GOP-led House rejects Mayorkas impeachment resolution   By Nicholas Ballasy

Mayorkas faced two articles of impeachment over his handling of the southern border, including a “breach of trust” and a “willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law.”

February 6, 2024 6:47pm – The GOP-led House rejected on Tuesday evening a resolution to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

The final vote on the resolution took place after nearly 3 hours of debate on the House floor.

Mayorkas was charged with two articles of impeachment over his handling of border security and illegal immigration. The articles are related to a “breach of trust” and a “willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law.”

The current GOP majority in the chamber is 216-214.

A handful of House GOP lawmakers had indicated that they would vote against the resolution on the floor, arguing that it would set a new precedent that could backfire on a future Republican administration. The resolution failed with 4 no votes from Republicans, including Reps. Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin, Tom McClintock of California, Ken Buck of Colorado and Blake Moore of Utah.

Maui ‘Ground Zero’ for Release of Billions of Biopesticide Lab-Altered Mosquitoes   By Michael Nevradakis, Ph.D.

Up to 775,992,000 bacteria-infected mosquitoes could be released in Maui every week for the next 20 years, according to Hawaii Unites, a nonprofit that last month lost its bid to require the state to conduct an environmental impact statement before pressing go on the controversial project.

Hawaii Unites in May 2023 sued the state in the Circuit Court of the First Circuit in Hawaii. [Emphasis added] The group’s president and founder, Tina Lia, told The Defender:

“These biopesticide lab-altered mosquitoes are already being released in East Maui. Hawaii Unites has taken the state to court seeking a ruling to require an environmental impact statement for the project and comprehensive studies of the risks.”

She said Hawaii Unites describes itself as “a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation and protection of our environment and natural resources,” with a focus on “protecting the health of Hawaii’s people, wildlife, and the ‘āina from the State of Hawaii’s biopesticide bacteria-infected mosquito experiment.”

According to the group’s lawsuit, the state did not perform a sufficient environmental impact study prior to the launch of the project. Last year, state residents submitted 291 pages of public comments, both for and against the project.

“The final environmental assessment for this project is insufficient under the Hawai‘i Environmental Policy Act,” Lia said. “[It] fails to describe mitigation measures or biosecurity protocols for the mosquitoes, and the discussion of alternatives is inadequate.”

According to Lia, the Birds, Not Mosquitoes partnership claims it plans to suppress southern house mosquitoes that transmit avian malaria to native birds by rendering male mosquitoes — which carry the Wolbachia bacterium that causes avian malaria — unable to reproduce.

The technology, Wolbachia incompatible insect technique (IIT), previously was endorsed by Gates Philanthropy Partners, an arm of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, although there does not appear to be a direct link between these organizations and the Hawaii ongoing project.

An expert who testified on behalf of Hawaii Unites warned that the project, far from mitigating mosquito-borne illness, may lead to bacterial spread, the invasion of lab-altered mosquitoes into unintended areas and other environmental consequences.

But the court disagreed, ruling that the final environmental assessment “was compiled in good faith and set forth sufficient information to enable the [Board of Land and Natural Resources] to consider fully the environmental factors involved and to make a reasoned decision after balancing the risks of harm to the environment against the benefits to be derived from the proposed action.”  [Emphasis added.]

[Ed.:  Excuse me?!  Citizens can’t even get an EIS for an obvious detriment to human and environmental health?  WTF!!

   

 

EU FOLDS, FARMERS WIN: European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen Will Scrap Green ‘Sustainable Use Regulation’ Aiming To Halve Fertilizer Usage    By Paul Serran

Feb. 6, 2024 10:45 am – After months of continental mobilization, all signs seem to indicate that farmers have achieved a major victory against the European Union and its failed, crippling ‘green’ policies and regulations.

Unprecedented protests rocked Europe from east to west, from north to south. A non-exhausting list would include France, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Ireland, Italy, and of course Belgium – with farmers converging to Brussels to protest in front of the European Parliament.

Mostly, the MSM tried to characterize the protest as being about ‘subsidies’ and ‘protection against products from lesser regulated countries’ – but a core demand that united all nationalities was the stark rejection of the ‘Global warming’ climate alarmism, and the policies and regulations derived from it.

One such monstrosity is the ‘Sustainable Use Regulation’ (SUR), who aimed to halve the use of pesticides – and possibly bankrupt all the farmers in the process.

Now, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen proposed withdrawing the EU’s plan, calling it a ‘symbol of polarization’.

“‘Our farmers deserve to be listened to’, Von der Leyen told the European Parliament.

