Syrian President Assad Flees Damascus As Jihadis Takeover Country’s Capital, Christians and Religious Minorities Face Slaughter By Pamela Geller
December 8, 2024 – There are no good guys in this fight. The ISIS and al Qaeda takeover bodes most ill. Christians and religious minorities face genocide. Sharia, the most system of governance on the face of the earth, will be imposed.
“The international media has been trying to portray these “rebels” as plucky freedom fighters against the tyrant Assad, but actually they’re Islamic jihadis who will impose Sharia and make life miserable for the remaining Christians of Syria.” (Robert Spencer)

Deposed and Disgraced: Obama Says Republicans Are the Ones Who Rig Elections and Weaponize the Justice System By Geller Report Staff
December 8, 2024 – Watch Obama viciously accuse President Trump and his supporters of what he and the Democrat Party are guilty of. President Obama is one of the the most dishonest, manipulative and divisive figures in modern American history. He despises traditional America, and will be a formidable opponent of the pro-America movement for years to come.
He could barely get the words out because it’s such an outrageous lie. But it is, in fact, an admission of what the Democrats have been doing. They always accuse us of their own crimes. It’s as good as a confession.
“It’s over for Obama,” journalist Miranda Devine posted on X. “The spell is broken. Donald Trump vanquished him, Biden, Harris, the Bushes, the Cheneys. All of them, with a spring in his step.”
“Ever since his last minute desperate smear of Trump with the ‘very fine people on both sides’ lie, Barack Obama has been slowing realizing his status as false prophet of the Democrat party is no more,” conservative radio host Buck Sexton posted on X.
“Obama turned our politics into ‘if you disagree with me, you are a bad person,’” Republican communicator Matt Whitlock posted on X. “Few people did more to pave the way for Trump. So he can take a seat.”
“By voting in a democratic election, millions of people proved they hate democracy,” author Jon Gabriel posted on X. “Yes, this Obama fellow is quite the intellect.”
Setting aside the unbelievable hypocrisy here, this is also the guy who’s launching a project to lessen our political divisions. Being the problem — way up on his high horse, looking down disappointedly at the unwashed masses — while publicly lamenting the problem is peak Obama,” Fox News contributor Guy Benson posted on X.
Conservatives on social media blasted former President Obama after his first speech since the presidential election in which he lamented polarization in politics.
During a speech Thursday at the Obama Foundation’s Democracy Forum, Obama made the case that if “one side” attempts to cement “a permanent grip on power” through “suppressing votes,” “politicizing” the military or weaponizing the judiciary and criminal justice system to target opponents, “a line has been crossed.”

The Crimes of Syria’s Bashar al-Assad [VIDEO]
December 8, 2024 Jewish Breaking News – December 8, 2024
After a 13-year brutal civil war in Syria, longtime tyrant Bashar al-Assad is gone, having fled the capital of Damascus to an unknown location after rebels took control of the city over the weekend.
Emerging reports suggest Assad may be dead after his plane disappeared from flight radar. Alive or dead, his legacy will be forever chained to the countless atrocities he unleashed upon his own people.
Long before he unleashed chemical weapons on his own people, Assad was an unlikely heir to Syria”s dynasty. The soft-spoken ophthalmologist, trained in London and married to a British-Syrian investment banker, was never meant to rule. That destiny belonged to his older brother Bassel, who died in a 1994 car crash, forcing the younger Assad to abandon his medical career and return to Damascus for rapid-fire military training.
When his father Hafez al-Assad died in 2000, the younger Assad inherited a family enterprise built on fear. Despite early promises of reform, that facade quickly shattered in 2011 when pro-democratic protests erupted across Syria.
For more than a decade, Assad orchestrated a campaign of systematic brutality against the Syrian people. His playbook of oppression, pieced together through United Nations investigations, human rights reports, and defector testimony, reveals a regime that turned Syria”s entire security apparatus into a well-oiled instrument of terror.
At the center of Assad”s killing machine sat the “Crisis Cell,” a cabal of high-ranking security chiefs handpicked by the dictator himself in March 2011. Operating from Damascus under then-Chief of General Staff Hassan Ali Turkmani, the Crisis Cell commanded a sprawling network of four intelligence directorates that blanketed Syria: Political Security, Military Intelligence, General Intelligence, and Air Intelligence. Each operated as its own entity of fear and intimidation, granted carte blanche to detain, torture, and execute anyone deemed a threat to Assad”s grip on power.
However, Assad”s architecture of oppression went far deeper than army tanks and soldiers. “Assad”s architecture of oppression reached far beyond tanks and soldiers. He constructed the “People”s Committees” which served as the eyes and ears of the regime. They would mark homes with coded symbols at night signaling which families were to be targeted by security forces. Their most ruthless members were handpicked to form an elite terror squad that would come to be known as the Shabiha.
