A Bedouin driver tried to ram IDF soldiers outside of an army training area in southern Israel early Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred in the Arad area before dawn Wednesday, when a suspicious car approached an army checkpoint outside of a military training area.
Soldiers stationed at the checkpoint ordered the driver to stop the car, but the driver instead accelerated, and attempted to ram the soldiers.
The commander of the soldiers at the checkpoint fired shots in the air and at the vehicle’s tires, prompting the driver to abort the ramming attempt.

6. ‘Shema Yisrael’ pendants discovered in Sobibor excavations
The pendants were uncovered in areas where victims were forced to undress before being herded into the gas chambers and near one of the mass graves.
Over the past decade, archaeological excavations in the Sobibor extermination camp have uncovered three pendants bearing depictions of Moses and the tablets of the Law opposite the Hebrew prayer “Shema Yisrael,” (“Hear O Israel”).
The excavations were directed by Wojciech Mazurek from Poland, Yoram Haimi from the Israel Antiquities Authority, and Ivar Schute from Holland, who were assisted by local residents.
The metal pendants are different from one another and they were inscribed by hand. Over the past year, researchers have identified their origin in Eastern Europe: from Lviv in Ukraine, and from Poland and Czechoslovakia.
According to archaeologist Yoram Haimi of the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA), “Little is known about the stories behind the pendants, which are heartbreaking. It has been possible to identify a kind of tradition or fashion among the Jewish communities of Eastern Europe with pendants that were inscribed with ‘Shema Yisrael’ on one side and a depiction of Moses and the tablets of the Law on the opposite side.”

The minutes of that infamous historical meeting of fifteen prominent Nazi leaders, including Adolf Hitler and Heinrich Himmler, show that the meeting was about implementing the “Final Resolution” and not about finding a solution.
By “Final Resolution,” the Nazis at Wannsee meant the mass murder of European Jews.
The decision to kill as many Jews as possible was made earlier after attempts by Hitler’s Nazi regime to more or less force European Jews to emigrate had largely failed.
These efforts were regulated by law, and that legislation contained all kinds of discriminatory measures against Jews.
The Nuremberg Laws of 1935, for example, stipulated that only “Aryans” could retain German citizenship.

Comparisons with myocarditis rates following infection now irrelevant as vaccination no longer prevents infection.
A recent study published on January 25, 2022, on JAMA Network, has shown that the risk of myocarditis following mRNA COVID vaccination is around 133 times greater than the background risk in the population.
The study, conducted by researchers from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as well as from several U.S. universities and hospitals, examined the effects of vaccination with products manufactured by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna. The study’s authors used data obtained from the CDC’s VAERS reporting system which were cross-checked to ensure they complied with CDC’s definition of myocarditis; they also noted that given the passive nature of the VAERS system, the number of reported incidents is likely to be an underestimate of the extent of the phenomenon.
1626 cases of myocarditis were studied, and the results showed that the Pfizer-BioNTech product was most associated with higher risk, with 105.9 cases per million doses after the second vaccine shot in the 16 to 17 age group for males, and 70.7 cases per million doses after the second shot in the 12 to 15 age group for males. The 18 to 24 male age group also saw significantly higher rates of myocarditis for both Pfizer’s and Moderna’s products (52.4 and 56.3 cases per million respectively).

China became Israel’s largest source of imports in 2021 with $10.7 billion, overcoming the previous top spot held by the United States, revealed Israel’s National Bureau of Statistics on Thursday.
In 2020, imports from the United States had totaled a little more than $8 billion, while China’s imports totaled nearly $7.7 billion.
Imports from the United States in 2021 were nearly $8.3 billion.
Following the United States was Switzerland with nearly $6.6 billion and Germany following close behind.
The United States, however, retained its spot as the top destination for Israeli exports in 2021 with $16.2 billion.