‘I know that they are worried about the future of agriculture and their future as farmers. But they also know that agriculture needs to move to a more sustainable model of production so that their farms remain profitable in the years to come’.”

Besides farmers protesting against rising costs, taxes, and cheap food imports, one main demand is against constraints meant ‘to fight climate change’.

 

President Milei Travels to Israel in First Bilateral Visit – Announces Argentina Will Move Its Embassy to Jerusalem – Prays and Weeps at the Wailing Wall   By Jim Hoft

Feb. 6, 2024 1:40 pm – Argentinian President Javier Milei traveled to Israel on Tuesday for his first bilateral visit since his inauguration.

The popular Argentinian president announced when he touched down that Argentina will move its embassy to Jerusalem, the capital of Israel.

Milei follows President Donald Trump in 2019, and President Orban from Hungary in 2023 in moving their embassies from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

President Milei later wept as he visited the Wailing Wall.

 

Report: Tucker Carlson Interviewed Vladimir Putin in Moscow – “Tucker Carlson Got What He Wanted”   By Jim Hoft

Feb. 6, 2024 10:15 am – Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson was spotted in Moscow, amidst swirling speculation that he was in Russia to interview President Vladimir Putin.

Tucker Carlson was reportedly in Moscow for the past several days, according to Russia’s Mash outlet. Tucker was spotted at the Bolshoi Theatre on Saturday.

This development comes after Carlson’s repeated assertions that his efforts to secure a high-profile interview with Putin were previously derailed by U.S. government intervention.

In 2021, the former Fox News host claimed that the National Security Agency (NSA) had intercepted his communications, a move he asserted was aimed at undermining his show’s success and silencing his critical voice against the Biden regime.

Tucker told Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo that he was contacted by a journalist over who informed him that the NSA leaked his emails to the media.

The point of the leaks is to get Tucker Carlson’s highly popular Fox News show cancelled, according to the whistleblower.

“They’re not allowed to spy on American citizens, they are,” Tucker said adding that it’s “shocking” that he is being targeted for criticizing the Biden Administration.

“This is stuff of banana republics and third world countries,” Bartiromo said.

NSA officials said that Tucker was not a “target” of an investigation but as we suspected, the NSA spied on Tucker by “incidentally collecting” his communications while ‘targeting’ someone else.

A new NSA review confirms Tucker Carlson was “unmasked” – and of course the agency is maintaining they never “targeted” Tucker.

“For the NSA to unmask Tucker Carlson or any journalist attempting to secure a newsworthy interview is entirely unacceptable and raises serious questions about their activities as well as their original denial, which was wildly misleading,” a Fox News spokesperson told The Record.

On Tuesday morning Russian media personality Alexei Vendiktov posted on Twitter-X that Tucker accomplished his goal and interviewed Vladimir Putin.

Prospects appeared increasingly uncertain for both the House and Senate’s Israel aid bills on Monday, as President Joe Biden vowed to veto the House’s standalone Israel bill while Senate Republicans signaled their intent to block a procedural vote this week on the Senate’s multi-part package, demanding further changes to long-negotiated immigration policy provisions.

The House will vote on Tuesday on the GOP-led bill, but it’s unclear if it will have the necessary support to pass the lower chamber. With the short- and long-term prospects for both bills in question, it remains unclear how or when Congress will be able to come together to approve additional aid to Israel, which lawmakers have said is sorely needed.

The administration’s veto notice described the House bill as a “cynical political maneuver” turning Israel’s security, which “should be sacred,” into a “political game.” The notice cited Republicans’ failure to include assistance for houses of worship, Palestinian civilians and Ukraine in the bill as reasons it is opposed by the White House.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) called the veto threat “an act of betrayal” that is “abandoning our ally in its time of greatest need.” He called on lawmakers to “call the president’s bluff and pass this clean aid package.”

 

Chip Roy Argues Senate Border Package Is A ‘Trap’, Designed To ‘Boost’ Biden  By  Daniel Chaitin

Spartz, who was born in the former Soviet Union and is a legal immigrant to the United States, is a fierce defender of the Second Amendment and once told Merrick Garland that he reminds her of the KGB.

Spartz is an important voice in the Republican party and her decision is great news for conservatives.

GOP Rep Reverses Decision to Retire From Congress

Indiana GOP Rep. Victoria Spartz has decided to reverse her decision to retire from Congress. She will run for reelection, she told Politico.

“I will file this week. The country is too much in trouble,” Spartz told POLITICO on Monday morning.

