Nov. 8, 2024 9:15 am – Dutch Freedom Party leader Geert Wilders is said to be formulating plans for mass deportations of immigrant Jew-Haters from the Netherlands after mobs of bloodthirsty Muslims attacked hundreds of Israeli soccer fans in Amsterdam in what seemed to be a pre-planned attack Thursday night.

“Gangs of Muslim rioters attacked Israeli Maccabi Tel Aviv fans who had come to watch their team play against Ajax in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, Thursday night”, Jewish Press reported. “The attack was preplanned, and local authorities ignored the warnings they received from Israeli security authorities.”

“Footage from the city shows fans being violently attacked, kicked, and even run over by cars. There were clashes resulting in injuries to Maccabi fans before the game as well. In one case, an Israeli fan was thrown into a canal and forced to say “Free Palestine” until he was released”, Jewish Press wrote. “Authorities in the Netherlands reported 12 injured people in hospitals and the Foreign Ministry reported seven Israelis who are out of contact, five more Israelis have been hospitalized. The actual number of injured and out-of-contact may be higher.”

Videos showed Israelis being hunted by gangs armed with knives and baseball bats and waving PLO flags on the streets of Amsterdam. At least one Israeli fan was kicked violently in the head while unconscious on the ground while police seemed to stand by. Apparently, 7 Israelis are still missing and the Dutch police are looking into the possibility of a hostage situation.

Israel is sending charter fligts to Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport to rescue their citizens from Muslim-overrun Europe while the Israeli Embassy advised citiztens to shelter in place and not identify themselves as Jews.

Apparently, Iraeli security service Shin Bet had warned the Dutch at 7 PM Thursday to send police reinforcements ahead of the anticipated Arab attack, but the Dutch authorities ignored the urgent requests.

The leader of the Dutch Freedom Party Geert Wilders publicly questioned the Security Minister in his own cabinet, David van Weel, who is a member of the Dutchj RINO-Style People’s Party (VVD) which Wilders left over 20 years ago to found his own party.

Responding to an X post by Israeli journalist Emily Shrader concerning the failure of Dutch officiuals to act on the warnings, Wilders posted: “Is this true? Is so, then we have a problem.”

Responding to a post by Security Minister David van Weel, Wilders wrote: “That’s not enough! Why wasn’t there enough police? Why wasn’t this provided for? Why don’t you get this scum out of the country? Where are the proposals to denaturalize criminal Muslims? Why isn’t there an special cabinet session today? Where is the urgency?”

Wilders called the attacks “A pogrom in the streets of Amsterdam. We have become the Gaza of Europe. Muslims with Palestinian flags are hunting down Jews. I will NOT accept that. NEVER. The authorities will be held accountable for their failure to protect the Israeli citizens. Never again.”

El Al announces Shabbat rescue flights from Amsterdam

Israeli airline announces it will run free last-minute flights to bring Israelis home from Amsterdam today, even on Shabbat, following the pogrom against Israeli soccer fans.

Nov 8, 2024, 10:25 AM (GMT+2) Israel National News – Following last night’s antisemitic pogrom in Amsterdam, El Al announced that it will operate rescue flights from the destination to Tel Aviv at short notice, including on Shabbat. The flights will be free of charge, the first flight will take off from Amsterdam at 2:00 p.m. (local time), and is expected to land back in Tel Aviv later today.

Hundreds of fans of the Maccabi Tel Aviv soccer team reported that they were attacked overnight Thursday by Arabs in Amsterdam, as they left the stadium following Maccabi’s game against AFC Ajax.

The fans testified that an ambush had been prepared for them in advance at various points outside the stadium.

Disturbing footage from the city, which was posted to social media, fans are seen being violently attacked, beaten and even run over. One of the fans was forced to say “Free Palestine” before he was let go. Some of the fans barricaded themselves in shops and other places in the city. The local police escorted some of the Israelis back to their hotels.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry said that ten fans were injured and that three people are unaccounted for, and efforts to get in touch with them are ongoing.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this morning spoke with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof following the pogrom.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said that he views with utmost gravity the planned antisemitic attack against Israeli citizens and requested that security be increased for the Dutch Jewish community.

The Prime Minister thanked his Dutch counterpart for expressing shock over last night’s events and for saying that it was an extraordinary and antisemitic event.

