Could October 7 have been prevented? IDF general’s urgent warning to military chief – report Jerusalem Post
Saar claims that he wrote in the letter that this opportunity was created due to internal conflict in Israel, as well as the level of readiness of the IDF at the time.
5 March, 2024 – The head of the research division of the Intelligence Branch of the IDF, Brigadier-General Amit Sa’ar, revealed in an interview with KAN News on Tuesday that he wrote an emergency warning letter about a potential attack on Israel that was meant to be sent to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and members of the national security cabinet after Simchat Torah.
According to his report, Sa’ar warned in his letter that Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah recognized an opportunity to attack Israel, according to information gathered by the Intelligence Division. The warning, which was written just before October 7, was reportedly able to reach the head of the IDF Intelligence Branch, and IDF Chief of staff Herzi Halevi.
Additionally, Sa’ar claims that he wrote in the letter that this opportunity was created due to internal conflict in Israel, as well as the level of readiness of the IDF at the time.
The head of the research division also added in his letter that senior Iranian officials also pressured Hamas, stating that the moment to attack Israel had arrived. The letter did not reach the Prime Minister and other officials before October 7.
After reading the letter, the Head of the Intelligence Branch and the Chief of Staff gave Saar permission to send the letter to the Prime Minister; however, the October 7 massacre occurred, and the letter was never sent. With that, it was also reported that throughout 2023, four separate letters were sent from the Intelligence Branch, with the last one being sent in July.
Why the Dome of the Rock Is the Perfect Monument to Islam [8:07] David Wood
Mar 1, 2024 – David Wood explores the history and message of Islam’s third holiest site: The Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
[Ed.: The Moslem presence on The Temple Mount is a constant blasphemy of God’s Name – by the Jewish People. We placed them there (read: Moshe Dayan, Y”Sh,) and have enabled their spitting in God’s face ever since then. The rock shown in this video is the exact spot that Avram was about to offer Isaac. This rock is significant to Judaism, but has nothing to do with Islam. Yet, they built ”The Dome of the Rock” with our rock featured in its center. Each day that this disgrace continues is a mark against the Jewish People upstairs, where it’s counted. We might therefore change it’s name to: “The thorn in our side” – providing us with the daily pains that we consequently endure.]
1 seriously wounded in stabbing attack in Samaria Israel National News
Soldier in serious condition after stabbing attack at the Yitzhar Junction near Huwara. Attacker neutralized.
Mar 5, 2024, 3:48 PM (GMT+2) – One person was wounded in a terrorist stabbing attack at the Yitzhar Junction in Samaria this afternoon (Tuesday). The attacker was neutralized.
The victim, who was identified as an IDF soldier, was seriously wounded. A Magen David Adom (MDA) team provided medical assistance at the scene before evacuating the victim to Beilinson Medical center.
The IDF stated, “A short while ago, a terrorist carried out a stabbing attack at the Yitzhar Junction. IDF soldiers operating in the area killed the terrorist in response. The soldiers are continuing scans in the area.”
Samaria Regional Council chairman Yossi Dagan said in response to the attack, “There was a miracle here, but we cannot rely on miracles. Unfortunately, the statements of officials in the government and senior officials of the security system are pushing for easing restrictions ahead of Ramadan, for the release of administrative detainees, that is, criminal terrorists who want to murder Jews, for the removal of security barriers, and the reduction of offensive activity in preparation for Ramadan, only serve to give support to terrorism.”
“What almost completely stopped the terrorism in Judea and Samaria from October 7th was the IDF’s determined offensive activity in the nests of terrorism, and those who did not understand this on October 7th are putting the State of Israel at risk. This attack ended in a miracle, it could have ended differently,” said Dagan.

National Security Council opposes victims suing PA Israel National News
The National Security Council added a paragraph to a law regarding reparations for victims of terror, saying that the PA can only be forced to pay from money Israel had frozen already.
Mar 6, 2024, 12:35 PM (GMT+2) – The Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee voted Tuesday to approve a law put forward by MK Yitzhak Pindrus (UTJ) for its second and third readings.
