychiatric field that SSRIs can make patients turn psychotic, it is frequently recognized (hence leading to it happening over and over again).
•When a patient experiences withdrawal reactions (which is very common and one of the most insidious issues with the drugs), telling the patient that those side effects prove the patient “needed” the drug (as it was treating their mental illness) rather than it being recognized a dangerous withdrawal effect.
•When a patient develops new psychiatric symptoms (e.g., mania) patient’s are told the drug did not “cause” the symptoms, but rather, that the drug “unmasked” a psychiatric disorder that had always been there (even though it would have never been “unmasked” if the patient had not used the drug in the first place). For example, bipolar disorder, is a debilitating condition which around 25% of longterm SSRI users develop (hence leading to an epidemic of bipolar disorder ever since we started mass medicating with SSRIs), and since it is so common, the “unmasking” story has become the party line most psychiatrists use to rationalize the harm being caused to their patients.
Sadly, gaslighting is not unique to psychiatry. For example, throughout many the clinical trials for many of the more toxic drugs on the market trial participants developed severe side effects, but to ensure the pharmaceutical’s approval, those reactions were hidden both from the trial participants, the government and the clinical trial investigators. For example, in recent article, I detailed the appalling degree to which this was done in:
•The SSRI clinical trials.
•The HPV vaccine trials.
•The COVID vaccine trials.
Note: many were appalled at what whistleblowers shared happened in the COVID vaccine trials (e.g., everyone telling them a clear injury they had wasn’t “real”), but as I tried to illustrate in those articles, these are actually long standing problems in clinical trials (as they cost so much money to conduct, the pharmaceutical sponsors will do everything they can to “prove” the trial showed the drug was “safe and effective).
Dec. 22, 2023 10:00 am – Bill Gates is pumping vast sums of cash into a new “needle-free” mRNA vaccine technology in preparation for the next big pandemic.
All you’ll have to do is stick his little “wafer” inside your cheek or under your tongue and you’ll be “protected” from the virus that’s no doubt already ready and waiting to be released from some distant biolab.
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is teaming up on the project with the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, or CEPI, reports Slay News.
CEPI was founded with $460 million in seed money from Gates.
In fact, Gates mentioned CEPI in that now-famous interview he did three years ago when he snickered and predicted with ominous confidence that if Covid doesn’t scare you the next pandemic “will get attention next time.”

DEC 22, 2023 – Starting in early 2021 I investigated the extreme variability of adverse events and deaths lot-to-lot as recorded in VAERS database. Some lots of the product had only a handful of AEs and others -5/6K and hundreds of deaths. See one of the presentations I made explaining these findings here. And here is a more in-depth presentation on Very Bad Manufacturing Practices used in making covid shots.
Prior to 2020, even a fraction of the adverse events recorded in VAERS for covid vaxxes would have stopped any drug product on the market. (See for example, the Heparin adulteration case. In 2008 adulterated Heparin was removed from market after about 800 reports of injury and death). The variability of adverse events by lot was also not random, demonstrating data clustering by geography, date of manufacture and even the alphanumeric codes assigned to the lot numbers, see here and here.
I later found that covid vaccines are promoted as compliant pharmaceutical products, but they are indeed medical countermeasures that were contracted for by the Department of Defense (DoD) and Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA). Some of the contracts released via FOIA are here. Medical countermeasures lack any effective regulatory consumer safety oversight at any stage of the process. This is based on 6 key statutes and related federal laws outlined in the memo written for Senator Johnson in December 2022.

