Minister reveals why France agreed to change view on Netanyahu arrest warrant   By Ariel Kahana

Cabinet official tells Israel Hayom that Israel would not have agreed to include France in the enforcement mechanism without Paris’ concession regarding the ICC warrant compliance.

11-27-2024 11:40 – France has withdrawn its commitment to enforce the International Criminal Court arrest warrant against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in exchange for securing its role in the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire agreement, a Diplomatic-Security Cabinet minister has revealed to Israel Hayom.

“Without receiving this concession from the French, we would not have included them in the agreement,” the minister said.

The development has prompted speculation about whether Netanyahu’s openness to the ceasefire initiative is linked to broader arrangements with Western powers regarding their enforcement of ICC warrants.

According to senior Israeli officials, a similar consideration might have been at play in the case of Australia as well. While Canberra had initially pledged to enforce the warrant, it subsequently revised its position, indicating that such enforcement would not be mandatory.

Revealed: How US-Israel deal helped Netanyahu sign off on ceasefire   By  Danny Zaken

The agreement includes both enhancement modules that substantially improve capabilities and weapons systems that Washington had previously declined to transfer. Security and diplomatic officials in Jerusalem and Washington confirm that a wide range of critical military supplies will now be made available.

11-27-2024 18:06  Israel Hayom – Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his security cabinet’s decision to approve the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon was heavily influenced by Washington’s commitment to end its unofficial restrictions on weapons and military equipment – limitations that had impacted military operations and resulted in IDF personnel casualties.

In addition to lifting these unofficial restrictions, Israel Hayom has learned exclusively that the United States will provide Israel with previously restricted weapons components. The agreement encompasses both enhancement modules that substantially improve existing weapons’ capabilities and complete weapons systems that Washington had previously declined to transfer. This development marks a significant upgrade in strike capabilities against targets that had previously proven resistant to Israeli military operations.

Security and diplomatic officials in Jerusalem and Washington confirm that a wide range of critical military supplies will now be made available, including multiple categories of munitions, artillery and tank shells, precision-guided weapons, essential replacement parts, and several dozen Caterpillar D9 armored bulldozers.

These bulldozers play a crucial role in combat operations, especially in clearing operational routes and neutralizing booby-trapped structures. A significant number of these vehicles sustained damage during operations in the Gaza Strip from anti-tank missiles and explosive devices, with Hamas forces specifically targeting them due to their tactical significance. Several were destroyed completely, while others required extensive repairs and replacement components.

Intelligence reports indicate that multiple incidents in October involved explosions from underground devices striking tanks and armored vehicles, resulting in casualties among the crews. Senior officials from both countries indicate that ending the unofficial restrictions and agreeing to provide previously withheld weapons systems represents a marked departure from the Biden administration’s earlier position. This shift primarily reflects a change in State Department strategy, which had previously sought to influence Israel’s military operations, particularly regarding advances into Rafah and Khan Younis.

Analysts attribute this policy adjustment to the anticipated leadership transition following President Donald Trump’s re-election victory, as Trump and his advisers had consistently criticized the unofficial restrictions on military support to Israel during the conflict.

Trump’s team maintains close communication regarding US-Israel dialogue across military and diplomatic channels. They received comprehensive briefings on the weapons transfer policy changes and ceasefire terms. While welcoming the restoration of calm, they have expressed strong opposition to what they characterize as the Democratic administration’s pressure tactics on Israel.

Hezbollah lost 70% of its UAVs, and its leaders were eliminated   Yoni Kempinski

IDF eliminates chain of command of Hezbollah’s Aerial Unit (127), taking out its Operations Officer, who was responsible for launching UAVs and cruise missiles toward Israel.

Nov 27, 2024, 1:30 PM (GMT+2)  Israel National News – The IDF on Wednesday afternoon announced the elimination of the Operation Officer in Hezbollah’s Aerial Unit.

The elimination was part of a Tuesday night precise strike in Beirut. In it, the IDF eliminated the unit’s Operations Officer Jafar Ali Samaha.

