The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) this month said it will invest $200 million in digital ID projects, encompassing “digital public infrastructure, including civil registry databases and digital ID” to help meet the 2030 target date for reaching the United Nation’s (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The $200 million in new funding — part of an overall $1.27 billion commitment by the BMGF in support of “global health and development projects,” is closely tied to Goal 16.9 of the SDGs, for which “digital identity programs are supposedly needed,” Reclaim the Net reported.
The funding adds to several existing BMFG-supported global digital ID initiatives, even as such initiatives come under fire for violating people’s right to privacy.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center [VUMC] confirmed it was freezing all ‘gender affirmation surgery’ on underage patients pending a review of their processes, in response to calls from Tennessee lawmaker to investigate the hospital.
VUMC came under fire last month after conservative activist Matt Walsh released a 2018 video showing Dr. Shayne Taylor – an LGBTQ specialist at the hospital – touting transgender surgeries as ‘huge money makers’ for the hospital.
Walsh also compiled a report of his own investigation into VUMC’s trans program which found the hospital ‘drugs, chemically castrates and performs double mastectomies on minors.’

Money Magazine recently released its list of the best places to live in the U.S. It is riddled with pompous virtue-signaling and plagued by diversity-induced myopia that skews rankings to fit a progressive, multicultural agenda. Indeed, the magazine admits that it “gave preference toward places with populations that were less than 80% white.” Many places probably are, but why propagate such bias instead of applying the criteria (education, jobs, housing, quality of life, etc.) objectively?
Instead, in the descriptive justifications for each ranking, Money Magazine touts diversity and multiculturalism. That emphasis results in high “best place” rankings for places with high crime rates, which are a big concern for most Americans. For example, a recent Morning Consult-Politico poll shows that 77% of voters believe that crime in the U.S. is a major problem. If one doesn’t feel safe, quality of life will be elusive.
Constrained by its contrived diversity data, Money Magazine proclaims crime-infested Atlanta, Georgia as the best place to live in the U.S. in 2022. The reason: its booming jobs market and “eye on equality.” Unfortunately, the politicians in Atlanta, and other liberal enclaves, often conflate equality with equity, going beyond equal opportunity to ensure equal outcomes.

Yeshiva University Partners with Matchmaking Service By Chananya Weissman
Yeshiva University is teaming up with a premier matchmaking service to help its students find love. YU’s Center for the Jewish Future (CJF) had previously partnered with matchmaking website Saw You At Sinai. However, in light of recent changes to student demographics and new understandings of Orthodoxy, a bold new vision was needed.
Enter Saw You At Sodom.
“We recognized that many of our students’ needs were not being met,” said Billy Ya’al, Executive Director of Yeshiva University’s new shidduch service. “YU’s partnership with Saw You At Sodom reflects our commitment to equity and diversity.”
But this will be much more than a matchmaking service. The Center for the Jewish Future will be offering a series of workshops to tackle the challenges of finding a partner in today’s complex Orthodox world. Leading rabbis and professionals will explore a wide range of topics, including the following:
- Should gay people be allowed and encouraged to sit on the other side of the mechitza so they can pray without distractions, like everyone else? Is the old model outdated? A halachic discussion.
- Is it appropriate to ask out your chavrusa directly, or should you find a shadchan to suggest it? Can shteiging and shtupping go together? A panel discussion.
- What if a Rebbe/student relationship becomes a different kind of relationship? Are we ready?
- Gavra or Cheftza: How do you know if there is serious potential or if it’s just for fun? Dating coaches weigh in.
“It’s about time,” said Andrew Lamosya, President of the Student Pride Club. “We deserve the same opportunity to love and be loved, and a partnership with Saw You At Sodom will help right the injustice of matchmaking discrimination on campus.”
We also spoke to several single LGBTQ+ students who wished to remain anonymous for shidduch purposes.
“It’s so hard to meet a good man,” said one gay student. “There just aren’t enough good guys out there. And they all have lists.”
Many students agreed, but were unsure what could be done. “It’s God’s fault,” said one who identified as Orthodox rainbow. “But we’re working to create a larger dating pool for ourselves and our children. With the right education and messaging, the next generation will have it much easier.”
None of YU’s Roshei Yeshiva were available for comment. However, YU’s Office of the President released a statement that all Yeshiva faculty were committed to helping students love their neighbors and be loved – however their bodies and souls desire.
Not all students were satisfied with YU’s partnership with Saw You At Sodom. “They should change the name of RIETS to RIGHTS,” said a rabbinical student. “I’m also tired of hearing about separating sinners from sin. It’s not a sin to exist and to love. It doesn’t say that in the Torah.”
One administrator commented on condition of anonymity. “Some rabbis expressed concern about the changing environment, but there won’t be any serious opposition. We pay their schar in this world.”
Overall, however, there was a celebratory mood on campus. Many students were busy filling out their shidduch profiles. “Mishmar and mishkav zachor,” offered one. “The best of both worlds.”
Considering how the winds are blowing, Yeshiva University and Saw You at Sodom are a perfect shidduch.