1. All covid countermeasures were ordered by the DOD, typically as “demonstrations” via Other Transactions Authority contracts. DOD oversaw the development, manufacture, and distribution of the countermeasures. The contracts include the removal of liability for the manufacturers and any contractors along the supply and distribution chain under the 2005 PREP Act except in case of willful misconduct. The HHS legal opinion of willful misconduct under PREP differs from that generally defined in law, specifically, under PREP Act even proven death and injury caused by a covered countermeasure is not considered willful misconduct by a covered person. While the DOD/BARDA countermeasure contracts refer to safety and efficacy requirements and mention current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) compliance, this language in contract is unenforceable. Judge Truncale (TX) agreed with this interpretation when dismissing Brook Jackson’s case v Pfizer under False Claims Act. The case is now being appealed.
2. Covid “vaccines” were pushed under a “bait and switch” scheme where the actual delivered product always substituted with the Emergency Use Authorized (EUA) version of the product (with exception of tiny amount of 35K doses of Comirnaty). The FDA’s stated position in court is that the recipients of vaccines need not to be given informed consent.
3. Use of Emergency Use Authorized (EUA) covered countermeasures under a declared Public Health Emergency cannot constitute a clinical investigation (21 USC 360bbb-3(k)), therefore these countermeasures could not be tested for safety or efficacy in accordance with US law (21 CFR 312 and 21 CFR 601), nor could compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) or Good Distribution Practices (GxP in general) be enforced by the FDA. This legal fact was known to the FDA, DOD and BARDA officials and to the pharmaceutical companies signing these contracts. This fact was not known to the public, clinical investigators, clinical trial subjects or most vaccinators.
4. In conclusion, a medical product for which no enforceable liability exists, where all risks are pushed onto recipients, while all profits are privatized, is not a medical product at all. It should be treated as a dangerous substance, stopped, seized, and investigated.

DEC 20, 2023 – What we can see from this substack and his other actions and podcasts (see this link for one of many examples) is that Professor Dr. Paul Offit is an academic bully. He has been bullying and gaslighting others his entire career.
Dr. Offit’s claim to fame is that he played a supporting role in the development and licensure of a second rotavirus vaccine, very similar to the first, but which was able to squeak through clinical trials to get licensed due to some creative nuances in how those trials were performed. That is pretty much it.
I know the type well, and have been dealing with predatory academic bullies my entire professional career. Professor Dr. Vinay Prasad of UCSF provides another example of an academic bully. You can easily identify academic bullies by their habit of sneering condescension, ad hominem attacks, and reliance on character assassination rather than focusing on ideas and making efforts to comprehend alternative points of view and data which are inconsistent with their personal research interests and biases.
Another great example during the time of COVID was Dr. Anthony Fauci’s sneering lies to Senator Rand Paul during congressional testimony concerning Fauci’s role in funding the gain of function research which created the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Classical academic bully behavior.

12/20/2023 – Maine’s medical licensing board has extended the suspension of a doctor who has been critical of COVID-19 vaccines.
The Maine Board of License in Medicine (BOLIM) on Dec. 13 voted to extend the suspension of Dr. Meryl Nass until April 30, 2025.
“The continued ability of Dr. Nass to practice as a physician in the state of Maine constitutes an immediate jeopardy to the health and physical safety of the public who might receive her medical services,” BOLIM’s suspension letter stated.
Dr. Nass “exhibited incompetency” through various actions, including failing to obtain complete medical histories of patients she saw remotely and lying about the diagnosis of one patient in order to make sure they received hydroxychloroquine, the letter said.
Dr. Nass was fined $10,000.
Dr. Nass’s suspension can be lifted before 39 months pass if she complies with directives from the board, including completing ethics courses and undergoing a competency evaluation by an evaluator approved by the board.

