🟥 ISRAELI SECURITY CABINET MEETING ON IRANIAN MILITARY OPERATIONS AND REGIONAL THREATS

🚨 Israeli security cabinet was scheduled to meet today at 7:30 PM (Israeli time), with opposition politicians also called to join. Prime Minister Netanyahu will propose giving an “exclusive mandate” to himself and Defense Minister Gallant to handle the unfolding Middle East crisis. A summary of military operations in Iran will be presented, though intricate details will remain classified. Netanyahu may also speak with President Biden after the meeting at the Kirya.

❗️ Israeli media reports indicate that the meeting could result in a significant decision, potentially shifting the balance in the region.

🔷 Channel 14 reports that Iranian IRGC commander Ismail Qaani is allegedly being detained by the Iranian regime under suspicion of spying for Israel. His bureau is accused of passing intelligence to Israel. The investigation aims to uncover the extent of this infiltration.

🔷 Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE have refused to open their airspace to Israeli jets for a potential attack on Iran. They fear a disruption of the region’s oil supply and have informed Washington of their concerns. Iran warned that allowing Israeli access to their airspace would be considered an act of war, threatening the safety of regional oil facilities. [Emphasis added]

Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) Guide for the Perplexed, 2024   Ambassador (ret.) Yoram Ettinger

1. Yom Kippur is observed on the 10th day of the Jewish month of Tishrei (October 12, 2024), starting on the evening of October 11.  Yom Kippur is a Super Sabbath (Shabbat Shabbaton in Hebrew), concluding 10 days of soul-searching and spiritual self-awareness and self-enhancement, which begins on Rosh Hashanah, the first day of the Jewish year.

2. Ten, which represents wholesomeness, has a special significance in Jewish history: God’s abbreviation is the 10th Hebrew letter (Yod – י); the 10 Commandments; the 10 Plagues of Egypt; Yom Kippur on the 10th day of Tishrei; the 10 spheres of the spiritual universe, which were highlighted during the Biblical Creation; 10 reasons for blowing the Shofar (ram’s horn) on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur; the 10% Biblical gift to God (tithe); the 10th day of the Jewish month of Tevet commemorates the beginning of the 586-589 BCE siege of Jerusalem by the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar; the 10 Martyrs (Jewish leaders), who were tortured/murdered by the Roman Empire; the 10 generations between Adam and Noah and between Noah and Abraham; the 10 divine tests passed by Abraham; the 10-person-quorum (Minyan in Hebrew), which is required for a collective Jewish prayer service; the 10 sons of Haman and the 10 Nazi leaders, who were hung; etc.

3. According to Leviticus 23:26-32: “The Lord said to Moses, that the tenth day of this seventh month [Tishrei] is the Day of Atonement…. Do not do any work on that day…. This is a lasting ordinance for generations to come….”

Yom Kippur commemorates the day of divine forgiveness for the sin of worshipping the golden calf idol, and the introduction of the Moses-made second set of the Two Tablets (Ten Commandments). It induces human beings to marshal the capacity to learn from mistakes, while warning against a recurring human fallibility: the temptation to sacrifice spiritual values on the altar of materialism.

4. The astrological sign of the months of Tishrei is Libra (♎), which symbolizes the scales of justice, truth, optimism, humility and tolerance. Libra is ruled by the planet Venus (Noga – נגה in Hebrew – is the name of my oldest granddaughter), which represents divine light and compassion.

5. The Hebrew word Kippur [כיפור] means atonement/repentance – a derivative of the Biblical word Kaporet [כפורת], which was the dome/cover of the Holy Ark in the Sanctuary, and the word Kopher [כופר], which was the cover/dome of Noah’s Ark and the Holy Altar in the Jerusalem Temple.

Yom Kippur resembles a spiritual cover/dome, which separates between spiritualism and materialism/mundane. The Kippah [ [כיפהis the skullcap – a spiritual dome – which covers one’s head during prayers.

6. Asking forgiveness of fellow human-beings is a major feature of Yom Kippur, transferring human behavior from acrimony and vindictiveness to forgiveness and peaceful coexistence. It is consistent with the philosophy of Hillel the Elder, a leading 1st century BCE Jewish Sage: “The essence of the Torah is: do not do unto your fellow person that which is hateful to you; the rest [of the Torah] is commentary.”

7. Yom Kippur highlights faith, magnanimity, humility, genuine-repentance, compassion, consideration, forgiveness, responsibility and optimism.  It recognizes one’s fallibilities, emphasizes learning from one’s mistakes, minimizing future missteps, elevating morality and enhancing family and community cohesion.

Criminals and sinners are invited to participate in Yom Kippur services.

8. Fasting is a key feature of Yom Kippur, reducing material pleasure, in order to focus on one’s soul-searching, and enhancing empathy with the needy. The Hebrew spelling of fasting [צומ] is the root of the Hebrew word ((צמצומ for reducing and the Hebrew word for a camera’s focus (צמצמ).

However, Judaism opposes ascetism and self-torment, and therefore views genuine repentance as a critical engine of elevating individuals from despair to hope, abuse to caring, intolerance to tolerance, violence to comity, isolation to integration, ignorance to knowledge and forgetfulness to commemoration.

9. There are six annual Jewish fasting days:

(a) The 10th day of the month of Tishrei is Yom Kippur.

(b) The 10th day of the month of Tevet commemorates the beginning of the 586-589 BCE siege of Jerusalem by the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar.

(c) The 17th day of the month of Tammuz commemorates the 586 BCE and 69 CE breaching of Jerusalem’s walls by the Babylonian and Roman Empires, as well as the breaking of the Tablets by Moses upon confronting the Golden Calf lapse of faith.

(d) The 9th day of the month of Av is the most calamitous day in Jewish history, commemorating the destruction of the first (586 BCE) and second (70 CE) Jewish Jerusalem Temples, by the Babylonian and Roman Empires respectively; the beginning of the Jewish exile from the Land of Israel; the Ten Spies’ bankruptcy of faith; the crushing of the 132-135 CE Bar Kokhbah Revolt by the Roman Emperor Adrianus (600,000 Jewish fatalities); the pogroms of the First Crusade (1096-1099) in Germany, France, Italy and Britain; the expulsion of the Jews from Britain (1290) and Spain (1492); the eruption of the First World War (1914); and the beginning of the 1942 deportation of Warsaw Ghetto Jews to the Treblinka extermination camp.

(e) The 3rd day of the month of Tishrei commemorates the murder of the Jewish Governor of Jerusalem, Gedalyah Ben Achikam, by another Jew, Yishmael Ben Netanyah (586 BCE).

(f) The 13th day of the month of Adar is the Fast of Queen Esther – one day before the Purim holiday – commemorating Queen Esther’s three-day-fast prior to her appeal to the Persian King Ahasuerus to refrain from exterminating the Jews (around 480 BCE).

10. According to Judaism, the tongue can be a lethal weapon, and therefore, ill-speaking of other people (“evil tongue” in Hebrew) may not be forgiven.

11.  Yom Kippur is concluded by blowing the Shofar (a ritual ram’s horn), which represents a moral-wakeup-call, optimism, determination, humility and peace-through-strength (the peaceful ram deters enemies through its horns).

The blowing of the Shofar commemorates the saving of Isaac by a ram; the receipt of the (second) Tablets/Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai; the re-entry to the Land of Israel and the conquest of Jericho by Joshua; as well as Gideon’s victory over the much larger Midianite military.

The Hebrew word Shofar שופר]] means “to enhance,” “top quality,” glory and spiritual pleasure [שפר, שופרא].

12. The Biblical Scroll of Jonah – which is the fifth book in The Twelve Prophets – is read on Yom Kippur, underscoring the four universal pillars of Yom Kippur:repentance, prayer/faith, justice and forgiveness.