Imagine if DeSantis from Florida (or any governor) were to catch the FBI and/or the Department of Justice in their illegal activities in Florida (or any state) and call up the National Guard. Then arrest the leaders and incarcerate them, and kick out the rest of them from Florida. Then call for a Constitutional Conference to replace the Federal Government. Remember the Federal Government is a fiction of the imagination of the States that created it. Maybe it’s time to ‘clean house’ and make a new start. That would really ruffle the feathers of those who pull the strings of the Biden regime!
Bad policy got us into it. If we want to end this, we will never do it playing defense. The way out is to go on the offense and change the laws at the federal, state, and county level.
Playing defense in the court system is a never-ending uphill battle.
I think the right way to fix the problem is to fix the policy by adopting new laws and regulations. This can be done via federal law, statewide ballot initiatives, and county ordinances, among other ways. Some of these can only be done at the federal level (like removing the liability protection).

ICAN published the data using a graphical online dashboard and also made the raw data — containing more than 144 million lines of health data — available to the public.
The V-safe smartphone app collected post-vaccination health assessments from approximately 10 million people between Dec. 14, 2020, and July 31, 2022.
Del Bigtree, CEO of ICAN, described the data file as “huge, gigantic” and remarked on the CDC’s failure to make this information available.

THIS IS HUGE. The Delaware Supreme Court just ruled that mass vote-by-mail is UNCONSTITUTIONAL and will NOT be allowed in the 2022 mid-term election. This is a huge step toward ending cheat-by-mail!
That means that election officials can’t just mail out ballots to everybody under the sun – willy nilly – like many states did in 2020 – but that voters must either vote in person or have a valid excuse to vote absentee.
This is a monumental decision that allows those cases being fought in other states to point toward regarding precedent.
“The Vote-by-Mail Statute impermissibly expands the categories of absentee voters identified in Article V, Section 4 of the Delaware Constitution.”

“You would have elections that everybody could be proud of. Because right now this country is a laughingstock all over the world,” former president said in an interview with Just the News.
Former President Donald Trump is offering a specific policy prescription for restoring Americans’ confidence in elections, saying it is time for states to return to paper ballots and to end no-excuses absentee ballots so that results can be finalized on Election Day and the nation can stop looking like a “laughing stock” to the world.
“I call them the fake vote store. That’s the mail in ballots. We shouldn’t have mail in ballots, unless somebody’s very, very sick or it’s military far away,” Trump told the Just the News, No Noise television show in a wide-ranging interview aired Wednesday night on the Real America’s Voice network.
The former president said the long delays — sometimes stretching days or a week or more — before many states finalize election results in close races has shaken America’s confidence and created doubt in foreign countries. The delays, he said, are from the prolific use of mail-in ballots in some states that can sometimes be counted several days after the election if they have an Election Day postmark.
“We should go to paper ballots, like they did in France. Thirty-six million people (voted) and they had no disputes. Everyone had paper ballots, and it was one-day voting. They didn’t store them over there in the corner, and you see the boxes moving all over the place,” he said.
The state “should go to one-day voting. They should go to paper ballots. And you would have elections that everybody could be proud of. Because right now, this country is a laughingstock all over the world. They’re laughing at our stupid elections,” he added.

