A highly fit doctor from Scotland suffered a heart attack while swimming in preparation for a triathlon, and he eventually died.
Mike “Kippy” Wilson, 46, was recovered from Lochindorb, a freshwater lake, at 12:55 a.m. on Thursday, August 18, according to Daily Record.
Emergency services were called to look for Mike’s body in the water after he was reported missing, but he was later pronounced dead at the scene.
According to reports, Mike was training for a triathlon when he died.

Republican senators blasted the National Institutes of Health for asking a court to retroactively seal the names of a Chinese researcher and an agency staffer involved in the deletion of data from its genetic sequencing library, calling the effort an ongoing “cover-up” that “further underscores the agency’s shady efforts to conceal pertinent data” on the origins of COVID-19.
NIH disclosed the pair’s names and actions 19 months ago to fulfill a public records request, also identifying multiple staffers who manage its Sequence Read Archive (SRA) and Chinese researchers who submitted sequences early in the pandemic.
But the two names associated with the March 2020 SRA deletion came up again, unredacted, in different records the agency turned over this year in response to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, prompting NIH to tell the court it goofed and wanted their names redacted.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — As parts of rural Nevada plan to count ballots by hand amid misinformation about voting machines, the Nevada secretary of state’s office on Friday approved regulations for counties to hand count votes starting as soon as this fall’s midterm elections.
But the revised regulations will no longer apply to the one county that has been at the forefront of the drive to count by hand.
That’s because Nye County, in the desert between Las Vegas and Reno, will also use a parallel tabulation process alongside its hand count, using the same machines that are typically used to count mail-in ballots. All ballots in Nye County will resemble mail-in ballots, interim Nye County Clerk Mark Kampf said in an interview earlier this month.
Nye County is one of the first jurisdictions nationwide to act on election conspiracies related to mistrust in voting machines. Nevada’s least populous county, Esmeralda, used hand-counting to certify June’s primary results, when officials spent more than seven hours counting 317 ballots cast.
The long-time Nye County clerk resigned in July after election conspiracies led to a successful push to hand count votes.

IRS Publishes Confidential Information of 120,000 Taxpayers Online, Then Blames ‘Human Coding Error’ By Jim Hoft
On Friday, officials from Treasury Department announced that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) had accidentally published confidential information pertaining to approximately 120,000 taxpayers’ retirement accounts on its website.
“This letter provides notice that the Internal Revenue Service recently identified an inadvertent and now-corrected disclosure of a subset of Forms 990-T,” Acting Secretary Anna Canfield Roth wrote in a letter addressed to Homeland Security Chairman Thompson.
“Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) requires this report to Congress “not later than seven days after the date on which there is reasonable basis to conclude that a major incident has occurred.” The IRS determined on Friday, August 26, that the inadvertent disclosure met this threshold,” the letter stated.
“Form 990-T is the business tax return used by tax-exempt entities, including tax-exempt organizations, government entities and retirement accounts, to report and pay income tax on income that is generated from certain investments or income unrelated to their exempt purpose,” the letter explained.

Retired Police Officer Criminally Charged for Election Fraud after He Conducted a Sting to Expose Ballot Security Vulnerabilities in Wisconsin By Jeremy Segal
Harry Wait, a 68 year old retired police officer in Racine County, Wisconsin has been charged with two counts of Election Fraud and two counts of Unauthorized Use of an Individual’s Personal Identifying Information, after ordering ballots in other people’s names in a demonstration on how easy it is to cast a fraudulent ballot in Wisconsin.
As we previously reported, following the 2020 election, Wait, who runs a government watchdog group called Hot Government, conducted a sting operation to show how easy it is to harvest ballots in the state.
He now faces up to 13 years in prison.
In July of 2022, according to the Wisconsin DOJ complaint, Wait went on the MyVoteWi.Gov website to order ballots under 10 different names, including State Assembly Speaker Robin Vos and Racine Mayor Cory Mason.

Cosmological Fine-Tuning
Many properties of the universe appear as though they have been precisely adjusted, or “finely tuned,” to permit the existence of biological life. The mysteriously low value of the constant Λ, discussed on the previous page, is one example. Of the wide range of possible values Λ could be expected to have (based on the predictions of quantum field theory), only an incomprehensibly tiny fraction of that range would permit the formation of stars and planets, both of which are necessary for life. Similarly, many other unexplained parameters of physics and cosmology fall within surprisingly narrow ranges that make the universe habitable. We can calculate how the universe would behave if these seemingly arbitrary numbers differed from their actual values, and almost any change would be disastrous. For some parameters, only a narrow range of possible values would permit the existence of any living organisms at all. In other words, the life-permitting range is so narrow that even a miniscule adjustment to the parameter’s value would render the universe completely uninhabitable, not only for human beings but for any imaginable form of life. Parameters like that are said to be fine-tuned for life.
Examples of cosmological fine-tuning can be classified into several main categories:
- First, fine-tuned parameters appear in the fundamental laws of physics. Examples include the cosmological constant Λ, the gravitational constant G, and constants representing the relative strengths of the other fundamental forces.
- Properties of the particles and fields that comprise the physical universe are also finely tuned for life. For example, the chemical complexity of life depends on fine-tuned masses of the elementary particles.
- There are fine-tuned parameters in the initial conditions of the universe—including, for example, the extremely low entropy of the early universe discussed in chapter 3.
In what follows, we’ll consider a few noteworthy examples from each category. For a more complete list, see astrophysicist Hugh Ross’s RTB Design Compendium, Part 1, which catalogues 140 fine-tuned parameters.

Based upon all of the scientific research to date, it appears that the evidence is telling us that the universe – the myriad of galaxies, the solar system, and our earth – are uniquely suited to support complex life. Now, there are only three possible explanations to account for this:
- This situation is the product of blind chance
- That this universe happens to be part of a “multiverse“, and we just happen to be living the in universe that was best suited for life
- That the universe was and is designed on purpose for life

Joe Biden Requesting $13.7 Billion More in Aid to Ukraine as $40 Billion Package Running Dry
President Joe Biden wants to spend $13.7 billion more in aid to Ukraine as his massive slush fund already approved by Congress earlier this year is running dry.
Biden’s request to Congress is part of an overall $47.1 billion emergency spending package of more funds to fight the coronavirus and monkeypox, according to the Associated Press, citing anonymous sources.
Biden has spent roughly three-quarters of the $40 billion approved by Congress in May, officials told the Associated Press, and he wants to spend $13.7 billion more.
The additional funds would not only fund equipment and intelligence support but “direct budgetary support for Ukraine,” the report notes.
Using the existing $40 billion, Biden continues announcing multi-billion dollar packages to fund weapons and ammo, surface-to-air missile systems, counter-drone technology, and drones.
On Ukraine’s Independence Day, Biden announced a three billion dollar aid package to Ukraine in an effort to signal to Russia and the rest of the world that the United States continued to back their independence from Russia.