The proposed law would allow victims of terror and their families to file civil claims against those who pay or give compensation for committing acts of terror, and to receive damages for as much as 10 million shekels for each victim who was murdered and 5 million for anyone permanently disabled.
During the deliberations, the National Security Council added a paragraph to the law according to which in the case of the Palestinian Authority, the damages could only be collected from funds that Israel has frozen anyway.
In response, Mk Tzvi Succot (Religious Zionism) called to cancel the paragraph, and presented his own revision along with MK Yuli Edelstein (Likud). The Committee will therefore meet again Wednesday morning to discuss the paragraph in question.
“It makes no sense that in the fight against terror, there should be a paragraph that so dramatically changes the existing situation, in which the Finance Minister can deduct or freeze funds, and to limit the opportunities to collect funds for victims of terror,” Succot stated.

Around 3,500 housing units approved in Judea and Samaria Hezki Baruch
‘Our enemies seek to harm us and weaken our hold on the land, and our message is exactly the opposite,’ Finance Min. Smotrich says.
Mar 6, 2024, 12:32 PM (GMT+2) – The Supreme Planning Council in Judea and Samaria on Wednesday approved the construction of approximately 3,500 new housing units in Maaleh Adumim, Efrat, and Kedar.
Symbolically, the meeting was held exactly one year after the responsibility for civil affairs in Judea and Samaria was transferred to Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich (Religious Zionism), as part of his role as a minister in the Defense Ministry. During this year, a total of 18,515 housing units were approved for construction in Judea and Samaria – the highest number of housing units ever approved in a single year.
Smotrich praised the approval, saying, “This year we did great things for the settlements – this is a good start. Parallel to the approval for the housing units, we are advancing a series of young settlements, land surveys and announcements, security components, and roads in Judea and Samaria, at a scope which is unprecedented.
“Our enemies seek to harm us and weaken our hold on the land, and our message is exactly the opposite: The State of Israel will continue, G-d willing, to flourish and develop in all its areas, and the settlements will continue to grow, thrive, and flourish.
“Today, everyone already understands: Where there is settlement throughout our land, there is security – where there is no settlement, there are monsters of terror which threaten the entire State of Israel. The settlements in Judea and Samaria are the security belt of the entire State of Israel – they are Israel’s shield.
“I thank the Prime Minister, Defense Minister, Strategic Affairs Minister, and the Civil Adinistration and Planning Office for their cooperation,” he concluded.
Gush Etzion Regional Council head Yesha Council chief Shlomo Ne’eman praised the decision, saying, “We applaud you for the approximately 3,500 housing units that were approved today for Maaleh Adumim, Efrat, and Kedar, which is in Gush Etzion.”
“Following many months of delaying the meeting, and especially during these difficult times, the continuation of construction in Judea and Samaria is the most appropriate Zionist response.
“We thank Prime Minister Netanyahu; the Minister of Finance and minister serving in the Defense Ministry, Betzalel Smotrich; Minster of Defense Yoav Gallant; Minister of Settlements Orit Strock; the government ministers; and staff of the Settlement Administration in the Defense Ministry; and the Civil Administration, for placing Judea and Samaria on the high road to rectify the historical injustices and strengthen sovereignty in the region. What remains currently is to approve the additional housing units that are listed. The Yesha Council will continue to work with the minsters and planning authorities to obtain approval for these units so that construction in Judea and Samaria will not cease.”

Depraved: Biden Regime Announces New Aid for Gaza (Invariably Hamas) By Pamela Geller
March 4, 2024 – Instead of uniformly condemning the most barbaric atrocities in modern history, the Biden regime means to reward these savages with aid and a state. Ashamed of US government.
On Friday, President Joe Biden announced that his administration was sending humanitarian aid to Gaza, sort of. Not only are there concerns that such aid will be taken by Hamas, there was confusion as the president said that such aid was being sent to Ukraine, when he really meant Gaza. Many outlets let the mix-up go without informing their readers that the president was referring to one war zone when he meant another. The Hill, for instance, merely put Biden’s remarks in brackets. NBC News and CNN failed to include that quote in their coverage. CBS News cut off the quote just before Biden mistakenly said “Ukraine.” USA Today did mention the mistake, towards the very end of their article on the announcement. He failed to acknowledge that such aid has been stolen by Hamas terrorists in previous instances. There’s also been a focus on the death of civilians lined up to get food (Townhall).