Spartz continued in a statement later Monday morning, explaining her decision to run for reelection in Indiana’s 5th Congressional District.

“Deciding where your duty lies – family, work, or country, is never an easy task. Earlier last year, I decided to take some time off from running for public office to recharge and spend more time in Indiana with my family. However, looking where we are today, and urged by many of my constituents, I do not believe I would be able to deliver this Congress, with the current failed leadership in Washington, D.C., on the important issues for our nation that I have worked very hard on,” Spartz said.

“As someone who grew up under tyranny, I understand the significance of these challenging times for our Republic, and if my fellow Hoosiers and God decide, I will be honored to continue fighting for them. We must carry on the sacrifice of countless Americans for our liberties and keep the American dream alive for our children,” she continued.

Spartz is one of the few people in Congress who has defended the J6ers.

Feb. 5, 2024 8:00 pm – A coalition of Senate Republicans has firmly positioned themselves against a controversial piece of legislation spearheaded by Senator James Lankford (R-OK), which critics now call the “Invasion Authorization Act.”

The bill, developed in collaboration with Senators Krysten Sinema (I-AZ) and Chris Murphy (D-CT), has ignited a firestorm of criticism from conservative ranks, as it failed to adequately secure the U.S. southern border while allocating excessive funds to foreign aid.

The comprehensive $118.28 billion national security supplemental package bill, totaling $118.28 billion, allocates a staggering $60.06 billion to Ukraine in response to Russia’s aggressive military actions.

In contrast, U.S. border security efforts are earmarked to receive $20.23 billion.

According to Democrat Senator Patty Murray, the $118.28 billion national security supplemental package includes:

• $60.06 billion to support Ukraine as it fights back against Putin’s bloody invasion and protects its people and sovereignty.
• $14.1 billion in security assistance for Israel.
• $2.44 billion to support operations in the U.S. Central Command and address combat expenditures related to conflict in the Red Sea.
• $10 billion in humanitarian assistance to provide food, water, shelter, medical care, and other essential services to civilians in Gaza and the West Bank, Ukraine, and other populations caught in conflict zones across the globe.
• $4.83 billion to support key regional partners in the Indo-Pacific and deter aggression by the Chinese government.
• $2.33 billion to continue support for Ukrainians displaced by Putin’s war of aggression and other refugees fleeing persecution.
• The bipartisan border policy changes negotiated by Senators Chris Murphy (D-CT), Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), and James Lankford (R-OK).
• $20.23 billion to address existing operational needs and expand capabilities at our nation’s borders, resource the new border policies included in the package, and help stop the flow of fentanyl and other narcotics.
• The Fentanyl Eradication and Narcotics Deterrence (FEND) Off Fentanyl Act.
• $400 million for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program to help nonprofits and places of worship make security enhancements.

The bill will also:

• If, over a week, the average number of people showing up at the border without the right to enter is between 4,000 and 5,000 each day, the government can decide to use this special tool.
• If the average number goes above 5,000 people per day, then the government has to use it.
• Also, if on any single day more than 8,500 people show up without permission, the government must use this tool right away.
• But there’s an exception: kids who come to the border alone from countries that are not next to the US don’t count in these numbers.
• Bill will also give immediate work authorization to “asylum seeker”

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has issued an ultimatum, suggesting that failure to pass the bill could lead to American involvement in war, a claim that has been met with criticism, especially given that Ukraine is not a NATO member and therefore not under U.S. protection.

 

James Lankford Has Hissy Fit – Attacks Elon Musk After X Owner Exposes His Open Borders Bill   (VIDEO)   By Jim Hoft

Feb. 5, 2024 8:20 pm – On Sunday the US Senate finally released James Lankford’s Joe Biden approved open borders bill to screw Americans.

The so-called border bill gives $60 billion to Ukraine and only $20 billion to US border security.

The bill ensures that the US borders remain open indefinitely with 5,000 allotted illegals a day and whoever else manages to make it across.

This bill was designed by Lankford and Senate Republicans along with Chuck Schumer to give power to Democrats and bail out Joe Biden who opened the borders in his first act as president.

Lankford went on with Jake Tapper on CNN earlier today and threw a hissy fit after Elon Musk’s name was brought up.

The X owner tweeted this out following the news of the horrific open borders plan.

Elon Musk: Exactly. Rather than secure the borders, this administration and many states are rolling out the red carpet!

 

Wild Winter Storm Hits SoCal: Flooding, Mudslides and Debris Flow Damage Homes in Hollywood Hills   (VIDEOS)   By David Greyson

Feb. 5, 2024 7:00 pm – California was hit hard with a winter storm and record-breaking flooding on Sunday night into Monday.

