Texas Sues Google For Unlawfully Collecting Biometric Data Without Consent
Texas AG Ken Paxton has filed a lawsuit against Google for collecting biometric data. The case was filed in response to a federal appeals court’s upholding of a Texas statute last month, which opens the door for legal action against social media corporations that engage in content moderation.
Ken Paxton, the attorney general of Texas, declared on Thursday that he has sued Google for allegedly “unlawfully” collecting the biometric information of “millions of Texans” without their permission.
“Google’s indiscriminate collection of the personal information of Texans, including very sensitive information like biometric identifiers, will not be tolerated,” Paxton said in a statement.
“I will continue to fight Big Tech to ensure the privacy and security of all Texans.”
In the lawsuit, Paxton said that Google had gathered and archived voice prints and recordings of face geometry from Texans using Google Photos, Google Assistant, and its Nest smart home products without their knowledge or permission since 2015.

Netherlands Orders Closure Of 2 Illegal Chinese Police Stations
Following the international exposure of unlawful Chinese police service stations, the Irish government was the first to request the closure of a Chinese foreign police station. Now, others seem to be following, as Netherlands orders closure of 2 illegal Chinese police stations.
The Netherlands has asked that two unauthorized Chinese police “service stations” in the country be closed down.
Wopke Hoekstra, the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs, announced on Twitter on November 2 that the government has told the Chinese ambassador that the stations must shut promptly.
In its September report (read below), the human rights organization Safeguard Defenders disclosed that China had established at least 38 Chinese police “service stations” in dozens of nations on five continents.
Such stations can be located in both Amsterdam and Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
TikTok Parent Company Planned To Track Specific Americans’ Physical Location
According to documents examined by Forbes, the parent company of TikTok, ByteDance has planned to track specific Americans’ physical locations.
ByteDance’s Internal Audit and Risk Control division, overseen by Beijing-based executive Song Ye, who answers to ByteDance cofounder and CEO Rubo Liang, was in charge of the project.

The team’s primary focus is looking into alleged wrongdoing by current and former ByteDance workers. However, the documents reveal that the Internal Audit team also intended to get TikTok information about a U.S. citizen’s location in at least two instances who had never worked for the company. Although it is unclear from the documents whether information about these Americans was ever gathered, the idea was for a Beijing-based ByteDance team to acquire location information from the devices of American users.
According to Maureen Shanahan, a spokesperson for TikTok, the app uses users’ IP addresses to gather approximate location data in order to, among other things, “help show relevant content and ads to users, comply with applicable laws, and detect and prevent fraud and inauthentic behavior.”

SYDNEY, Nov 15 (Reuters) – Australian health authorities have recommended against getting a fifth COVID-19 vaccine shot, even as they urged those eligible to sign up for their remaining booster doses as the country’s latest COVID wave grows rapidly.
Average daily cases had been 47% higher last week than the week before, said Health Minister Mark Butler at a press conference on Tuesday, announcing new vaccination recommendations. But cases remain 85% below the previous peak, of late July.
Butler said the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisations (ATAGI) had recommended against a fifth dose, or third booster, after evidence from Singapore’s recent wave showed that severe illness and death were rare among the vaccinated and that a fifth shot had minimal impact on virus transmission.

The US government continues to bribe medical institutions to force vaccines on hapless patients. When will the courts finally judge this to be a crime, given what we already know about the shots? What is wrong with Congress that it allows taxpayer money to be spent this way? Congress approved $4.5 trillion to be spent on the ‘pandemic response’ by last December and what has it gotten us? $5 billion was spent on the rotten new bivalent boosters, and for what? They don’t work, and they do enormous harm. Now $475 million is going to health centers, where the administrators will require the shots to be pushed on every patient who walks through the door, presumably as a condition of the grant. And this is happening as one medical center after another is looking at going under, since patients no longer want their help. Hospitals that made tons of money when the federal gravy was flowing are now in the red. The Cleveland Clinic for example, lost over a billion dollars in the first half of 2022. They will be looking for more federal largesse, and if it is conditioned upon vaccinating the hordes, so be it.

