Report: Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau expected to resign as early as Monday
Three anonymous sources tell The Globe and Mail that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is preparing to announce his resignation as leader of the Liberal Party, potentially as early as Monday.
Jan 6, 2025, 4:51 AM (GMT+2) Israel National News – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is reportedly preparing to announce his resignation as leader of the Liberal Party, potentially as early as Monday, The Globe and Mail newspaper reported on Sunday.
The newspaper, citing three anonymous sources, indicated that while the exact timing of Trudeau’s announcement remains uncertain, it is expected to occur before a critical national caucus meeting on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister’s Office did not respond to the report. It is also remains unclear whether Trudeau intends to step down immediately or continue serving as Prime Minister until a new Liberal leader is chosen.
The report follows a recent upheaval in Trudeau’s cabinet, which saw the surprise resignation of his former Finance Minister, Chrystia Freeland, and a subsequent cabinet reshuffle which saw the appointment of Rachel Bendayan, the first Sephardi woman in Canada’s Cabinet.
Recent polls suggest that Trudeau’s Liberal Party, which he has headed since 2013, now faces an uphill battle, with a potential election by late October showing the Conservatives poised for a decisive victory.
According to one of the sources cited in Sunday’s report, Trudeau has spoken with Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc about the possibility of serving as interim leader and Prime Minister. However, this arrangement might be complicated if LeBlanc intends to pursue the party’s permanent leadership, potentially leaving the party in a precarious position as it transitions to new leadership.

According to journalist Jon Fleetwood, the same DEFUSE plan talked about “aerosolizing COVID” and using “drones to release these particles.”
One chilling excerpt from the DEFUSE proposal reads: “This technology has a potential application in large-area inoculation of animals/humans.”
Fleetwood stressed, “That’s us!”
He further explained: “There’s a picture that maybe what was actually intended was to outfit drones with spray technology… and use it to release a virus vaccine. The idea is that they created the virus through gain-of-function research and other experiments to make it a self-spreading vaccine that acts like a virus.”
“Senators are saying there’s information in there that talks about gain of function on these viruses. And yes, that gain of function did happen,” Fleetwood continued.
“If that happened from the DEFUSE proposal, then what else also happened that’s inside the DEFUSE proposal?”

Investigative journalist Margot Patrick of the Wall Street Journal reveals how Switzerland’s Credit Suisse bank in Zurich hid thousands of files marked with the ominous “American blacklist” stamp. January 4, 2025 Just the News – President-elect Donald Trump on Saturday called for Judge Juan Merchan to be disbarred after he rejected Trump’s bid to toss out his conviction in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s hush money case.
“The judge should be disbarred!” Trump wrote in a lengthy TRUTH Social post. “This is why people, and companies, are FLEEING New York – A corrupt court system.”
Judge Merchan on Friday rejected Trump’s bid to toss out the conviction in his New York hush money trial. He is expected to be sentenced on Jan. 10.
The judge indicated Friday he was unlikely to impose jail time, and that he intends instead to sentence Trump to an “unconditional discharge.” Trump was convicted last year on 34 counts of falsifying business records in connection with a 2016 payment his then-attorney, Michael Cohen, made to porn star Stormy Daniels.
“I never falsified business records,” Trump’s post reads. “It is a fake, made up charge by a corrupt judge who is just doing the work of the Biden/Harris Injustice Department, an attack on their political opponent, ME!”
Trump said he hid nothing regarding the documents.
“I was hiding nothing, everything was out in the open for all to see. Every legal scholar of note said there IS NO CASE AGAINST ME,” he stated.
