The Rapid Return of Israel’s Disastrous Policy by Daniel Pipes | Middle East Quarterly Winter 2024 (view PDF)
“Judging by the way Netanyahu has managed Gaza in the last 13 years, it is not certain that there will be a clear policy going forward.”— Tal Schneider, Times of Israel
January 11, 2024 – ”Everything changed” in Israel on Oct. 7. But did it? Understanding the mistakes that led up to the Hamas massacre provides a basis to evaluate Israel’s long-term response to that day. Contrary to general opinion, I shall argue that the presumptions behind those mistakes remain in place and will not change unless Israelis adopt a radically different attitude toward the Palestinians.
The Road to Oct. 7
Israeli military planners coined a Hebrew term, conceptzia, “the concept,” in the late 1960s. It held that Egypt’s Anwar el-Sadat would not go to war until 1974, when his military had acquired advanced Soviet fighter jets that permitted it to take on the Jewish state’s air force. Israel’s Agranat Commission, which investigated how the Egyptians and Syrians surprised Israel in the Yom Kippur War of October 1973, largely blamed the conceptzia for a blindness to the preparations taking place before its very eyes.
The future commission inevitably analyzing Israel’s unpreparedness on Oct. 7, 2023, will surely blame that surprise on a second erroneous conceptzia. It held that, David Makovsky of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy explains,
under the heavy burden of governing the Gaza Strip, Hamas would feel the need to prove itself through economic performance. Specifically, economic inducements towards Hamas would moderate its foundational belief that Israel is an illegitimate entity whose very existence must be extinguished and its citizens killed. This Israeli conceptzia was driven by many factors, but at its core, it was based on the idea that Hamas was undergoing an organizational evolution in which it would now value even modest increases in living standards in Gaza. Economic advancement would bring calm, as it gave Hamas something to lose.
Note the words “something to lose”: this phrase summarizes the new conceptzia, a belief that Hamas could be bought off or tempered through economic benefits. A headline published days before Oct. 7 captured the depth of this misunderstanding: “IDF and Shin Bet call on government to continue economic activities with Gaza. Senior security officials ask political echelon to increase work permits for Gazans to maintain calm on the border.”[1] Maintain calm. As Col. (res.) Eran Lerman explained just ahead of Oct. 7:
The ruling center-right in Israel takes a “conflict management” approach to the Palestinian issue. They prefer to leave open the prospect that resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict may yet be possible one day, as the region changes and new leaders emerge. But until then, they believe, what Israel should do is ease tensions and improve living conditions for Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, while reserving the right to hit back at terrorist activity in a selective and intelligence-driven manner.
The conceptzia transformed blood-curdling threats by Hamas into empty words.
The conceptzia transformed blood-curdling threats by Hamas into empty words. The security establishment ignored Fathi Hammad announcing in 2019: “We are sharpening the knives. … If we die it will be when we are killing you [Jews], and we will cut off your heads, Allah willing… We must attack every Jew on the planet – slaughter and kill. … I will die as I blow up and cut – what? The throats of the Jews and their legs. We will tear them to shreds, Allah willing.” Only by completely disregarding such statements could Aryeh Deri, a senior Haredi politician, admit after Oct. 7 that he “never imagined that we were dealing with such murderers who are capable of acting with such cruelty.”
Conversely, those rejecting the conceptzia met with exclusion and scorn. National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir complained that his calls for the assassination of Hamas leaders caused him to be barred from cabinet discussions. Itai Hoffman, the chairman of a security organization near the Gaza border, accused the government, “We warned you about the situation. How can it be that you all sat here and kept silent? … You have abandoned us.” A kibbutz member pointed out that his community had only four rifles, adding “We have been screaming for years.” Yehiel Zohar, the mayor of a town near Gaza, complained that senior security officials belittled his warnings, with maps, infiltration routes, and defense plans, about hundreds of murderers entering his town and killing its residents: “Forget about it, it won’t happen.”
Avichai Brodetz, whose family was taken hostage by Hamas, vented bitter frustration at a Likud member of parliament about Hamas:
The army could easily have destroyed them, but the entire conceptzia of the IDF collapsed [i.e., was wrong]. Hamas understood this, and they were far more clever than we were. They carried out an exceptional operation, raped our women, and killed our children because the IDF was not there. This did not happen because of Hamas but because of the conceptzia you used. It would have been so easy to destroy Hamas with tanks and planes – but they simply weren’t there.
When Hamas drilled in plain sight, holding a live-fire exercise of blasting through a mock wall and raiding a mock town, then posted a video of this, Israelis ignored it. As the Jerusalem Post reports, “IDF lookouts who had warned that they were concerned about the situation along the Gaza border in the months before the Oct. 7 attack were told to stop bothering their commanders and even threatened with a court-martial.” A noncommissioned officer specializing in Hamas military doctrine wrote three documents warning about Hamas’ plans, emphasizing its exercises simulating an invasion across the border into Israeli residences and even reporting that senior Hamas officials came to watch the exercises. Her warnings went up the hierarchy, only to be met with the response, “You are imagining it.” A senior IDF officer scorned such warnings as “fantasies” and refused to act on them. Just a day before the attack, a lookout reported seeing suspicious activities but commanders “discounted” her concerns, telling her “Hamas is just a bunch of punks, they won’t do anything.”
