Remdesivir is a highly toxic drug that medical officials advocate in the fight against Covid. But what is it, and why do the same officials ferociously defend it when there are known side effects that are deadly? The FDA approved it under the name Veklury for IVs in non-hospitalized outpatient treatment on January 27, 2022. They also terminated approval of two monoclonal antibody drugs, saying they “didn’t work” for the Omicron variant. Those two drugs had known life-extending properties for Covid patients. Let’s have a look at the controversy and why there may be more to this than meets the eye.
Failed Drug
Remdesivir was developed in 2009 by Gilead Sciences to treat hepatitis C and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), but it didn’t work against those diseases. So they “repurposed” it for Ebola and Marburg viruses in 2014. It wasn’t effective in stopping the replication of those viruses either. Now it has once again been “repurposed” for Covid. But the narrative of the NIH is that it does stop the replication of the SARS-Cov-2 virus. It is not recommended for treating Covid patients, but that hasn’t stopped the ‘powers that be.’

Hypersensitivity reactions, including infusion-related and anaphylactic reactions, have been observed during and following administration of VEKLURY; most occurred within one hour. He added that “several dozen Palestinians entered a mosque in the compound, with some continuing to throw stones and fireworks toward ISF. The Norwegian diplomat substantiated Israel’s account of the violence by stressing that Israeli forces only entered the Al Aqsa Mosque after the rioting Palestinians had “barricaded” themselves inside.

The Food and Drug Administration on Monday granted its full approval of the COVID-19 antiviral treatment Veklury (remdesivir) for infants and young children. The treatment was previously under emergency use authorization for children.
According to the news release, FDA would expand the treatment of Remdesivir to include pediatric patients 28 days of age and older weighing at least 3 kilograms (about 7 pounds) with positive results of direct Covid-19 viral testing, and are either hospitalized or at high-risk of severe illness.

This action makes Veklury the first approved COVID-19 treatment for children less than 12 years of age. As a result of today’s approval action, the agency also revoked the emergency use authorization for Veklury that previously covered this pediatric population.

Twitter accepted billionaire Elon Musk’s $44 billion buyout offer, the company announced on Monday.
Musk will pay $54.20 a share for Twitter. That represents a 38 percent premium to the stock’s closing price the day before Musk disclosed he had purchased a nine percent stake in the company. Perhaps even more importantly, it is a 53 percent premium to where the shares were trading at the end of February, before Musk started building his stake.
When the transaction is closed, probably sometime later this year, Twitter will become a privately held company, wholly owned by Musk. Musk walks away with full control of the social media company, and shareholders walk away with $54.20 per share.
The Twitter board’s decision to accept Musk’s $54.20 offer came as a surprise to many. Initially, the board rebuffed Musk, adopting a poison pill that would have made a hostile takeover impossible. Some Wall Street analysts said the offer was too low despite the hefty premium, in part because shares had traded as high as $73 back in August.
There were also lots of doubts about whether Musk could finance his offer. He is purportedly the world’s wealthiest man, with a net worth somewhere around $300 billion. Much of that, however, is not liquid. Most of his wealth consists of shares of Tesla and stakes in his other companies. Selling tens of billions of Tesla stock to buy Twitter might alienate or anger the auto company’s investors.

I had a couple of thoughts that are deeper than the superficial horror of it all.
First, I wonder how many of these people have thought to scream to God in this darkest of times. It’s difficult to expect this of them, being that the state religion of China is the Communist government, and believing in an even higher authority is extremely dangerous. I’m not here to judge the victims. But if 23 million people cried out to God, instead of just to the dark emptiness… I don’t know what He would do, but it would be powerful.
Another thought: If you ever wondered why so many Jews went like lambs to the slaughter, and it upset you that they didn’t revolt against their tormentors, maybe now you can understand. Why don’t 23 million people storm the streets and overrun their tormentors? Yes, many will be lost in the process, but victory is guaranteed.