Pursuant to the Prime Minister’s directive, Israeli planes are now en route to the Netherlands to bring back the [Israeli] citizens, including the wounded.

Dutch right-wing leader Geert Wilders condemned the violence and wrote on X, “Looks like a Jew hunt in the streets of Amsterdam. Arrest and deport the multicultural scum that attacked Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters in our streets. Ashamed that this can happen in The Netherlands. Totally unacceptable.”

He later posted again about the incident and wrote, “A pogrom in the streets of Amsterdam. We have become the Gaza of Europe. Muslims with Palestinian flags hunting down Jews. I will NOT accept that. NEVER.”

An Israeli who witnessed the goings on told Kan 11 News, “They waited in groups at every corner, and as soon as they recognized Jews – they started chasing them. Others waited near hotels and near the casino in larger groups, and there they also attacked fans. Then others drove by with cars and did not stop honking near hotels in which Israelis are staying.”

“The police were not present at the conclusion of the games, and Muslims were waiting near train stations for Israeli fans and followed them,” said another Israeli. “The police only started to intervene after about half an hour to 45 minutes into the attacks, after the attackers threw firecrackers at people and into buildings.”

A spokesperson for Amsterdam police said that 57 suspects have been arrested during the incidents, but could not confirm if those arrested are soccer fans. The reasons for the arrests, according to the police: Violation of public order and possession of fireworks.

The Prime Minister’s Office stated that “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been informed of the details regarding the very violent incident against Israeli citizens in Amsterdam, held an assessment with his Military Secretary and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and is receiving regular updates.”

“The Prime Minister has directed that two rescue planes be sent immediately to assist our citizens. The harsh pictures of the assault on our citizens in Amsterdam will not be overlooked.

“Prime Minister Netanyahu views the horrifying incident with utmost gravity and demands that the Dutch government and security forces take vigorous and swift action against the rioters, and ensure the safety of our citizens.”

The National Security Council told the Israeli public currently in Amsterdam to refrain from moving in the street and remain in their hotel rooms, avoid externalizing Israeli and Jewish symbols, and inform the local police immediately of any unusual incident.

The NSC recommends that those who can move up their flight back to Israel do so.

Incoming Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar commented on the situation and wrote on X, “We are in contact with the authorities in the Netherlands about the serious events there. Any Israeli or Jew who is currently in distress or has information and location about a violent event that is currently taking place – please contact the emergency hotline: 0097225303155.”

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit stated, “Following the severe and violent incidents against Israelis in Amsterdam, with the direction of the political echelon, and in accordance with a situational assessment, the IDF is preparing to immediately deploy a rescue mission with the coordination of the Dutch government.”

The mission will be deployed using cargo aircraft and include medical and rescue teams. The IDF Homefront Command will lead the rescue mission with the cooperation of various IDF directorates, branches, and Israeli security authorities.

MK Almog Cohen (Otzma Yehudit) said that he spoke with Israel’s Ambassador to the Netherlands, Ephraim Modi, who informed him that many police forces had been sent to the scenes of the violence.

“I call on the fans to stay in safe places and avoid risking their lives,” Cohen wrote.

Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett issued a call on authorities to act immediately to prevent the loss of lives.

MK Boaz Bismuth wrote on social media site X, “A shocking pogrom is happening right now in Amsterdam. I am receiving calls and messages from people who are in Amsterdam, who say that the Dutch authorities are not helping them at all and are not taking action to control the situation.”

“Jews are forced to barricade themselves and hide while the violence continues to rage in the streets. This event is a reminder that hatred of Jews is alive and kicking in the heart of Europe. The Dutch authorities must apply a policy of zero tolerance and arrest the rioters – now!” added Bismuth.

Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, said, “We are receiving very disturbing reports of extreme violence against Israelis and Jews on the streets of Holland. There is a pogrom currently taking place in Europe in 2024.”

“These are the true faces of the supporters of the radical terrorism we are fighting. The western world needs to wake up now!!”

“This is the time when the UN should immediately and clearly condemn the violence of the Palestinians and their supporters. The Dutch authorities must take decisive action against terrorism now,” stated Danon.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir responded to the attacks in Amsterdam and said: “Fans who went to see a soccer game encountered antisemitism and were attacked with unimaginable cruelty just because of their Jewishness and Israeliness.”

