Joe Biden’s latest addition to the US Supreme Court, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, however, had a different take on the significance of the free speech case. Some might say that Justice Ketanji Brown, during oral arguments, dismissed the First Amendment as a roadblock for the government and big tech in their efforts to collude against Americans to censor their free speech.
In stark contrast, US Justice Alito argued that the US government and big tech should not be colluding to censor the speech simply because they don’t agree with it.
Justice Alito to the defense lawyer: “When I see the White House and Federal officials repeatedly saying that Facebook and the Federal government should be partners… regular meetings, constant pestering… Wow, I cannot imagine Federal officials taking that approach to print media.”
And then, Kentaji-Brown Jackson dropped a stunning First Amendment bomb…

I’ve heard you say a couple of times that the government can post its own speech, but in my hypothetical, you know, kids, this is not safe. Don’t do it is not gonna get it done. So, I guess some might say that the government actually has a duty to take steps to protect the citizens of this country, and you seem to be suggesting that that duty cannot manifest itself in the government, encouraging or even pressuring platforms to take down harmful information.

Mar. 18, 2024 10:40 am – President Trump’s lawyers on Monday in a court filing said Trump has been unable to secure a bond in order to appeal Letitia James’ $454 million judgment.
Letitia James last month threatened to seize Trump’s assets.
Last month President Trump offered to post a $100 million bond and asked for a stay of the $464 million judgment in Letitia James Soviet-style NYC fraud trial.
“The exorbitant and punitive amount of the Judgment coupled with an unlawful and unconstitutional blanket prohibition on lending transactions would make it impossible to secure and post a complete bond,” Trump’s defense lawyers wrote in the filing. “Appellants nonetheless plan to secure and post a bond in the amount of $100 million.”
Trump has been unable to secure a bond for the judgment’s full amount his lawyers said on Monday.
Trump’s “ongoing diligent efforts have proven that a bond in the judgment’s full amount is ‘a practical impossibility,’” Trump’s lawyers said, according to NBC News. “These diligent efforts have included approaching about 30 surety companies through 4 separate brokers.”

Since the dawn of our history as a country, we have been chasing terrorists with blood on our hands, fantasizing about revenge and finally capturing them – and releasing them. This time, at least without illusions.
03-18-2024 14:40 – Does the elimination of Marwan Issa guarantee us that Israel’s far reach will catch all the terrorists wherever they are, and therefore there is no fear of releasing any terrorist in exchange for the return of the hostages, even those whose hands are covered in blood?
“I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil” – the promise that Israel will eliminate the last of the terrorists is based on the operation “Wrath of God” for the elimination of the planners of the attack at the Munich Olympics in 1972.
The success of the operation is more PR than God’s vengeance. Even though it was portrayed as a brilliant operation for those days and depicted heroically in Steven Spielberg’s film “Munich”, it took seven years – and several expensive and embarrassing failures – for Israel to eliminate Ali Hassan Salameh, the “Red Prince” and the mastermind behind Munich. Salameh’s commander, the head of the Black September organization, Mohammad Daoud Odeh, was not only saved from the Wrath of God squads, but was allowed to live in Ramallah following the Oslo Accords. Odeh, who did not regret until the end of his life, declared the massacre in Munich – an attack in which Israeli hostages were tortured and beheaded – as a great victory for Palestine, one that would be repeated.
Another example is the Schalit deal in which Saleh al-Arouri was released. Not much time had passed since his release, and Al-Arouri began commanding Hamas in the West Bank and carried out murderous attacks. When he became wanted by Israel, he fled to Turkey. He opened a headquarters there and managed the array of attacks from there. The most famous and cruel of them was the kidnapping of the three teens, Naftali Frankel, Gilad Shaer and Eyal Yifrah and their murders. As long as he was in Turkey, Israel refrained from killing him.
An attack in Turkey, a member of NATO and maintaining a level – and even the lowest – of relations with Israel, is impossible. It was only when he made the mistake of his life and arrogantly visited Lebanon, that Israel laid hands on him. It took ten years, during which al-Arouri spilled too much blood.
Yahya Sinwar was also released in the Schalit deal. Until Oct. 7, for unclear reasons that brought the terrible disaster upon us, Israel refused to eliminate him. Now it is too late. Unlike Marwan Issa, who came and went in the tunnels, Sinwar does not take his nose out of the burrow and surrounds himself with hostages who serve as a human shield. When he’ll leave Gaza as a condition for the return of the hostages and hide in Qatar, Israel will not carry out an operation there to eliminate him for the same reasons as Turkey.