Samaha was responsible for directing and commanding many aerial terror operations targeting the Israeli home front. He was also responsible for coordination between Hezbollah’s various units. He served as the deputy commander of Unit 127 and a senior officer in it for over ten years.

Nearly two months ago, on September 26th, 2024, the IDF eliminated the commander of the Aerial Unit, Muhammad Hussein Sarour (“Abu Saleh”), in Beirut. Approximately one month later, the IDF targeted and eliminated Khadr Al-Abed Bahja, the officer responsible for the unit’s Northern Litani sector.

In recent years, the Hezbollah terrorist organization has established several military assets for its Aerial Unit (127) across Lebanon. These assets were used to manufacture and store hundreds of UAVs and cruise missiles of various types intended to be used in attacks on Israel and were systematically concealed within civilian villages and buildings.

The unit, established under Iranian leadership, received UAVs, cruise missiles, and production components from Iran, alongside training for its operatives. The Aerial Unit is responsible for numerous aerial terror attacks using UAVs that targeted Israel’s home front.

Since the beginning of the war, and specifically as part of Operation Northern Arrows, the IAF, guided by the Intelligence Directorate and the IAF, conducted a comprehensive effort to dismantle the Aerial Unit’s terror infrastructure. As part of these operations, the Air Force conducted strikes on numerous assets of the unit, including over 150 UAV launch positions, approximately 20 weapons storage facilities containing UAVs and cruise missiles, approximately 30 command centers used by the unit and approximately four manufacturing workshops for UAVs and cruise missiles.

Alongside the efforts to dismantle the unit’s personnel, commanders and capabilities, the IDF addressed the UAV threat since the outbreak of the war, with the goal of identifying and neutralizing aerial threats against Israel. In recent months, hundreds of explosive UAVs that Hezbollah launched towards Israel were intercepted. The Israeli Air Force continues to enhance its defensive systems to ensure the safety of Israel’s citizens.

It was thanks to these strikes that the IAF succeeded in destroying 70% of the unit’s stockpile of UAVs and approximately 30 cruise missiles meant to attack citizens of the State of Israel, the IDF added.

Al-Jabari directed and carried out terror attacks against IDF troops in the Gaza Strip and stored a large amount of weapons in the room in which he operated. In August, the IDF struck the structure, used as an active shelter, and elimibated over 30 Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists.

Prior to the strike, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including the use of precise munitions, aerial surveillance and additional intelligence.

This is another example of the Islamic Jihad’s systematic exploitation of civilian infrastructure and the civilian population as a human shield for its terrorist activities.

The IDF will continue to operate against terrorists who embed themselves in schools and other civilian infrastructure as a shelter.

Ben-Gvir, Heads Of Northern Yishuvim Slam Ceasefire Reports: “Are We Lab Mice?”

November 25, 2024  Yeshiva World News National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir on Monday said that a Lebanon ceasefire is a “big mistake.”

Ben-Gvir’s statements came after reports on Sunday that Israel agreed to a US-brokered ceasefire with Hezbollah, pending final approval. Subsequent reports on Monday afternoon said that Israel and Lebanon agreed to a ceasefire and an announcement will be made after Israel’s security cabinet approves the deal on Tuesday.

“The agreement with Lebanon is a big mistake,” Ben-Gvir stated. “It’s a historic missed opportunity to eliminate Hezbollah. I understand all the constraints and justifications but it still is a serious mistake. We have to listen to the commanders fighting on the battlefront, listen to the heads of the local authorities. Davka now, when Hezbollah is beaten and yearns for a ceasefire, we cannot stop.”

“As I warned in the past in Gaza, I warn now: Mr. Prime Minister – it’s still not too late to stop this agreement! We must continue until complete victory!”

Ben-Gvir’s opposition to the deal was echoed by other coalition members and even opposition leader Benny Gantz, who said on Monday that Israel should only agree to a ceasefire if it permits the IDF to take military action in case of violations, adding that Israel can’t trust the UNIFIL or European forces on the Lebanese army.

It is common knowledge that Hezbollah has long infiltrated the Lebanese army.

