Ayelet Shaked refused entry to Australia Hezki Baruch
Former Israeli Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked refused visa to enter Australia, over her opposition to a Palestinian state. ‘An antisemitic decision and a black day for Australian democracy.’
Nov 21, 2024, 3:12 PM (GMT+2) Israel National News – Australia’s Labor government on Thursday refused former Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked an entry visa.
The reason given for the refusal is Shaked’s opposition to the creation of a Palestinian state. In a response to her request for a visa, Shaked was informed that her entry may hurt the feelings of a different group in the country.
Shaked had been scheduled to attend an AIJAC conference between Israel and Australia.
“The decision by Australia’s government to prevent my entry into its territory for the purpose of participating in a strategic dialogue between the countries is clear testimony to its hypocrisy and its hostile attitude towards Israel. [It is] a government which claims to be democratic but acts to silence voices which oppose its extremist pro-Palestinian agenda,” she said.
Shaked added, “Refusing entry to me, a former minister in the Israeli government, only because of my opposition to the creation of a Palestinian terror state, reveals the true face of the current Australian government: [It is] a government which chose to stand alongside Israel’s enemies and harm the historic relationship between the countries.
“This is an antisemitic decision and a black day for Australian democracy,” she concluded.
“The issue here is not that I didn’t get a visa,” Shaked wrote on X. “The issue here is that the current Australian government has become anti-Semitic.”

UNRWA chief told Hamas and Islamic Jihad: “We are united and no one can separate us”
November 21, 2024 UN Watch – As part of several documents released today from a larger trove exposing UNRWA’s widespread complicity with terrorists, UN Watch has revealed that UNRWA’s previous head Pierre Krahenbuhl met repeatedly with leaders of Palestinian terrorist organizations, including one meeting where he called for their covert partnership and unity. The practice has continued under UNRWA’s current commissioner Philippe Lazzarini.
At a gathering in Beirut in February 2017, Krahenbuhl met with the Hamas chief of foreign relations, Ali Baraka, who was recently indicted by the U.S. government for “heinous crimes.” Baraka managed Hamas ties with Tehran and other regimes including Syria and Iraq. Days after the Hamas massacre of October 7th, Baraka claimed that the group had been planning the attack for two years, and he revealed the existence since 2021 of a Palestinian Joint Operations Room among the various factions. “We made them think that Hamas was busy with governing Gaza, and that it wanted to focus on the 2.5 million Palestinians there, and has abandoned the resistance altogether. All the while, under the table, Hamas was preparing for this big attack,” said Baraka.
The head of UNRWA at the same gathering also met with Abu Imad al-Rifai, the leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Lebanon, who boasted about sending a wave of suicide bombers to Baghdad in 2003 to kill American and British troops.
At the meeting, UNRWA’s Krahenbuhl emphasized the “spirit of partnership” between the terrorist groups and UNRWA. He invited them to privately challenge any UNRWA decision, which he could then change or “tear up,” while also urging that their “discussions not be made public.”
If their meetings were to be publicized, said Krahenbuhl, who now heads the International Red Cross, that “could challenge our credibility” — and “lead to a loss of trust between donor countries and UNRWA, which might result in reduced or even terminated funding.”

Trump spokesman labels ruling as a ‘decisive win’ for president-elect
November 22, 2024 10:47am EST Fox News – Judge Juan Merchan on Friday granted President-elect Donald Trump’s request to file a motion to dismiss the charges in New York v. Trump and removed the sentencing date for the president-elect from the schedule.
Merchan said Trump attorneys have until Dec. 2 to file their motion for dismissal. Merchan said Bragg has until Dec. 9 to respond.
Merchan also confirmed the stay in sentencing for Trump, which was requested by both Trump’s and Bragg’s attorneys. The sentencing was scheduled for Nov. 26, but on Friday, Merchan said that date “is adjourned.”
Trump spokesman and incoming White House communications director Steven Cheung reacted to Merchan’s ruling Friday, telling Fox News Digital it is a “decisive win” for the president.
“In a decisive win for President Trump, the hoax Manhattan Case is now fully stayed and sentencing is adjourned,” Cheung told Fox News Digital. “President Trump won a landslide victory as the American People have issued a mandate to return him to office and dispose of all remnants of the Witch Hunt cases.”
Cheung added, “All of the sham lawfare attacks against President Trump are now destroyed and we are focused on Making America Great Again.”
In a letter to Merchan on Wednesday, Trump defense attorney and now-nominee for Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche demanded the case against Trump be tossed.
“On November 5, 2024, the Nation’s People issued a mandate that supersedes the political motivations of DANY’s ‘People,’” Blanche wrote. “This case must be immediately dismissed.”
Blanche said that “immediate dismissal of this case is mandated by the federal Constitution, the Presidential Transition Act of 1963, and the interests of justice, in order to facilitate the orderly transition of Executive power following President Trump’s overwhelming victory in the 2024 Presidential Election.”