He added, “I condemn any attempt to make the victim guilty. This is not only an attack on Jews and Israelis, but a warning sign to all European countries against radical Muslim violence. Today the victims were Israelis, tomorrow it is you Europeans.”

“The authorities will be held accountable for their failure to protect the Israeli citizens. Never again,” he added.

Opposition leader Yair Lapid said, “The scenes from Amsterdam remind us all of Europe’s darkest days. Jews being hunted and beaten on the streets of Europe should be a wake up call for anyone who still needs it about the rise of antisemitism and the dangers of extremism. I call on the government of the Netherlands to find every perpetrator of these hate crimes and bring them to justice.”

The International March of the Living responded to the violence as well, saying, “International March of the Living is shocked and appalled by the severe pogrom that took place last night in Amsterdam. This was a planned and organized attack, carried out by antisemitic rioters and terror supporters, who stabbed, beat, and ran over Israelis throughout the city without interference.”

“This horrific event cannot be condemned with words alone; decisive action is needed to prevent the next attack. The European Union and its member states must strongly condemn the pogrom, bring the perpetrators to justice, and ensure the safety of Israelis and Jews in Europe.”

“Tomorrow marks the 86th anniversary of Kristallnacht, the antisemitic pogroms that broke out all across Germany and Austria that led to the Holocaust – the eventual murder of six million Jews. Yet today Jews continue to face mortal danger all across Europe.”

“History teaches us only too well, the fatal consequences of silence and inaction in the face of unbridled hatred and violence.”

The Chief Prosecutor says he aims to try the ten suspects soon during a fast-track hearing.

According to Dutch news outlet Trouw, de Beukelaer said that the suspects are in custody for “public violence against individuals and groups.” The suspects who were released are suspected of insulting and throwing fireworks.

Police say they have footage of the suspects and are also calling on people to share footage with the police.

“The investigation that we started during the night focuses on suspects who can be seen on the film footage,” De Beukelaer said. “We are also investigating whether there are connections between these suspects, and how they came to these violent actions. We are also investigating whether it was organized,” the chief prosecutor said.

During the conference, Amsterdam Police Chief Peter Holla claimed the police anticipated risks around and after the football match and deployed 800 police officers, which he says is exceptional for Amsterdam.

There were serious assaults on Maccabi supporters with ‘hit-and-run’ actions. It is not known exactly how many. He states that there were fights on both sides and fireworks were set off.

As far as Holla knows, there were no hostage-takings or kidnappings and there are currently no problems with public order in the city.

Amsterdam Mayor Femke Halsema also addressed the press on Friday and said: “Amsterdam looks back on a pitch-black night.”

The mayor said that she could not answer all the questions at the press conference because there was still uncertainty. She announced that an independent investigation would be conducted into the incident.

The Foreign Ministry has updated that it is unaware of any more cases of uncontacted Israelis in Holland following the attacks on Israeli soccer fans in Amsterdam.

Police spokeswoman Mireille Beentjes told De Telegraaf that she was aware of officers voicing “moral objections” to being deployed to protect Jewish institutions and that the police force had no “strict policies” forcing officers to protect such sites.

“We take moral objections into account when creating schedules. But if there’s an urgent task, you will be deployed, whether you want to or not,” she said. “You are expected to behave professionally. Others shouldn’t notice anything.”

Among the sites some officers refused to be stationed near is the Dutch National Holocaust Museum in Amsterdam.

According to the Center for Information and Documentation on Israel, antisemitic incidents in Holland rose about 800% in the aftermath of the Hamas massacre of October 7th, 2023.

Local Authorities Ignored Warnings of Imminent Attacks on Israelis

November 8, 2024 @ 6:30 am ET The Yeshiva World – Israel’s Diaspora Affairs Ministry revealed on Friday morning that Dutch security officials had received three separate warnings about the possibility of attacks against Israelis, including a warning about violent protests, harming an individual fan who is an Israeli Border Police officer, and a warning that Arabs were planning to raid the Leonardo Hotel where Israelis were staying.

The ministry said that the warnings were sent to Dutch security forces who were responsible for the security of the fans by the Shin Bet and the Prime Minister’s Office. The Border Police officer was also informed of the threat by Israeli security officials.

“Unfortunately, the local forces failed in their mission of protecting Israeli soccer fans,” the Diaspora Affairs Ministry stated: “As of 3:30 a.m., we have transferred additional information from the networks which are assisting the security forces.”

