Italy’s right-wing coalition could score a landslide victory that would allow it to change the constitution, according to a leading pollster.
An alliance led by Giorgia Meloni’s far-right Brothers of Italy, which includes Matteo Salvini’s League and Silvio Berlusconi’s Forza Italia, has a wide lead in opinion polls ahead of the September 25 general election. If other forces are divided, this might lead close to a two-thirds majority in both houses of parliament, according to an analysis by Youtrend/CattaneoZanetto & Co.
This result would see the right score similarly to Hungarian leader Viktor Orban, who won a large majority in 2010. But reaching a two-third majority would be difficult for the coalition and the study’s main scenario is for a right-wing coalition falling short of the two-thirds threshold.

On May 14, I gave a talk in Reykjavik, at the invitation of my friend Gunnar Kjeld, who is affiliated with the health freedom community in Iceland—a small community in that small nation (pop. 370,000); and Gunnar is among those Icelanders intent on growing it, through public presentations such as mine.
Although most Icelanders—like the people in so many other countries—fell hard for the Covidian line, with all too many “vaccinated,” Iceland could henceforth become the heart of an international health freedom movement. Situated between North America and Europe, Iceland is not a NATO member, as the people have no interest in such violent entanglements, or in war per se: Iceland famously, and proudly, boasts no military (a unique national feature celebrated in its anthem). Uniquely unsusceptible to the allure of outright war propaganda, Icelanders are likelier than other peoples to think critically about belligerent propaganda drives of other kinds, if they are properly engaged, and told what their “free press” is hiding, which—as here, and everywhere throughout the West—is everything that matters.
I spoke on propaganda, to an audience that overflowed the room, and a number of whom asked excellent questions (except for one guy who, influenced by some hostile press anticipating the event, asked questions meant to show me up as a “conspiracy theorist”—and yet his question too was helpful). All in all, it was a very gratifying experience, certainly for me, and evidently for the audience; and I made several friends there whom I hope to see again.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) threatened to nuke New York City if America or Israel attacks Iranian nuclear facilities.
The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), which monitors, translates and analyzes what Arabs and other anti-Western forces, such as Iran, say to their own people rather than what they say to the West, translated a video on the IRGC’s official Telegram channel called “When Will Iran’s Nuclear Bombs Wake Up? We Can Make Israel’s Nightmare Come True.”
First the clip boasted of having facilities that “have brought Iran one step away from” being a nuclear threshold state.
Then, the calm-voiced narrator says over scenes of nuclear centrifuges, “in the blink of an eye,” the country can “transform [its] peaceful nuclear program into an atomic military program and make the nightmare of Israel and the West come true.”
This “nuclear breakthrough,” called “Project Emad,” would be centered in the Fordow nuclear facilities, “deep in the mountains in the center of Iran,” where the country could even withstand a nuclear attack, he continues. It would occur if Iran’s “very vulnerable” Natanz uranium enrichment facilities are attacked “by Israel or the West.”

The threat was issued in a video posted on two Telegram channels operated by the IRGC on Saturday.
The video was titled “When Will Iran’s Sleeping Nuclear Warheads Awaken” on the Bisimchi Media (Radioman Media) Telegram channel. On the Sepah-e Qods Telegram channel, the video was posted with the caption “Iran Prepared To Carry Out Top Secret EMAD Project: Building First Nuclear Warhead If Natanz Comes Under Attack.”
The Emad referred to by the IRGC is a ballistic missile said to have a range of 1,700 km (1,000 miles).

Russia’s economy, “can withstand thousands of sanctions,” continues the voiceover.

During a special weekend session Saturday, the Indiana state Senate passed a bill with a near-total ban on abortion.
The lawmakers voted 26-20 to pass the bill, known as SB-1, with no Democrat voting in favor, according to The Associated Press. With 10 Republicans joining Democrats in voting against, the bill passed the minimum threshold for sending it to the House, the AP reported.
The vote makes Indiana set to become one of the first states to impose fresh restrictions on abortion after the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade in late June, the AP reported.
According to the AP, should the bill be signed into law by Gov. Eric Holcomb, abortions would be illegal from the time of conception.
The only exceptions to the rule are cases of pregnancy through rape and incest or situations where the mother’s life is threatened, the news service reported.