Lessons From the Great Covid Cover-Up Rand Paul

The following is adapted from a talk delivered on November 1, 2023, at the Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship on Hillsdale’s Washington, D.C., campus, as part of the AWC Family Foundation Lecture Series.
The Covid cover-up began in China. But in a way we make too big a deal of that. No one should be surprised that a totalitarian government run by the Chinese Communist Party would seek to cover up its responsibility for a worldwide pandemic. What was mind-jarring—and what we should focus our attention on—is the cover-up in our own country spearheaded by Dr. Anthony Fauci and his fellow public health bureaucrats. And they might have gotten away with their deception if a federal judge hadn’t ordered their emails released.
In brief, these emails reveal that at the same time Dr. Fauci and other public health “experts” were publicly disavowing the idea that the Covid virus originated with a leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, they were in general agreement among themselves that that was likely what had happened. So why hide the fact?
In January 2020, Fauci was told that the Covid virus appeared “inconsistent with expectations from evolutionary theory.” He and his fellow scientists were worried that it may have originated in the Wuhan lab because they knew that the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), under Fauci’s direction, had been funding work at the lab for years. They also knew of a paper by Ralph Baric and Shi Zhengli describing gain-of-function research—which involves taking two viruses and combining their genetics to create something more dangerous, more lethal, or more contagious—on various coronaviruses at the Wuhan lab.
On February 1, just before 3:00 a.m., Fauci sent an email to Robert Kadlec, then-Secretary for Preparedness and Response at Health and Human Services. It read: “This just came out today. Gives a balanced view.” He attached an article published in Science arguing that Covid had jumped from bats to humans and seeking to discredit the lab-leak theory. When this email came to light, I was initially puzzled about its timing and urgency. But then I learned that one of Kadlec’s duties was to chair the committee responsible for screening gain-of-function proposals for safety purposes—and that the Wuhan coronavirus research proposal never came before his committee!
For a long time, even we in the U.S. Senate didn’t know that Kadlec headed the gain-of-function screening committee because of the pervasive secrecy throughout our government. The makeup of the committee is a secret, its deliberations are secret, and those on the committee do not like answering questions asked by the American people’s elected leaders in Congress. To this day, it is an open question how gain-of-function research was funded in Wuhan without committee review. It is not a stretch to think that someone with authority skirted the safety review process. If so, that person would have had a good reason to be very worried, even to the point of dishonesty, when the pandemic broke out.
Jeremy Farrar, the Anthony Fauci of the UK, told his brother that in the early stages of the pandemic, “a few scientists, including me, were beginning to suspect this might be a lab accident.” Farrar writes in his book Spike: “During that period, I would do things I had never done before: acquire a burner phone, hold clandestine meetings, keep difficult secrets.” Indeed, many Western bureaucrats, especially in the U.S., began using various forms of communication to shield their messages from future records requests. We have an email from one of Fauci’s assistants instructing other government employees to avoid using government email addresses. Which, by the way, is a crime.
Kristian G. Andersen, a professor of immunology and microbiology at Scripps Research, headed up a group of virologists who, by his own account, were “prompted by Jeremy Farrar, Tony Fauci, and [National Institutes of Health Director] Francis Collins” to research and publish a paper that would “provide agnostic and scientifically informed hypotheses around the origins of the virus.” Andersen had written to Farrar a week earlier, alarmed by the fact that the virus appeared to be manmade. But now, under pressure, he and others were circling the wagons and changing their tune.
By mid-February, British zoologist Peter Daszak, president of EcoHealth Alliance and a Fauci ally, organized a letter that was published in The Lancet stating that the authors stood together “to strongly condemn conspiracy theories suggesting that COVID-19 does not have a natural origin.” What the letter failed to mention is the fact that Daszak’s organization received many millions of taxpayer dollars from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the State Department—before and during the pandemic—and that millions were funneled through EcoHealth to the Wuhan lab, some of which went to coronavirus research.