POGROM IN AMSTERDAM! Hundreds Of Arabs Attack Jews In Coordinated Jihad; Jews Run Over, Stabbed, Thrown In Canal
November 8, 2024 @ 4:05 am ET The Yeshiva World – Hundreds of Israeli soccer fans were lynched by Arabs in the Netherlands where they had gathered to watch Maccabi Tel Aviv soccer team play against Ajax in Amsterdam on Thursday evening.

The attack was coordinated beforehand, with hundreds of Arabs waiting to attack Jews after the match at train stations, hotels, and casinos. About 3,000 Israelis had flown to the Netherlands for the game. Israeli security officials had warned Dutch authorities about a planned attack and were ignored.

Jews were run over by cars, stabbed, beaten, and coerced into shouting: “Free Palestine” in Arabic – “Frei Palestine.” In at least one case, an Israeli was thrown into a canal and forced to yell “Free Palestine” before he was extracted from the water.

Many of the Arabs filmed their attacks and posted them on social media, showing Jews being beaten and humiliated. Photos of stolen Israeli passports are also circulating on social media.

A number of Israelis were reported as missing and unreachable, though everyone has since been accounted for. Other Israelis reported that Arabs tried to abduct Jews.

The Dutch police were nowhere to be found. One Israeli told Kan News: “There were no police around at the end of the game and Arabs were waiting near the train station to attack Israelis. The police began intervening only 30-45 minutes after the attacks began and only after Arabs began throwing firecrackers at people and into buildings.”

An Israeli who identified himself as Dan said that as Israelis walked from the central train station on the main street, they were attacked by groups of 10 to 15 Arabs waiting on every block, who beat them with sticks. The situation continued for over an hour before the police arrived.

“They were waiting on every street corner, some on motorbikes, and after asking us where we were from, tried to block our way or run us over,” another Israeli said. “If you didn’t answer them, they started beating you up. Within seconds more people join in. Me and my friend were captured a number of times, I can barely walk.”

“No one offered to help us but we will not go to hospital. I don’t trust anyone here,” he said. “The police beat us with their batons because they were afraid of the pro-Palestinians. We are now in the hotel and outside, cars and motorbikes drive by taking pictures.”

Israel’s Channel 12 News reported that a Telegram group for cab drivers in the Netherlands [many Muslims in European cities are cab drivers] was used to coordinate the lynchings of Israeli soccer fans, with group members sharing locations of Israelis and videos of violent attacks. One group member wrote: “Hang Palestinian flags around the city, they will come there like rats.”

Group members justified the rioters: “Baby killers. Jews are cancer, baby killers have no rights.”

Israel’s Diaspora Affairs Ministry revealed on Friday morning that Dutch security officials had received three separate warnings about the possibility of attacks against Israelis, including a warning about violent protests, harming an individual fan who is an Israeli Border Police officer, and a warning that Arabs were planning to raid the Leonardo Hotel where Israelis were staying.

Ynet quoted an Israeli as saying: “I finished a four-month reserve in Gaza, and what I experienced here is no less scary. There is a war out here. They ran over me and pulled a knife on me. I am slightly injured, but I am not ready to receive treatment here, only in Israel. We were ambushed. I saw with my own eyes children who were caught in explosions. They are everywhere. No police, complete chaos. Everything was pre-planned. The police here abandoned us. Every fourth person walking the street is a Muslim who came to attack Jews. I’m with hundreds of other Jews in a hotel, the police don’t allow us to leave.”

Israel’s newly appointed Chief Rabbanim, HaRav Dovid Yosef and HaRav Kalman Bar paskened that El Al can fly to Amsterdam on Shabbos to rescue the Israelis. The heter will be re-evaluated based on hourly situational assessments.

Israel’s Transportation Ministry instructed El Al and Israir to add three flights to Amsterdam to rescue Israelis in addition to the three regularly scheduled flights. Israelis whose passports were stolen or lost will be allowed to board the flights without passports.

The IDF’s Home Front Command prepared to launch a rescue mission, “with the cooperation of various IDF directorates, branches, and Israeli security authorities,” the IDF said in a statement. It was later determined that IDF rescue flights were not needed, with civilian flights sufficing to handle the situation.

As of noon on Friday (Israeli time), Dutch police had arrested 62 Muslim perpetrators.

