Israel’s Judicial Coup By Michael Widlanski
March 30, 2023 – Israel’s recent “judicial reform crisis” has deep roots going back decades. Not surprisingly, they originate within the Israeli Left.
Israel is teaching us all a new lesson in modern western democracy as checks and balances are thrown out the window. Western media will not tell you that only in Israel do Supreme Court judges appoint themselves and write their own checks and balances.
The real revolution in Israel took place in 1992 when then-Israeli Chief Justice Aharon Barak began a one-man legal uprising, assigning himself and his judicial colleagues the power to rewrite or veto any decision, policy, or appointment made by Israel’s elected leaders.
Who elected Justice Barak and who gave him these vast powers? He did.
Until the 1990s, Israeli Knesset members chose the Supreme Court, but then Barak convinced the elected leaders that a committee — with a built-in veto of three sitting Supreme Court judges — should henceforward pick all judges.
This was not a written law, but it became a tradition etched in Mediterranean marble, an unwritten veto carved in stone more than the Ten Commandments God gave Moses before Barak gave himself the role of Moses.

The “Captains of Chaos” triumphed in Israel. They have already won in America. Op-ed.Mar 30, 2023, 8:36 AM (GMT+3) – It is not for nothing that the prelude to the book, “BANNED: How Facebook Enables Militant Islamic Jihad” (Aug. 31, 2016, WND Books), opens thusly:
“The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those who speak it.”- George Orwell.
If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” – Sun Tzu (circa 544-496 BC) THE ART OF WAR
It is with these universal truths in the forefront, freedom-loving peoples must view and internalize the (literal) fires burning within Israel and America; the twin pillars of Western Civilization.
This national tear-down is ongoing – despite the fact that PM Netanyahu, a “serial accommodator“, caved to the dictates of “mob rule”: ceasing the mandated judicial overhaul, let the electoral wishes of the majority Jewish public be damned!
It is along this dangerous continuum that the totalitarian torch-bearers for Marxist-type rule stage manage their operations. In Israel, judicial reform is the smokescreen and bugaboo utilized for their end-game. The demonstrating elites in Israel are the foil for these real anarchists.
Hell-bent on imposing their will, they must obliterate freedom-seeking nation-states who want no part of their vicious rule – and they utilize slash and burn tactics to beat them into submission.
In this regard, it is imperative to judiciously analyze the building blocks to the destruction taking place in the historical and Biblical Jewish Homeland, Israel.
Haredi couple brutally beaten by protesters in Tel Aviv Shimon Cohen
A haredi couple was driving through Tel Aviv on Sunday when protesters surrounded their car and severely beat the husband. The police have yet to contact the couple, and the incident is being ignored in mainstream media.
Mar 30, 2023, 2:18 PM (GMT+3) – A haredi couple who were driving through Tel Aviv on Sunday night found themselves in the midst of an anti-judicial reform demonstration. The demonstrators surrounded the car and proceeded to attack them, lynching the husband. Israel National News spoke with the victim’s wife about the traumatic incident and the media’s silence.
“We were in Tel Aviv. We wanted to go home. We didn’t know that there was a protest. There were no police there. We wanted to turn left with another car, and we found ourselves in the middle of the rage,” she recalls. “They banged on the car and shouted curses at us. There was no option to drive in reverse, and my husband stopped when he saw that the protesters were blocking the road.
When he stopped, they surrounded us again, banged on the car, and tried to break the windows. The whole time I was screaming so people would see that we were just a lost couple and not someone who wants to cause harm,” she states. “My husband said he’ll open the door so they won’t break the window. We didn’t do anything. What do you want? They began beating him up. They got into the back of the car since the back seat was folded down. They beat him, I saw the blood, and he told me, ‘take me to the hospital. I can’t see out of this eye, and I’m going to faint.’ I cried. I asked them to let us go, and they just continued.”
She points out that in a video circulated on the internet, one of the protesters can be heard saying, “pull out their motor.” “Why? Do you want him to bleed to death? What did we do to you? You already beat him up. And then I begged one of the demonstrators who wanted to come help. He got into the car and told me to dial the police so they could rescue us. I called, but the police said they had no officers at the scene and that I should go to the hospital. Somehow we made it. The police were not involved. Later, they said they would come to file a report, but they didn’t.