Many observers held Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu personally responsible for the conceptzia. Thus, Israeli defense analyst Yoav Limor finds that he
promised to eliminate Hamas and claimed that Hamas is the same as ISIS, yet continued to effectively allow the organization to build up through various means, including money, supply trucks, fuel, electricity, labor, and more. He, who saw Hamas as a devil, should have destroyed it, but during his long rule, he did the opposite: It thrived and became a monster. Netanyahu effectively legitimized Hamas, and that allowed a misconception to form around it.
Israeli journalist Nadav Shragai agrees, holding Netanyahu “responsible for the misconception and its outcomes. He is its father, mother, and guardian.” But to be fair, Shragai adds,
it must be noted that almost all of Israel’s highest political and military officials, right and left, and most of the media, too, lined up behind the separation policy, either as a systematic worldview or by acquiescing in it. Almost all of them backed Netanyahu when he refrained from crushing Hamas by land; almost all of them belittled the Hamas threat.
Along those lines, Ben Gvir speaks of a “conceptzia camp” that included former prime minister Naftali Bennett and former IDF chiefs of staff Benny Gantz and Gadi Eizenkot. The conceptzia even had followers among those living closest to Gaza. Hanan Dann, a member of a kibbutz devastated on Oct. 7, explains:
We were glad that workers from Gaza were coming to Israel with work permits to have jobs to meet Israelis, to see that we’re not all “those devils.” We all really believed that things are changing, that Hamas has maybe matured from being this terrorist group to be the grown-up taking responsibility for its people, worrying for its welfare. And that concept really blew up in our face.
To summarize: Israel’s leadership hardly paid attention to the Islamist and jihadi nature of Hamas, believing that Israel’s economic strength, military superiority, and technical advancement moderated Hamas, rendering it less dangerous.
Apparent Changes
The post-Oct. 7 reckoning was brutal. “So many policies and paradigms,” David M. Weinberg of the Misgav Institute writes, “have been proven faulty, phantastic, illusory, and grotesque.” The idea of a Hamas-governed Gaza placated by economic well-being, Martin Sherman of the Israel Institute for Strategic Studies concludes, is but “a hallucinatory pipe dream.”
Putin ally warns US/NATO of another red line that, if crossed, will lead to nuclear response LEO HOHMANN
Putin and his spokesmen have warned of several red lines, almost all of which have been crossed by the U.S.-funded Ukrainian military. At some point, Putin will make good on his word.
JAN 11, 2024 – This is really big news folks and I’m afraid most of you won’t hear about it when you flip on the radio or Cable TV network news.
The global news agency Reuters reports that a senior ally of President Vladimir Putin warned on Thursday that any Ukrainian attacks on missile launch sites inside Russia with arms supplied by the United States and its allies would risk a nuclear response from Moscow.
Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, now deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, said that some Ukrainian military commanders were considering hitting missile launch sites inside Russia with Western-supplied long-range missiles.
This is exactly the type of development that could lead to the use of nuclear weapons. If Putin sees missiles about to take out his nuclear arsenal, why would he do anything but begin to launch them?
According to the Reuters’ report:
[Ed.: This is perfect timing for the desperados worried about Trump winning the next election! Perfect! They would sooner nuke the planet, than lose power and face prosecution for their crimes. Putin just spelled out their solution, ‘The Final Solution’!.]
What’s Behind “Bring Them Home Now”? Chananya Weissman
January 11, 2024 – Last week I took a closer look at the ubiquitous, relentless reminders about the hostages (who never should have been able to be taken in the first place, no matter how the controlled media and useful idiots try to rationalize it). The program is available here.
This propaganda and brainwashing — that’s what it is — is intended to keep the focus of the masses away from examining what really happened on October 7 and how, and, even more importantly, justify sending our finest Jewish fighters into a booby-trapped hellhole and keeping them there for months on end with no clear goal or endgame in sight.
Bring home the hostages! Whatever it takes! Whatever it costs!
The official numbers of deaths and casualties among our soldiers are as trustworthy as the official numbers about Covid, for it is roughly the same people and entities providing this information. It is in the interests of those who want this “war” to continue indefinitely to downplay the numbers so that soldiers will continue to imperil themselves, and their families will continue to support the war.
After all, it doesn’t really make sense for thousands of Jewish fighters to be killed and maimed for the speculative hope of saving 100 or so hostages, whose whereabouts and wellbeing are also speculative at this point.
It doesn’t really make sense for thousands of Jewish fighters to be killed and maimed to eventually turn Gaza over to some other group of Arab enemies or foreign power.
It doesn’t really make sense for thousands of Jewish fighters to be killed and maimed to blow up tunnels and booby-trapped buildings (which never should have been allowed to be built in the first place) when there are less costly ways of defeating our enemies.
This is why we need to be relentlessly bombarded with glossy pictures of hostages and motivational slogans. This is why we need all sorts of campaigns to support and strengthen the soldiers.
A truly sensible, justified military operation does not and should not require relentless propaganda, downright brainwashing, to maintain soldier morale and public support. It is only when an army is suffering catastrophic losses and/or the narrative behind the war is highly questionable that a propaganda machine must be deployed.
Otherwise people will think.
Otherwise people will stop.
The Bring Them Home Now campaign seems almost as omnipresent as God Himself. Their website, bringthemhomenow.net, states the following:
“The Hostage and Missing Families Forum was formed by the families of the abductees less than 24 hours after the horrific attack by Hamas on Israel on October 7th…”
Really? Which families? Could they really have been both so valiant and stone-cold impervious to the horror and trauma mere hours after the mini-Holocaust to even be functional, let alone create a slick, humongous, EXTREMELY expensive marketing campaign?