Army Radio reported that the first Israeli rescue plane took off in the early morning hours, with a small and initial rescue team from the Home Front Command, which will arrive first in Amsterdam to assess the situation.

In the next two hours, if necessary, another rescue team will take off with an additional Air Force plane – which includes dozens of people – most of them medical personnel and some security personnel.

The Home Front Command stated that it is prepared to receive up to dozens of injured victims. The national rescue unit of the Home Front Command is also preparing for a scenario in which there is no clear situation and forces will need to locate injured individuals whose whereabouts and condition are unknown.

Forces are also preparing to go to the hospitals in the Netherlands and to accompany injured individuals on air travel.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s office reported on Friday morning that he spoke with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof and emphasized the utmost importance of the Dutch government ensuring the safety of all Israelis in the Netherlands, including those injured and affected by the events.

Netanyahu noted that he views the planned antisemitic attack against Israeli citizens with great seriousness and requested to enhance security for the Jewish community in the Netherlands.

Schoof later condemned the attack. “I followed the news from Amsterdam with disgust,” he wrote on X.

Also, Israelis claimed that stun grenades were thrown at apartments where they lived.

“The hotel owner refused to give us shelter. Only thanks to a group of young Dutch people who intervened and called the police did we manage to escape.”

Horrifying evidence also about Israelis who hid in attics in the city.

Many of the Israelis said that their passports were stolen.

“Ten people came at me and my partner with pepper spray. She ran into an apartment she doesn’t know and they all ran after me,” one of them wrote.

“I hid in a boat in the river for over an hour, in the cold of 5 degrees, while pretending to be a corpse until the police rescued me. They pass in convoys of dozens of vehicles, watching and looking for someone to murder.’

Another fan said: “We arrived at the hotel, they almost kidnapped us in their car”, and another tweeted: “An event that will scar me mentally for life. 30 Palestinians on my back.’

“We ran away from thousands of Muslims and some Israelis entered KFC while the police were out in small numbers and did not know how to handle the event. They didn’t bring a doctor to everyone who marked there because ‘there is no way to help you’. The Muslims tried to run over, kidnap, beat and murder.’

The Israeli government has reversed its decision to send an IDF rescue mission to the Netherlands following an organized attack on Israeli soccer fans by anti-Israel rioters in Amsterdam.

The Prime Minister’s Office announced that, after assessing the situation and based on officials’ recommendations, “it was decided that sending a professional rescue mission to the Netherlands is unnecessary.”

The military confirmed the decision, stating, “no IDF delegation will go to Amsterdam, as directed by the political leadership.”

Efforts will instead focus on arranging civilian flights to bring Israelis home, the PMO added.

“I told the Prime Minister that my order of priorities is fixed – the State of Israel, the IDF and the defense system, and only after that comes everything else, including my personal future,” he said.

Gallant claimed: “These dismissals come as a result of a dispute over three issues – my firm stance that every young man should serve in the IDF.”

“A discriminatory and corrupt law must not be allowed to pass in the Israeli Knesset,” he said in reference to the issue of haredi recruitment to the IDF.

The second issue that Gallant believes led to his dismissal is “our moral and ethical obligation to return our sons and daughters – by virtue of my role and my experience – I state that this is achievable. It is possible to return the hostages, it involves compromises, some of them painful, the State of Israel will know how to meet these compromises.”

“There will be no atonement for the [failure to secure the] release of the hostages. This will be a Mark of Cain on whoever will lead the policy,” he added.

The third reason, according to Gallant, is “the need to learn lessons and find out the truth in a state commission of inquiry. I have been responsible for the security system for the past two years, for the successes and for the failures.”

“Throughout my years in the water, underwater, in the air, and on land, I have learned that it is obligatory to navigate using a compass. In times of darkness like now, I call on the elected officials to do so. It is ethically and morally correct. I wish to salute the families of the hostages, the bereaved families, the soldiers, and the wounded. I salute you,” Gallant concluded.

Netanyahu said he no longer had trust in Gallant’s management of Israel’s military operations, which include an ongoing war in Gaza and Lebanon.

* Born in 1955 in the Israeli coastal city of Ashkelon, Katz was drafted into the military in 1973 and served as a paratrooper, leaving the service in 1977. He explained that “different opinions in open debates, as anyone who knows me can attest to, are my way of holding discussions and consultations, and making decisions. Everyone knows that. However, the increasingly wide crisis of confidence between myself and the Defense Minister had become public knowledge, and that crisis is hindering the continued proper administration of the military campaign.”