The Prophet Jonah (“dove” in Hebrew), son of Amitai (“truth” in Hebrew and the name of my 4th grandchild) sailed to a faraway land and transformed a sinful society into a pious society; thus, displaying social responsibility.

13. A Memorial Candle in memory of one’s parents is lit on Yom Kippur, reaffirming “Honor thy father and mother,” providing an opportunity to ask forgiveness of one’s parent(s).

Lebanon Offensive Update: Insights from Lieutenant Colonel Gidi Harari   By Antonio Graceffo

Oct. 10, 2024 1:00 pm – Israel’s ground offensive in Lebanon has resulted in the elimination of approximately 300 Hezbollah militants, including senior commanders.

The IDF targeted Hezbollah’s infrastructure in Beirut, including weapons depots and command centers, while also uncovering their tunnel network in southern Lebanon used for arms smuggling.

These operations have weakened Hezbollah’s capacity to strike Israel, though the group has launched counterattacks in response. Meanwhile, Iran has vowed retaliation, particularly for the assassinations of key figures like Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, signaling continued regional tensions.

Until just a few weeks ago, Hezbollah leaders were calling for Israel’s destruction. However, following the pager bombings and the ground offensive, they are now asking for a ceasefire. Despite this, Israel remains uninterested, and the offensive continues.

According to IDF Lieutenant Colonel Gidi Harari, speaking at an Israel Defense and Security Forum (ISDF) briefing, one key reason for Israel’s incursion into Lebanon is to push back Hezbollah’s military presence and secure the northern border.

This operation is crucial for facilitating the return of around 60,000 Israeli residents evacuated due to Hezbollah’s rocket attacks and cross-border incursions.

By targeting Hezbollah’s infrastructure and leadership, Israel aims to neutralize the threat and create safe conditions for these displaced residents to return home.

The IDF has also been uncovering and inspecting Hezbollah’s tunnels, which in the northern region appear to be used primarily for storing ammunition and launching rockets, rather than for direct assaults on Israel.

While tunnel-based attacks are still a possibility, the Colonel does not consider them a strategic approach for Hezbollah in this area.

He also noted that the changing weather, particularly morning fog, could allow Hezbollah fighters to approach IDF positions, but expressed confidence in the IDF’s preparedness, stating they have trained for such conditions.

He does not foresee the northern campaign facing the same logistical challenges as past desert operations and believes the soldiers are ready for what lies ahead.

Lieutenant Colonel Harari noted that residents of northern Israel have felt neglected for months as the government focused on Gaza, but many now view the IDF’s current campaign against Hezbollah as vital to their return home.

The prevailing sentiment is that this operation, aimed at pushing Hezbollah 10-20 kilometers back into Lebanon, is essential for ensuring security.

While the goal is not to engage in a full-scale war, there is an understanding that a larger conflict involving both Hezbollah and Iran could last over a year. Iran’s significant investment in Hezbollah is primarily aimed at deterring an Israeli strike on its nuclear program, a key concern for all parties.

Hezbollah’s leadership is facing immense pressure as Israel systematically targets high-ranking figures, including its Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah, who led the organization since 1992 and was recently killed in an Israeli airstrike.

Israel has also taken out key figures close to Nasrallah, such as Fuad Shukr and Ibrahim Akil, both influential senior military commanders within Hezbollah. More recently, Ibrahim Qubaisi, the head of Hezbollah’s rocket division in Beirut, was also killed, further weakening the group’s leadership and operational capabilities.

The colonel suggests that the deaths of several key Hezbollah leaders may prompt Iran to reconsider its support for the group, given its substantial financial investment and mounting losses.

While this presents Israel with an opportunity to deal a decisive blow, the situation is complicated by a lack of international backing, especially from key allies like the U.S. and Europe.

A full-scale war with Hezbollah could draw in Iran, and with U.S. elections nearing and Europe showing reluctance, Israel lacks the necessary support for such a move. Despite Hezbollah’s weakened state, Israel must carefully navigate these broader geopolitical challenges.

The goal of Israel’s campaign in Lebanon, the Colonel explains, is not simply to enable the return of displaced residents from the north but to inflict enough damage on Hezbollah to make clear that continuing the fight will lead to their complete defeat.

While facilitating the return of evacuees is important, the broader aim is to weaken Hezbollah’s capabilities and deter further aggression.

With over 5,000 injuries and 1,000 fatalities, including senior officers, Hezbollah is suffering mounting losses. Israel’s strategy is to pressure the group into realizing that persisting in the conflict will cost them everything.

Regarding potential infiltration by Hezbollah’s elite Radwan fighters, the Colonel acknowledged that absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

The IDF must bolster border security and address vulnerabilities exposed in the south.

As for tunnels, while they were a significant concern in Gaza, the northern terrain makes tunnel construction much more challenging.

Although it is believed that Hezbollah’s tunnels have not reached Israel, breaches in the border fence remain a likely risk, making reinforced border security a top priority.

It is refreshing to hear a leader prioritize securing the border to protect citizens from terrorism.

Israel in Danger: Enemies Foreign and Domestic   by Guy Millière

• “[Hamas leader Yahya] Sinwar wants everyone to be a martyr—except for him.” Now he appears to want to have discussions again on the condition that the Israelis will not try to kill him during the negotiations on a deal. — David Greenfield, CEO and executive director of Met Council, August 28, 2024.
• When Israelis clamor for the release of their hostages, they are, unfortunately, just letting Hamas know what a valuable bargaining chip it has – so the price goes up. For Hamas, if the families of the hostages succeed in getting Netanyahu pushed out of office, so much the better: he will likely be replaced by a “peace” coalition who will grant massive concessions to Hamas and allow it to stay in power.
• As far as the Biden-Harris administration is concerned, a new Israeli prime minister it hand-picks to replace Netanyahu would presumably agree to US demands to let the Palestinians in Gaza set up a sovereign terrorist state on Israel’s border, from which to continue attacking Israel until it is destroyed. A new prime minister installed by the Biden-Harris administration would also agree to Iran having as many nuclear weapons as it likes. Iran, after finishing off Israel, which Iran’s former President Ali Akhbar Hashemi Rafsanjani called a “one-bomb country,” could then resume trying to take over its oil-rich neighbors, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
• The Biden-Harris administration also appears to want Hamas to stay in power because that is what Hamas’s patrons, Iran and Qatar (America’s supposed ally) want.
• Meanwhile, back in Gaza, the Associated Press reports, “Sinwar wants to end the war — but only on his terms.” These terms include a complete Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, including the “Philadelphi Corridor” border between Egypt and Gaza. That is where immense cross-border underground tunnels are located, allowing the resumption of unlimited supplies of new weapons to be smuggled to Hamas in Gaza, as well as the ideal gateway for Hamas leader Sinwar to escape to Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula — with the remaining Israeli hostages in tow.
• For Hamas and Sinwar, the bottom line for is to stay in power to be able to attack Israel “time and again until it is annihilated,” as one of its officials, Ghazi Hamad, straightforwardly said.
• Israel’s opposition political leaders, journalists, trade unionists, and many senior security officials all appear to be walking into a trap that Hamas has laid out for them: having Israeli anti-government demonstrators demand new elections to force Netanyahu out and a US puppet — agreeable to terrorist Palestinian state, Hamas’s continued rule in Gaza, and a nuclear-armed Iran — in.
• Hamas, remember, never offered to release all the hostages, only a few, alive or dead. Sinwar will undoubtedly try to string out the negotiations as long as he can – refusing to provide hostage names again, and so on. His job will be to keep as many hostages as long as possible, to buy time for Hamas to resupply and regroup.
• For months, Hamas has rejected any agreement, and blamed Netanyahu. They have, of course, been helped by the Biden-Harris administration, which snubbed Netanyahu at the airport in Washington DC in July as well as at his address to the United States Congress. The snubs evidently only succeeded in giving Hamas the impression that the US was done with Netanyahu, that a Hamas victory was in the bank, and that all Iran and its proxies had to do was sit back and wait.
• For months, Hamas has rejected every agreement: its leaders apparently think that the pressure on Netanyahu and his government by the Biden-Harris administration would win their war for them. Hamas has now seen that murdering hostages results in even more pressure for Israel to surrender.
• “We’re asked to make concessions? What message does this send Hamas? It says, ‘Kill more hostages, murder more hostages! You’ll get more concessions! The pressure internationally must be directed at these killers, at Hamas, not at Israel.” — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to the protestors demonstrating against him, September 2, 2024.
• The Biden-Harris administration has, in fact, been funding Israel’s anti-government protests since Netanyahu was elected two years ago, to try to oust him. Shortly after the October 7, 2023 invasion by Hamas, the Biden-Harris administration continually pressured Israel to make concessions and withheld or slow-walked weapons shipments, but never applied even the slightest pressure on Hamas, Iran, or the major funder of all Islamic terrorist groups, Qatar.
• In the meantime, Iran appears to be gearing up to take over Sudan. Such an acquisition would complete the regime’s “ring of fire” — a multi-front war encircling Israel.
• “Iran is trying to establish an eastern terrorist front against Israel in the West Bank by smuggling weapons from Jordan and financing terrorists.” — Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz, August 29, 2024.
• Worse, this week the Biden-Harris administration announced that it is sending Lebanon an additional $157 million – for “humanitarian relief.” In Hezbollah-speak, that means funding for more weapons to attack Israel. Does anyone really think that the battered Lebanese people will see a cent? This bounty brings the Biden-Harris administration’s prize money for Hezbollah’s war machine to $385 million — all of which will most certainly be diverted to attacking Israel.
• Vice President Kamala Harris has repeatedly called for a rapid ceasefire in Gaza – meaning the survival of Hamas – and said that a “two-state solution is the only path forward” — meaning, undoubtedly, a terrorist Palestinian state.
• The International Court of Justice (ICJ) recently announced that it “needed more time” to find human rights violations in Israel’s “most moral army in history.” The ICJ seems to be hoping that if they wait long enough, a few violations might turn up.
• As Israel turns to the existential danger presented by Iran, it will need all the support it can get, both from its own people and other nations. If they are smart, they will give it.