A top virologist and member of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) advisory panel who supported granting emergency use authorization for the COVID vaccine has died suddenly.
Dr. Almyra “A” Oveta Fuller, 67, an associate professor of microbiology and immunology and member of the FDA vaccine and biological products advisory committee, died suddenly on Friday morning.
Fuller died on November 18, 2022, after a brief non-COVID-related illness, according to her obituary.
She played a crucial role in securing the emergency use authorizations for the three COVID vaccines.
“Obviously, we’re in a pandemic of coronavirus, and we need to use every tool available that is safe and effective,” Fuller told Michigan Daily when asked why she voted to recommend the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for pediatric use.
“Based on the data that was presented for the clinical trials with 5- to 11-year-olds, as well as the rollout effects of the Pfizer vaccine over the last 10 months in millions of people, the benefits seem to far outweigh the risk. So I voted yes, to make that available as something that parents who choose to have their children vaccinated can do. My opinion was not so much to make it mandatory but to make it accessible,” she continued.
Dr. Fuller also favored including COVID-19 vaccinations on the CDC’s list of mandatory immunizations for school entry, according to Dr. Panda.

Bolsonaro Challenges Brazil Election, Wants Votes Cast on Most of the Nation’s Voting Machines Invalidated By Debra Heine
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro is challenging his election loss last month to leftist rival Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, arguing in a complaint that votes from most electronic voting machines should be “invalidated” due to a software bug.
Bolsonaro’s right-wing electoral coalition filed the complaint in Brazil’s federal electoral court (TSE) after its audit of the vote count found “irreparable non-compliance due to malfunction” in older voting machines.
“There were signs of serious failures that generate uncertainties and make it impossible to validate the results generated” in several older models of the voting machines, Bolsonaro’s allies said in their complaint. As a result, they urged that the votes from those models should be “invalidated.”
Valdemar Costa Neto, President of Bolsonaro’s PL party, and an auditor hired by the party told reporters in Brasilia that their audit found all machines dating from 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2015—about 59 percent of the total used in the Oct. 30 runoff— lacked individual identification numbers in internal logs, and should be voided.

The Rockingham County state House District 6 race was initially “won” by Democrat Eric Turer who garnered 1,213 votes compared to Republican incumbent state Rep. Melissa Litchfield’s 1,198 votes.
However, after the secretary of state reviewed voting material regarding the race, an additional 27 uncounted absentee ballots were found.
Secretary of State David Scanlan went on record saying “Because these 27 ballots have the potential to change the outcome of this race, the Ballot Law Commission will be requested to order that these ballots be counted.”

For a candidate, it helps to know your customer – so the RNC provided “big data lists” to statewide candidates. The RNC enhanced the lists with more data – like whether someone is “leaning Republican.”
The happy candidates gave the lists, with a phone or tablet app to canvassers who went door-to-door to talk to those customers – voters.

A man who knows Halevi well said this week that he was unlikely to radically change things on day one. “Unlike others, he doesn’t talk the talk; he walks the walk; he will not just enter the Defense Ministry and expound on his agenda – he will just implement it. It may take several months, but the change will be noticeable.”
Halevi will have to marshal a lot of skills when he starts: assertiveness, aggressiveness, common sense, diplomatic and political acumen, as well as some mischief and good negotiating skills. He will need to go soft even as he hits hard so that he can manage such a complex organization and navigate Israeli political chaos, which is as convoluted. He already has those skills and he will have to fine-tune them. “He has the necessary skill set to succeed,” one of his predecessors says. “He will just have to have no fear of anyone or anything and be true to his convictions and that he is on the right path.”

Alas, like the recurrent ramblings of a psychopath, Sam’s takeaway was that the implosion at FTX was the side-effect of an unfortunate bank run, and had nothing to do with SBF’s actions; that’s because SBF still refuses to take any responsibility for what happened and makes zero admission that the factors that led to this historic bankruptcy were in his control all along. Sam claims that he didn’t “realize the magnitude of risk.” His main remorse – like that of any pathological individual – is that he got caught.

It’s not just us: with much of the entire world demanding to know how this corpulent 30-year-old still has not been thrown in prison, or at least charged with a variety of crimes, the NYT just confirmed to the entire world what a farce the one-time paper of record has become, and how it is willing to whore itself out for clicks – not to mention prominent Democrat donors – because moments after SBF tweeted that he will be speaking with Andrew Ross-Sorkin moderated NYT “summit” on Nov 30…