“I am not the only one with this opinion; in both the Government and the Security Cabinet, the majority of the members of which, virtually all members, share the feeling that this state of affairs cannot continue,” he noted.

“In view of the above, I have decided today to remove the Defense Minister from his post. In his stead, I have decided to appoint Minister Israel Katz to this position. Israel Katz has proven his abilities and has made a contribution to national security as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Finance, Minister of Intelligence for five years, and equally important, as a long-standing member of the State Security Cabinet,” Netanyahu declared.

“Israel Katz brings to the table an impressive combination of rich experience and executive capabilities. He is known as a man of action who combines responsibility with reserved decisiveness, all important qualities for driving a military campaign,” he said.

He further stated that former Minister Gideon Sa’ar would take Minister Katz’s place as Foreign Minister. “Also, I have spoken today with Minister Gideon Sa’ar and proposed that he join the coalition along with his faction and serve as Minister of Foreign Affairs. As a member of the Government and Security Cabinet for many years, Gideon Sa’ar will bring to the table much experience and consideration in the areas of policy and security, and will be a significant addition to our leadership team.”

“Gideon Saar’s addition and the addition of his faction will increase the stability of the coalition and the government, important factors at any time, and especially important in time of war. I am convinced that these steps will reinforce the Government and the Security Cabinet, transforming them into bodies that work cooperatively and harmoniously for the security of the State of Israel, for the citizens of Israel, and for our victory,” he said.

Gallant stated in response, “The security of the State of Israel always was, and will always remain my life’s mission.”

Incoming Defense Minister Israel Katz said, “I thank Prime Minister Netanyahu for the trust he placed in me in appointing me to the position of minister of defense. I accept this responsibility with a sense of mission and a deep commitment to the security of the State of Israel and its citizens.”

“We will work together to advance the defense establishment to victory against our enemies and to achieve the goals of the war: the return of all the hostages as the most important mission, the destruction of Hamas in Gaza, the defeat of Hezbollah in Lebanon, the curbing of Iranian aggression and the safe return of the residents of the north and south to their home,” he added.

The move was welcomed by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who said, “The prime minister did well to remove him from his position.” Ben-Gvir claimed that “it is not possible to achieve absolute victory” with Gallant as Defense Minister.

On the other hand, opposition figures condemned Gallant’s firing, Democrats chairman Yair Golan called on the public to “take to the streets” in protest.

The IDF removed Kroizer from combat duty to a reservist unit for elected public officials, ending his current reserve service. The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said in response, “The case was investigated and it has been decided to end the reserve service of the person in question.”

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir blasted the decision, “The IDF’s decision to remove from reserve service MK Kroizer from Otzma Yehudit, who fought valiantly since the outbreak of the war and is now in Lebanon, only because of pressure from the Haaretz newspaper, is a shame and disgrace.”

“The fact that the IDF panics following queries from the newspaper whose owner considers Hamas terrorists to be ‘freedom fighters’ is outrageous and worrying. I expect the Chief of Staff and the head of the Personnel Directorate to come to their senses, and strengthen MK Kroizer who fights against the terrorists both from the Knesset and on the lines.”

MK Kroizer himself responded to the decision and said, “Yes. I was dismissed from reserve service. And you know why? Because of an inquiry by the Haaretz newspaper (whose publisher last week called the Hamas terrorists ‘freedom fighters’) asking why a photo of me from Lebanon was published.”

MK and former member of the War Cabinet Benny Gantz called on the IDF to reconsider the removal of MK Kroizer.

“Discipline in the IDF is important, and the photograph of MK Kroizer in Lebanon is a mistake that needs clarification and possibly disciplinary punishment. At the same time, in these days when we do not have enough soldiers, and the fighting spirit is so important, the removal of an elected official, who serves as an example and chooses to go out and fight, sends the wrong message. US to Deploy B-52s, Warships to Middle East as Iran Threatens ‘Crushing Response’ Against Israel

The planned assault is expected to involve a substantial number of drones and ballistic missiles, reportedly deployed from pro-Iranian militias based in Iraq. According to the report, the use of Iraqi territory could be a strategic move by Iran, allowing it to maintain plausible deniability while avoiding direct repercussions from Israel on Iranian soil.