A peer-reviewed Danish study found a mother’s exposure to toxic “forever chemicals” during her first trimester could result in a lower sperm concentration, lower total sperm count, and a higher proportion of nonprogressive and immotile sperm in her adult son.
A new peer-reviewed study of Danish men found those whose mothers were exposed to toxic per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), or “forever chemicals,” during early pregnancy had lower sperm concentration, lower total sperm count, and a higher proportion of nonprogressive and immotile sperm.
The large-scale population-based study published Oct. 5 in Environmental Health Perspectives assessed semen characteristics and reproductive hormones in 864 young Danish men ages 18.9 to 21.2 who were born to women who provided plasma samples primarily during their first trimester of pregnancy between 1996 and 2002.
Levels of 15 PFAS were measured from maternal samples and seven PFAS had high enough levels to be included in the study. Semen quality, testicular volume and levels of reproductive hormones and PFAS were then assessed in young men from the Fetal Programming of Semen Quality cohort established between 2017 and 2019.
Researchers found that mothers with higher levels of exposure to PFAS during early pregnancy raised adult sons with lower sperm counts and elevated immotile sperm levels. Sperm motility refers to the ability of sperm to swim efficiently, which is required to move through the reproductive tract to reach and fertilize a woman’s egg. Both lower sperm counts and immotile sperm can cause infertility.

A third of 38 brands of dental floss tested positive for PFAS, or “forever chemicals,” which are linked to reproductive problems, birth defects, testicular cancer and a host of other diseases.
That nice waxy glide as you floss your teeth? Turns out it could be courtesy of PFAS, the “forever chemicals” that hijacks hormones and is linked to reproductive problems, birth defects, testicular cancer and a host of other diseases.
Mamavation, the wellness site, and EHN.org tested 39 different brands of floss for PFAS and found evidence of the chemical in one-third of the samples. Levels ranged from 11 parts per million, or ppm, to 248,900 ppm.
Four products had more than 70,000 ppm, or 7%, PFAS, with Oral-B Glide testing at 248,900 ppm, or nearly 25%.
“None of these contaminants are something our readers want in their products,” Mamavation founder Leah Segedie wrote.
PFAS is a family of nearly 12,000 chemicals used to make products, like Teflon, slippery. It’s also found in stain-resistant carpeting and fabrics, cosmetics and firefighting foam.
PFAS are in the blood of nearly all Americans, and testing of umbilical cord blood and breast milk indicates that exposure begins before birth.
Some PFAS bioaccumulate — build-up — which means even low exposures are cause for concern over time as our bodies accumulate more and more of them.

Growing up under a repressive system, Sharo, a 35-year-old university graduate, never thought she would hear words of open rebellion spoken out loud. Now she herself chants slogans like “Death to the Dictator!” with a fury she didn’t know she had, as she joins protests calling for toppling the country’s rulers.
Sharo said that after three weeks of protests, triggered by the death of a young woman in the custody of the feared morality police, anger at the authorities is only rising, despite a bloody crackdown that has left dozens dead and hundreds in detention.
“The situation here is tense and volatile,” she said, referring to the city of Sanandaj in the majority Kurdish home district of the same name in northwestern Iran, one of the hot spots of the protests.
“We are just waiting for something to happen, like a time-bomb,” she said, speaking to The Associated Press via Telegram messenger service.
The anti-government protests in Sanandaj, 300 miles (500 kilometers) from the capital, are a microcosm of the leaderless protests that have roiled Iran.
Led largely by women and youth, they have evolved from spontaneous mass gatherings in central areas to scattered demonstrations in residential areas, schools and universities as activists try to evade an increasingly brutal crackdown.

For those waking up expecting a calm and quiet morning — well — that’s not the case. There’s news that a major train network in northern Germany came to a screeching halt due to “sabotage,” Deutsche Presse-Agentur (dpa) tweeted.
“Sabotage to cables which were vital for train traffic, meant Deutsche Bahn had to stop trains running in the north this morning for nearly three hours,” state-owned rail operator Deutsche Bahn said.
Dpa said all “long-distance trains came to a total standstill in northern Germany at the start of the weekend.” The train operator first blamed a “technical malfunction” but hours later said malicious activity brought down the rail network, prompting security authorities to get involved.

The United States on Thursday announced sanctions against seven senior Iranian officials in response to the repression of escalating protests against the Islamist regime. The group includes Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi, who is also the subject of a “red notice” — an international arrest warrant — issued by the international law enforcement agency Interpol for his alleged role in the 1994 bombing of the AMIA Jewish center in Argentina.
In an official statement, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed that the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) designated Iran’s Minister of the Interior, Ahmad Vahidi, and Iran’s Minister of Communications, Eisa Zarepour, along with five other “senior leaders of Iran’s security apparatus for the continued violence against peaceful protesters and the shutdown of Iran’s Internet access.”
Blinken added that Thursday’s action “follows the Sept. 22 designation of the Morality Police, its senior leadership, and other senior security officials, and the release of Iran-related General License D-2, which together demonstrate that the United States stands with the brave citizens and the brave women of Iran who right now are demonstrating to secure their basic rights.”

