I am asking you to contact 8 elected officials immediately — the President and Vice President; your two U.S. Senators and 1 U.S. Representative; and your Governor, state House/Assembly member, and state Senator. Please stick to your own state — it does no one any good to contact elected official in other states where you are not a constituent.
My logic is as follows: The FDA and CDC report to the executive branch. Congress provides oversight and controls their budget. And states can and should follow Florida’s lead by nullifying the FDA & CDC and making their own decisions about public health. So that’s who we are targeting.
Calls are best, paper letters are also great (but they need to go out immediately), emails are good (even if you have to use their form), and if we can find any fax numbers let’s surprise them by using those too!