8,000 plaintiffs file lawsuit in District of Columbia demanding permanent defunding of UNRWA AMELIE BOTBOL
“UNRWA is a disaster for both Israel and the Palestinians. In fact, the Palestinians deserve a lot better than UNRWA.” … [Ed.: No, they really don’t. Not by any stretch of the imagination!!]
(March 3, 2024 / JNS) – More than 8,000 plaintiffs, including 1,500 dual American-Israeli citizens and 6,500 Israelis, have filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia demanding permanent defunding of the United Nations Relief and Work Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
The plaintiffs are represented by attorneys Robert J. Tolchin in Brooklyn and Nitsana Darshan-Leitner in Tel Aviv.
“UNRWA is a disaster for both Israel and the Palestinians. In fact, the Palestinians deserve a lot better than UNRWA. They deserve an organization that will not designate them as refugees indefinitely,” Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, founder of Shurat HaDin—Israel Law Center, an Israeli-based civil rights organization that has represented hundreds of terror victims in many lawsuits, told JNS.
“If UNRWA keeps teaching Palestinians that one day they will return to their homes in Tel Aviv, Acre and Haifa, and continue feeding the illusion of the right of return, Palestinians will never have a chance at a better life,” she added.
Netanyahu outraged over Gantz’s unsanctioned U.S. trip – report i24NEWS
The Prime Minister’s Office has reportedly ordered the Israeli embassy in Washington not to take part in coordinating Gantz’s visit
March 03, 2024 – Tensions are simmering within the highest echelons of the Israeli government as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly reacted furiously to an upcoming trip by War Cabinet Minister Benny Gantz to the United States, organized without his prior authorization.
Gantz, slated to engage in critical discussions with prominent U.S. officials, including Vice President Kamala Harris and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, has ignited a political firestorm with his unilateral decision.
The rift between Netanyahu and Gantz, already palpable in recent months, has reached a boiling point as Netanyahu condemns what he perceives as a breach of protocol. Sources close to the prime minister reveal that Netanyahu was blindsided by Gantz’s plans and delivered a stern rebuke during a tense telephone exchange, asserting unequivocally that “Israel has only one prime minister.”
The Prime Minister’s Office has reportedly ordered the Israeli embassy in Washington not to handle the trip, and Ambassador Michael Herzog told not to greet Gantz or accompany him to his meetings.
Despite Netanyahu’s admonishment, Gantz’s office has confirmed the trip’s itinerary, emphasizing his intention to advocate for Israel’s military operations in Gaza, address security challenges in Lebanon, and actively engage in efforts to secure the release of hostages held by terrorist factions.

Biden Regime Abandons Israel: Kamala Harris Calls for Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza for At Least 6 Weeks But Does Not Demand the Release of the Hostage Jews, including American Jews (VIDEO) By Jim Hoft
Mar. 3, 2024 9:40 pm – Kamala Harris spoke Sunday in front of the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama on the Bloody Sunday Anniversary. During her speech, Vice President Kamala Harris called for a ceasefire in Gaza for at least six weeks.
Israel has vowed to continue to fight through Ramadan until the Jewish hostages are released by Hamas. The terror group holds at least 130 Jewish hostages from their barbaric attack on Isreal in October.
Here are a few points to consider when reading Kamala’s remarks.
** It’s evident that the Biden regime believes the news and propaganda coming from Gaza that is entirely filtered by Hamas before its release and is often completely dishonest and manufactured.
** Kamala condemned Hamas and called for self-determination for the Palestinian people. But, polling in Gaza has found that from 68% to 89% of Palestinians support terror attacks on Israel and Jews.
** Kamala called for a mandatory 6-week immediate ceasefire by Israel but DID NOT call for the immediate release of the 130 hostages that were taken during the brutal slaughter of Jews on October 13.
