Knesset advances bill to reduce power of the Israel Bar Association

The association “has become a completely political body,” Justice Minister Yair Levin says.

(July 5, 2023 / JNS) – The Knesset plenum on Wednesday passed in a preliminary reading a bill to transfer much of the authority of the Israel Bar Association to a new public council.

Fifty lawmakers voted for the measure while 43 opposed it. The bill, introduced by Likud MK Hanoch Milwidsky, will now go to the Constitution, Law and Justice Committee headed by MK Simcha Rothman for further review.

“Unfortunately, in recent times the Bar Association has become a completely political body, where the membership fee funds are used for political purposes that have nothing to do with the benefit of all lawyers,” Justice Minister Yair Levin said.

THE PA IS NO LONGER VIABLE   by Jason Shvili

July 5, 2023  – Israel should replace the P.A. and take complete control of its territory.

(JNS / Israel Hayom) Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that Israel needs the Palestinian Authority. Sorry, Mr. Prime Minister, but I respectfully disagree. And I don’t disagree with you too often.

The P.A. is an epic failure. It doesn’t work for the Palestinians and it definitely doesn’t work for Israel. The P.A. was created by the Oslo Accords as an interim authority for the Palestinian autonomous areas established by the agreements. Many assumed an independent Palestinian state would eventually replace it, even though the Oslo Accords never guaranteed statehood to the Palestinians.

Indeed, if anyone wants proof of why the Palestinians cannot be allowed to have a state of their own in the foreseeable future, they need look no further than the P.A.

For one thing, the P.A. can’t even control the territory under its jurisdiction. In 2007, it lost control of the Gaza Strip to Hamas. Now, it is rapidly losing control of its territory in Samaria. Jenin and Nablus, the two largest cities in Samaria under P.A. control, are being taken over by terrorists. New terrorist groups like Lion’s Den and Al-Ayyash have emerged to challenge the P.A.’s authority. By the P.A.’s own admission, the Iranians have already established a foothold in their territory—a development that is extremely dangerous for Israel.

Crumbling P.A. control in Samaria has led to increased terrorist attacks like the recent one near the Israeli community of Eli. The P.A.’s failure to control its territory has forced Israel to make increasingly frequent raids into P.A. territory in order to try and root out the terrorists taking refuge there. The current security situation is untenable, which is one of the reasons the P.A. has to go.

Another reason is that the P.A. is horribly managed. Corruption is rampant. P.A. employees are not even paid their full wages, although P.A. chief Mahmoud Abbas still finds plenty of money to pay terrorists and their families very generous monthly salaries for killing Jews. Abbas has gone on record saying, “We will neither reduce nor prevent [payment] of allowances to the families of martyrs, prisoners, and released prisoners, as some seek, and if we had only a single penny left, we would pay it to families of the martyrs and prisoners.”

YOU’LL BE SURPRISED TO LEARN WHAT IT REALLY SAYS IN ISRAEL’S JUDICIAL REFORM   [9:20]  by Leah Rosenberg

The Truth About Israel’s Judicial Reform

March 16, 2023 – Israel’s Judicial Reform is making all the headlines – and not only in Israel. But too many people have it all wrong. Here’s the truth.

This is a perfect example of why you can’t believe everything the media tells you. Just because a platform claims that it is a “news” outlet, it does not mean it is sharing the truth. When it comes to Israel’s judicial reform, the whole world seems to be going crazy. But they are mistaken. Too many people have no idea what it even says in the reform. The Left is making all these dramatic claims about the end of democracy in Israel. But the truth is that Israel’s judicial reform is intended to do quite the opposite. It enables democracy to continue!

Who better to explain Israel’s judicial reform than one of the authors of it? Professor Moshe Koppel is one of the people to go to if you want to understand what the reform actually says.

Missionaries in Jerusalem   Adina Kutnicki

The focus of missionary activity in Israel, although forbidden by law, is Jerusalem. Op-ed.

Jul 5, 2023, 8:46 AM (GMT+3) – In the Biblical book of Ecclesiastes (one of the Ketuvim), Kohelet in Hebrew, many pearls of wisdom from King Solomon are to be found. For time immemorial.