Iran’s approach would involve leveraging its allied militias to conduct the attacks, a tactic often used to obscure Tehran’s direct involvement while still advancing its regional agenda. The report suggests that this approach may aim to preemptively deter Israel from targeting Iran’s own strategic assets, a step Israel has taken previously in response to rising threats.

One year later: 12,000 injured soldiers in Gaza and Lebanon

The Defense Ministry has published figures regarding the number of new cases in the rehabilitation department.

Oct 29, 2024, 1:38 PM (GMT+2) Israel National News – One year into the Swords of Iron war, the Rehabilitation Division of the Ministry of Defense reports that since the war broke out on October 7, some 12,000 wounded and injured have been admitted to the Rehabilitation Department.

Of these, 93% are men, 66% are reservists, 51% are between the ages of 18 and 30. Fourteen percent (14%) of the wounded are classified as moderately-severely injured, 377 of them with head injuries, of which 23 suffered severe injuries that required the completion of the skull with the aid of a 3D printer; 308 with eye injuries, of whom 12 lost their sight and required a prosthesis, 104 with spinal injuries, and about 60 amputees to whom an advanced and innovative prosthesis was adapted that conforms to their lifestyle.

In addition, 5,200 (43%) of the wounded developed various mental reactions (anxieties, depressions, adjustment difficulties and post-traumatic stress and more). On average, 1,000 wounded from the ongoing war are admitted each month, and in addition, some 500 new applications were admitted for recognition from past events.

Some 1,500 wounded were wounded twice during the fighting. Some 900 new wounded have been evacuated to hospitals since the ground operation began in Lebanon – a 1.5-fold increase over September.

In the past year, the department has absorbed three times as many young casualties under the age of 30, who constitute 51% of the war’s casualties, while until October 6, 2023, about 50% of the IDF casualties were middle aged compared to 8% of the young casualties under the age of 30. Rehabilitative measures are tailored to the young wounded with emphasis on assistance in returning to the educational circle, vocational training and vocational rehabilitation.

As part of the process, ten rehabilitative farms were established to help the wounded create a daily routine, and are spread throughout the country. The farms were established in cooperation with the Israel Defense Forces Wounded Veterans Organization. At the farms, body and soul workshops, discussion circles and agricultural activities are held. In the future, activities will be held for family members as well.

In order to allow the wounded to recuperate and their injuries to heal, and in order to be able to focus on recovery – the policy of “rehabilitation before bureaucracy” in conjunction with the Israel Veterans Organization is being continued. The patients who are admitted to the division receive immediate medical and psychological treatment and financial support. Physical casualty boards will be deferred for one year from the date of injury, while mental casualty boards will be deferred for two years, at the recommendation of the experts. This is to allow the mental state of the casualties to stabilize and crystallize. According to the data, the average annual cost of the basket of treatment and economic support for a war casualty is about 150,000 shekels.

According to estimates in the Rehabilitation Department, by the year 2030 there will be 100,000 IDF veterans, 50% of whom are mental health patients. In order to prepare for the number of casualties, the Rehabilitation Division has established a Customer Service Division, which, alongside improving the technological and digital response, will assist in simplifying the bureaucracy for IDF veterans. In the coming week, another media campaign will be launched to make the rights and services available to the wounded more accessible.

October 7 genocide: MKs submit bill for prosecution of Hamas Nukhba terrorists By YAKI ADAMKER

This step has been previously avoided due to legal challenges and possible international ramifications.

OCTOBER 28, 2024 – A new bill submitted by the Chair of the Constitution Committee, Religious Zionist Party MK Simcha Rothman, and Yisrael Beytenu MK Yulia Malinovsky will define the October 7 massacre carried out by Hamas as genocide.

By defining the October 7 massacre carried out by Hamas and other entities against the Jewish people and the State of Israel as genocide, it will fall under specific definitions and special conditions. The bill also set special conditions for the imprisonment and prosecution of terrorists who participated in the October 7 massacre.

This step has been previously avoided due to legal challenges and possible international ramifications.

The proposal states, “The complexity of the events, their unprecedented scale, and the unique nature of the crimes committed requires a unique legal approach. The regular judicial system is not equipped to handle such a scale of severe crimes carried out simultaneously by hundreds of perpetrators.” It further states that “the unique nature of these crimes” necessitates “expertise and a distinctive legal approach.”