LA Fire Department responded to over 130 flooding situations and almost 50 incidents involving mudslides or debris flow.

To make matters worse, there were several structure fires that the Fire Department had responded to. There were also numerous rescues for stranded motorists who were caught in flood zones.

LA Police have also been called to over 65 traffic accidents with some involving injury. This was according to Kristin M. Crowley, who is the LA Fire Department Chief.

NBC News reported:

LOS ANGELES — Fire officials have responded to over 130 flooding incidents and 49 mud and debris flows, extinguished half a dozen structure fires, and conducted several water rescues for stranded motorists since the storm began this weekend, Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin M. Crowley said today.

Los Angeles police have also responded to over 65 traffic collisions resulting in injuries since the storm began, Crowley said.

She stressed that “the hazards of this storm have not passed” and said the city is anticipating “another wave of heavy rain this afternoon.”

The storm has affected numerous areas of California from Northern all the way down to Southern California. There are flood alerts for 38 million people within the state. There are over 400,000 homes and businesses that are experiencing power outages, mostly in Central and Northern California.  [Emphasis added]

There were mandatory evacuations in some areas of Ventura and Santa Barbara County for heavy rain and flooding. Tragically, at least two people have died from fallen trees.

Amid historic border crisis, Democrats want to make Minnesota a ‘sanctuary’ for illegals    By Luke Sprinkel 

One of the authors of the bill said state resources should not be “wasted” on “enforcing our broken federal immigration laws.”

February 5, 2024 – In the 2024 legislative session, Minnesota Democrats intend to keep working on behalf of illegal immigrants.

Democrats in the Minnesota Legislature plan to push a bill, first introduced in 2023, that would make Minnesota a “sanctuary state.” Authored by Rep. Sandra Feist, D-New Brighton, and Sen. Omar Fateh, D-Minneapolis, the so-called “North Star Act” would ban local law enforcement from assisting federal agencies in enforcing immigration law.

Specifically, state and local law enforcement, and other government employees, would be restricted from “cooperating with federal immigration enforcement efforts.”

However, a website dedicated to promoting the bill notes that it does not “prohibit collaboration on the basis of investigating criminal activity.”

“Immigration enforcement is the sole responsibility of the federal government. State law enforcement agencies do not have the legal authority to hold people on immigration detainers unless specially authorized to do so by the federal government, and the federal government cannot mandate compliance with immigration detainers. So state and local law enforcement can leave immigration to federal authorities while remaining in full compliance with state and federal laws. This frees up public safety resources for more appropriate ends,” that website says.

As The New York Post reported, these thugs are members of a Venezuelan moped-riding crew that has been stealing phones from female New Yorkers’ hands in audacious instances of street crimes. Two have been apprehended so far, but several remain at large.

The sick footage shows a moped carrying three riders coming out of an adjacent alley and dragging a woman. The footage ends with her crashing into a small pole.

They then reportedly steal her phone.

The Court ruled that under the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA) Maine’s voter roll is a public record and election officials cannot hide the information from the public.

“Whether voter registration rolls are accurate and current cannot be determined without inspecting the Voter File…In other words, the evaluation of voter registration rolls would be impossible if the results of Maine’s voter list registration and maintenance activities were not subject to public disclosure. Britain has proposed sending a NATO expeditionary corps to Ukraine.

London also allegedly suggested establishing a no-fly zone over Kiev-controlled territory and did not rule out strikes on “strategic infrastructure facilities in Russia’s northern regions”.

After that, according to the British plan, NATO forces would create a “buffer zone” within the occupied positions, including the border with Belarus and the territory around Kiev, and the released Ukrainian army forces should withdraw to the Special operation  zone.

We would be happy if you could comment on this matter.

1.  How do you assess this decision and do you think it is realistic? Should we take it seriously (or is this an attempt to appease Zelensky)?

2.  June 2023 Putin already said that Russia is considering the creation of a buffer (sanitary) zone in Ukraine “to solve the problem of shelling of Russian territories.” Is NATO trying to seize the initiative and why won’t they succeed?

Here are my answers to these questions:

With regard to your first question, this is a fantastical delusion on the part of the Brits and has no foundation in reality. But, just because the Brits are insane does not mean Russia can ignore them. It is a serious proposal. But the British Army is a hollowed-out shell. It is one-fifth the size of the force rescued from Dunkirk in World War II. The British Army is a toothless, bedraggled poodle. Can’t even deliver a serious bark, much less a bite.

