Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant instructed the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to begin preparations for evacuating the north, as a state of war was officially passed by the government cabinet.
The IDF were earlier instructed to evacuate residents living in the south, within two and a half miles from the Gaza Strip, following the war that erupted on Saturday when the Hamas terrorist group attacked, but had to halt the efforts on Sunday.
As such, Gallant instructed the IDF to start arming residents in the area with weapons and ammunition. In addition, there would now be an army officer responsible for communicating all the mayors and regional councils in the area bordering the Gaza Strip, “to assist in the management of the situation on the home front.”

After Hamas committed the worst attack on the Jewish state in fifty years, Israel’s cabinet officially declared war on the terrorist organization by invoking Article 40 Aleph.
Since the start of the conflict, with the death toll anticipated to grow after Hamas terrorists fired hundreds of missiles and dispatched dozens of militants into Israeli communities, at least 700 Israelis have died, around 2,150 have been injured, and 100 have been verified as being held hostage by the Islamic terrorist organization.
On social media, horrifying videos of Hamas militants kidnapping festival goers and parading a woman’s bruised, naked body around the streets have gone viral.
Additionally, the group of abducted people includes Americans.
Gilad Erdan, Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, confirmed this in a statement where he declared that “dozens” of Americans are being held as hostages in Gaza by Hamas.
“I know that there are dozens—dozens, ok? of Israelis holding American citizenship who are being held hostage in Gaza. Dozens. There are many Israelis who have American citizenship, we don’t have all the names yet. We’re still working to get the names of all the missing people. But dozens are Americans,” Erdan told the American press.
In another report, a daughter and son-in-law of a professor at Massachusetts-based Brandeis University were slain while defending their adolescent son from Hamas gunfire.

“This morning, on Shabbat and a holiday, Hamas invaded Israeli territory and murdered innocent citizens including children and the elderly. Hamas has started a brutal and evil war,” said Netanyahu.
“We will be victorious in this war despite an unbearable price. This is a very difficult day for all of us,” he continued.

Netanyahu assured the Israeli public that the “entire government is behind this decision,” signaling a unified stance among Israel’s political leadership. He also indicated that the IDF would “immediately use all its strength to destroy Hamas’s capabilities.”
“We will destroy them and will forcefully avenge this dark day that they have forced on Israel and its citizens,” he declared.
Quoting the famous Hebrew poet Hayim Nahman Bialik, Netanyahu said, “‘Revenge for the blood of a little child has yet been devised by Satan.’ All of the places which Hamas is deployed, hiding and operating in, that wicked city, we will turn them into rubble.”
In a direct message to the residents of Gaza, the Prime Minister said, “Leave now because we will operate forcefully everywhere.” He revealed that the IDF is already “clearing the terrorists out of the last communities,” going “community by community, house by house,” to restore Israeli control.

More than 300 Israelis have lost their lives in a surprise large-scale attack by the Palestinian terror group Hamas on Saturday. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the attack by vowing to reduce the group’s Gaza hideouts to “rubble.”
Over 1,600 people were reported wounded as a result of Hamas’s massive rocket barrage, ground, air, and sea offensive, marking one of the bloodiest escalations of the conflict in decades.
Throughout the night, intense gun battles ensued between Israeli forces and hundreds of Hamas fighters in at least 22 locations across Israel, with at least two incidents involving gunmen holding hostages, as confirmed by the army.

OCT 7, 2023 7:00 PM – How did Hamas, the bloodthirsty jihad terror group in Gaza, perpetrate mayhem and destruction inside Israel on a scale never before seen?
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Saturday that “since this morning, the State of Israel is at war.” This was as Hamas fired over two thousand rockets into Israel, and over a hundred Israelis were murdered as jihad terrorists entered Israel and began killing people indiscriminately.
There has never been a Hamas jihad offensive from Gaza of this magnitude. In fact, throughout the history of modern Israel, there has never been anything like this, even when the Jewish state faced jihad coalitions of the neighboring Arab states in major wars in 1948, 1967, and 1973. So how was Hamas able to do it?
For one thing, it was Shabbat in Israel, and the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah. In that, this latest jihad resembles the 1973 war, which was launched on Yom Kippur. The idea in both cases was to catch the Israelis napping and at minimal preparedness, with large numbers of military personnel off for the holiday.
But that was by no means all. There were widespread reports that as Hamas’ relentless rocket barrage began, Israel’s vaunted Iron Dome missile defense system was down. Reports on this so far are sketchy, but if the Islamic Republic of Iran, which as the chief financier of Hamas is clearly behind these attacks, has managed to breach Israeli security and interfere with the functioning of the Iron Dome, the ominous implications cannot be overstated. If Israel cannot manage to get the Iron Dome up and running on a secure basis, the Hamas attacks on Saturday could turn into a larger war that engulfs the entire region, as the Islamic Republic of Iran finally attempts to make good on decades of genocidal rhetoric directed at Israel.
Hamas also took advantage of vulnerabilities in Israel’s defenses. As jihadis screamed “Allahu akbar,” a bulldozer destroyed Israel’s fence at the Gaza border, allowing jihadis to pour into Israel in large numbers. Hamas’ military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, issued a triumphant communique on Telegram:

The current acting foreign minister is Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi. Muttaqi is a prominent Afghan politician and a leading member of the Taliban Islamic Movement.
According to the statement, the Ministry has been closely monitoring the events unfolding in the Gaza Strip and has attributed the conflict to “the violation of the rights of the oppressed Palestinian people by the Israeli Zionists and repeated insults and disrespect to the holy places of Muslims.”
The statement goes on to say that the Taliban considers “any type of defense and resistance of the Palestinian people for the freedom of their land and their sanctuaries as their legitimate right.”
The group urges the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the second largest intergovernmental organization in the world after the United Nations, and other influential countries in the region, to intervene in the conflict. The statement explicitly calls for these entities to “prevent the violence of the Israeli occupying forces against the innocent people of Palestine” and to resolve the issue “on the basis of granting the legitimate rights of the Palestinians.”

“We will be victorious in this war despite an unbearable price. This is a very difficult day for all of us,” he continued.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the scale and brutality of the attack were “unprecedented in Israel,” and pledged to ensure that such an event “does not happen again.”

October 7, 2023 – Hamas and Islamic Jihad surprised Israel on Shabbat and the holiday of Simchat Torah with a barrage of 2,000 missiles. From within the cover of the missile attack, Hamas terrorists invaded Israel proper – entering more than 20 communities where they killed 100s of people as well as kidnaping more than 100 civilians – bringing them back to Gaza.

An estimated 200 Hamas terrorists broke through the border fence and drove into Israel on Toyota pickup trucks armed with machine guns, and on motorcycles with one terrorist riding and another shooting bursts of automatic fire.
Many kibbutzim were left without security and despite calls for help – no IDF showed up to defend for at least 4 hours.