With strikes against Iran’s nuclear program reserved for later, should Iran decide to respond to the initial strikes.

MINDBLOWING: How The Mossad Pulled Off The Exploding Pagers Operation, Eavesdropped On Hezbollah For 9 Years

October 6, 2024  The Yeshiva World – Israel’s Mossad crippled Hezbollah by remotely detonating thousands of booby-trapped pagers distributed among the terrorist group’s operatives in Lebanon and Syria. The September 17 attack, which has been described as one of the most ingenious acts of espionage in modern history, left as many as 3,000 Hezbollah members dead or maimed and dealt a severe blow to the group’s command structure.

Now, a Washington Post exclusive brings readers behind the scenes to describe how it all played out.  This covert operation, two years in the making, was part of a meticulously planned effort by Mossad to infiltrate and neutralize Hezbollah, and revolved around the sale of a new line of Apollo-branded AR924 pagers, which Hezbollah believed to be untraceable and perfectly suited for battlefield communications.

The Origins of the Plot

The idea for the operation emerged in 2022, during a period of relative calm along Israel’s northern border with Lebanon. Hezbollah, with its vast arsenal of precision-guided missiles and reputation for evading Israeli intelligence, posed an ongoing threat. Israeli officials had grown increasingly alarmed as the group continued to amass weapons capable of striking deep into Israeli territory.

Hezbollah had long been paranoid about Israeli surveillance, aware that Mossad had infiltrated its ranks with human informants and electronic monitoring devices. The group’s leaders were particularly wary of communication vulnerabilities, fearing that ordinary cell phones could be used by Israeli intelligence to eavesdrop or track their movements. In response, Hezbollah sought hack-proof communication devices that could withstand the scrutiny of Israel’s high-tech intelligence apparatus.

This demand opened the door for Mossad to craft an elaborate deception. The agency developed a strategy to lure Hezbollah into purchasing seemingly secure devices—pagers and walkie-talkies—that were, in reality, booby-trapped with hidden explosives.

The first part of the plan involved rigging walkie-talkies with oversized batteries that concealed explosives, allowing Mossad to eavesdrop on Hezbollah communications for nearly a decade. The walkie-talkies, distributed as early as 2015, gave Israel full access to Hezbollah’s communication network while lying dormant as potential bombs, ready to be detonated at a moment’s notice.

But in 2022, a new opportunity arose, leading Mossad to focus on a more innovative device: the Apollo AR924 pager.

The Sale of the Booby-Trapped Pagers

Hezbollah had no reason to suspect foul play when, in 2023, it began receiving solicitations to purchase Apollo-branded AR924 pagers. These pagers, slightly bulky but known for their durability, were designed for use in rugged conditions, making them ideal for Hezbollah’s decentralized network of fighters. One of their key selling points was an oversized battery capable of lasting months without needing to be charged—a crucial feature for operatives in remote areas.

The sales pitch came from a trusted source: a marketing official with links to the Apollo brand. This individual, a former Middle East sales representative for the Taiwanese company that manufactured the pagers, had no knowledge of Mossad’s involvement. She established her own company, obtained a license to sell Apollo products, and unknowingly facilitated the sale to Hezbollah. According to Israeli officials familiar with the operation, she convinced Hezbollah leaders that the AR924 pager was perfect for their needs.

“She was the one in touch with Hezbollah and explained to them why the bigger pager with the larger battery was better than the original model,” said an Israeli official.

What Hezbollah didn’t know was that these pagers were assembled in Israel under Mossad’s oversight. The devices contained a hidden explosive component in their battery packs, which was virtually undetectable even if disassembled or X-rayed. Mossad also engineered the pagers to allow for remote detonation via a signal, ensuring that thousands of the devices could be triggered simultaneously.

One particularly sinister feature of the AR924 pagers was a two-step de-encryption procedure required to access secure messages. Users needed to press two buttons simultaneously to unlock encrypted messages, ensuring that both hands were on the device when it exploded.

In February 2024, Hezbollah distributed the pagers to around 5,000 of its operatives, including mid-level fighters and support personnel. They had no idea that they were holding Israeli-engineered bombs.

The Triggering of the Devices

By the time Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his intelligence advisers gathered on September 12 to discuss action against Hezbollah, thousands of pagers had already been placed into the hands of Hezbollah operatives. Mossad officials briefed Netanyahu on the secret operation, explaining how the booby-trapped pagers could wreak havoc on Hezbollah’s leadership.

Despite the potential risks of retaliation, Netanyahu approved the operation, recognizing that it could significantly weaken Hezbollah at a time when Israel was engaged in heavy fighting against Hamas in Gaza.

On September 17, thousands of Hezbollah fighters received a notification on their pagers: “You received an encrypted message.” As the operatives followed instructions to decrypt the message, pressing two buttons, the pagers detonated. In an instant, explosions ripped through homes, vehicles, and streets across Lebanon and Syria, blowing off hands and maiming or killing anyone holding the devices.

Israeli officials later confirmed that in many cases, the blast severed both of the users’ hands, rendering them unable to fight or operate weapons. “You had to push two buttons to read the message,” an Israeli official said, explaining the gruesome effect.

Mossad’s remote detonation of thousands of additional pagers shortly after the initial blasts caused even more destruction. The following day, hundreds of booby-trapped walkie-talkies, distributed years earlier, were detonated in a similar manner, killing or injuring more Hezbollah personnel.

The Fallout: Hezbollah in Disarray

The effects of the operation were immediate and devastating. Hezbollah’s leadership was thrown into disarray, with key mid-level operatives and support personnel either dead or incapacitated. As Hezbollah struggled to respond, Israel launched a series of airstrikes on the group’s headquarters, logistics centers, and weapons depots in Lebanon, further crippling the organization.