Mar 17, 2024, 11:29 PM (GMT+2) – Little by little the Israeli establishment media is talking about the day after, and believe it or not, pushing Israel for new elections in the middle of the war, because they don’t like the direction this government might move in for the day after. And all this with the obvious support of the Biden administration, as President Biden, VP Harris and even Jewish Senator Chuck Schumer have clearly voiced how they think the Israeli people are not represented by our current government.
It is unbelievable how off they are on reading Israeli society today. Israeli society wants total victory and wants the Israeli government to ignore the evil pressure from the Biden administration stopping us from winning this war and freeing our captives in Gaza.
But, I digress.
The Israeli establishment media, former Prime Minister Ehud Barak, Benny Gantz, the Biden administration etc. all prefer to have the center-left bring down the government and push Israel to elections in the middle of the war, thinking that their center-left parties, led by people who still today believe in the same failed security policies that led to the Oct. 7th tragedy, will win an election and continue leading Israel down the path of appeasement.
What do many Israelis want? Well, the majority of Israelis want to ensure that all Israelis from down South can move back to their homes and all Israelis from all North can move back to their homes, with no fear of ever being attacked again. And that will only happen if Israel is in total control of the Gaza Strip. More than that, many Israelis are openly supporting allowing Gazans to be able to leave Gaza. These are ideas that the establishment media and the center-left parties hate, because it makes Israel look bad in the pr war.

The place was Toulouse, France. This was supposed to be the Free Zone. This was a trick to make the Jews feel they were safe.
In fact, the Nazis were already patrolling traffic. One morning, there they were! Streets were being roped off and Jews, like cousin Villie, were being picked up, never to be seen again.
Father had made arrangements for our escape, an effort that he coordinated with the priest LaRosh, and the French Underground.
There were to be the four of us, father. Noah, mother, Ida, my sister, Sarah, me, the baby, plus five other families whose escape was being endowed by my father.
According to the plan, we were to be picked up by a particular driver who would see us through the checkpoints on our way to the train.
The train would get us to the Pyrenees, and into Spain.
If ..if everything went according to Plan. All of it was risky. But it had to be done. The priest, LaRosh, had been informed that we were on the List to be deported.
A car did show up as scheduled, but to everyone’s horror, the driver was a Nazi.
He turned out to be a member of the French Underground, but we did not know this, as he kept getting us through one checkpoint and another.

Latest polls, some sanctioned by Kremlin-controlled organs, show that the war enjoys no more than 30 to 40 percent approval among Russians. More interestingly, between 50 and 60 percent of Russians oppose a second wave of military call-up, something that the Kremlin’s military planners regard as imperative if Russia means to stay in the game.
- Instead, NATO has found two new members, and not just anyone, because Finland and Sweden built part of their national identity on neutrality. Even worse for Putin, the US-led alliance is seeding up membership procedures for at least four other countries, notably Albania…
- Being forced to sell its oil at a juicy discount to China is the last thing that Russia might have wanted, had it not been forced to do so because of Western sanctions.
- What is amazing is that all those involved in this tragedy seem to be unable to read the runes even when plainly explained to them, notably that a war fought half-heartedly, almost as a weekend hobby, could go on without producing a winner and a loser, something without which no war can ever end.

- Hamas is perhaps the first regime in recorded history to fight a war designed to maximize casualties among their own population.
- Failing to swiftly destroy Hamas and directly punish Hamas’s backers in Iran and Qatar will teach sympathizers in other parts of the Muslim world that strategies of atrocity should be added to the playbook of regimes challenging U.S. allies around the world. Even worse would be for Hamas to actually achieve a strategic victory and gain a Palestinian statehood; such an outcome would ensure that atrocity becomes a standard and widely used strategy for at least a generation to come.
- The laws of war — primarily a Western innovation — are being weaponized by the enemies of the West, who do not subscribe to Western culture….. Today, the United States and our allies find ourselves at war with states and non-state entities who do not subscribe to the laws of war.

- The popular accusation of disproportionality is, in point of fact, aimed to prevent Western-aligned nations from achieving decisive victories. Even when the allies of the United States have the military capacity to break the will of the enemy, thereby imposing peace on the defeated, they will be forced to resort to fighting forever wars.
- Why should the Israelis be compelled to allow aid into Gaza, when Hamas continues to hold hostage not just Israelis but also Americans? Under the guise of benevolence and generosity, international organizations promote forever wars.
- If the type of warfare that we have seen from Hamas is allowed to succeed, and is not met with overwhelming violence and utter defeat, it will become the standard approach for those challenging Western dominance. If, however, we want to live in a world where the laws of war mean something, then the penalties for deliberately flouting them need to be terrible. Otherwise more regimes will be tempted to gain advantage through strategies of atrocity.
- The US should stop imposing on our allies a doctrine of defeat.
- Finally, the day after hostilities end, the Israelis must protect the new Gazan government from being undermined by renewed efforts to support terrorism and remilitarization.
- The only path to peace, other than the destruction of Israel, is through a comprehensive Israeli victory and an unconditional surrender by Hamas in Gaza, and a post-war arrangement ensuring that the Gazans will not be able to commit such atrocities in Israel again.
Biden’s ‘Trojan Pier’ For Gaza by Daniel Greenfield