However, Israeli sources claim that Israel already received a guarantee from the US for freedom of action in the case of violations of the deal.

Moshe Davidovich, the head of the Mateh Yehuda Regional Council, slammed reports of a deal, saying on Monday to 103FM: “An abomination, a disgrace, and reckless conduct – as if we are experimental lab mice. An absurd agreement that will cause hundreds of young families to leave the Galil. I am ashamed and embarrassed that we are being treated this way.”

“Who are they signing a deal with? [A reference to the fact that the Lebanese authorities can’t or won’t control Hezbollah]. Residents won’t return because they don’t have the financial means to stay outside their homes.”

He emphasized: “I’m not a war person and I don’t want to conquer Lebanon. They found things three days ago that caused me to become defensive. I propose a very simple thing: to safely return the residents of the north to their homes and to push Hezbollah back 10 kilometers. We are still waiting and we still don’t understand how we can return home.”

Channel 14 News reported earlier on Monday that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has revealed his strategy regarding a ceasefire in recent closed discussions.

Netanyahu said: “There’s a risk that the Biden administration will carry out unilateral actions against Israel similar to the end of the Obama period. Therefore, the right thing to do now is to go for a deal with Lebanon subject to a US guarantee that we can respond to any violation.”

Netanyahu clarified: “The basic condition is that we will decide what constitutes a ‘violation.’ In the meantime, the reservists will rest, and we will replenish the missing arms.”

He also referred to another important aspect of a possible ceasefire: “In addition, there is a need to disconnect the arenas. The moment we sign a ‘ceasefire’ with Hezbollah, despite the fact that they constantly link it to a similar ‘ceasefire’ in Gaza – we defeated them and unraveled the ties between them. This way, Gaza will remain isolated and the pressure to reach a hostage deal will increase.”

Dershowitz Assembles Legal ‘Dream Team’ to Defend Israeli Leaders Against ICC Charges

November 25, 2024  Jewish Breaking News – Harvard law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz is gathering a “dream team” to defend Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant from war crimes charges that will be brought against them at the International Criminal Court (ICC), he wrote Sunday in The Wall Street Journal.

The case is extremely important, he noted, because “It will also be tried in the court of public opinion, both in the U.S. and throughout the world.”

He is therefore “assembling a team of world class lawyers from around the globe to help defend Israeli leaders against the false charges.”

He named over a dozen prominent attorneys who have already agreed to join him.

These included former U.S. attorneys-general Michael Mukasey and William Barr, former FBI Director Louis Freeh, former Canadian minister of justice and attorney general Irwin Cotler, and Nadine Strossen, the former president of the American Civil Liberties Union.

The ICC on Thursday issued arrest warrants for the two Israeli leaders and a Hamas terrorist, Muhammed Deif, who was assassinated by the IDF months ago but the court is ostensibly not convinced of his death.

By doing so, Dershowitz argued, “the court is seeking to equate the terrorism of Hamas, which murdered, raped and kidnapped approximately 1,450 Israelis, mostly civilians, with the self-defense efforts of Israel to prevent a promised recurrence of Oct. 7.”

He accused the court of creating a “double standard” for Israel’s prosecution of its war of self-defense against the terrorists, when “the validity, integrity, legitimacy and acceptability of international law and the laws of war depend on the application of a single standard.”

By issuing “these illegal and unjustified warrants,” he wrote, the ICC has “disgraced and destroyed” the rule of international law and “lost its credibility.”

Dershowitz applauded the announcements by Congressional leaders that they would sanction ICC personnel if they continue with their anti-Israel efforts.

The arguments he said the team would use are familiar ones that Israel and its allies have already raised in attempts to head off legal action against the Jewish state by both the ICC and the International Court of Justice, whose mandate is to settle legal disputes on a state level and does not deal with individuals.

These include complementarity, which means that if a country has a judicial system as Israel does, that readily and robustly investigates even political leaders, the ICC cannot try the case itself.

They will also delve into hard statistics that have seemingly been ignored in the court’s zeal to prosecute.