In response to your second question, Yes, NATO is desperate to prevent Russia from securing all territory to the east of the Dneiper River. Up to this point the NATO countries have enabled the criminal activities of Ukraine and have not suffered any consequences. I believe they interpret Russia’s failure to respond as a sign of weakness. They confuse patience with ignorance. Given the growing turmoil in Kiev as the fight for control between President Zelensky and General Zaluzhny heats up, the Russians appear content to continue their attrition strategy as they systematically dismantle the Ukrainian Army. Russia, however, is enjoying an unexpected benefit — NATO also is being de-militarized.

Mike Collins (R-GA), expressed his opinion of the bill in a more colorful way, “This bill is the worst screwing in the Senate since that Dem staffer filmed his porno on Klobuchar’s desk.”

Speaker Johnson’s statement, “I’ve seen enough. This bill is even worse than we expected, and won’t come close to ending the border catastrophe the President has created. As the lead Democrat negotiator proclaimed: Under this legislation, “the border never closes.” If this bill reaches the House, it will be dead on arrival.”

Leader Scalise, “Let me be clear: The Senate Border Bill will NOT receive a vote in the House. Here’s what the people pushing this “deal” aren’t telling you: It accepts 5,000 illegal immigrants a day and gives automatic work permits to asylum recipients—a magnet for more illegal immigration.”

 

Senate’s Long-Awaited Border Bill Released: Allocates $60 Billion to Ukraine But Only $20 Billion for U.S. Border Security   By Jim Hᴏft

Feb. 4, 2024 8:10 pm – Senate leaders on Sunday released the details of a long-awaited comprehensive border security bill, which also contains a substantial foreign aid component.

The discussions, led by Senators James Lankford (R-OK), Krysten Sinema (I-AZ), and Chris Murphy (D-CT), come after months of negotiations with the Biden regime, seeking to address both the ongoing crisis at the U.S. southern border and foreign policy commitments abroad.

The 370-page deal, according to Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee, claims it reflects weeks of good-faith negotiations, balancing domestic concerns with urgent international aid needs.

“As Ukraine runs low on ammunition to fend off Putin’s brutal invasion, it is imperative we finally extend our support,” Murray said in a statement.

“We must also live up to our commitments to our allies around the globe and quickly get more aid to innocent civilians caught in conflict, including in Gaza, where the humanitarian crisis is especially dire. I never believed we should link policy demands to emergency aid for our allies, but Republicans insisted—so Democrats negotiated in good faith over many weeks and now there is a bipartisan deal on border policy legislation. Ukraine’s fate and so much more hangs in the balance—it’s time for Congress to act.”

The comprehensive $118.28 billion national security supplemental package, totaling $118.28 billion, allocates a staggering $60.06 billion to Ukraine in response to Russia’s aggressive military actions.

In contrast, U.S. border security efforts are earmarked to receive $20.23 billion. This disparity in funding allocation has raised eyebrows and sparked a debate over the Senate’s priorities at a time when domestic border security challenges persist.

The substantial financial support for Ukraine overshadows the pressing needs at the U.S. southern border. The border has been a hotbed of crisis, with increasing numbers of illegal aliens, a surge in fentanyl trafficking, and ongoing operational challenges for border enforcement agencies.

“I’m not sure Joe Biden is actually making these decisions,” the Louisiana Republican said of Biden’s immigration policies during an interview Friday on Fox Business.

Johnson told Maria Bartiromo on “Mornings with Maria” that he felt Biden’s staff was preventing him from taking executive action to secure the U.S. border with Mexico.

Johnson said he’d been trying for weeks to convince the president to re-institute the “Remain in Mexico” policy first put in place by former President Donald Trump during his administration and to start building more of the border wall again.

Biden has insisted that he lacks the authority to take those actions — even though Trump took them and Johnson himself has explained to the president that he already has everything he needs to start securing the border.

“He knows that he has the authority,” Johnson said. “We’ve documented it for him.

“I’ve read to him the law myself — to the president,” he added. “Read him the provisions of the law and said, ‘Mr. President, please take action.’”

Biden nonetheless continues to argue that he cannot act unless Congress does first.

“I don’t think he’s allowed to do it,” Johnson speculated.

The DOJ’s star witness in the Oath Keepers trial, Special Agent David Lazarus. lied under oath and was not present during an alleged confrontation as he testified in court.

