Prior to genetic engineering techniques being developed (1973) and widely used (since late 1970s), more ‘primitive’ means of causing mutations, with the intention of developing biological weapons, were employed. Iran Executes More Than 500 People in 2022.
The execution of a prisoner in Iran on Thursday brought the total number of people executed by the clerical regime in 2022 to more than 500 people.
“Tehran’s frequent executions have rightly earned the enmity of the Iranian people,” said Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) Research Fellow Tzvi Kahn.
The latest victim was executed for allegedly wounding a military officer during the nationwide protests which began in September. The sentence was handed down after a brief trial devoid of due process and rested on a confession elicited through torture, according to FDD.
Iran is the world’s top executioner of juvenile offenders, FDD said. An October 2022 report by U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres found that 85 minors remain on death row. The State Department’s 2021 annual report on human rights in Iran states that Islamic law allows for the execution of juvenile offenders starting at age 9 for girls and 13 for boys.
The extensive crimes subject to capital punishment in Iran include adultery, drug use and moharebeh (waging war against God), which the regime uses to punish those whom it perceives as opponents of its radical Islamist ideology.

The ascent of MK Simcha Rothman, who was appointed chairman of the Knesset’s powerful Constitution, Law and Justice Committee, may prove to be the biggest nightmare for Israel’s current Supreme Court and its progressive supporters. Rothman has become the poster boy for judicial reform in Israel and has been a leading voice in the fight against judicial activism.
A principal second-term member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionist Party, which saw huge gains in the recent election, Rothman is hoping that newfound success at the polls will deliver much needed reform. This reform, supported by all religious parties in Israel, centers on legislation in the form of an override clause, which would enable the Knesset to “override” Supreme Court reversals of laws it enacts, thereby halting overreach by the court.
An activist turned lawyer turned politician, Rothman is the founder and legal adviser of the nonprofit, nonpolitical organization Meshilut, The Movement for Governability and Democracy, which works to strengthen the rule of Israel’s elected officials by restoring the proper balance between Israel’s legal and executive government branches. He is also the author of The Ruling Party of Bagatz: How Israel Became a Legalocracy.
Rothman, who is married with five children, studied in Hesder Yeshiva Kerem B’Yavneh and served as a chaplain in the Combat Engineering Corps of the IDF. He earned his L.L.M. in Public Law in the joint program between Northwestern University and Tel Aviv University. - Among many of South Africa’s Apartheid laws, the Bantu Homelands Citizenship Act effectively stripped all Blacks of their South African citizenship and of the right to vote
- Israeli Arabs, however, have full citizenship, including the right to vote and to public demonstration. They are represented in all levels of government, including positions as members of Knesset (parliament), in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and as Supreme Court justices. - The false allegations also come from incorrectly confusing the nearly two million Israeli Arabs — who make up about 21% of Israel’s population and are full citizens of Israel — with thousands of Arabs whose families left Israel when five Arab counties attacked Israel in 1948. After the Arab armies lost the war they had started, they were surprised to find that they were not welcomed back. They have since settled in other countries – such as Lebanon, Jordan, and the West — as “Palestinians,” but are not citizens of Israel and therefore, of course, not subject to Israeli laws... If all the Arabs in the area are called “Palestinians,” however, it makes it easier to claim grievances, merited or not.
- Both [the West Bank and Gaza] are now disputed territories where the Arabs totally run their own affairs, and have officially committed to direct, bilateral negotiations with Israel about “final status” issues, including where the borders should be. Lately, the Palestinians have refused to negotiate, apparently in the hope that the international community will hand them a better deal. They have been offered their own Palestinian state three times, and each time have said no, without so much as a counteroffer.
- As Navi Pillay herself conceded (in reference to the US, certainly not Israel), “There isn’t a country in the world which has a perfect human rights record…”. Israel is certainly no exception.
- If you are looking for real apartheid against Arabs, try Lebanon or Jordan.
- The “limitations” referred to above are actually the limitations of the facts. What is missing is that Israel does not fit the legal definition of apartheid; therefore, some are forcibly attempting to recreate the legal definition with an “alternative definition” to fit Israel, to ram a square peg into a round hole. The “alternative definition” is, sadly, just a political maneuver to gather unwarranted international cover for still another attempt to replace Israel.

“We purchased bulk cell phone data and tracked illegal aliens over a one-month period from 30 NGOs at the southern border to the interior of the states…. It shows this border crisis is a massive human resettlement program and affects every single district in the country.”

“As part of the Oversight Project’s work to document NGO involvement in the border crisis, the Project launched an investigation which ultimately obtained a sampling of approximately 30,000 unique and anonymized mobile devices that were geofenced to a number of these NGOs along the border. … Phase Two of the investigation involved the geofencing of 20 NGO facilities in border states—around 22,000 devices pinged on premises.
“Phase Two results demonstrated that these 22,000 devices were later traced to 431 separate U.S. congressional districts out of a total 435 congressional districts. Of the 52 congressional districts with the highest density of devices, 71% were Republican congressional districts.”
According to Bannon, this new data will be instrumental in helping the new Republican-led Congress impeach Joe Biden and his Homeland Security secretary.

During the simulation, the World Health Organization’s health advisory board addressed a fictional “Severe Epidemic Enterovirus Respiratory Syndrome” pandemic that originates in Brazil and disseminates across the globe.
The exercise simulated a series of WHO emergency health advisory board meetings addressing a fictional pandemic set in the near future.