** Kamala repeated the lie that Joe Biden supports Israel. But the Biden regime has gifted Israel’s most dangerous enemy Iran with at least $80 billion dollars since he came into office.
Palestinian Authority, Key to Biden’s Mideast Peace Plan, Commits To Pay $97M a Year to Hamas Andrew Tobin
March 4, 2024 JERUSALEM — As President Joe Biden pushes to empower the Palestinian Authority in the name of Middle East peace, the PA has committed tens of millions of dollars in reward money to terrorists who were killed or captured while carrying out the Oct. 7 terror attack on Israel and the resulting war.
Since Oct. 7, the PA has doubled down on its longstanding “pay for slay” policy, which gives salaries and benefits to Palestinians imprisoned for involvement in violence against Israel and to the families of those killed in “the revolution” against the Jewish state. The policy does not distinguish between terrorists and civilians. But based on Israel Defense Forces estimates of enemy casualties and prisoners, the PA has put itself on the hook for more than $97 million in such payments for more than 13,000 Hamas terrorists in the year following Oct. 7.
The PA has moved to ramp up its spending on terrorism even as the West Bank, where the PA governs, spirals into a historic economic crisis. It’s a stark display of the authority’s priorities that clashes with the Biden administration’s vague plans for a “revamped” PA to govern Gaza—and eventually a Palestinian state that will supposedly lead regional normalization with Israel.
The Israeli government has opposed Biden’s post-war plans, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu saying the PA is little different than Hamas. Brig. Gen. (res.) Yossi Kuperwasser, a former director general of Israel’s Ministry of Strategic Affairs under Netanyahu, told the Washington Free Beacon that a PA-run Gaza would quickly pose a renewed Oct. 7-like threat.

IDF facilitates dozens of air drops of aid into Gaza Israel National News
IDF says over 450 packages of food and medical aid were distributed through 21 airdrops to the Gaza Strip in recent weeks in coordination with Jordan, France, the UAE and Egypt.
Mar 3, 2024, 11:23 AM (GMT+2) – The IDF announced that it has coordinated 21 airdrops of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip over the least few weeks.
“Yesterday (Saturday), In coordination with the IDF, U.S. Central Command and the Royal Jordanian Air Force conducted a combined humanitarian assistance airdrop into Gaza,” the IDF’s Spokesperson’s Unit stated.
“Additionally, over the past few weeks, in cooperation and coordination with several countries; Jordan, France, the UAE and Egypt, more than 450 packages of food and medical aid were distributed through 21 airdrops to the Gaza Strip.”
IDF Spokesperson, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said: “We will continue expanding our humanitarian efforts to the civilian population in Gaza while we fulfill our goals of freeing our hostages from Hamas and freeing Gaza from Hamas.”
[Ed.: We want to be known as the most ethical and humane army in the world. So, we provide food and supplies to our enemies in hopes that the world will consider us ‘team players’. What Happened During Gaza’s Stampede Is Nothing New BY HUGH FITZGERALD
MAR 2, 2024 2:00 PM – Many political leaders, and much of the world’s media, have uncritically accepted Hamas’ claim that the IDF is responsible for the deaths of 104 Gazans on February 29 at a site where a convoy of more on 30 aid trucks was trying to make its way to a distribution point, when thousands of Gazans swarmed over the trucks, trying to loot them and carry off their cargo of food aid: “US blocks Security Council motion blaming Israel for deadly Gaza aid convoy incident,” Times of Israel, March 1, 2024:
“German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said Israel “must fully investigate how the mass panic and shooting could have happened.”
At least the German Foreign Minister did not call, as her French analogue did, for an “independent inquiry.” That means the Germans trust Israel to conduct, by itself, an exhaustive investigation whose results can be trusted.
The White House said on Thursday that the incident in Gaza City was “tremendously alarming,” as Israel shared drone footage of troops’ attempts to disperse the swelling mob, denying responsibility for the mass deaths amid international criticism of its Gaza offensive….