One such gem is as relevant today, as it was when composed.

“What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done; there is nothing new under the sun.”

For centuries, Christian Missionaries have been (and still are) waging a spiritual battle for Jewish souls; engaging in a non-stop campaign to target as many Jews (worldwide) as possible for conversion to a Messianic form of Christianity. They view it as their ultimate ‘divine’ mission.

Akin to all matters of maximum, intrinsic value, there is always a central locus point – a power center, if you will. As such, for Christian Missionaries, the be all and end all is Jerusalem, namely, Holy Zion.

In light of the above statutory crime against the Jewish people, it must be asserted, here and now, for the record:

In Israel it’s legal to express a person’s world view, including religious beliefs, even if they are not accepted by the majority of the public. The exception to this rule is what is known in Israel as the “Missionary Law”. The “law” is actually composed of two separate sections of the Israeli criminal code; the first, section 174 of the Penal Code – 1977, forbids a person to proselytize another to change his religion by means of material benefit. The second, section 368 of the Penal Code, forbids persuading or encouraging a minor (under the age of 18) to change his religion. This law also forbids to conduct any ceremony for a minor to change religion, without the consent of both parents.

In this regard, the following (recent) report continues to send shivers up this spine – just like a toxic bout of deja vu.

IDF Accuses Palestinians of ‘Fortifying’ Mosque With Underground Tunnel and Weapons Cache   By Margaret Flavin

Jul. 4, 2023 12:15 pm – On Tuesday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Tuesday accused Palestinian gunmen in the West Bank city of Jenin of turning the al-Ansar mosque into a “fortified” hideout.

Photos reveal the mosque has an underground tunnel and is filled with cache of weapons.

The hideout was discovered after a shootout in the area, a known hotbed for terrorists, which has seen more than 50 shooting attacks in 2023 thus far.

The Times of Israel reports:

On the ground floor, troops found two tunnel openings that the army said were connected. Explosives, weapons, and other military equipment were found inside the holes and scattered across the mosque.

“All of this excavation work in the mosque has turned it into a fortified site,” said Lt. Col. “Mem,” the commander of the elite Egoz unit, who can only be identified by his rank and initial of his first name in Hebrew.

The equipment was seized, the weapons were destroyed, and the tunnel was rendered inoperable, the IDF said.

Watch: Elite Israeli Maglan Unit in Combat in Jenin, Armed Civilian Takes Out Knife-Wielding Terrorist in Tel Aviv    By Richard Abelson

Jul. 4, 2023 9:45 am – Israeli special forces took out Iran-backed Islamic Jihad terrorist strongholds in Jenin in the heaviest counterinsurgency fighting in years. A 23-year-old terrorist rammed eight people in Tel Aviv before being neutralized by an armed citizen, proving “the importance of citizens carrying weapons,” said Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. “I call on the public to carry firearms.”

The soldiers found observation posts, tunnel shafts and explosives, Arutz Sheva reported. Several terrorist operatives were arrested, including key operatives. A defense official said “the resistance of the armed men tonight was low – they ran away when we arrived.” There were no injuries among Israeli forces.

15 terrorists were arrested in terrorist hotbed Jenin in Samaria. Arab sources reported gun battles between Israeli forces and armed terrorists. Nine Arabs have been killed and 100 injured, 20 of which are in serious condition.

IS IT ALREADY NEARLY TOO LATE?   [2 amazing and important Videos: 23:44 & 2:28]   Jan Willem Van der Hoeven, Director, International Christian Zionist Center  (ICZC)

May the Lord in his great love and mercy help us all to take this Jeremiah-inspired message for Israel and the nations to heart, which I have

spoken while we still were in Anatoth.

May this warning be widely spread to your leaders and pastors, friends and family – before it will be too late!

The time really now is very short. As the Lord already warned, the night will come when no one can work for Him anymore.

The night is coming when no one can work – John 9:4 NKJV

Then Jesus said to them, “Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; ” – John 12:35 NKJV

If you want to understand the very battle, which at the moment is raging in regard to America and the nations, as well as concerning Israel, you really need to listen to the 2 following messages.