The largest of these strikes occurred on September 27, targeting a command center buried deep beneath Beirut. This attack was personally authorized by Netanyahu as he traveled to New York for a speech at the United Nations. During the speech, he declared, “We will not accept a terror army perched on our northern border, able to perpetrate another Oct. 7-style massacre,” referencing Hezbollah’s potential threat to Israeli citizens.

Just a day later, Hezbollah confirmed what had already become apparent to much of the world: Hasan Nasrallah, the group’s leader and Israel’s longtime nemesis, had been killed in the attack.

 

Head of Iran’s anti-Mossad intel unit was himself an Israeli agent, reveals former Iranian president

October 1, 2024   World Israel News – Former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says Iranian intelligence completely infiltrated by Mossad agents.

An Iranian elite intelligence unit aimed at thwarting Mossad activity was thoroughly infiltrated by the Mossad, said former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a bombshell interview with CNN Turkey on Monday.

“Israel can even threaten the safety of the [Supreme Leader Ali] Khamenei with its intelligence network operating in Iran through the Mossad. Let me give an example from eight years ago to understand the kind of power Israel has achieved within Iran through the Mossad,” Ahmadinejad said.

“Israel organizes complex operations inside Iran,” he continued. “They can easily obtain very important information. Iranian authorities are still silent about this situation. Mossad had such a large network of agents in Iran, both on the streets and within the government, that they could have assassinated anyone they wanted to.”

Ahmadinejad added that the Iranian in charge of the country’s anti-Mossad unit “was an Israeli agent.”

The former president also said that this individual, along with 20 others in the unit, were responsible for the theft of classified documents regarding Iran’s nuclear program, which were presented to the United Nations by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in 2018.

Those double agents also were responsible for the assassination of several Iranian nuclear scientists, then fled the country.

“The Mossad has infiltrated various state units in Iran over the past ten years. All government officials now need to fear for their lives,” former Iranian foreign minister Ali Younesi said in a 2022 interview.

“Things have gotten to a point where they have started openly threatening government officials. As someone who worked in the intelligence ministry, the situation pains me.”

According to recent reports, the Mossad has foiled some 50 terror attacks since the October 7th massacres.

A recent failed suicide bombing in Tel Aviv is thought to have been planned by Iran.

Salha became famous for waving his hands out the window that were covered in the blood of two IDF reserve soldiers that he and other perpetrators of the lynching had murdered.

OCTOBER 3, 2024  Jerusalem Post – Aziz Salha, one of the perpetrators of the Ramallah lynching in 2000, was killed in an IAF strike in central Gaza, the IDF reported on Thursday.

Salha became famous for waving his hands out the window that were covered in the blood of two IDF reserve soldiers that he and other perpetrators of the lynching had murdered.

Nearly 24 years ago, IDF reservists Vadim Norzhich and Yosef Avrahami were lynched by a Palestinian mob while detained at the el-Bireh police station in Ramallah after accidentally entering the city controlled by the Palestinian Authority.

Since the lynching incident, Salha operated in the West Bank, retaining his involvement with Hamas until he was eliminated, the IDF noted in their report. Salha was arrested in 2001, however, he was released as part of the Gilad Schalit deal and deported to the Gaza Strip.

Events leading to the lynching

When the two accidentally arrived at the city, the reservists were detained by PA policemen and taken to the local police station in Ramallah’s twin city, el-Bireh, close to the headquarters of PLO chief Yasser Arafat.

Rumors spread that Israeli undercover agents were being detained at the police station, prompting a crowd of over 1,000 to gather, calling for their deaths.

The IDF reservists were beaten and stabbed to death by the crowd, after which, Salha was photographed with his bloody hands in the air

In December 2022, another one of the perpetrators, Nasser Abu Hamid, died from cancer. He was a founder of Fatah’s al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade.

 

 

Boots on the Lebanese ground 

October 5, 2024 – The military has released footage of the Etzioni Brigade, the first reserve brigade to enter southern Lebanon during the ongoing war. They are operating under the 36th Division. Currently, two IDF divisions—the 36th and 98th—are active in southern Lebanon, focused on dismantling Hezbollah infrastructure.

Oct. 7, 2024, 4:05 p.m. ET  New York Post – As if commemorating the one year anniversary of the worst single-day massacre of Jews since the Holocaust wasn’t harrowing enough, we American Jews were treated Monday to a reminder that the marauders who want us dead are alive and well in New York City.

There they were, in Times Square and in Grand Central and in Columbus Circle and elsewhere in the greatest city on earth, chanting for Hamas, Hezbollah and other death cults committed to raping, kidnapping and killing Israelis, Americans and Jews.  [Emphasis added]

There they were, on American soil, cheering for the monsters who still hold four American citizens in captivity.

There they were, promising to globalize the Intifada and bring the bloodshed that is their only true passion to these shores as well.

Watching the kaffiyeh-clad thugs, many of my friends felt distraught. How, they wondered, could such hatred flourish here, in America? And why were the bullies permitted to carry on with their intimidation, turning our solemn day of remembrance into one of fear and loathing and expressing their admiration for organizations our government had long ago classified as terrorist groups?

I understand these sentiments, but I do not share them. The sight of masked maniacs calling for my demise did not deter me. In fact, it gave me hope.

 

IAF jets strike 120 targets in Lebanon in under an hour

In a large-scale airstrike that lasted about an hour, 100 air force planes attacked more than 120 terrorist targets of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

Oct 7, 2024, 6:46 PM (GMT+3)  Israel National News – Today (Monday), following precise IDF intelligence, the IAF conducted an extensive aerial operation and struck over 120 terror targets in southern Lebanon within an hour. These targets belonged to different units of the Hezbollah terrorist organization, including regional units of Hezbollah’s Southern Front, the Radwan Forces, the Missiles and Rockets Force, and the Intelligence Directorate.

This operation follows a series of strikes aimed at degrading Hezbollah’s command, control, and firing capabilities, as well as assisting ground forces in achieving their operational goals.

“Hezbollah has deliberately embedded its terrorist infrastructure and weapons inside civilian areas, including homes, in Lebanon. The IDF is continuing to conduct precise operations in order to remove threats to Israeli civilians,” the military stated.

The IDF has released an infographic showing how 100 Israeli fighter jets attacked more than 120 Hezbollah targets simultaneously in the past hour.

 

STAGGERING NUMBERS: The Israel Defense Forces report that since the war began on October 7, 2023, over 26,000 rockets and missiles have been launched at Israel.

“Other than a select few, most of the residents in our town have no bomb shelters,” the residents told Israel National News – Arutz Sheva. “It is unnecessary to add that the vast majority of the young settlements are caravans and prefabricated construction, so in times of emergency we are helpless and forced to rely only on Heavenly mercy.”

“Even though this is not the first time rockets have been fired towards the young settlements, there is still no solution. During the night, unfortunately, we once again experienced what helplessness is like.”

A number of local authorities who received Israel National News – Arutz Sheva‘s request for comment said they are aware of the issues but budgets have not yet been issued and processes have not yet been implemented on the matter, such that there is no solution in sight.

The young settlements are not the only location where bomb shelters are a rarity: Residents of illegal Bedouin outposts in southern Israel have also complained about the lack of shelter – the reason the only casualty of Iran’s massive missile attack in April was a young Bedouin girl. In some cases, various organizations or private donors have funded mobile bomb shelters, which are set up in the various communities and allow residents to seek shelter from missiles.

These shelters, however, are expensive, and the cost of funding enough for everyone whose communities lack adequate shelter is prohibitive.  [Emphasis added]

The IDF’s Home Front Command removed restrictions on large gatherings for Israelis in Jerusalem and Central Israel. Here’s why you might not want to attend a large gathering.