This is as believable as the official claim that there were zero flu cases in 2020.
Here are some very interesting pieces of information for your consideration.
The bringthemhomenow.net website was registered on October 10 (see here).
The organization listed as the registrant is MMS Communication Israel Ltd.
MMS Communication Israel Ltd is also known as Leo Burnett Israel (source is here).
Leo Burnett Israel is a huge international advertising agency.
This is not a grassroots campaign by the families of abductees. A huge international advertising agency is running the Bring Them Home Now campaign. (Who is really paying for all that?)
According to CheckID, MMS Communication Israel Ltd had two “government engagements” with Israel’s Health Ministry between 2019 and 2021 (source is here) . You know, when we were being bombarded constantly with Covid-related propaganda.
What a funny coincidence.
I was curious about how quickly “the families of abductees”, kibbutznikim near the Gaza border, managed to create such a slick, professional website and campaign from scratch. I checked out the Wayback Machine, which takes screenshots of websites periodically, so you can get a sense of this.
Requests for information about the Bring Them Home Now website are blocked. See here.
If you think this information is irrelevant, or unimportant, or we shouldn’t think about it right now because we have to SUPPORT OUR SOLDIERS, and BRING THE HOSTAGES HOME, and WIN THE WAR IN GAZA, enjoy your darkness while you can.
Enjoy all the cameras that are going up all around you to keep you safe, which didn’t prevent the invasion, and which, strangely enough, are NOT going up in Gaza.
Enjoy the fences and walls that are going up around you, not around our enemies. To keep you safe, of course.
Enjoy living in your ghettos and 15-minute cities, to keep you safe. Enjoy your comfortable prisons, as long as they are somewhat comfortable.
Enjoy giving up whatever little remains of your freedom and autonomy, outsourcing what little remains of your ability to control your own life, provide for your family’s needs, and raise your children, for the greater good.
Stay strong as our fighting forces are decimated, our cities turned into ghost towns, our farmland abandoned, our population turned into refugees totally dependent on the government and charity, and our ability to think and speak curtailed by increasingly totalitarian laws.
All for our own good. All for the sake of the hostages. All so we can “win”.
If, however, you feel differently about all the above, you can still choose to do something about it.
You can choose to continue to follow Pharaoh’s sweet talk and propaganda, or you can opt out.
You can choose to keep getting sucked into the latest controlled narrative and marketing campaign, or turn off and tune out ALL the propaganda and brainwashing.
You can choose to fear what people think of you, or fear Hashem and the consequences of placing anything else first.
You can choose to eagerly participate in your own enslavement and eventual destruction, grudgingly participate, or stop participating altogether.
You can choose to speak to people in real life (not just virtually) and gradually create a real change.
Most of all, you can see our real enemies for who they are, and recognize the war that we are really in. Then you can choose to beg Hashem to redeem us, create a truly Jewish leadership with fear of God, and make Torah the law of the land.
Or not.
It’s up to you.

Part III: The Face Of The ‘Suffocating Occupation,’ ‘Humanitarian Disaster,’ ‘Concentration Camp,’ And ‘Prison Camp’ Of Pre-War Gaza – In Pictures And Data (An Answer To António Guterres, Benjamin Netanyahu, Norman Finkelstein, David Cameron, Ron Paul, And Patrick Buchanan) By Yigal Carmon*
Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) Palestinians | Inquiry & Analysis Series No. 1740
January 10, 2024 – On October 25, 2023, the UN Security Council held a debate concerning Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israel. Setting the stage for the debate, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said: “It is important to also recognize that the attacks by Hamas did not happen in a vacuum. The Palestinian people have been subjected to 56 years of suffocating occupation.”[1]
In 2018, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defended his policy of allowing the transfer of billions of dollars in Qatari aid money to Hamas-controlled Gaza by saying that the money was needed “to prevent a humanitarian disaster” in the Gaza Strip.[2]
American political scientist Norman Finkelstein said on October 7, the day of the Hamas attack: “For the past 20 years the people of Gaza, half of whom are children, have been immured in a concentration camp.”[3] Later, in a November 23, 2023 interview, Finkelstein called the Hamas attackers “concentration camp inmates… who burst the gates of Gaza.”[4]
In 2010, then-UK prime minister David Cameron called Gaza a “prison camp.” Cameron is currently UK foreign secretary.[5]
In 2009, former U.S. presidential candidate Ron Paul said that Palestinians in Gaza are “virtually…in a concentration camp.”[6]
In 2009, former U.S. presidential candidate Pat Buchanan said that Gaza is “an Israeli concentration camp.”[7]
All of these claims are totally false.
In the case of Netanyahu, it was an attempt to justify his decade-long policy of funneling the Qatari billions to Hamas, a policy that enabled this jihadi organization to build its military empire and carry out its October 7 attack.
Algerian Writer: Arab Intellectuals Who Support Hamas Are Hypocrites – They Ignore Its Atrocities On October 7 And The Tragedy It Has Brought Upon The Gazans Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI )
Algeria, Palestinians, North Africa | Special Dispatch No. 11075
January 11, 2024 – On October 24, 2023, some two weeks after Hamas’ October 7 terror attack, in which some 1,200 people were killed and about 240 were kidnapped, a group of Arab intellectuals, writers, journalists, film directors and artists issued an open letter in which they attacked their Western colleagues who had condemned Hamas and supported Israel. The letter, which ignored the atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7, stated that the Western intellectuals could have been expected to support “the Palestinian people’s struggle for its just and legitimate national rights,” and accused them of hypocrisy for calling Hamas terrorist.