Lazarus was in a different location. In July 2023, Donna Fiducia and Don Neuen co-hosts of Cowboy Logic on Real America’s Voice, released evidence that the Biden DOJ edited footage from January 6 in order to convict innocent January 6 protesters and Oath Keepers members.

According to J6 defendant Kelly Meggs and other Oath Keepers, Officer Dunn’s testimony changed throughout the trial. His final testimony was that he felt threatened by the Oath Keepers. From the evidence we have gathered at The Gateway Pundit we believe Harry Dunn was not being honest during his testimony. And there is video to confirm this.

During the Oath Keeper trials, video footage that shows the Oath Keepers guarding Office Dunn, in a semi-circle facing away from Dunn, and speaking with protestors to diffuse anger or hostile actions toward Office Dunn, was never seen in court and could not substantiate their claim. It was edited out by the prosecution!

“The prosecutor investigating why classified documents ended up at President Biden’s home and former office is preparing a report that is expected to be sharply critical of how he and his longtime aides handled the material, but the probe isn’t likely to result in a criminal case, according to people familiar with the matter.” The Wall Street Journal reported in November.

At least 5 White House aides, including former White House Counsel Dana Remus were involved in Biden’s classified documents scandal.

Joe Biden STOLE SCIF-designated classified documents and improperly stored them at the Penn Biden Center.

Biden also stored classified documents in his garage next to his Corvette where his son Hunter had access to the sensitive materials.

Nine boxes of documents were taken from Joe Biden’s lawyer’s Boston office and we have no idea what is in those boxes because the National Archives is covering up for Biden.

Joe Biden also withheld information from the Senate Intel Committee.

Last October Joe Biden’s scandal spokesman Ian Sams said Biden spent two days with Special Counsel Robert Hur about his handling of stolen classified documents.

Biden’s team is reportedly bracing for Robert Hur’s report which may have ’embarrassing’ photos of the classified documents scattered all over the place in numerous unsecured locations.

Robert Hur’s report on Biden’s stolen classified documents may be released as early as this week, however the exact timing is unclear, according to Axios.

“Biden aides don’t expect criminal charges in the case, but they believe Hur’s report will include embarrassing details — possibly with photos — on how Biden stored documents.” Axios reported.

Feb. 3, 2024 6:20 pm – Joe Biden’s Transportation Security Administration is moving forward with plans to expand facial-recognition technology at 430 U.S. airports despite the fact that a bill has been introduced with bipartisan support calling for the government to end the invasive policy of stealing the biometric data of millions of airport passengers.

The TSA announced it will install enhanced Credential Authentication Technology (CAT) devices at the airports, an upgrade from previous units used in a pilot program at nearly 30 U.S. airports.

“TSA uses facial recognition algorithms developed by top-performing vendors,” the agency says in its press release. This is a system powered by artificial intelligence. In the press release, TSA makes it sound like it is willing to jump through any hoop to protect passengers’ privacy, when we know this is an outright lie. In another document, Homeland Security, under which TSA is a sub agency, admits they are collecting personally identifiable data on people at airports.

The latest CAT scanners, known as CAT-2 units, incorporate facial-recognition technology by capturing real-time pictures of travelers and comparing them against their photo IDs. These units have been deployed at nearly 30 airports nationwide and will now be rolled out at more than 400 “federalized” airports in the coming years, reports MSN.

As of now, participation in facial recognition screenings is supposedly optional for travelers, who can choose to stick with the standard physical ID verification process. But there have been countless firsthand accounts from airport passengers who have indicated that they were not given any option by TSA to reject the face scans.

In 2021, the former Fox News host claimed that the National Security Agency (NSA) had intercepted his communications, a move he asserted was aimed at undermining his show’s success and silencing his critical voice against the Biden regime.

Colorado Democrat Introduces ‘Pet Tax’ for All Animals and It’s Worse Than You Think   By Jim Hᴏft

Feb. 3, 2024 8:20 pm – The state legislature has introduced a bill that could see a ‘pet tax’ imposed on every non-livestock animal in the state.

The bill, HB24-1163, sponsored by Democrat Regina English, requires all pet owners to register their animals in a state-run system, with fees that critics are calling exorbitant and unnecessary.

Draconian Measures Disguised as Welfare

The proposed Pet Animal Registration System under the ‘Pet Animal Registration Act’ stipulates annual registration for pets, with a sliding scale of fees that seems to punish those without the means to pay.

At $8.50 for pets with a designated caregiver, $16 for unneutered or unspayed pets with a caregiver, and a hefty $25 for pets without a caregiver, the financial burden could be significant for multi-pet households, not to mention breeders and sellers who may face the tax for each animal over six months old in their care.