The bill proposed by Rothman and Malinovsky stipulates that Nukhba terrorists will be designated as “special unlawful combatants,” enabling the prolonged detention of anyone who was directly or indirectly involved in the massacre— be it through its execution, planning, conspiracy, or incitement — even if the terrorist does not currently pose an immediate threat.

Additionally, a Prosecution Committee will be established, consisting of three members: a representative of the Justice Minister, a representative of the Defense Minister, and a representative of the Foreign Minister. The three members will have the authority to order the filing of an indictment against anyone who participated in the October 7 massacre.

Further, the indictment will be submitted to a special court that will be established, comprising up to 15 judges. Eligible to serve in this court will be individuals qualified to serve as Supreme Court justices or legal experts who are not Israeli citizens or residents whom the Justice Minister, in consultation with the Foreign Minister, has determined possess the appropriate knowledge and experience for the role.

The proposed law stipulates that the special court will convene with a panel of three judges and in proceedings where multiple defendants are charged under a single indictment, with five judges. The court will also have the authority to impose the death penalty in certain clear-cut cases.

According to the proposal, the Justice Minister will establish regulations, with the approval of the Constitution Committee, regarding procedures and rules of evidence in proceedings before the special court.

A ‘swift and effective legal response’

This will consider, among other things, “the need to protect victims and their families, to facilitate the hearing of evidence in cases with multiple defendants, to minimize interim and preliminary procedures, to ensure the transparency of the proceedings and make them accessible to various audiences domestically and internationally, and to conduct the proceedings efficiently in order to achieve justice.”

Rothman and Malinovsky wrote in their proposal that it is intended “to provide an appropriate, swift, and effective legal response to the events of October 7 while upholding principles of justice and international law.”

“The proposed mechanism balances the need for quick and efficient handling with the protection of defendants’ rights, allowing the State of Israel to adequately address the unique legal challenges presented by these events.”

MK Malinovsky, one of the proposal’s initiators, recently met twice with Justice Minister Yariv Levin and intends to meet with officials from the State Attorney’s Office and the judicial system.

“This is a national, not a legal, event. It will require all of us to set everything aside and address it with clean hands. This proposal serves as an initial framework and a statement of intent, and it may change further. The aim is to complete the legislation within the current Knesset session,” she claimed.

Finance Minister Calls For Complete Sovereignty Over Gaza

Kan News reported that Israel is maintaining silence about the damage caused in Iran to the 20 targeted sites but sources familiar with the matter have stated that significant damage was inflicted on Iran’s air defense systems and ballistic missile production capabilities. Ynet reported that IRGC command facilities incurred significant damage as well.

The Saudi Elaph site reported that Israel hit an important factory used for the production of Iranian ballistic missiles. A source knowledgeable about the details claimed that Israel targeted a solid fuel production plant used to propel the ‘Khyber’ and ‘Qassem’ missiles, known for being fired towards Israel in the Iranian assault on October 1st.

The source emphasized that this factory is considered the “backbone of Iran’s missile industry” and claimed that “Israel rendered it inoperable.”

Reports indicate that four buildings at the covert military facility located in Parchin near Tehran were damaged. The facility is regarded as relatively new and advanced, and it is believed to have been used by Iran as part of its nuclear program.

According to the same source, about 20 “planetary mixers” [a key component in fuel production for ballistic missiles] were destroyed, each valued at least two million dollars. Experts familiar with Iran’s missile industry told the Saudi site that it would take at least two years to restore the factory to operation.

Channel 12 News reported that more details are expected to emerge later, but for now, it can be concluded that Iran’s air defense capabilities have been damaged to an extent that will take years to restore.

The impact on Iran’s air defense system allows the Israeli Air Force unprecedented operational freedom over Iran will facilitate further strikes in the future.

The attack also caused significant damage to Iran’s production capabilities of ground-to-ground missiles—damage that will take the regime years to recover from.

“This is one of Israel’s most successful operations to date,” a senior Israeli official told Ynet. “All designated targets were hit and damaged. It was a show of strength that has bolstered deterrence.”

“The logic here is not just deterrence but also securing an advantage should further rounds of blows arise,” the official continued. “Iran’s ground-to-ground missile production capabilities have been disrupted for a considerable period, a significant achievement. After this operation, Iran is left weaker, with compromised defenses and diminished production capacity. We’ve created new strategic room for action while enhancing deterrence.”