In response to this open letter, Hamid Zanaz, an Algerian author and researcher who resides in France and is a columnist for the London-based daily Al-Arab, accused the letter signatories of ignoring the fact that Hamas directly caused the current tragedy in Gaza by committing atrocities on October 7. Wondering whether these Arab intellectuals really regard Hamas’ atrocities – murdering young men and women, mutilating bodies and kidnapping women, children and elders – as a moral and legitimate form of resistance, as their letter indicates, Zanaz stated that they themselves are the hypocrites, because they talk about values and human dignity, yet remain silent or even condone the “monstrous barbarity” displayed by Hamas. He noted that the letter signatories also disregard the fact that Hamas is a fundamentalist Islamist movement that oppresses the people of Gaza, and wondered whether any of these intellectuals would agree to live under Hamas’ tyrannical rule. The support for Hamas after the atrocities of October 7, he concluded, only harms the Palestinian cause and does not promote it.

A Culture in Collapse By Victor Davis Hanson
American civilization has been turned upside down, and we have a rendezvous soon with the once unthinkable and unimaginable.
January 8, 2024 – In the last six months, we have borne witness to many iconic moments evidencing the collapse of American culture.
The signs are everywhere and cover the gamut of politics, the economy, education, social life, popular culture, foreign policy, and the military. These symptoms of decay share common themes.
Our descent is self-induced; it is not a symptom of a foreign attack or subterfuge. Our erosion is not the result of poverty and want, but of leisure and excess. We are not suffering from existential crises of famine, plague, or the collapse of our grid and fuel sources. Prior, far poorer, and war-torn generations now seem far better off than what we are becoming.
What is happening to us is not due to an adherence to a too strict conservative tradition but is almost exclusively the wage of the progressive project.
In short, we are seeing fissures that America has not experienced in our cultural history since the Civil War. The radical Left apparently feels such chaos, anarchy, and nihilism are necessary to topple past norms and customs and thereby adhere to a socialist, equity agenda that no one in normal times would stomach.
Some of the decay is existential and fundamental; some anecdotal and illustrative. But either way, while decline came about gradually over decades, its sudden and abrupt chaos during the three years of Biden’s presidency has shocked Americans.
I Will (Probably Not) Survive JENNA MCCARTHY
Prepping is the new black, but some people [raises hand shyly] may not be prepared to embrace the trend.
JAN 10, 2024 – The Internet’s been ablaze lately with stories and speculation about Mark Zuckerberg’s “top-secret underground bunker in Hawaii,” a multimillion-dollar compound so stealth that a Google search for it only returns a scant 2,630,000 results.
It’s no surprise that prepping is having a moment. After all, in case you didn’t get the memo, we’re teetering on the brink of war with someone (China? Russia? Iran? Ourselves? Nobody knows!), there’s constant talk of the very real possibility of the grid going down (which obviously would result in mass chaos, looting, rioting, civil unrest, and at least a temporary halt to Amazon Prime delivery), aliens may or may not have recently descended on a shopping mall in Miami, and our very own government is spraying our skies and our food with deadly chemicals on a daily basis. (I know, the fact-checkers say the last one is false; they also said the lab-leak theory was poppycock and labeled posts containing Pfizer’s own damning Covid vaccine data “missing context,” so if you’re still buying that fact-check BS, I can’t help you.) It’s a scary world out there on the best of all possible days, and a bunch of industrious go-getters are working on an exit plan.
Today’s modern-day preppers boastfully post TikTok videos of their zealous selves raising chickens, hoarding ready-to-eat meals, installing water collection systems, and turning the “pandemic gardens” they started out of lockdown boredom into full-fledged agricultural operations. They share handy tips such as stocking up on mini bottles of booze specifically for bartering (and saving the big jugs for “medicinal use, sanitizing things, to cook with, and when everyone’s on your damned nerves” she’s not wrong) and dole out uplifting words of wisdom like, “Prep, don’t panic!” and “The best time to start was yesterday.”
Well, damn.
Criminality in the White House: The Rise of the Political Psychopath By John & Nisha Whitehead
January 10, 2024 – “When the President does it, that means that it is not illegal.”—Richard Nixon
Many years ago, a newspaper headline asked the question: “What’s the difference between a politician and a psychopath?”
The answer, then and now, remains the same: None.
There is no difference between psychopaths and politicians.
Nor is there much of a difference between the havoc wreaked on innocent lives by uncaring, unfeeling, selfish, irresponsible, parasitic criminals and elected officials who lie to their constituents, trade political favors for campaign contributions, turn a blind eye to the wishes of the electorate, cheat taxpayers out of hard-earned dollars, favor the corporate elite, entrench the military industrial complex, and spare little thought for the impact their thoughtless actions and hastily passed legislation might have on defenseless citizens.
Psychopaths and politicians both have a tendency to be selfish, callous, remorseless users of others, irresponsible, pathological liars, glib, con artists, lacking in remorse and shallow.
Charismatic politicians, like criminal psychopaths, exhibit a failure to accept responsibility for their actions, have a high sense of self-worth, are chronically unstable, have socially deviant lifestyles, need constant stimulation, have parasitic lifestyles and possess unrealistic goals.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re talking about Democrats or Republicans.
Political psychopaths are all largely cut from the same pathological cloth, brimming with seemingly easy charm and boasting calculating minds. Such leaders eventually create pathocracies: totalitarian societies bent on power, control, and destruction of both freedom in general and those who exercise their freedoms.