This fee structure applies to a broad spectrum of animals, ranging from dogs and cats to reptiles, amphibians, fish, and even invertebrates, leaving no pet owner untouched.

Consider the financial burden on a family with a diverse array of pets: 100 aquarium fish could cost the owner up to $2,500 annually without designated caregivers, according to US Ark.

A menagerie of 20 assorted pets, including a dog, cat, hamster, and several reptiles and fish, could see annual taxes ranging from $170 to $500. Even a child’s ant farm is not exempt from this sweeping legislation, potentially introducing a significant financial strain for something as simple as keeping an ant farm, the outlet added.

The Department of Agriculture is tasked with creating and maintaining an “online pet animal registration system,” with stiff penalties for non-compliance, including fines up to $100 per unregistered animal. This could mean that an unaware pet owner with unregistered aquarium fish could face fines up to $10,000.

Farmers set bonfires in Brussels to protest EU decision to send €50 billion to Ukraine by Jarryd Jaeger

02/02/2024 – On Thursday, hundreds of farmers from across the continent descended upon Brussels to protest a summit attended by leaders of the European Union that was set to focus on additional Ukraine aid.

They ultimately agreed on a 50 billion euro aid package.

Tractors filled the streets and smoke billowed up from a square outside the EU’s headquarters as farmers and their supporters called for an upheaval of the multinational political and economic union’s agricultural policies, which they argue have made it nearly impossible for them to continue making a living.

While the ensuing demonstrations remained mostly peaceful, there were instances of attendees setting bonfires, burning hay bales, throwing eggs and flaming manure, and lighting firecrackers.

According to the Associated Press, farmers were successful in ensuring that leaders at the summit, which was initially focused on providing more aid to Ukraine, addressed their concerns.

Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, whose nation currently holds the EU’s rotating presidency, called on leaders from across Europe to sit down and actually listen to the concerns being raised.

“Don’t demonize the farmers,” he said. “Don’t send the army on them. But talk to them.”

As NBC reports, he told his fellow heads of state that they “need to make sure that [farmers] can get the right price for the high quality products that they provide,” adding, “we also need to make sure that the administrative burden that they have remains reasonable.”

The European Commission has announced plans to help farmers, however it remains to be seen whether their promises will be kept.

According to Euronews, protestors began pouring into the Belgian capital on Wednesday night, with some writing “Ursula, we are here!” on the motorway between Brussels and Paris, referring to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

Police could be seen using a water cannon against the protesters in shocking footage which reporter Eva Vlaardingerbroek likened to a “totalitarian regime.”

 

NYC to pay out $53 MILLION on pre-paid debit cards to illegal immigrants in ‘pilot program’   Katie Daviscourt

The cards are similar to the state’s food stamp program, also called SNAP, which provides financial assistance to low-income residents.

February 2, 2024 – New York City is set to distribute $53 million worth of pre-paid debit cards to illegal immigrants at the cost of taxpayers.

These pre-paid debit cards, otherwise known as the “Immediate Response Card,” will help illegal immigrants buy food, according to the New York Post.

Per conditions of the program, illegal immigrants will only be allowed to use the cards at bodegas, grocery stores, supermarkets, and convenience stores are allowed to accept the cards.

Illegal immigrants risk being removed from the program if they don’t sign an affidavit promising to use the money only for food and baby necessities, according to the outlet.

The cards are similar to the state’s food stamp program, also called SNAP, which provides financial assistance to low-income residents.

According to City Hall, the program will take the place of the current food service provided there and begin with a group of 500 migrant families staying in short-term hotels.

The specifics of the contract state that the amount on each card will change based on the size of the family and whether any income is received. For example, a family of four could receive about $1,000 each month, or $35 per day for food. Refilled cards will be sent out every 28 days.

According to officials, if the program proves to be effective, it will be extended to all migrant families staying in hotels, which presently number about 15,000.

Feb. 3, 2024 11:00 am – Soros-funded Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has come under fire for his decision to release several suspects involved in a violent attack on New York City police officers.

The incident in question, reported earlier by The Gateway Pundit, involved a violent altercation last Saturday night near a migrant center in the bustling area of Times Square.

A video of the incident shows two police officers attempting to disperse a mob of illegal aliens when chaos ensued, leading to a physical confrontation.

Seven of the thirteen alleged assailants were arrested and charged with assaulting an officer. The release of the others, without the requirement of bail, has sparked controversy and concern among law enforcement and the public.