According to a new study published in Nature, depression may not be caused by a serotonin imbalance in the brain as previously assumed.
For the past three decades, people have been bombarded with material that suggests depression is brought on by a “chemical imbalance” in the brain, namely an imbalance of serotonin. The evidence, however, does not support it, according to our most recent examination of the research (pdf below).
The pharmaceutical industry began heavily promoting the serotonin theory of depression in the 1990s in conjunction with its efforts to sell a new class of antidepressants known as selective serotonin-reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, despite the fact that it was initially put forth in the 1960s. The American Psychiatric Association, which continues to warn the public that “differences in certain chemicals in the brain may contribute to symptoms of depression,” supported the theory as well.
Numerous doctors have spread the word throughout the world in their private clinics and in the media. People believed what was told to them. And many people began using antidepressants because they thought there was a problem with their brain that needed to be fixed by an antidepressant. Antidepressant use increased considerably during this marketing campaign; today, one in six adults in England, for instance, receives a prescription for one.

Israel’s Ministry of Health commissioned a study analyzing reports of adverse events from Pfizer’s COVID vaccine to Israel’s vaccine database, known as the Nahlieli system, between December 2021 and May 2022. The research team was headed by Professor Matti Berkowitz, director of the Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology Unit at Assaf Harofeh Hospital (Shamir).
Prof. Berkowitz’s team found that children in the 5-11-year age group had twice to four times as many adverse events following the Pfizer shot as children in the 12-17 age group. This doubling of vaccine injuries is, in itself, extremely disturbing — and should have been immediately brought to the attention of the nation’s parents.
The parents were not informed. What’s more, the Ministry officials recommended booster shots for youngsters aged 5-11—thereby increasing the risk for serious harm.
Furthermore, the doubling of adverse events is only the beginning of the bad news.
As Dr. Yaffa Shir-Raz, a health and risk communication researcher at the University of Haifa and at Reichman University, explained: the 2-dose immunization rate for 5 to 11-year-olds is less than 18%, while older children have rates of 55-72% (3-4 times higher).
“That means that the young children would thus be expected to have ⅓-¼ of the number of adverse events experienced by the older children, not twice as many. This means that the adverse event rate for young children is actually 6-8 times that of the older children, i.e., at 600-800% of the baseline injury rate!”
It is unconscionable that the Israeli Health Ministry knew about the serious risks of harm posed to young children, concealed the evidence, and further expanded the ever-increasing risk for children by authorizing the use of these UNSAFE and medically unjustifiable genetically manipulated injections for infants and toddlers!

The author of the idea calls it mass formation and mass hypnosis. Others have added mass psychosis. He began promoting the concept in Europe to many enthusiastic media, intellectuals, scientists, and physicians. Then it took off in America, where “mass hypnosis” has become a buzzword among critics of COVID-19 policies and practices.
Many thoughtful people who listened to him felt, at long last, they had a label to put on their fellow citizens who were acting zombie-like, soulless, and compliant in response to draconian pandemic measures and all the lies they were being told. Some of the most dedicated reformers in the truth-in-science and freedom movement embraced his ideas. To many, it was a relief to be able to label it — mass formation or mass hypnosis — and to think that there was good science or psychology to bolster the diagnosis.
Now the author of the concept, European psychoanalyst Mattias Desmet, has written a book, The Psychology of Totalitarianism.1 I’m a psychiatrist and, like Desmet, I’m a psychotherapist; but early in my career, I rejected joining one of Freud’s psychoanalytic institutes for special training. I did that for many reasons. First, it was apparent to me that psychoanalysis was an unscientific cult that demanded conformity to a number of very bizarre theories that degraded the human spirit. Second, the training itself required an incredible degree of daily submissiveness to authority. Trainees, many of them already psychiatrists, had to pay to lie on a couch for an hour five days a week while a “training psychoanalyst” would very occasionally make incisive remarks that were supposed to get to their unconscious mind. Third, it smacked of victim-blaming — a subject I will address further that is key to Desmet’s dogma.