Once psychopaths gain power, the result is usually some form of totalitarian government or a pathocracy. “At that point, the government operates against the interests of its own people except for favoring certain groups,” author James G. Long notes. “We are currently witnessing deliberate polarizations of American citizens, illegal actions, and massive and needless acquisition of debt. This is typical of psychopathic systems, and very similar things happened in the Soviet Union as it overextended and collapsed.”
In other words, electing a psychopath to public office is tantamount to national hara-kiri, the ritualized act of self-annihilation, self-destruction and suicide. It signals the demise of democratic government and lays the groundwork for a totalitarian regime that is legalistic, militaristic, inflexible, intolerant and inhuman.
Incredibly, despite clear evidence of the damage that has already been inflicted on our nation and its citizens by a psychopathic government, voters continue to elect psychopaths to positions of power and influence.

Most Americans can’t grasp just how badly the USA has already been subverted
JAN 10, 2024 – Since it’s 2024, I’ve got some bad news for my fellow patriots that I feel compelled to share. Ignore it at your peril.
It’s terrible but it’s true: America is a post-constitutional nation.
The federal government has no actual legal boundaries.
Our corrupt political elites recognize no limits to their whims. They don’t even pretend to be public servants anymore. They consider themselves to be your rulers.
This dismal truth struck me while I found myself explaining the Barack Obama-produced Netflix film Leave The World Behind to friends and family over the holidays.
Many of them simply didn’t get it. They asked questions like: Why does it matter that Obama produced it? The idea that Barack Obama’s extensive involvement in a film about the collapse of America from cyber attacks should be a major cause for concern was lost on them.
I tried to explain to them that Obama was the shadowy figure actually in charge of the Biden regime, rather than the nursing home patient who walks around the halls of the White House most nights, without his pants, in confusion — according to my Secret Service sources.
In other words, the actual leader of the Biden regime bothered to produce a film about the collapse of America from cyber attacks in an election year. This made a slightly bigger impression on some of my friends and family — but not by much.
Many of them had stopped watching or reading the news altogether in the last few years. Most of them were still living in the past — in the old America of their memory — while waiting for the Biden regime to disappear or collapse. But what happens if the Biden regime doesn’t disappear or collapse? What happens if the Biden regime cheats again in 2024 and remains in power?
That’s the problem.
If you don’t understand yet in 2024 that America’s liberal establishment has morphed into a communist mob hell-bent on ending our republic then I’m sorry but: you’re not going to make it.

Do You Have Any Other Place to Live? BY GADI TAUB
The mother of a fallen IDF soldier underscores the divergent worldviews of Israel’s patriotic citizens and its privileged elites
JANUARY 03, 2024 – t’s hard to understand what Israel is going through without taking measure of the yawning chasm between Israel’s patriotic citizenry and its progressive elites. For most Israelis, a powerful instinct of self-preservation kicked in on Oct. 7, and they responded with the rage and determination one would expect from a healthy society. Israel’s progressive elites also responded as one would expect: Regaining their balance after the initial shock, they fell back on their usual wariness of patriotism. For them, the instinct of self-preservation itself is part of the problem, not part of the solution.
This chasm has vast political implications, though it’s not, itself, strictly political. This is why it can be elusive. But it was captured with force in a one-minute-and-47-second excerpt from a TV interview. The interview with Galit Valdman, the mother of IDF Major Ariel Ben-Moshe, who fell on Oct. 7, was conducted by journalist Ilana Dayan. A screenwriter could not have done a better job of conveying so much about Israel’s current state of mind with so little dialogue. It’s worth looking at closely, line by line.
Ilana Dayan is the unrivaled star of Israeli highbrow broadcast journalism. She’s the anchor of Israel’s most influential investigative journalism show, Uvda (Fact), roughly equivalent to CBS’ 60 Minutes. She embodies the spirit of Israel’s progressive elites not just in the views she expresses but also in her persona. She wears sparse makeup and rimless glasses, and she sports a crisp Ashkenazi, modern Israeli accent, which flows softly and effortlessly in well-formed sentences. But not so much this time.
Granted, it’s never easy to interview the close relatives of recently fallen soldiers. The media’s hunger for the sensational is at odds with ordinary decency, and it is a delicate act to straddle the contradiction. But Dayan is a true master of the genre. With her unassuming appearance and soft demeanor, she bestows a veneer of journalistic dignity on what is, in fact, media voyeurism. She therefore did not start this conversation as so many others may have, with a hushed “So how are you?” Rather, she signaled awareness of the danger of vulgarity. “Is there any point in asking you how you are?” she said.
Israel Needs to Start Fighting to Win Against Hezbollah and Hamas [40:31] Caroline Glick
January 9, 2024 JNS TV – Hezbollah attacks army base in a major escalation of the conflict, back peddling in the war against Hamas and the rift between the army and the leadership grows wider.
[Ed.: This is the point. IINO is not fighting to win. If they were, it would have been over 10 weeks ago.]
Jan. 9, 2024 3:15 pm -Have you seen the polls? Most Americans are angry and shocked about our open borders. They are literally in shock that any U.S. President would allow this to happen. A huge majority defines this as an “invasion.” A huge majority says this is a national security crisis.
Here is what most Americans can see and understand…
Open borders are leading to massive increases in spending…welfare…food stamps…national debt…the bankruptcy of America.
And of course, a massive decline in our quality of living.