The assailants, identified as Darwin Andres Gomez Izquiel, 19, Kelvin Servat Arocha, 19, Juarez Wilson, 21, Yorman Reveron, 24, and Jhoan Boada, 22, were all charged with assault.

An additional two suspects, Yohenry Brito, 24, and Jandry Barros, 21, were later arrested and charged with felony assault and robbery. Only Yohenry Brito is currently detained at Rikers Island. These suspects, Venezuelan nationals living in city migrant shelters, were released similarly without bail despite their illegal status and lack of local family ties. Reports have since emerged that the suspects have fled from the city.

In a particularly brazen gesture, two of the suspects were seen flipping the bird to the press upon their release from court.

After a cross-country journey that began in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the convoy is set to conclude with rallies in three border states: California, Arizona, and Texas, on Saturday.

This multi-day event, drawing participants from across the nation, including both East and West Coasts, aims to highlight concerns over border security and immigration policy in the United States under the Biden regime.

“Calling all active and retired law enforcement and military, Veterans, Mama Bears, elected officials, business owners, ranchers, truckers, bikers, media, and LAW ABIDING, freedom-loving Americans. Despite encountering censorship challenges, notably with Facebook removing event announcements, presumably due to algorithmic filtering and rumors that this will be another entrapment by the FBI, the movement has seen a surge in support. Anson Bills, a prominent figure in border-related activities in Texas and a key organizer of the event, revealed that they anticipate over 10,000 individuals to participate.

“The level of support we’ve received is overwhelming. People from all walks of life are joining us, not just from within the U.S. but from our neighbors in Canada as well,” Bills commented.

Bills expressed frustration with social media barriers but remained optimistic about the turnout. “I’ve gotten a lot of phone calls in the past week where people are like, ‘Well, I’ve never heard of this. Why isn’t this being posted everywhere?’ And we are posting it everywhere,” Bills said in an interview with The Gateway Pundit.

The convoy has passed through multiple states, with the intention of hosting rallies in California, Arizona, and Texas. As the participants arrived at the border on Friday evening, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation for the final rally to be held in Eagle Pass (Quemado), Texas.

Resident Shows Off Disturbing Secret of East Palestine Creeks Ahead of Biden Visit: ‘They’re Lying to You’   [4:07]   By George C. Upper III

Feb. 2, 2024 11:40 am – President Joe Biden is scheduled to visit East Palestine, Ohio, this month, the site of a train derailment a year ago. Biden was criticized at the time for not traveling to see the effects of the accident.

There’s good news for Biden, then, according to a resident and a local environmental expert who has tested water and soil near the derailment site: Biden can still see the effects of the accident, because they haven’t been fully cleaned up despite official claims to the contrary.

NewsNation spoke to local resident Rick Tsai, who has become so frustrated by the government response to the incident that he’s running for Congress.

“They’re either inept, or there’s something nefarious going on,” Tsai told NewsNation’s Rich McHugh.

“I can teach a 7-year-old to do this with a stick, and the EPA can’t find them with millions of dollars,” he added, referring to the fact that by merely shifting dirt in the riverbed, chemical contamination in local streams became obvious.

McHugh said that residents he’d spoken with continued to see “obvious” contamination a year after toxic chemicals were spilled in the train accident, and that the Environmental Protection Agency should stop taking a “victory lap” over its efforts to control the spill.

McHugh showed a montage of his disturbing stream beds in various locations in East Palestine over a period of months, each time revealing chemicals apparently hidden in the soil beneath the water.

In September, he reported, the EPA ordered additional testing and cleanup efforts by Norfolk Southern, the freight railroad company whose train derailed on Feb. 3, 2023, causing the spill. Over four months later, the company has not provided any results to the agency.

Meanwhile, the state’s EPA denied there was a continuing problem.

“We don’t have any science that suggests there is contamination that would pose a human health risk,” Anne Vogel of the Ohio EPA told NewsNation. “We don’t have any sign of contamination in the air, in the water, in the soil.”

“They’re lying to you,” Tsai said of Vogel’s statement.  [Emphasis added]

On Saturday Real America’s Voice reporter Ben Bergquam traveled to East Palestine to speak with the local community before Joe Biden’s photo op in the forgotten community in the coming days.

Ben spoke with Dr. Rick Tsai, a local doctor and whistleblower for the suffering people of East Palestine.

And a high ratio of people came up with benzene and vinyl chloride metabolites in their blood. The EPA would say, well, maybe they pumped gas that day and got gas on their hands. It’s criminal what happened here and what’s still happening here.