DEC 20, 2023 – I had a patient recently who at age 14 years had severe long-COVID syndrome from multiple episodes of the infection. She had tinnitus, headaches, dizziness, photophobia, POTS, effort intolerance, and weight loss. All of these symptoms are due to retention of the SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein in cells and tissues after the infection. The parents, desperate for help had gone to many doctors and the girl had endured numerous blood tests, brain imaging, examinations, and more visits. She was fitted with special tinted glasses so she could function better. She has lost over a year of high school.
When the parents told me her story and I had a chance to examine her, I was stunned to learn that the parents had taken her to the Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston, Long-COVID program. As a treatment for long-COVID, they did the unthinkable, they gave her a mRNA COVID-19 vaccine. The mRNA produced a massive additional load of full-length Spike protein in her body, known to circulate in the blood for 6 months or more. Predictably she markedly worsened and became nearly bed-bound.
The Texas Children’s faculty should have known an analysis by Arjun et al, showed that prior vaccination was independently associated with the occurrence of long-COVID.
Woman denied unemployment after refusing vax asks SCOTUS to review case By Anthony Gockowski –
The petition is highly critical of how an unemployment law judge handled the case, saying his “interrogation” of the woman consisted of “gotcha questioning.”
December 19, 2023 – A Minnesota woman who was fired for refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine and then denied unemployment benefits has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to hear her case, arguing that her First Amendment rights were violated.
“Religious belief is intimate and differs substantially among Americans. The promise of religious liberty in the First Amendment is that such differences may persist without punishment from the state. That promise is being broken in Minnesota,” James Dickey, senior counsel for the Upper Midwest Law Center, said in a petition filed with the court Monday.
His client, Tina Goede, worked as an account sales manager at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals until April 2022, when she was fired after being denied a religious exemption to the company’s COVID-19 vaccine policy.
The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) rejected her application for unemployment benefits, a decision an unemployment law judge later upheld. However, DEED, a respondent in the case, later joined the Upper Midwest Law Center in asking the Minnesota Court of Appeals to reverse the decision, which it declined to do. The Minnesota Supreme Court later declined to review the case.
Monday’s petition to the U.S. Supreme Court draws on transcripts of Goede’s appearance before an unemployment law judge (ULJ) in which she testified that she objected to the COVID-19 vaccine because of her religious beliefs, including the belief that her body is a “temple of the Holy Spirit.”

This happened by means of little-known mechanisms designed to allow military countermeasures to be deployed in the face of a bioweapon. Whether this was legal remains an open question, but at the very least, the American people should understand what happened. When everyone from the President to your primary care doctor declared loudly and wholeheartedly in December 2020 that the newly FDA-authorized Covid mRNA vaccines were “safe and effective” – what were those claims based on?
In this article, I will review the contractual and regulatory framework applied by the US government to the initial development, manufacture, and acquisition of the Covid mRNA shots. I will use the BioNTech/Pfizer agreements to illustrate the process.
The analysis will show that:
- The Covid mRNA vaccines were acquired and authorized through mechanisms designed to rush medical countermeasures to the military during emergencies involving weapons of mass destruction.
- These mechanisms did not require the application of, or adherence to, any laws or regulations related to vaccine development or manufacturing.
- The FDA’s Emergency Use Authorization for the vaccines was based on clinical trials and manufacturing processes conducted with no binding legal standards, no legally proscribed safety oversight or regulation, and no legal redress from the manufacturer for potential harms. (This last point is being challenged in multiple court cases, so far to no avail.)
What all of this means is that none of the laws or regulations that we count on to protect us from potentially harmful, or deadly, medical products was applied to the Covid mRNA vaccines. The assertion of “safe and effective” was based entirely on aspirations, opinions, beliefs, and presumptions of government employees.

December 19, 2023 – A newly-uncovered trove of documents detailing plans to create a Covid-like virus in China months before the pandemic make the ‘lab leak almost certain’, experts say.
The records – obtained now by FOIA requests – lay out a plan to ‘engineer spike proteins’ to infect human cells that would then be ‘inserted into SARS-Covid backbones’ at the infamous Wuhan virology lab from December 2018.
Just a year later, in late 2019, the Covid-19 virus emerged with a uniquely adept ability to infect humans, going on to cause a global pandemic.
The proposal was made by the now-notorious EcoHealth Alliance, a New York nonprofit that channels US government grants abroad to fund these types of experiments.
Ultimately, the application was denied by the US Department of Defense, but critics say the plans laid out in the proposal serve as a ‘blueprint’ for how to create Covid, and inadvertently start a pandemic.