I was privileged to be invited to speak the second shorter version below -which was warmly

received – at Israel’s Parliament, the Knesset.

[Ed.:  Jan Willem founded the ICZC  in Jerusalem over 60-years ago, and he is my friend!]

Seven injured in Tel Aviv car-ramming, stabbing

An armed civilian killed the terrorist.

A Palestinian terrorist drove his car into pedestrians at a bus stop on Pinchas Rosen Street in Tel Aviv’s northeastern Ramat Hahayal neighborhood on Tuesday.

He then got out of the vehicle and stabbed additional victims with a sharp object, police said. There were seven victims in total.

The IDF is dismantling Jenin’s terror infrastructure

The IDF has set a new precedent of intensified yet focused security operations, which it can now repeat.

(July 4, 2023 / JNS) – The Israel Defense Forces’ intensified security operation in Jenin entered its second day on Tuesday, and looked to be on track to achieving its goal of shattering the concept of Jenin as a terrorist haven out of reach of the Israeli military.

The operation exposed some of the systems set up by terrorists—consisting of local operatives as well as Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Hamas members—that had made Jenin so challenging for ordinary Israeli security missions recently: War rooms where operatives received video feeds and radio communications from across the city, and coordinated the activities of gunmen; hundreds of weapons, large quantities of explosive devices hidden in underground bunkers; and the beginnings of a rocket production industry.

These threats, collectively dubbed by the defense industry as “terror infrastructure,” are being systematically eliminated by a brigade-sized IDF force comprising mostly special units, backed by unmanned aerial vehicle firepower, that moved into the city overnight Sunday.

Israel to press ahead against ‘nest of terrorists’ in Jenin

The operation will continue “as long as necessary” to restore security, says Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

(July 4, 2023 / JNS) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Monday night to press forward “for as long as necessary” with the military operation in Jenin, which he said had become “a city of refuge for terrorism.”

Netanyahu held a security assessment at the Beit Lid base with the participation of Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) chief Ronen Bar.

“Our forces entered the nest of terrorists in Jenin: They are targeting terrorists. They are arresting fugitives. They are destroying command centers and seizing considerable weaponry. They are doing something else—they are destroying laboratories, of an almost industrial scale, for producing explosives, bombs and devices for killing and murdering Israeli citizens,” said Netanyahu.

“They are doing all of this in one of the most crowded places on earth and they are doing so with minimal injury to civilians, and without any injury to non-combatants. This is the directive: Take care of the security of our forces and also to avoid injury to innocents,” he added.

Is the Israeli Government Anti-Semitic?    BRUCHA WEISBERGER

It’s hard to come to another conclusion, seeing the evidence.

BS”D

JUL 3, 2023 – Something truly chilling is happening.

Why do the people in positions of power in the Israeli government act as if they want their population – specifically their Jewish population – DEAD?

Those who call the shots in the country that was supposed to be the safe harbor for Jewish people worldwide, that was supposed to ensure there would never be a Holocaust again, have acted and continue to behave in ways that are inexplicable.

The facts of what has been perpetrated are documented:

• They denied their citizens proper covid treatment – of which there was knowledge from the beginning – resulting in thousands of needless deaths. (Note: I have firsthand knowledge of this issue, as I was personally involved from afar in helping people in Israel access the simple, safe medications the government was keeping from them, like hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin. I started a group for this purpose two and a half years ago.)

See Rabbi Uri Sofer testify about this lack of treatment on the recording of my July 2021 event: https://rumble.com/v2xp9fo-the-truth-about-the-covid-vaccine.html

[Ed.:  Without disrespect to this excellent article, no, the IINO government is okay with people of Jewish decent, so long as they are not ‘religious’ Jews!  Remember the Altalena.  Remember Meron! Remember Amiran Ben Uliel, etc., etc., etc.  True anti-Semites hate even the erev rav government that has had the Jewish People in a choke hold since 1948…  It would be far more accurate to call the IINO government ‘Democrats’, or ‘leftists’, which is their true nature.]