- The temporary pier setup is about bypassing Israel to provide long term access to Gaza… [the pier] is not actually meant to be temporary, but a permanent port for the terrorists.
- The Pentagon spokesman emphasized, however, that American forces would not be on the ground, would not be in a position to secure the aid deliveries or stop Hamas from taking them.
- Some of those partner nations could include Hamas allies like Qatar or Turkey. Any armed foreign nation entering Gaza would amount to an invasion of Israeli territory with the ultimate aim of aiding the terrorists living on it.
- The Trojan pier is not only about bypassing Israel, but also Egypt. The administration’s vision is that the new arrangement will allow it to directly move materials into Gaza without having to get permission from either Israel or Egypt. And that’s a major victory for the terrorists.
- Biden’s actions are a violation of Israel’s sovereignty.
Five Americans are still being held hostage by Hamas, and Biden has sent no troops to help them, but at the State of the Union address, he promised to send troops to build a pier for Gaza.
The estimated over 1,000 troops will spend as long as 2 months laboring to build a floating pier in a war zone under potential attack to help transfer aid to the Hamas supporters living in Gaza.
Nothing about this plan makes sense.

Its destructive possibilities have been known for quite some time. In addition there is no way of knowing when it will activate and very little that can be done to mitigate its malign effects on countries and humans.

Israel’s war of defense against a genocidal enemy is an inflection point in the seismic battle between civilization and barbarism. The West is failing that test.
This was illustrated at the Oscars. Numerous Hollywood stars sported red pins supposedly backing a ceasefire in Gaza. The pin depicts the palm of an orangey-red hand on a red background with a black heart in the middle.
For some Israel supporters, this image channeled the infamous picture taken in 2000, when a Palestinian Arab terrorist involved in the savage lynching of two Israeli soldiers in Ramallah triumphantly displayed his two bloody palms to the frenzied mob.
The group that distributed the pin, Artists4Ceasefire, claims that the hand image “conveys the beautiful community of people from all backgrounds that have come together in support of centering our shared humanity” and that the heart is an “invitation for us to lead with our hearts.”
This asinine froth does not convince. The palm of a hand does not denote community; hand symbols are usually white, a heart is usually red and a red hand signifies a bloody one.
A black heart, meanwhile, commonly denotes evil. And the 2000 lynching involved ripping the heart out of one of the Israeli corpses and holding it exultantly in a Palestinian Arab hand.
Conversely, the image could have been reflecting the symbol used in countless anti-Israel demonstrations to signify that Israel has blood on its hands: A symbol that grotesquely paints the Israelis fighting to defend themselves against genocide as wanton killers of the innocent.
The Oscars ceremony also featured an attempt to transform Israeli suffering into Israeli oppression by Jonathan Glazer, director of the much-lauded Holocaust movie “The Zone of Interest.”
Standing with his two backers, Glazer said, “Right now we stand here as men who refute their Jewishness and the Holocaust being hijacked by an occupation which has led to conflict for so many innocent people.” The victims of the Oct. 7 pogrom and the inhabitants of Gaza, he said, were “all the victims of this dehumanization.”
His ignorance was staggering. Apart from no land being illegally “occupied” by Israel, the cause of the conflict is the century-old attempt by the Palestinian Arabs to eradicate the Jewish presence in the Land of Israel and then the Jewish state. And to accuse Israel of dehumanization, when it’s going to greater lengths than any other army in the world to minimize civilian casualties, was simply malevolent.
Far worse, though, was Glazer’s abuse of Judaism and the Holocaust to claim that Israel had hijacked both. He implied that Israelis were like Nazis and that their behavior went against Jewish principles.
This to describe a war caused by the worst atrocities against Jews since the Holocaust and Israel’s attempt to ensure that a second Holocaust does not happen again.
The obscenity of Glazer’s comments can scarcely be exaggerated. The belief that demonizing Israeli Jews somehow represents Jewish values is, however, a pathology that has twisted the minds of many liberal American Jews. It is being fed by a venomously distorted presentation of Israelis as child-killers in Gaza that’s being ruthlessly pumped out by Western media.
This accusation, of course, channels a paranoid antisemitic trope. It’s also based on Hamas propaganda claims that are patently untrue.