Staff Sergeant Zachary L. Melton, 30, was found dead in his vehicle on Saturday after he did not show up for his duties.
A second drill sergeant has been found dead at Fort Jackson in South Carolina in just over a week, the U.S. Army said Monday.
Staff Sgt. Zachary L. Melton, 30, was found unresponsive Saturday inside his vehicle on the base, the U.S. Army Garrison Fort Jackson said in a news release.
Melton, a drill sergeant with the 1st Battalion, 34th Infantry Regiment, was located by unit personnel after he failed to report for work.
“We are extremely saddened by the loss of Staff Sgt. Melton,” said Fort Jackson’s commander, Brig. Gen. Jason Kelly. “Our thoughts are with his family and the soldiers of the Always Forward battalion during this very emotional time.” according to Fox News.
The cause of death has not been released, although it is being investigated by the U.S Army Criminal Investigation Division.
Staff Sergeant Allen Burtram, 34 was also found dead at Fort Jackson eight days prior. His death was also being investigated.

DEC 18, 2023 – On Monday, December 11, 2023, I attended a webinar hosted by USA Boxing—the national governing body for Olympic style boxing — titled Our Best Shot for a Happy AND Healthy Holiday Season.
USA Boxing provides guidance for approximately 2,400 clubs in the United States. According to its Mission Statement, its purpose is:
To promote and grow Olympic-style amateur boxing in the United States and to inspire the tireless pursuit of Olympic gold and enable athletes and coaches to achieve sustained competitive excellence. Additionally, USA Boxing endeavors to teach all participants the character, confidence and focus they need to become resilient and diverse champions, both in and out of the ring.
The purpose of USA Boxing’s holiday season webinar was to push COVID-19 vaccine boosters onto young athletes who are NOT at risk of severe illness from COVID-19, but ARE at risk of suffering myocarditis from the SHOT.

DEC 18, 2023 – If you can remember as far back as July of 2020, you may recall the moment when a member of the honor guard at Rep. John Lewis’s memorial keeled over outside the Capitol. I put “may” in italics, since that collapse made little news, and the TV-news-droids nattering at the time seemed not to want to dwell on it; so if you don’t remember the collapse, it’s understandable.
The official explanation as to why that sailor fainted was “the excessive heat” in Washington that day. It was 94 degrees, which is pretty hot, so that may have had something to do with his collapse; but it seemed obvious to me and others that it probably had (at least) as much to do with that sailor’s mask, which no doubt caused hypoxia, which surely made it all the harder for him to contend with that “excessive heat.”
But that was a forbidden thought—as was the thought that 2020’s sudden spike in fatal car accidents had anything to do with all those drivers “staying safe,” and helping others to “stay safe,” by wearing masks (even though such drivers often were alone in their “safe” cars). All the downsides of masking—its deleterious effects on learning, and on children’s emotional development, and on deaf children in particular, and on adult society, and on the environment (mask pollution of the oceans was a thing), and so on—were totally ignored by “our free press” (all of whom—of course—were wearing masks, at least when on the job).

A recent study suggests that curcumin should have been in a baseline neutraceutical program to give patients every bit of a fighting chance. Curcumin, derived from the rhizome curcuma longa, is one of the primary ingredients in turmeric and curry powders that are used as spices in Middle Eastern and Asian countries, especially on the Indian subcontinent.
Shaifee et al, found a total of 14 randomized studies of curcumin in acute COVID-19. Curcumin has been shown to have antiviral properties as well as clear anti-inflammatory effects in the human body. For absorption, 5-10 mg of black pepper extract (piperine) is usually given with each 500 mg dose of curcumin.

As Pro Soccer Wire reported, the English Premier League teams Bournemouth and Luton Town were tied 1-1 going into the 59th minute when Luton’s 29-year-old captain, Tom Lockyer, collapsed near midfield without any contact.