Oct 2, 2024, 12:29 PM (GMT+3)  Israel National News – The IDF’s Home Front Command on midnight Wednesday morning declared that restrictions on large gatherings in central Israel, Jerusalem, and its suburbs would be removed, following a situational assessment.

With this declaration, the Home Front Command enabled thousands of Israelis to revert to their original plans for the Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) holiday.

The restrictions led to the cancellation of the central Selichot prayer gathering at the Western Wall, included a limit on gatherings of more than 30 people outdoors and more than 300 people indoors. These limits forced Jews around Israel to rethink their plans for Rosh Hashanah, especially if the plans included large gatherings.

However, the removal does not provide any real indication of what might happen over the course of the next three-and-a-half days, until the holiday and the Shabbat (Sabbath) which immediately follows draw to an end.

It is for this reason that a wise Israeli (or tourist) would do well to avoid banking on attending large gatherings during the holiday, and ensure some way of receiving Home Front Command updates if they do wish to attend large gatherings.

The IDF’s Home Front Command is constantly updating its guidelines for Israeli civilians, and does so even in the middle of the day. Earlier this week, security sources urged Israelis to reconsider their holiday plans in light of potential security threats, and choose a synagogue from which a bomb shelter could be reached within the required amount of time and without pushing or rushing.

Though as of this writing the Home Front Command removed restrictions on gatherings in Jerusalem and central Israel, it is not out of the question that the restrictions will be reinstated closer to the holiday’s start, or over the course of Rosh Hashanah itself.

In such a case, Israelis who observe the religious requirement to turn off electronics on the Sabbath and holidays will not be alerted when the restrictions are reimposed, but will hear the air raid sirens when they sound in real time. However, in cases of large gatherings, not everyone will be able to reach shelter in time, unless the gathering is held within a bomb shelter. There is also a real danger of crushing; in the vast majority of cases, those injured during a siren are injured while running for shelter, and not by the missile or interceptions.

Cultural and Sports Minister Miki Zohar said that “the foolish Iranian leader who made the worst decision in its history will pay a very heavy price. This is the beginning of the end of the cursed Iranian regime.”

Cabinet member Minister Bezalel Smotrich added, “Like Gaza, Hezbollah, and the state of Lebanon, Iran will regret this moment.”

MK Matan Kahana from United RIght wrote: “Iran must really regret today’s attack. This is an opportunity to also deal with the Iranian nuclear project.”

Chairman of Yisrael Beyteinu, MK Avigdor Liberman, said that “The State of Israel must immediately attack Iran, bomb all the oil, gas, and nuclear facilities, and destroy the refineries and the dams. It’s either us or them.”

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir announced that “in light of the security situation, I agreed this evening with the Police Commissioner that 13,000 emergency squad volunteers will be immediately deployed throughout the State of Israel.”

The U.S. also reacted to the attack. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said that “this rocket attack against Israel should be a turning point and I urge the Biden administration to coordinate a sweeping response with Israel, starting with targeting Iran’s oil refining capabilities. There is a need to hit these refineries hard because it’s the cash flow source for the regime and its terror network.”

IRANIAN THREAT: White House Warns of Imminent Missile Attack On Israel From Iran

A direct military attack from Iran against Israel will carry severe consequences for Iran,” an unnamed senior White House official said in a statement.

This warning comes as Israel launches a ground operation against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, on the heels of killing its leader Hassan Nasrallah and decimating the terrorist organization’s senior military leadership, as well as after killing and injuring thousands of other Hezbollah terrorists in pager and walkie-talkie explosions.

During these operations, the troops also collected valuable intelligence and methodically dismantled the weapons and compounds, including underground infrastructure and advanced weaponry of Iranian origin.

The troops also uncovered and destroyed underground infrastructure, struck thousands of targets and hundreds of weapons storage facilities, tons of explosives, and hundreds of living areas for operatives, command centers and more.

Sep 30, 2024, 3:01 PM (GMT+3)  Israel National News – On Sunday evening, detectives delivered an administrative order signed by the commander of the Central Command, Avi Bluth, to Tal Yinon Dardik, a farmer and father of three from Kol Dodi, a community near the town of Kochav Hashachar in the Binyamin region.

In addition to banning Tal from all of Judea and Samaria, including his home, for a period of six months, the order requires him to report to a police station once a week and forbids him to contact dozens of his friends.

In the past decade, Dardik has worked with other activists to establish a string of outposts in eastern Binyamin that form a Jewish territorial continuum on both sides of the Alon Highway.

“This decree, just before Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year), is a double punch in the gut for me,” said Tal. “First and foremost because he is simply throwing me and my family out into the street and cutting off our livelihood, but no less because the State of Israel in the midst of war is marking us, the shepherds who risk their lives daily in the field to guard the homeland’s lands, as enemies.”

According to him, “It seems that unlike Gaza and Lebanon where the State of Israel has internalized the fact that we are dealing with an enemy that must be rooted out to the very last, in Judea and Samaria the security establishment is still in a state of total loss and is directing the bulk of its forces against the settlements – while the Palestinian Authority is being afforded a total whitewash both in its terror activities and in its land-grabbing.”

“Despite all, those who think that they will succeed in breaking us through such orders will be disappointed. We have already gone through worse things and only came out stronger and more resolute. With God’s help this order too will be for the good and we will win this battle with God’s help,” added Derdik.

In the meantime, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant signed administrative detention orders for four months against two additional farmers, including a father of a girl from Samaria. With his signature, Gallant broke another record in the number of administrative detention orders he issued during his tenure, which now stands at no less than 28, as opposed to 25 in all governments since the state’s inception.  [Emphasis added]

Sep 29, 2024, 7:25 AM (GMT+3)  INN – Colonel Richard Kemp, the former commander of the British military forces in Afghanistan, spoke to Israel National News – Arutz Sheva about the assassination of longtime Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah on Friday.

“Israel’s rapid attrition against Hezbollah in the last two weeks is unprecedented in any military campaign that I know of. Certainly, no other Western country has achieved anything even remotely close in any modern war,” Col. Kemp said.

“The damage done to Hezbollah’s leadership by precision airstrikes as well as the pager attacks must be added to repeated strikes by the IDF since Hezbollah began its unprovoked war of aggression nearly a year ago. Key leaders have been progressively eliminated throughout that time as well as destruction of significant quantities of Hezbollah’s weapons capability. Hezbollah still retains a large number of missiles and drones, as well as fighters to operate them and attempt to attack Israel on the ground. But any military or terrorist organization does depend heavily on a command structure and the elimination of so much of that will have seriously undermined the capability to launch large-scale coordinated attacks,” he said.

Col. Kemp noted that “Nasrallah has probably already been replaced. But he has headed Hezbollah for over three decades and it will take his successor a long time to become anything like as effective — assuming even that he survived for very long himself. Lower-level leaders can also be replaced but the collective knowledge and experience that has been lost so rapidly represents an immense blow to Hezbollah. This is especially true when we consider that terrorist groups in the Middle East operate on the basis of personal networks and personal connections with their sponsors — in this case Iran. There is also a psychological element for those who might be thinking of stepping up. They were stunned by the pagers episode and are reeling daily from what is befalling their bosses. How many will want to step up to the plate against the fear that they will be next.”

When asked how close Hezbollah is to being permanently eliminated as a threat, Col. Kemp responded, “Israel has much more work to do before Hezbollah is effectively neutralized, and it is in the process of doing it. If they are able to maintain the current intensity of operations there is every prospect they will succeed. We shouldn’t forget also that Hezbollah is deeply unpopular among large sections of the population of Lebanon, including Christians and Sunni Muslims many of whom have been celebrating Nasrallah’s demise. It may be that some of them will take advantage of Hezbollah’s weakened state and take their own action against the group in parallel with what Israel is doing.”

