Moral relativism in politics

Unfortunately, over the past few decades we have seen a significant ideological drift in politics. Moral relativism, which has eroded the philosophical foundations of this country, has taken root in both the GOP and the Dems. Neither party has stayed true to their original values, both vote for expediency rather than principle.

Through their actions (and/or inactions), our elected representatives too often reflect a sort of political ennui that makes the lot of them uninspiring and distasteful to anyone who has managed to remain true to God-given natural law and the American fundamentals of liberty and accountability.

IOW, political party affiliation means little when the human beings who presume to lead, regardless of their campaign platforms, actually stand for little more than getting into power and staying there. Garbage in, garbage out.
