No deterrence for Israeli demonstrations   By Ruthie Blum

Even an anti-government advocate’s reasonable request for a security-related pause in the protests is rejected by fellow activists.

(April 9, 2023 / JNS) – In a social-media post on Friday night, Israel Defense Forces Maj. Gen. (res.) Tal Russo urged fellow anti-government activists to skip the demonstrations scheduled for the following evening.

“In light of the difficult events throughout the country, security and police forces are on high alert and deployed in central locations from the Gaza Strip to the northern border,” he tweeted. “I therefore call on my comrades-in-protest against the coup to cancel tomorrow’s countrywide rallies. The situation demands it!”

Russo, who served in various high positions in the IDF and had a brief stint as a Labor Party Knesset member, wrote this plea in the immediate aftermath of the car-ramming in Tel Aviv, which took the life of 35-year-old Italian tourist Alessandro Parini and left a number of others injured. This assault, committed by Yousef Abu Jaber, an Arab Israeli from Kfar Qassem, came mere hours after a separate attack in the Jordan Valley.

In the latter, Palestinian terrorists out for Jewish blood ran a vehicle off the road, riddled its occupants with bullets and fled. British-Israeli sisters Maia and Rina Dee, aged 20 and 15 respectively, were killed instantly. Their mother, Lucy, on the way with her daughters from their home in Efrat to a Passover holiday outing in the north, was critically wounded. Their devastated father, Leo, in a second car, witnessed paramedics’ resuscitation efforts.

Due to the terror wave: IDF soldiers to reinforce police in central cities

The general lockdown of Judea and Samaria will be extended to the end of the Passover holiday on Wednesday night.

Apr 8, 2023, 10:12 PM (GMT+3) – Amid the security escalation, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant decided on Saturday evening to reinforce Police forces in central Israel with IDF soldiers.

At the same time, it was decided not to allow entry to Arabs from Judea and Samaria to the Al Aqsa mosque.

In addition, Minister Gallant decided to extend the general lockdown of Judea and Samaria and the closure of the points of entry from the Gaza Strip until the end of the Passover holiday on Wednesday night. The continuation of the lockdown also includes the immediate cancellation of the civilian steps taken for Ramadan and the prevention of entry to workers.

The steps come after terror attacks in the Jordan Valley and Tel Aviv left three dead on Friday, including two sisters from Efrat. The terrorist who committed the attack in Tel Aviv was an Israeli Arab who worked as a janitor in a middle school in central Israel. The terrorist who committed the attack in the Jordan Valley is still at large.

He also said that the officer was not satisfied with that and informed the resident that his car was impounded and he had to park it on the side of the road. Residents who passed by a short time later were amazed to see the police officer smashing his windows with the helmet he was wearing.

“I couldn’t believe my eyes,” said Yehuda, a resident who passed by. “In front of our eyes, an officer of the Samaria police arrived and smashed 2 windows of the resident’s vehicle. The one who is supposed to protect us and lead the campaign against Arab terrorism, decided to start a campaign against the residents he is supposed to protect. The IDF went crazy and lost its moral compass.”

Italian lawyer Alessandro Parini killed in Tel Aviv attack

All those injured were tourists. Italian PM Meloni: ‘We express solidarity with the people of Israel following the cowardly attack.’

Apr 8, 2023, 9:35 PM (GMT+3)  Alessandro Parini, a 35-year-old resident of Rome, was murdered on Friday night by an Israeli Arab terrorist on the promenade in Tel Aviv. According to the Italian La Repubblica newspaper, Parini worked as a lawyer and was in Tel Aviv on vacation.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed her condolences to the Parini family and emphasized that her solidarity with the people of Israel following the “cowardly attack.”

Israeli Ambassador to Italy, Alon Bar, stated: “It is with a broken heart that we share the message of Minister Tajani, who confirmed that the person killed in the terrorist attack in Tel Aviv is an Italian citizen, Alessandro Parini. We extend our sincere condolences to the victim’s family.”

[Ed.:  Ya, we’re really sorry…! But that’s how it goes, since we enable our enemies to live in our land. After all, we believe in ‘religious freedom’, and that includes musloids, whose religion it is to kill other religions. ‘We’re very sorry,’ but that’s just the way it goes here in the ‘Holy Land’, where everyone can ‘practice’ their religion…We are sorry!  We’re a sorry excuse for a nation.  In 75 years, this is the best we can do.]

Another day in the Jewish homeland   Shalom Pollack

Another day, another terrorist murder. Today it was two sisters dead and their mother in critical condition. Who can digest it?

Apr 7, 2023, 4:37 PM (GMT+3)  – Another day, another Jew murdered in a terrorist attack in the Jewish state, in the Jewish homeland. Today it was two sisters dead and their mother in critical condition. The strongest army in the Mideast and beyond could not prevent it, again.

It wasn’t always this way.

I remember a time when terror attacks were not a daily event and one remembered the few that remained in our memories and consciousness. We would refer to particular attacks and recall all their details. Today only computers can remember. Two sisters today, two brothers last week.and the week before that. who can digest it all?

Long before the inception of the Jewish state, Arabs were killing Jews. It wasn’t about borders, it was about Jews. That has not changed.

This Arab urge to kill Jews preceded their newly discovered identity as “Palestinians” and their flag.

They were Arabs (Muslims) and we were Jews. The roles were clear. Ours was to build and theirs was to destroy and kill. That too has not changed.
