Bloomington Homeless Coalition advocate Harry Collins said some of the people displaced from a former homeless encampment behind the At Home store on the west side had lived there for several years.

Monroe County has spent about $175,000 to clean up the encampment located just west of Bloomington where more than a dozen people had been living on overgrown county-owned land.

Collins said some people from the encampment had lived amid the trees and high brush for three years, maybe longer, undetected and not bothering anyone.

He said when a newer resident set up camp in an open space closer to the store, people started to complain about the camp and the people coming and going.

Joe Biden’s Department of Justice is suing Arizona to prevent a law requiring all voters to provide proof of citizenship to vote.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Arizona Republicans passed HB2492, introduced by State Rep. Jake Hoffman, which requires that voters show prove US Citizenship to register to vote in any election. This law also applies to Federal Only voters who are not required to show proof of citizenship when registering to vote. The bill was signed into law by the Governor in March.

The Biden administration has been quietly packing the nation’s immigration courts, ousting Trump-appointed judges and installing people deemed to be more friendly to the illegal immigrants whose cases they hear, in what one Justice Department official called an “unprecedented” injection of politics into the courts.

At least a half-dozen judges hired during the Trump years have been axed, including two this month in Arlington, Virginia.

They are part of a massive upheaval in the Executive Office of Immigration Review, which has seen four of its top officials pushed out of their jobs, including the director, who for the first time in the agency’s history was removed involuntarily.

“It’s an attempt to weaponize the courts along ideological lines,” said Matthew J. O’Brien, one of the two judges ousted from Arlington, Virginia. “It’s court packing on steroids. It’s court packing by deletion and then addition, because they’re getting rid of judges and they’re replacing them with people who meet their ideological framework.”

Biden and AG Garland’s actions led to a dozen DOJ representatives sending a letter to Garland.

A dozen Republican members of Congress sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland Tuesday demanding to know why Trump-appointed immigration judges are being dismissed from their posts, according to a copy of the letter obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation.

“Your department is unfairly terminating Trump-appointed immigration judges amid a historic border crisis and rapidly growing immigration case backlog,” according to the letter led by Republican Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs.

Cai Qi, speaking to Beijing Daily last Monday, said, “In the next five years, Beijing will unremittingly grasp the normalization of epidemic prevention and control.” State media also maintained that Beijing would maintain and improve its “strict management of the joint prevention and control coordination mechanism,” and the emergency response system, including those “isolation, management and control … as soon as [transmissions] appear.”

Children aged six months to four or five years can now also be inoculated against the coronavirus but the extent to which parents would be willing to vaccinate them remains unknown.

Israel’s Health Ministry approved Pfizer and Moderna COVID vaccinations for its youngest children, French news agency AFP cited an Israeli official as saying Tuesday.

The move follows the US Food and Drug Administration granting in its June emergency authorization for Moderna’s vaccine for children aged six months to five years, and Pfizer’s shots for those between six months and four years old.

A handful of other countries, including Argentina, Bahrain, Chile, China, Cuba, Hong Kong, and Venezuela were previously offering COVID shots for toddlers, but those did not include mRNA vaccines, regarded as the leading technology for the purpose.

On July 1, a letter by Israeli Health Ministry Director-General Professor Nachman Ash, seen by AFP, noted two hearings held by a ministry panel, in which Pfizer and Moderna data on the “mild” side effects and efficacy rates were presented.

All members of the expert panel agreed the vaccines were safe, with most of the panel “recommending to vaccinate at-risk babies and children, and to enable the vaccination of children who are not at risk,” Ash wrote.

In a statement, Chief Police Derek Cid announced that Officer Mark Lamberson died unexpectedly while on duty.

“Officer Mark Lamberson with the Saint Marys Police Department unexpectedly passed away while on duty on July 2, 2022,” Officer Cid said in a statement. “Officer Lamberson, a long-time valued member of the Saint Marys Police Department, began his service to our community in 2013.”

Officer Lamberson previously worked as a jail deputy for the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office.

Defining the Problem: HHS and The Administrative State

Many have come to believe that if Dr. Anthony Fauci either resigns or is removed from his position as Director of the The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), then the whole COVIDcrisis problem of chronic, strategic and tactical administrative overreach, dishonesty, mismanagement and ethical breaches within the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) would be resolved. Under this theory, Dr. Fauci is responsible for policies which were developed during the AIDScrisis and then flourished during the COVIDcrisis, and once the tumor is removed the patient will recover. I strongly disagree with this magical thinking; I believe that Dr. Fauci represents a symptom, not the cause of the current problems within HHS. Dr. Fauci, who joined the HHS bureaucracy as a way to avoid the Viet Nam draft and personifies many of the administrative problems that have accelerated since that period, would merely be replaced by another NIAID Director who might even become worse. The underlying problem is a perverted bureaucratic system of governance which is completely insulated from functional oversight by elected officials.

The “administrative state” is a general term used to describe the entrenched form of government that currently controls almost all levers of federal power in the United States, with the possible exception of the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS). The premature leaking of the SCOTUS majority decision concerning Roe v Wade to corporate press allies was essentially a preemptive strike by the administrative state in response to an action which threatened its power. The threat being mitigated was the constitutionalist logic upon which the legal argument was based, that being that authority to define rights not specifically defined in the US Constitution as being federally granted vests with individual states. Played out under the political cover of one of the most contentious political topics in modern US history, this was merely another skirmish demonstrating that the entrenched bureaucracy and its allies in the corporate media will continue to resist any constitutional or statutory restrictions on its power and privilege. Resistance to any form of control or oversight has been a consistent bureaucratic behavior throughout the history of the United States government, and this trend has accelerated since the end of the Second World War. More recently, this somewhat existential Constitutionalist threat to the Administrative State was validated in the case of West Virginia vs The Environmental Protection Agency, in which the court determined that when federal agencies issue regulations with sweeping economic and political consequences the regulations are presumptively invalid unless Congress has specifically authorized the action. With this decision, for the first time in modern history boundaries have started to be imposed on the expansion of the power of unelected senior administrators within the Federal bureaucracy.

NGO helping Russian and Ukrainian Jews resettle in Israel ordered by Moscow to halt all activities in Russia.

The Russian government has ordered the Jewish Agency, which helps resettle Jews from Russia and Ukraine in Israel, to immediately halt all of its operations in Russia, the Jerusalem Post reported on Tuesday.

The order was given via a letter from the Russian government to the NGO. The Jewish Agency is reportedly weighing its options, with support from Israel’s Foreign Ministry and Prime Minister’s Office.

In a statement to the Post, the Jewish Agency said that “as part of the work of the ….delegation in Russia, we are occasionally required to make certain adjustments, as required by authorities.”