Dershowitz wrote of the fact that the IDF’s kill ratio between combatants and noncombatants in Gaza is “lower than in any comparable war anywhere in the world.”

This makes a mockery of the charge that Israel is attempting to commit genocide “or any other war crime.”

The team will also present as an argument the enormous amount of humanitarian aid – 700,000 tons of food and medicine, according to government sources – that Israel has allowed into Gaza over the last year.

The professor emeritus at Harvard Law School ended by inviting other like-minded legal eagles to “join in this endeavor.”

Ben Gvir slams ceasefire plan with Lebanon as ‘historic missed opportunity’

The Minister for National Security attacked the advanced talks • ‘I understand the rationale – but this is a serious mistake’

November 25, 2024 at 05:44 AM  i24NEWS – National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir voiced his opposition on Monday to a potential ceasefire deal with Lebanon, brokered by the US.

The arrival of the US special envoy to the Middle East, Amos Hochstein, last week moved the negotiations between Israel and Lebanon to the next stage, with CNN  reporting that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued preliminary approval for the US-backed proposal. “This will be a serious mistake.”

“The agreement with Lebanon is a big mistake,” he said, calling it a “historical missed opportunity to defang Hezbollah. I understand all the constraints and rationale, but it’s still a serious mistake. We need to listen to the commanders on the ground, listen to the heads of authorities. Especially now, when Hezbollah is struck and yearning for a ceasefire, we must not stop. As I warned in the past about Gaza, I warn now: Prime Minister – it’s not too late to stop this agreement! We must continue until we secure a complete victory!”

i24NEWS’ Hebrew channel reported on Sunday night that some coalition members are actively working to scuttle any arrangement with Lebanon.

Netanyahu vows: ‘None of Rabbi Zvi Kogan’s murderers will get away’

PM at Cabinet meeting expresses ‘deep outrage – on behalf of myself, all members of the Government, all citizens of Israel and the entire Jewish people – over the abduction and murder of Zvi Kogan.’

Nov 24, 2024, 2:37 PM (GMT+2)   Israel National News – Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented on the murder of Rabbi Zvi Kogan, the Chabad emissary who was abducted in the UAE on Thursday and whose body was found this morning, at the start of the weekly Cabinet meeting today.

“At the start of my remarks, I would like to express deep outrage – on behalf of myself, all members of the Government, all citizens of Israel and the entire Jewish people – over the abduction and murder of Zvi Kogan, may G-d avenge him,” Netanyahu began.

He noted that “this murder was carried out in the UAE. The murder of an Israeli citizen and a Chabad emissary, is an abhorrent antisemitic terrorist attack.”

“On your behalf, I also send heartfelt condolences to the Kogan family. The State of Israel will use all means, and will deal with these murderers, and those who dispatched them, to the fullest extent of the law. None of them will get away,” he promised.

“I greatly appreciate the cooperation of the UAE in investigating the murder. We will strengthen the ties between us in the face of attempts by the axis of evil to harm the relationship of peace between us. We will strengthen them and we will work to expand regional stability,” Netanyahu said.

Turning to the plight of the hostages who remain in Hamas captivity in Gaza, the Prime Minister said, “Yesterday, the Hamas terrorist organization released documentation that purportedly shows the body of one our female hostages. We are checking the information which, at this stage, cannot be verified. We are in contact with the family and an appropriate statement has been issued to all the families. Our hearts are with them.”

“I just spoke with the mother. It is difficult to describe the nightmare she has been enduring. We embrace her; we embrace the family. We are committed to doing everything to bring back all of the hostages, both the living and the deceased, of course. We are constantly working toward this sacred goal, including both yesterday and today. We are trying to exhaust every opportunity, every crack, every opening, and I will not go into details,” he said.

“I said last week as I visited our forces in Gaza, and I reiterate today: Whoever dares to harm the lives of our hostages – will pay the price,” Netanyahu vowed. “I also said and I repeat: Whoever brings a hostage alive out of Gaza will receive $5 million; others who bring valuable information will also be compensated.”