It’s important for everyone to calm down, stop all the excited finger-pointing at the IDF, resist the temptation to jump on the anti-Israel juggernaut, and instead to ask simply for a thorough investigation to be conducted by the Jewish state. Israel doesn’t need to be told to investigate the deaths of Palestinians at the site of the 30 aid trucks that the IDF was escorting to northern Gaza. That investigation is underway. Meanwhile, everyone should wait for the IDF report to be completed, instead of credulously repeating the Hamas version.
Both the White House and State Department expressed horror over what occurred and indicated that they would demand answers from Israel.
“This latest event needs to be thoroughly investigated,” White House spokesperson Olivia Dalton told reporters on Air Force One. “This event underscores the need for… expanded humanitarian aid to make its way into Gaza.”
“Demand answers from Israel”? That is not how you talk about one of your closest allies. What the Bidenites should have said is that “we are waiting to receive a full report on the incident from the IDF. We understand that they are close to completing their investigation.”
Israel Did Not Target Civilians at Aid Distribution Site BY HUGH FITZGERALD
MAR 2, 2024 4:00 PM – Political leaders and the world’s media have claimed that the IDF is responsible for the deaths of 104 Gazans on February 29 at a site where a convoy of more on 30 aid trucks was trying to make its way to a distribution point: “US blocks Security Council motion blaming Israel for deadly Gaza aid convoy incident,” Times of Israel, March 1, 2024:
The US spokesman said the rush for aid showed the situation was “incredibly desperate” in Gaza, where the United Nations has warned of the risk of famine. “People are swarming these trucks because they’re hungry, because they need food, because they need medicine and other assistance,” he said.
But it’s also true, judging by the record over the last 30 years of stampedes leading to mass deaths, that Muslim Arabs show themselves to be particularly susceptible to such panicky behavior.
Speaking in English in a Thursday evening press conference, IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said that troops had fired warning shots in an attempt to disperse the mob of Palestinians [from attacking the IDF soldiers].
“As these vital humanitarian supplies made their way toward Gazans in need, thousands of Gazans [rushed] the trucks, some began violently pushing and trampling other Gazans to death, looting the humanitarian supplies.
“No IDF strike was conducted toward the aid convoy,” Hagari said. “On the contrary, the IDF was there carrying out a humanitarian aid operation, to secure the humanitarian corridor, and allow the aid convoy to reach its distribution point, so that the humanitarian aid could reach Gazan civilians in the north who are in need.”
The IDF spokesperson denied that Israel was blocking the delivery of humanitarian aid. “This humanitarian aid was coordinated by Israel, for the people of Gaza. We want the aid to reach the people of Gaza. We are working around the clock to make this happen. Israel puts no limits on the amount of aid that can go into Gaza,” he said.
Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan accused Israel of targeting civilians in the incident. In separate statements, they called for increased safe passages for humanitarian aid. They also urged the international community to take decisive action to pressure Israel to abide by international law and to reach an agreement for an immediate ceasefire.
Israel did not “target civilians” as a group. As some Gazans moved menacingly toward the IDF soldiers, those soldiers fired warning shots. When some of the Gazans continued toward the soldiers, at that point the IDF did shoot directly at them. The IDF estimates that fewer than ten were killed by being shot. Close to 100 died in the crush of people assaulting the 30 aid trucks.

Israel has reportedly agreed to a temporary cease-fire framework; Hamas expected to respond Sunday
The deal, as it reportedly stands, would include a six-week ceasefire with Hamas releasing hostages considered at risk, according to the U.S. official.
March 2, 2024 – Israel has reportedly agreed to a framework for a temporary cease-fire accompanied by a hostage release in Gaza, following weeks of negotiations.
The Israelis have “more or less accepted” the framework, according to an anonymous senior U.S. official who spoke to The Associated Press Saturday. Talks are expected to continue Sunday in Egypt, where attention is turned to Hamas to see if they will agree to the terms.
The deal, as it reportedly stands, would include a six-week ceasefire with Hamas releasing hostages considered at risk, according to the U.S. official. It would also include increased humanitarian aid for residents of Gaza, according to The Hill.
On Saturday the U.S. joined other countries in air-dropping bundles of aid into Gaza. Hamas is expected to respond to the proposed deal on Sunday, though few details are known.