Addressing Iran’s reaction to the damage Hezbollah has taken in the last two weeks, Col. Kemp stated, “Iran will also be shocked by what is happening to their number one terrorist proxy. The ayatollahs certainly could not have foreseen this situation or anything like it. Out of fear, Iran failed to react to the killing of [former Hamas leader Ismail] Haniyeh in Tehran. They also know their April 14th missile attack on Israel failed miserably and their proxy in Gaza is on its last legs. Taken together this may paralyse the regime. It remains to be seen how they will react to all this. One thing they will know is that they are now the subject of ridicule across the Middle East and they will find this intolerable. Not only that but they can ill afford to allow such weakness to prevail amidst so much opposition and dissent inside the country. They must now be beginning to fear for the future of the entire regime, especially if Israel turns greater attention to them.”

He advised against agreeing to a ceasefire now that Hezbollah is reeling, “It is now time for Israel to ‘take the win’. When an enemy is on the back foot that is the time to press forward with even greater intensity. The timid and pusillanimous critics in the US and France, who have forgotten the meaning or the need for victory should be politely disregarded by Israel as it decides on its plan of action.”

When asked if a ground operation is even necessary in Lebanon given the successes of the IAF’s aerial operation against Hezbollah, Col. Kemp responded, “Only the IDF and Israel’s political leaders can judge whether or not a ground offensive will be needed. That depends on two things: how much more damage can be achieved from the air and how Hezbollah reacts. I would counsel against attempting to rely on what has been achieved so far as deterrence against Hezbollah. That can only be short lived. There can be no substitute for large-scale destruction to deny the terrorists the means to continue their attacks, whatever they might wish to do.”

“Decimation of Hezbollah — as well as for Hamas — is important not just for the immediate protection of Israeli citizens but also to demonstrate Israel’s strength across the Middle East both as a warning to those who would turn on Israel and also as a means of securing greater confidence among those who see Israel as protector against the common enemy: Iran,” Col. Kemp concluded.

US Airstrikes On Syria Kill 37 ISIS & Al-Qaeda Affiliated Terrorists
September 29, 2024 @ 10:00 am   Yeshiva World News – (AP)  In Syria, 37 militants affiliated to the extremist Islamic State group and an al-Qaeda-linked group were killed in two strikes, the United States military said Sunday.

Two of the dead were senior terrorists, it said.

U.S. Central Command said it struck northwestern Syria on Tuesday, targeting a senior terrorist from the al-Qaeda-linked Hurras al-Deen group and eight others. They say he was responsible for overseeing military operations.

They also announced a strike from earlier this month on Sept. 16, where they conducted a “large-scale airstrike” on an IS training camp in a remote undisclosed location in central Syria. That attack killed 28 terrorists, including “at least four Syrian leaders.”

“The airstrike will disrupt ISIS’ capability to conduct operations against U.S. interests, as well as our allies and partners,” the statement read.

There are some 900 U.S. forces in Syria, along with an undisclosed number of contractors, mostly trying to prevent any comeback by the extremist IS group, which swept through Iraq and Syria in 2014, taking control of large swaths of territory.

U.S. forces advise and assist their key allies in northeastern Syria, the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, located not far from strategic areas where Iran-backed militant groups are present, including a key border crossing with Iraq.

The New York Times reported that Israeli security officials have been aware of Nasrallah’s hideout location for months and decided to eliminate him this past week because they believe he would soon move to a different location.

Report: Bibi’s Speech at UN Part of Deception Strategy to Kill Nasrallah

September 28, 2024  JBN – A new report suggests that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to the United Nations was part of a diversion to lull Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah into a false sense of security.

“It was intended to make Hezbollah’s leader believe that Israel would not take dramatic actions while Netanyahu was physically in the United States,” an Israeli security official tells the Telegraph.

Netanyahu address to the UN General Assembly of Friday focused mainly on the continuing violence in Lebanon and the threat posed by Iran.

His speech came just days after US President Joe Biden addressed the General Assembly, emphasizing the United States’ support for Israel in the face of recent escalations. He called for an end to the war, demanding that Hamas disarm and release all hostages.

Col. Nadav Shoshani told reporters in a briefing. “I can now confirm this to you.”

“Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world,” the IDF said on X.

The Israeli airstrike on Friday also eliminated Ali Karaki, Hezbollah’s Southern Front commander, and other leaders of the group, according to the IDF.

“The strike was conducted while Hezbollah’s senior chain of command, what’s left of it, were operating from the headquarters and advancing terrorist activities against the citizens of the State of Israel,” Shoshani said.

Shoshani said the Hezbollah headquarters were located underground, beneath a residential building in Dahiyeh, a southern suburb of Beirut, in keeping with the group’s strategy “to hide behind civilians.” He said the IDF always takes precautions to avoid civilian deaths, but he was not prepared to speak to the specifics of Friday’s airstrike, including the types of munitions that were used or the extent of the collateral damage.

During Nasrallah’s 32 years at the helm of Hezbollah, the group carried out numerous terror attacks in the Jewish state and around the world, killing Israelis, Americans, and others. Nasrallah also led Hezbollah into the Syrian civil war, backing the country’s president, Bashar al Assad, in massacring hundreds of thousands of civilians. Israel, the United States, and the European Union have designated Hezbollah a terrorist organization.

“Nasrallah is one of the world’s strongest, or was one of the world’s strongest and most influential terrorists and one of the terrorists with the most capabilities in the world, and he was a real threat with the blood of thousands of people on his hands,” Shoshani said, noting the Hezbollah leader had vowed to destroy Israel.

The IDF early on Saturday launched a fresh wave of airstrikes on Dahiyeh and other parts of Lebanon, continuing an offensive that has taken out much of Hezbollah’s leadership and weapons arsenal since Israel turned its attention northward from the war in Gaza last week.

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu apparently approved Friday’s airstrike, which shook the Lebanese capital and sent up thick plumes of smoke over the city, shortly before his address to the U.N. General Assembly.

“As long as Hezbollah chooses the path of war, Israel has no choice, and Israel has every right to remove this threat and return our citizens to their homes safely. And that’s exactly what we’re doing,” Netanyahu told the plenum as IDF fighter jets streaked toward Beirut.

Some 60,000 residents of Israel’s Lebanon border region have been evacuated from their homes since Oct. 8, when Hezbollah began bombarding the north on a near-daily basis in solidarity with Hamas, the Iran-backed Palestinian terror group that carried out a massacre in southern Israel a day earlier and sparked the Gaza war. According to Israel, Hezbollah had ongoing plans to conduct an Oct. 7-style attack of its own.

The Biden administration, which failed to impose a ceasefire on Israel and Hezbollah on Thursday, distanced itself from the strike against Nasrallah.

“The United States was not involved in this operation, and we had no advanced warning,” a Pentagon spokeswoman said on Friday.

Also on Friday, the IDF said it had deployed two reserve brigades to northern Israel amid preparations for a possible ground incursion into Lebanon.

IDF chief of staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi said following the confirmation of Nasrallah’s death: “The message is simple, to anyone who threatens the citizens of the State of Israel, we will know how to get to them.”

However, there is a long way until Hamas is fully disbanded. This process in the south is Israel’s most important goal, but according to the IDF, bringing the hostages home is more urgent and takes priority. According to an IDF source: “If we wait, we are not sure that there will be anyone to bring home.”

A report by Sky News claimed the ceasefire was to go into effect “within hours,” citing a senior U.S. official speaking on the condition of anonymity. It was later dismissed by Israeli officials, saying Israel was yet to respond formally to the proposal.

Sep 26, 2024, 11:53 AM (GMT+3)  Israel National News – The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday morning responded to reports of an impending ceasefire deal between Israel and the Hezbollah terror group.

“The reports of a ceasefire are not true,” the Prime Minister’s Office said. “This is a French-American initiative that the Prime Minister has not even responded to.”

“The reports of an instruction to moderate the fighting in the north is also the opposite of the truth. The Prime Minister instructed the IDF to continue the fighting with full force, and according to the plans presented to him.