Open borders are overwhelming the system and will inevitably lead to the collapse of our economy, civil society, and eventually our entire country. A country without borders is no longer a country.
Open borders have produced an unprecedented crime epidemic. We are letting in all the world’s violent criminals, murderers, rapists, robbers, drug dealers and deadly MS-13 gangbangers. All combined with a dramatic shortage of police.
Open borders will lead to the implosion of our public school system and disaster for our children’s future. Classrooms will be overcrowded; there aren’t enough teachers; schools will be overwhelmed with crime, gangs, drugs and teen pregnancy.
Open borders will lead to a national security catastrophe- because we have no idea why countless military age males from China are pouring across our border. But we can guess- to create crisis and confusion, and attack America and our infrastructure from within, if China invades Taiwan.
Open borders are leading to the death of America’s cities- now filled with crime, drugs, homeless, needles, poop and pee.
Open borders will lead to third world disease and new deadly pandemics.
Open borders will lead to bankruptcy of the healthcare system- because where will we get the money to pay for all the world’s sick…and for ordinary medical care for tens of millions of new illegal aliens and their children?
I think every normal, non-brainwashed, non-communist American gets all of this.
And I believe most Americans are scared to death of a terrorist attack upon our homeland any day now.
But what most people don’t understand yet, is the
REAL terrorist attack has already happened…
The mirage of US guarantees and international peacekeepers Ambassador (ret.) Yoram Ettinger
January 9, 2024
The Gaza theatre!
*The track record of the Gaza Strip reveals that it lends itself to terrorism, as contended by the June 29, 1967 memorandum submitted by General Earl Wheeler, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff, to Defense Secretary Robert McNamara.
*Gaza is contiguous to the largely lawless Sinai Peninsula, which has been a platform for anti-US ISIS-supported and Iran-supported Palestinian, Syrian, Iraqi, Libyan, Egyptian terrorists and drug traffickers.
*The Gaza reality is impacted by the unpredictably volcanic Middle East, especially by Iran’s Ayatollahs, the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamic terror entities.
*A postwar plan for the Gaza Strip must be based on exclusive Israeli military control, not on well-intentioned US guarantees and defense pacts, and not on non-Israeli peacekeepers, who would not be limited to observing compliance, but mostly to combatting terrorists. However, non-Israeli peacekeepers should not be expected to sacrifice their lives on the altar of Israel’s security.
*In 1983, Hezbollah terrorists car-bombed the US Marine barracks and US Embassy in Beirut, killing 260 Americans, prompting the withdrawal of US soldiers – who participated in the Multinational (peacekeeping) Force – from Lebanon.
US guarantees and defense pacts?
*According to Prof. Michla Pomerance, Hebrew University, international relations, US guarantees and defense pacts (dating back to the early 19th century) feature escape routes – highlighting the dominance of US interests over the interests of the guaranteed party – facilitating delay, suspension and non-implementation:
<Non-specificity;
<Non-automaticity;
<Non-implementation;
<Subordination to the US Constitution, which limits presidential power.
*In fact, the inherent ambiguity, non-durability and tentative nature of US guarantees and defense pacts have unintentionally tended to fuel conflicts.

Who actually commands the American military? JORDAN SCHACHTEL
Not Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, or the top two officials in the Pentagon.
JAN 8, 2024 – On Thursday, a highly-publicized American drone strike in Baghdad took out a high ranking Tehran-backed militant leader.
It was followed by an always robust debate about the wisdom of having U.S. troops deployed to Iraq, and the positives and negatives of conducting that strike, following several weeks of ongoing unreciprocated attacks against American forces stationed in Iraq.
What we still don’t know is who exactly decided to make that decision.
Certainly, the United States has the world’s most powerful fighting force. That much remains known.
But since the inauguration of President Joe Biden, the public has been left entirely in the dark about who or what group of individuals sits atop the chain of command.
No, not the structured chain of command that you’re seeing presented in the corporate media.
This is how it’s supposed to work
The real chain of command.
Joe Biden, our figurehead president is continually degrading, both cognitively and physically, so he’s certainly not in charge. Sure, he physically signs off on military operations and what not, but the man merely holds the pen.

January 8, 2024 – Palestinian Arab terrorists killed in action are accorded well publicized and elaborate funeral processions, where their pictures are prominently displayed. Dozens of young men and women are commonly seen vowing to become suicide bombers. Some of this is merely theatrics yet dying to free “Palestine” has become a badge of honor. [1]
Arab mothers of the “martyred” children are honored in the media for their willingness to sacrifice their sons. On November 3, 2022, Al-Aqsa TV (Hamas – Gaza) broadcast simultaneous events exalting these women. Amina Zahran, the mother of slain Hamas terrorists Ahmad Zahran and Zahran Zahran said at one of the events: “We do not fear death… We want martyrdom.” The mother of terrorist Khaled Jawabra, said that she has 17 children and 65 grandchildren, and that she would gladly and enthusiastically sacrifice them for the sake of Palestine and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. “Our homeland and our holy places are dearer to us than our children,” she declared. Another speaker disclosed that the “families of the ‘martyrs’ laugh and smile at their funerals because of the rewards the martyrs receive from Allah.” [2]
In June 2023, 15-year-old Sadil Ghassan Naghnaghiya Turkeman –a female Palestinian Arab terrorist and member of the Islamic Jihad– was killed during an Israeli counter-terror operation in Jenin. Naghnaghiya’s Facebook profile picture showed her holding an M16 assault rifle, and one of her posts read: “We do not love Martyrdom-death.”