Free Ride as Anarchy Escalates   by AFSI Staff

July 3, 2023 – Clashes broke out between police and anti-government protesters during a demonstration at Ben Gurion Airport today. The anarchists entered the reception hall for arriving passengers. Police attempted to remove the protestors and four were arrested.

Earlier today, a large group of protesters blocked the entrance of trucks to the Port of Haifa, placed barbed wire curls on the road, and burned tires. Police were deployed in downtown Haifa, but reports say the anarchists were left to do as they please.

Instruction from the anarchy leaders was written to the protesters that “there is no need to demean protest symbols and flags, the police will take care to protect the protesters and allow the democratic demonstration that will help stop the dictatorial and extreme moves of the Israeli government led by Netanyahu.”

Hornet’s Nest of Terrorism Being Dismantled   by AFSI Staff

July 3, 2023 – The IDF’s international spokesman, Lt. Col. Richard Hecht, spoke to Israel National News about the ongoing operation in Jenin. “Jenin has become a hornet’s nest of terrorism over the past few years, and there were some treacherous events last week,” he says. “We were waiting for the right timing – intelligence-wise, weather-wise – to launch an extensive operation aimed at dismantling the terrorist infrastructure. Jenin is infested with weapons, command centers, IEDs, munitions, you name it.”

“We used a surprise tactic – they expected us to come by land, but we attacked from the air. The ground forces were mobilized to create confusion. I can’t go into our strategy beyond that. We’ll have to see how the day ends, but I think it was a successful start.”
“All our best forces are in Jenin. We started with a command center right in the center of the camp, and we’re slowly going from one target to another within the camp. We’re trying to break the mindset of the camp as a safe haven for terrorists. We’ll go on as long as we need to.”

The Jordan Option is finally being actualized   By Ted Belman

This means the King is abdicating.

July 2, 2023 – The President of the Jordan Coalition for Change, Abedalelah Amaala, tweeted on July 28th,

“Abdullah II, Rania, his son Hussein, his hope, his prime minister and his entire government are outside Jordan in a tourist resort. Jordan is on the brink of collapse”

What this means is that King Abdullah II is abdicating along with his government.

The Jordan Option called for his abdication in 2017 and the change of Jordan into a republic lead by Mudar Zahran.  This is great news for Israel as Zahran wants to cooperate with Israel, not confront her. He intends to reaffirm the Jordanian citizenship of all Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza. Thus Israel will be able to annex most of the land without the need to give a path to citizenship for the local Arabs. Furthermore Zahran will effectively replace the Palestinian Authority and UNRWA will be done away with.

STOLEN CHILDHOOD: Gaza’s Children Stripped of Innocence and Exploited by Violence

Jun 29, 2023 – Most kids in the world go to summer camp for fun and enjoyment. This is not the case for kids in Gaza.

While children around the world spend their summer vacation at camp or enjoying time at the beach, the youth of Gaza are being prepped for terror and violence.

Terror groups in Gaza run special terrorist training programs for tens of thousands of children and adolescents, which include military exercises, the use of weapons, ideological indoctrination and lessons in abducting Israeli soldiers.

No child should ever be forced to be filled with such hate. These camps are nothing more than child abuse camps and the world should be outraged.

Israel Kidnaps Terrorist on Iranian Soil, Gets Detailed Confession; Attack on Israelis Foiled

Jun 29, 2023 – The Mossad will continue to take determined action to prevent attacks on Jews and Israelis around the world, the agency stated.

The Mossad, Israel’s world-renowned national intelligence agency, revealed details Thursday evening on an operation that thwarted an Iranian terrorist cell earlier this week. The attack was aimed at Israeli tourists in Cyprus.

In a counterterrorist operation on Iranian soil, the Mossad abducted Yusef Shahabazi Abbasalilu, head of the cell, who gave his investigators a detailed confession.

Abbasalilu had received specific instructions and weapons from senior Revolutionary Guards personnel in Iran. During questioning, he admitted his involvement in the attempted attack and described how he tried to carry it out.