It hasn’t even been a full 24 hours since Ladapo tweeted it out. And now, the tweet is removed and replaced with a message from Twitter that reads: “This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules.” A backlink was also provided that reads: “Learn more.”
PayPal reverses course, withdraws policy that would have fined users for ‘misinformation’ By John Solomon
Company says policy change was sent out mistakenly, would have allowed firm to deduct $2,500 from users’ accounts as penalty.
In a censorship experiment gone awry, PayPal reversed course Saturday night and said it was withdrawing a new policy that would have allowed the company to fine users $2,500 if they spread “misinformation.”
The company sent a statement to the National Review saying the Acceptable Use Policy had been sent out mistakenly,
“An AUP notice recently went out in error that included incorrect information. PayPal is not fining people for misinformation and this language was never intended to be inserted in our policy,” the firm said in the statement.
“Our teams are working to correct our policy pages. We’re sorry for the confusion this has caused,” it added.
The policy lit up social media over the weekend, drawing widespread rebuke even from the company’s former CEO.
Until the reversal, PayPal was set to impose the new terms, which laid out a list of policy violations which “may subject [users] to damages, including liquidated damages of $2,500.00 U.S. dollars per violation, which may be debited directly from [their] PayPal account.”

- The U.S. has the power to stop North Korean missile tests but has chosen not to do so. This is true not only of the Biden administration but also its predecessors. The U.S. has continually decided to adopt feeble options.
- Chinese banks have been laundering the North’s proceeds of criminal and prohibited activity for decades. The Trump administration in June 2017 designated, pursuant to Section 311 of the USA PATRIOT Act, China’s Bank of Dandong to be of “primary money laundering concern.” The designation meant the bank could no longer clear dollar transactions through the U.S. banking system.
- If the designation was meant as a signal, Beijing ignored it. And the Chinese assessed the situation correctly. The Trump administration in 2018 decided not to enforce money-laundering laws against two of the “Big Four” Chinese banks, Agricultural Bank of China and China Construction Bank, which were handling suspicious transactions involving North Korea. Such a designation would have put these banks out of business everywhere outside China, and Beijing, as a practical matter, would have had to stop money-laundering for North Korea.
- As a result of inaction, President Donald Trump gave Chinese institutions free passes to violate American statutes. The administration’s decision, an abrogation of its responsibility to uphold the law, was deeply prejudicial to its efforts to disarm the Kim regime.

- North Korea’s accelerated testing of missiles is a reminder that Kim Jong Un is quickly developing the power to destroy American cities. Perhaps the only things his technicians cannot do is miniaturize a nuclear device and shield it from heat upon reentry to the atmosphere. These are, however, capabilities his military, perhaps with China’s help, will develop soon.
- Americans might wonder how one of the most destitute regimes on earth can build weapons capable of killing most every American. They may also wonder why Washington has done almost nothing to stop the North Koreans from selling their weapons to Iran, among others.

Ukraine poked the Russian bear today by blowing up the Kerch Bridge from Russia to Crimea.
According to Russian news agency Tass, an explosion occurred in early Saturday morning on one of Putin’s prestige projects and Europe’s longest bridge, which connects Russia and Crimea.
“An object believed to be a fuel storage tank has caught fire on the Crimean Bridge, but the viaduct’s navigable arches sustained no damage, an aide to the head of Crimea, Oleg Kryuchkov, said on Saturday,” according to the news outlet.
“According to preliminary information, a fuel storage tank is on fire… Navigable arches were not damaged. It is too early to speak about causes and consequences. Work to extinguish the blaze is underway,” Kryuchkov wrote in his Telegram channel.
Crimean Bridge, also known as Kerch Strait Bridge or Kerch Bridge, is a pair of parallel bridges, one road, one rail, spanning the Kerch Strait between the Taman Peninsula of Krasnodar Krai in Russia and the Kerch Peninsula of Crimea in Ukraine.
After annexing Crimea at the start of the Russo-Ukrainian War, Russia built the bridge. It is the longest bridge ever constructed in Russia, at 19 kilometers (12 miles), and the longest bridge in all of Europe.