Two days after Naghnaghiya was killed a posted text on Telegram channel read: “Jana Bilal Naghnaghiya, 8, speaks about her good friend and cousin Sadil [Naghnaghiya]: “Sadil was very beloved by the people, very very much, by the children and adults … congratulations on the Martyrdom, congratulations, congratulations, congratulations. I want to tell you congratulations with my whole heart, 1,000 times congratulations …Today I was happy for her, I was very very happy. Congratulations on the Martyrdom.” [3]
Involvement of Palestinian Arab teens in acts of terrorism against Israel is not a new phenomenon. Palestinian Arab terror organizations have been training children as early from the 1970s. This was also observed in the First Lebanon War in 1982, when IDF soldiers confronted Palestinian Arab youth sent by the Palestine Liberation Organization to shoot rocket-propelled grenade rockets (RPG) at them. Later, they became known as the “RPG children.” Arab teens continued as combatants in the Second Intifada in 2004 and during the “knife intifada” in 2015. [4]
In February 2023, there has been a resurgence of shooting attacks in eastern Jerusalem by young Palestinian Arabs, who are called in Arabic Ashbal al-Quds (boys of Jerusalem). They have become the “new heroes” in the war against Israel, whom they view as the enemy that must be crushed through acts of terror sand jihad. They have been incited by the Palestinian Authority on social networks, particularly on Tik Tok and Instagram and at school and home. [5]
Incitement at Summer Camps
For more than a decade, Islamic Jihad and Hamas have been conducting summer camps for thousands of schoolchildren throughout the Gaza Strip. Camps have served as vehicle to promote jihad, terrorism and armed struggle with the goal of “liberating Palestine from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea.” Campers receive military training: practicing with knives and weapons, including the AK-47, sniper rifles, RPG launchers, mortars and machine guns, instruction on hand-to-hand combat, firing rockets and kidnapping Israeli soldiers. Some lessons occur at Hamas military bases. At one camp, a boy gave a demonstration of tunnel warfare.
Children are recruited and enrolled for summer camps through Hamas and PIJ websites and social media, and at booths staffed by members of the two groups inside mosques and at other public locations throughout the Gaza Strip. Senior officials of Hamas and PIJ attend ceremonies at the start of camp and at and graduation ceremonies, where they speak to the campers.
Khaled Abu Askar, the head of Hamas’s Higher Committee for Summer Camps, declares that Hamas is very concerned about the young generation, and is eager to invest in their future. Young Palestinian Arabs, he said, are being systematically targeted to erode their belief system, conduct, values, moral behavior and patriotism. Who is responsible for this attempt to lead them astray? There is no question, Israel.
On July 8, the 2023 camp season began with 10,000 young boys and girls in attendance. The slogan for this summer is Shield of Jerusalem, signaling the children will be exploited in the fight against the Jewish state. They are being taught the art of initiating terror attacks and serving as human shields as part of the campaign to “liberate” Jerusalem. [6]
Relentless Glorification
Palestine Authority’s (PA) relentless glorification of terrorists reinforces the culture of hatred against Jews. When squares, youth centers, schools, sports stadiums in Palestinian Arab towns and cities are named after terrorist murderers elevates their actions to the level a heroic act of “resistance.” [7]
Former PA minister education and higher education, Sabri Saidam, justified the naming of Palestinian Arab institutions and public venues after murderers since “both Palestinians and Israelis honor those who they view as their national heroes, no matter how the other side views them. It is peculiar that Israel names streets and major installations after its own founders and so-called heroes, and the Palestinians are not allowed to do so,” he said, citing former Israeli Prime Ministers David Ben-Gurion and Menachem Begin. “One’s man hero is another man’s terrorist,” he said. INTRODUCTION: Space Is No Longer the Final Frontier––Reality Is by Linda Goudsmit
January 7, 2024 – The purpose of this book is the defense of America’s children.
The globalist War on America is a war of attrition. I am 76 years old. My generation of American patriots is dying. My children’s generation of indoctrinated millennials is transitional. My grandchildren’s generation is the targeted prey for the globalist predators. Everyone else is just in the way.
Children are the future of every society on Earth, which is why America’s youngest children are globalism’s primary target. The battlefronts for children’s minds are education, medicine, and the media. This axis of collaboration seeks to separate children from the protection of their parents and psychologically groom them to become compliant citizens in globalism’s New World Order, without their parents’ knowledge or consent. Psychological warfare is attempting to change the way children think and process information, while simultaneously eliminating parental authority. It is an attempt to change the hearts and minds of America’s children.
My goal is to raise public awareness about globalism’s psychological, informational, asymmetric War on America, on the American family, and most specifically, on America’s precious children. Globalists have already infiltrated America’s educational industry and weaponized education to shatter families, destroy children’s individual identities, including their sexual identities, and replace parental authority with governmental authority. Schools are the combat zones, and teachers the vanguard for indoctrinating America’s children.
The future of America lies in the ability of our nation’s children to become rational, autonomous, psychological adults with developed critical-thinking skills. For this reason I wrote an illustrated children’s book series, Mimi’s Strategy. The books are my personal commitment and patriotic effort to teach young children the critical-thinking skills that will protect them, empower them, and ensure American freedom for generations to come.