“As well, the fighting in Gaza will continue until all of the goals of the war are achieved.”

According to Sky News, senior US officials said that a temporary ceasefire deal with Hezbollah is expected in the next few hours. The officials claimed that diplomatic moves behind the scenes have brought the parties closer to an agreement.

“The ceasefire will be for 21 days, along the blue line (the border between Israel and Lebanon),” the officials said. “During this time, the parties will hold negotiations towards a possible solution to the conflict that has been going on since Hezbollah launched an attack on October 8, with the intention of reaching an overall agreement along the blue line that will allow residents to return to their homes in both Lebanon and Israel.”

The officials clarified that this is an agreement only for the northern region, and is not related to the Gaza Strip, but according to them, this may facilitate progress on the Gaza issue.

Sky News also reported that in the event of signing an agreement, Hezbollah itself would not be a signatory to the agreement, but the US officials said that the Lebanese government would coordinate the signing with Hezbollah.

⚠️ Reports from Lebanese media indicate explosions in Jiyeh, southern Beirut, linked to Israeli airstrikes. Local sources suggest that an Israeli attack obliterated a Hezbollah ammunition depot south of Beirut.

⚠️ The IDF confirmed that a drone launched from Lebanon earlier caused minor damage and a fire near Atlit, a coastal town south of Haifa. The Hezbollah terror group claimed responsibility for launching several explosive-laden drones targeting the Israeli Navy’s Atlit base, which houses the Shayetet 13 commando unit. Of the three drones launched, two were intercepted by air defenses, with no reported injuries.

THE “CONQUEST OF THE GALILEE” PLAN

One of the main lessons Hezbollah learned from the Lebanon War was the need to change the goals of the next war against Israel.

Hezbollah sought to develop offensive capabilities that would enable it to conduct a war within Israeli territory.

Imad Mughniyeh, the architect of the plan, determined that in the next war, Hezbollah would invade, capture territories and take hostages in the Galilee (North Israel).

Hezbollah targeted areas where it had topographical superiority compared to Israel’s topographical disadvantage near the border.

THE PLAN’S HIGHLIGHTS:

• Training Hezbollah’s special forces to take control of isolated Israeli towns along the northern border.

In Hezbollah’s terminology, this was referred to as the “Conquest of the Galilee.”

• Digging tunnels penetrating Israeli territory near Israeli settlements. These tunnels were intended for the passage of hundreds of fighters, not for the abduction of soldiers or civilians.

Mughniyeh’s model was the North Korean infiltration tunnels, which Iranian instructors had studied closely.

• Hezbollah’s operational plan also involved building a massive missile-launching capability targeting population centers and strategic sites from the Haifa area in the north, through Tel Aviv in the center, down to Dimona in the south.

Hezbollah’s concept was that this situation would attract all of Israel’s military attention, allowing Hezbollah’s special forces to execute the “Conquest of the Galilee” plan.

THE OPERATIONAL PLAN:

The source reported that Hezbollah’s operational plan, developed in coordination with senior Iranian strategic experts, is based on deploying a force of 5,000 fighters, recently trained in Iran specifically for this purpose. In another report, it was stated that Hezbollah forces recently completed intensive training in Iran and were deployed in southern Lebanon and the Beqaa.

It was also reported that in the Maydon area in western Beqaa, Hezbollah engineering units finished excavation work and position improvements, and Iranian Army engineering units mined areas in eastern Beqaa, marked as potential landing zones for Israeli special forces, whose goal would be to strike Hezbollah’s missile and artillery arrays.

• The 1st brigade will take control of the city of Nahariya, or parts of it, after crossing the border in the Rosh HaNikra area. According to Hezbollah’s information, the defenses in this area are minimal, the distance is short (7 km), and there are no special military or topographical features that would delay the brigade from achieving its objective.

At the same time, a force of 150 fighters from the first brigade will reach Nahariya by sea using speedboats that Hezbollah already possesses. The mission assigned to this force is to take as many hostages as possible to prevent Israel from bombing Hezbollah forces in this sector.

• The 2nd brigade will take control of the town of Shlomi, which has a population of 6,500 and is located about 300 meters from the border. The goal is to sever the IDF’s supply lines and force it to send reinforcements from the east to areas in North Israel, where a large number of military forces are located.

• The 3rd brigade was instructed to reach the city of Karmiel and take control of areas south of it in order to block movement from Acre on the Mediterranean coast to Safed.

• The 4th brigade will take control of the the towns: Malkia, Ramot Naftali, and Yiftach to prevent the IDF from producing fire from these areas toward southern Lebanon.

•The 5th brigade will serve as a strategic reserve force assigned to special missions.

The Hezbollah-affiliated source reported that Hezbollah’s fighting force will consist of 5 brigades, each composed of 1,000 fighters. Each brigade has been assigned a defined combat zone in Israel to take control of. Therefore, each brigade is familiar with the structure and topographical conditions of its zone and has trained for its conquest.

This is the major attack planned against Israel that the IDF is currently destroying in Lebanon.

All this, armed and trained by Iran.

Furthermore, Hezbollah has thousands more forces trained and prepared to attack Israel which are stationed in Syria and in Iraq.

Tomatoes Now Luxury Items in Israeli Markets

September 24, 2024  JBN News – From salads to shakshuka, tomatoes are a staple of Israeli cuisine with an average consumption of 14,000 tons per month. However, a recent shortage has turned this kitchen essential into a rare commodity.

On average, regular tomatoes are now selling for up to 15 shekels ($4.00) per kilogram in stores. Premium cluster tomatoes have reached even more staggering heights, commanding between 25 and 45 shekels per kilo. The crisis has contributed to a 10% increase in the Consumer Price Index which is significantly impacting the cost of living for average Israelis.

Two main factors have contributed to Israel’s tomato catastrophe.

Last summer, a merciless heatwave decimated local harvests, leaving farmers with wilted crops and slim pickings. Just as the domestic shortage bit hard, Turkish President Recep Erdoğan’s complete import/export ban in support of Hamas has left Israeli supermarkets scrambling.

To make matters worse, Jordan is refusing to export tomatoes to Israel even after the Israeli Health Ministry lifted a recent ban on produce imports. The ban was initially imposed last month due to concerns about cholera bacteria found in runoff from the Yarmouk River. Despite Israel’s reinstatement of imports under certain conditions, Jordanian officials remain uncooperative.

A source in Israel’s Agriculture Ministry suggests that Jordan might be using this incident as an excuse to punish Israel over its ongoing war with Hamas and Hezbollah.

“The Jordanians were offended by the unilateral announcement and are awaiting an apology from the Health Ministry,” the source tells JNS. “With a global shortage of tomatoes and rising demand, Jordanian growers have no issue finding alternative markets.”

Now, with both home-grown and imported options drying up, Israel’s Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has ordered an additional import quota for 5,000 tons of tariff-free tomatoes. Effective until December, it follows a similar 5,000-ton quota approved in mid-August by the Health Ministry, with 2,500 tons already entering Israel from Poland.

IDF Names Offensive Against Hezbollah “Northern Arrows” After It Carries Out 1,300+ Airstrikes   [VIDEOS]

September 23, 2024 4:30 pm  Yeshiva World News – The IDF has officially named its military offensive against Hezbollah in Lebanon “Northern Arrows,” according to IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi.

The announcement comes after a major escalation in hostilities over the past 24 hours, with the IDF launching extensive airstrikes targeting Hezbollah positions across Lebanon. According to military reports, more than 1,300 sites linked to the Iran-backed terror group have been hit in the ongoing operation.

One of the airstrikes targeted senior Hezbollah commander Ali Karaki in Beirut. If his death is confirmed, it would leave Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah increasingly isolated, as Israel has systematically eliminated much of the group’s leadership over the past 11 months. However, in a statement released Monday night, Hezbollah dismissed rumors of his death, insisting that Karaki was “fine and, God willing, in full health and wellness and has moved to a safe place.”