“I appeal to the residents of Gaza: You can choose life and ensure your future and that of your families, or you can cling to death and destruction. The choice is yours; choose life,” Netanyahu concluded.

New details: This is the terror cell responsible for murdering Rabbi Zvi Kogan

In recent years, Iran has established a terrorist branch based on terrorists from Uzbekistan. This cell is believed to have murdered the Chabad emissary in Dubai.

Nov 24, 2024, 11:43 PM (GMT+2)  Israel National News – New details about the murder of Rabbi Zvi Kogan in the United Arab Emirates: The intelligence blog Intelli Times says that Iran has established a terrorist affiliate in recent years that relies on Uzbek activists of Shiite-Iranian origin, which may be responsible for the murder, Kan 11 News reported on Sunday.

According to the report, the terrorist affiliate was run by a terrorist from Tajikistan by the name Muhammad Ali Burhanov, who ran Unit 400 of the Iranian Quds Force, a terrorist network that operated on the soil of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The unit’s goal was to harm Jewish and Israeli targets. Such attempts have been documented in recent months.

Burhanov studied at a campus in Tehran that is also known for recruiting activists from around the world for the benefit of Iranian intelligence agencies. The affiliate he ran also included activists from the Hezbollah Brigades, the main Iranian-backed militia in Iraq.

Earlier on Sunday, the Ministry of Interior of the United Arab Emirates announced that the Emirati authorities have arrested three individuals suspected of murdering Rabbi Kogan.

The Ministry explained that upon receiving a missing person report from the victim’s family, a specialized search and investigation team was promptly assembled. This led to the discovery of the victim’s body, the identification and arrest of the perpetrators, and the initiation of the necessary legal procedures. Full details of the incident will be disclosed upon the conclusion of the investigations.

Prime Minister Netanyahu reveals in closed discussions the strategy vis-a-vis Lebanon

November 24, 2024  𝗜𝗦𝗥𝗔𝗘𝗟 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 – The prime minister warned in discussions in recent days: “There is a ‘danger’ in the time left for the Biden administration to take unilateral American steps similar to the end of the Obama era. Therefore, the right thing right now is to go to a settlement with Lebanon subject to an American commitment that we will respond to any violation.”

The fundamental condition in the matter is that we decide what is considered a “violation”. During this time the reservists will rest and fill the missing armaments.

In addition, there is an interest in disconnecting the arenas. As soon as we signed a “ceasefire” against Hezbollah, even though they always tied it to a similar truce against Gaza – we subdued them and severed ties between them. That way they will remain isolated and the pressure on them to go to the kidnap deal will increase.”

Rav Kogan’s Murder: “Reminder Of The Inhumanity Of Jews’ Enemies”
November 24, 2024
5:11 am  Yeshiva World News – Political and security leaders in Israel on Sunday responded to the abduction and murder of Chabad Rav in the UAE, HaRav Tzvi Kogan, H’yd by Iranian terror agents.

“I mourn with sorrow and outrage the murder of Rabbi Zvi Kogan,” President Isaac Herzog stated. “This vile antisemitic attack is a reminder of the inhumanity of the enemies of the Jewish people. It will not deter us from continuing to grow flourishing communities in the UAE or anywhere – especially with the help of the dedicated commitment and work of the Chabad emissaries all over the world.”

Dudi Rubinstein, a resident of the UAE and a friend of Rav Kogan, z’l, spoke to Kan News about Rav Kogan’s work and chasadim.

“He never dreamed that he was being followed,” Rubinstein said. “The Chabadnikim has lowered their public profile, especially at large gatherings. They had canceled large Friday night gatherings with many Israelis.”

“He came to help [HaRav Duchman and I connected with him. He settled there, connected with everyone, and got married two years ago. He was the one that people turned to, the one who organized things.”

“He was a precious person, full of life and always available. A man with vision and ambition who was always ready to help, day and night.”

Defense Minister Israel Katz said that the murder was a “cowardly and despicable antisemitic terror crime. The State of Israel will not rest  until those responsible for this heinous act pay for their crimes.”