Space Is No Longer the Final Frontier—Reality Is exposes the methodology being used to advance globalism’s War on America. In order to transform America from constitutional republic to socialism to globalism to feudalism, it is necessary to obliterate the psychological adulthood of America’s chronological adults, and to prevent America’s children from developing into psychological adults. Why? Because freedom is an adult enterprise. A nation of children and childish adults cannot sustain itself. It does not possess the critical-thinking skills required to preserve a constitutional republic.
As I look back over the last several years, it is clear to me that Anthony Fauci’s COVID-19 political medicine protocols and the Biden regime’s lawless anti-American policies are both orchestrated, coordinated tactical operations in globalism’s War on America. Their interrelated domestic policies have been instrumental in weakening the national economy, national security, national defense, public health, and military readiness, while simultaneously strengthening America’s commitment to globalism’s internationalized mandates that comport with United Nations 17 Sustainable Goals, Agenda 2030, and the World Health Organization’s centralized international control.
Political medicine protocols and the Biden regime’s policies both utilize the tactical methodology of fear-based psychological regression. Why fear-based? Because fear is arguably the most mobilizing and destabilizing human emotion. If you frighten people enough, you can get them to believe and do almost anything.
Consider Voltaire’s famous remark, “Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.” Now consider some of the absurdities Americans accepted as facts during the COVID-19 madness: the necessity for lockdowns, masking, social distancing, school closures, business closures, church closures, social isolation, and especially acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccines that are not vaccines. In fact, Covid jabs are experimental gene-altering mRNA treatments that were never properly tested for safety and require continuous boosters, including jabs for babies.
When politicized medical absurdities are accepted as medical science, atrocities are committed in the name of science. So, when parents surrender their authority and common sense to the “experts” and are convinced of the efficacy of these medical absurdities, the parents commit atrocities against their own children with the help of their doctors and therapists, who are actually ideologues, not doctors and therapists. Parents force their young children to be jabbed with vaccines that are not vaccines, and wear masks that restrict oxygen and are entirely useless against viruses. Why? Because parents are frightened.

Then, Israel will return it to being ‘Gush Katif’ in its pre-disengagement levels, which produced 63% of Israel’s exports. No Arabs will be permitted entry as supplemental workers, or for any other excuse. This is the land that the God of Israel has given us, and we are not to negotiate its ownership or desecrate its purity for any reason. We should have gleaned that from the consequences the last time on Oct. 7th, and the first time, after Ariel Sharon’s Gush Katif ‘disengagement’ August 17, 2005. But even now, we still don’t get it. Because we don’t get it, we will be whacked again, and the next time will probably be the last time. How much patience, benevolence, and forgiveness for disobeying Him do we expect from our Creator? Thanks must go to our IINO military elites and government refusing to win against our enemies.]
“US Foreign Policy Is a Scam Built on Corruption” JOHN LEAKE
Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs reminds us that war is a racket.
JAN 6, 2024 – Major General Smedley Darlington Butler was, at the time of his death in 1940, the most decorated Marine in U.S. history. During his 34-year career, he fought in the Philippine–American War, the Boxer Rebellion, the Mexican Revolution, and World War I.
However, at some point after World War I, he began to have grave doubts about his profession. Over time, with study and reflection, he concluded that he had NOT spent his life fighting and killing for the American people, but for special interests in New York City and Washington.
As he memorably stated it in his 1935 book, War is a Racket:
I helped make Mexico, especially Tampico, safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefits of Wall Street. The record of racketeering is long. I helped purify Nicaragua for the international banking house of Brown Brothers in 1909-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for American sugar interests in 1916. In China I helped to see to it that Standard Oil went its way unmolested.
Though war is indeed profitable for the financiers and industrialists who champion it, it is invariably a disaster for a free citizenry. As James Madison remarked in a 1795 pamphlet:
Of all the evils to public liberty, war is perhaps the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops every other. War is the patent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes. And armies, and debts, and taxes, are the known instruments for bringing the many under the dominion of the few. In war, too, the discretionary power of the executive is extended; its influence in dealing out offices, honors, and emoluments is multiplied; and all the means of seducing the minds are added to those of subduing the force of the people! No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare.
I thought of Butler and Madison this morning when a friend in Boston sent me an essay by Columbia University Professor Jeffrey Sachs that begins as follows:
US Foreign Policy Is a Scam Built on Corruption
The $1.5 trillion in military outlays each year is the scam that keeps on giving—to the military-industrial complex and the Washington insiders—even as it impoverishes and endangers America and the world.
On the surface, US foreign policy seems to be utterly irrational. The US gets into one disastrous war after another — Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Ukraine, and Gaza. In recent days, the US stands globally isolated in its support of Israel’s genocidal actions against the Palestinians, voting against a UN General Assembly resolution for a Gaza ceasefire backed by 153 countries with 89% of the world population, and opposed by just the US and 9 small countries with less than 1% of the world population.
In the past 20 years, every major US foreign policy objective has failed. The Taliban returned to power after 20 years of US occupation of Afghanistan. Post-Saddam Iraq became dependent on Iran. Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad stayed in power despite a CIA effort to overthrow him. Libya fell into a protracted civil war after a US-led NATO mission overthrew Muammar Gaddafi. Ukraine was bludgeoned on the battlefield by Russia in 2023 after the US secretly scuttled a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine in 2022.
To understand the foreign-policy scam, think of today’s federal government as a multi-division racket controlled by the highest bidders.
Despite these remarkable and costly debacles, one following the other, the same cast of characters has remained at the helm of US foreign policy for decades, including Joe Biden, Victoria Nuland, Jake Sullivan, Chuck Schumer, Mitch McConnell, and Hillary Clinton.