The IDF has yet to provide further details on the strike, which marks the fourth such operation in Beirut since Hezbollah-led forces began launching near-daily attacks on Israeli communities and military posts along the northern border, in solidarity with Hamas during the ongoing war in Gaza.

The IDF on Monday night released images that purportedly show Hezbollah storing munitions inside civilian homes in southern Lebanon. One of the images depicts a long-range missile housed in the attic of a residential home in the village of Houmine al-Tahta. The missile, mounted on a hydraulic system, is reportedly ready to launch from an opening in the roof, with a Lebanese family living on the first floor directly beneath the weapon.

“This is an immediate and real threat to Israeli civilians, and we have an obligation to remove it,” IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said during a press conference.

⚠️ HEZBOLLAH’S ESCALATING THREATS TO ISRAEL AND THE IDF’S STRATEGIC RESPONSE TO PROTECT CIVILIANS ⚠️

Since October 8th, Hezbollah has launched over 9,000 rockets, missiles, and UAVs targeting Israeli families, homes, and communities. In the past week alone, more than 700 rockets and UAVs have struck deep inside Israel, forcing hundreds of thousands of citizens into bomb shelters. For years, Hezbollah has been planning to replicate in northern Israel what Hamas did in the south on October 7th—an invasion, infiltration of civilian communities, and the massacre of innocent civilians. To accomplish this, they devised a strategy called “Conquer the Galilee.”

On Friday, the IDF launched a precise strike in Beirut, targeting Ibrahim Aqil, the architect of this plan, along with other senior commanders of Hezbollah’s Radwan Force. These commanders were planning a similar attack in northern Israel.

In order to prevent Hezbollah from carrying out such an attack, and to ensure the safe return of 60,000 Israelis displaced from northern Israel, the IDF has acted aggressively against the threat posed by Hezbollah, which is just a few hundred meters from Israeli communities. Based on accurate intelligence, the IDF has conducted extensive strikes on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. So far, 1,300 targets have been hit, including long-range missiles, rockets with 1,000 kg warheads, and UAVs—all capable of reaching deep inside Israeli territory and causing significant damage.

Despite efforts to minimize civilian casualties by providing warnings to residents in Lebanon where Hezbollah has embedded its military assets, Hezbollah has prevented civilians from evacuating, using them as human shields. Hezbollah strategically stores long-range rockets in civilian homes, such as in the village of Houmin Al Tachta in Southern Lebanon, where rockets are hidden in attics under homes where families reside.

Secondary explosions have been observed following IDF strikes, indicating that Hezbollah’s weapon storage in civilian areas has caused significant damage. One example is a house used by Hezbollah to store weapons that exploded after an IDF strike, triggering a nearby rocket launch. Hezbollah bears responsibility for this dangerous situation, as they have turned southern Lebanon into a battlefield, storing weapons in civilian homes and using them to attack Israeli communities.

The international community must condemn Hezbollah’s blatant violation of international law, which endangers civilians on both sides of the border. The IDF continues to make every effort to avoid harming civilians while targeting Hezbollah militants and their weapons.

Israel faces threats on all fronts. The IDF must continue its operations to dismantle Hamas’s capabilities in Gaza, ensure the release of hostages held by Hamas, and secure the safety of all Israeli citizens in the north and south.

IDF: “Let me be clear: Hezbollah is responsible for this situation. This is Hezbollah’s plan – to turn southern Lebanon into a battlefield for its attacks on Israel. We cannot accept a terrorist group storing weapons inside people’s homes, and using them to fire at other civilian communities.”

Sep 23, 2024, 12:36 PM  INN – The IDF on Monday carried out two waves of strikes in southern Lebanon, hours after striking over 150 terror targets. According to the IDF, since Monday morning, Israel has hit over 300 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.

Prior to the start of the attacks, IDF Arabic spokesman Avichay Adraee warned Lebanese civilians: “The strikes will begin soon. Immediately evacuate the homes in which weapons are hidden. Hezbollah is lying to you and sacrificing you. The organization is saying that you are its members and that you are important to it, but it seems that their missiles and UAVs are more important to it.”

Reuters reported that Israel took control of a number of Lebanese radio stations, through which it is sending warnings to Lebanese civilians.

According to reports, Lebanon’s Culture and Public Diplomacy ministers have been instructed to leave their offices, and the country’s Health Ministry has demanded that hospitals reschedule non-urgent operations in order to allow treatment for those wounded in the strikes.

Lebanon’s Health Ministry has reported 100 dead and over 400 injured in the Israeli strikes.

Early on Monday afternoon, multiple barrages of missiles were launched from Lebanon towards Israeli territory, activating sirens in wide swaths of northern Israel.

Several interceptions were reported over Tzfat (Safed). Reports in Kahal said that a missile had fallen in the area, though it could potentially have been falling shrapnel from an interceptor. A direct strike was reported on a home in Givat Avni; no one was injured.

“Following the sirens that sounded at 12:24 in the areas of Ami’ad and Safed, approximately 25 projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory,” the IDF reported. “The IDF Aerial Defense Array successfully intercepted a number of projectiles. Numerous falls were identified in open areas and adjacent to the area of Ami’ad.”

“Following the sirens that sounded at 12:43 in the Lower Galilee area, approximately 10 projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory. Numerous falls were identified.

“Following the sirens that sounded at 12:19 in the area of Elkosh, the details are under review.”

Several blazes ignited near Ami’ad, and were extinguished by firefighting teams.

Magen David Adom (MDA) reported: “Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics are providing initial medical treatment to a 50-year-old man who suffered light injuries following the missile barrage on northern Israel. The teams are evacuating the victim to a local hospital, fully conscious and with shrapnel injuries to his limbs.”

Later reports raised the number of injured to five, among them three who had suffered shock.

MDA EMT Fadi Ottman said: “We were called to a driver who had stopped on the side of the road during the sirens and who was injured by shrapnel in his lower limbs. He was fully conscious. We provided him with medical treatment and evacuated him via ambulance to the hospital, with very light injuries.”

Report: Israel To Imminently Launch Large-Scale Attack Deep In Lebanon

The IDF is set to launch a “large-scale attack” on Lebanon in the coming hours, Ynet reported on Monday afternoon following the IDF’s preemptive strikes against Hezbollah on Monday morning.

According to a security source quoted by the report, Hezbollah will respond, possibly by firing rockets at central Israel.

“Hezbollah will surely respond by firing in large quantities on northern Israel and perhaps also on selected targets in Tel Aviv,” he said.

The sourced added: “I don’t think it’s too early to now call these events the ‘Third Lebanon War.’”

September 21, 2024 – ISRAEL will turn southern Lebanon into a “death zone” with nothing left standing, an ex-spy has warned.

Tel Aviv appears to be preparing to invade its northern neighbour as it shifts its focus north from Gaza with a new “phase” and war goal.

Tensions have skyrocketed after Israel blitzed the country with exploding pagers and walkie-talkies that left at least 37 dead and 3,600 wounded.

The Wall Street Journal reported US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has told senior Pentagon officials he feared Israel could soon invade.

A Lebanon invasion to fight Hezbollah has wide support in Israel, with one poll finding it had 71 per cent of the country’s backing.

Former Mossad spy Avner Avraham said his country should create a 10km “death zone” inside Lebanon by invading it and forcibly displacing locals.

⚠️ Israeli Army Radio has confirmed that preparations are underway for an immediate escalation, citing unnamed sources. The political leadership in Israel has decided to continue its significant strikes on Hezbollah, despite knowing this could escalate into a full-scale war.

⚠️ According to Yedioth Ahronoth, a security source warns that Hezbollah may launch an attack within the next 24 hours, leading to an intense period of tension.