Meaning “ghosts” in Arabic, the Shabiha reveled in inflicting pain, filming their atrocities to spread fear, and leaving mutilated bodies in the streets as warnings to anyone who dared oppose the regime.
Among Assad”s most heinous crimes against his own people was the repeated use of chemical weapons. The most devastating attack came on August 21, 2013, when regime forces unleashed sarin gas on Eastern Ghouta, a Damascus suburb. The attack killed hundreds of civilians, many of them children who suffocated in their sleep.
Still, Assad wasn”t finished. On April 4, 2017, Syrian warplanes dropped sarin gas on Khan Sheikhoun in Idlib province, killing 89 civilians in an attack so brazen it prompted then U.S. President Trump to launch 59 Tomahawk missiles at Syria”s Shayrat Airbase. Less than a year later, on April 7, 2018, Assad”s forces struck again in Douma, Eastern Ghouta, using a mixture of chlorine gas and sarin that left dozens dead.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Assad’s campaign of slaughter claimed over half a million lives, including more than 25,000 children. Entire families were erased, ancient communities reduced to rubble, and millions driven from ancestral homes in what stands as one of the bloodiest campaigns of state terror in modern history.
Biden Approves Nearly $1 Billion Ukraine Aid Package
December 8, 2024 Jewish Breaking News – With time running short on his presidency, Joe Biden has authorized one of his largest military support packages yet for Ukraine.
Marking the 22nd aid package for Kyiv, the Department of Defense announced on Saturday a $988 million assistance package that will provide Ukraine with critical munitions for rocket systems and unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The package also includes substantial support for maintenance and repair of artillery systems, tanks, and armored vehicles damaged during Ukraine’s nearly 3 years of defense against Russia.
The deal follows a $725M package announced last Monday that included a second delivery of landmines as well as anti-missile weaponry. It also follows Biden’s recent authorization allowing Kyiv to use U.S.-supplied missiles for strikes deeper into Russian territory.
However, the future of U.S. support for Ukraine remains uncertain, particularly given President-elect Donald Trump has openly scoffed at the billions of dollars in military assistance being spent.
On Saturday, Trump arrived in Paris for the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral, where a hastily arranged meeting was set up with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and French President Emmanuel Macron. Afterwards, the Ukrainian president described the meeting as “good and productive,” and emphasized that any peace agreement with Russia must include “strong security guarantees for Ukraine.”
“We all want peace. But it is very important for us that the peace is just for all of us and that Russian President Vladimir Putin or any other aggressor has no possibility of ever returning,” he said.
Even Trump sounded optimistic.
“Zelenskyy and Ukraine would like to make a deal and stop the madness,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform. “There should be an immediate ceasefire and negotiations should begin. Too many lives are being so needlessly wasted, too many families destroyed, and if it keeps going, it can turn into something much bigger, and far worse.”
What Happens If A Super Volcano Erupts? | The Yellowstone Super Volcano [49:39]
4,493,434 views • Jan 5, 2024 – In the United States, in the state of Wyoming is a national park called Yellowstone. Infamous for it’s beautiful nature it’s also home to one of the world’s largest volcanoes. The Yellowstone volcano is a super volcano and if it decided to erupt, the results would be devastating. But just how devastating would they be?
Super volcanoes are real events. A million times more powerful than Hiroshima with just over 20 having been recorded in the history of the earth and over half of these happened in the USA. For the last 30 years scientists have been investigating where the next super volcano could erupt. With all this research, it has revealed that an active super volcano exists under Yellowstone National Park. If the Yellowstone Caldera erupted today, could we survive? How will impact USA?
Horrifying Today: Yellowstone Volcano Erupts: Black Sky, Thousands of Lives in Danger!
Dec 7, 2024 • #volcanoeruption #updatenews #volcanoerupts
Yellowstone National Park is experiencing a very tense situation today after three volcanic eruptions occurred in succession. Tourists in the Yellowstone area were forced to evacuate in panic due to a large eruption that shook the ground and sent ash into the air. According to eyewitnesses, the first explosion occurred at around 9 am, followed by two other, stronger eruptions in the next few hours. A tense atmosphere enveloped the national park which is usually a peaceful tourist spot.
Yellowstone, United States – An extraordinary natural phenomenon occurred in Yellowstone National Park today with the sudden eruption of the second Giant Geyser. The eruption was reportedly so powerful, it resembled an underwater nuclear explosion, causing intense shock and fear among tourists and park officials.
Yellowstone’s Giant Geyser, one of the world’s most famous geothermal phenomena, has been known as one of the most active geysers with unpredictable eruptions. However, this time’s eruption far exceeded expectations, with columns of hot water and steam shooting hundreds of meters into the air, forming giant steam clouds that covered the sky.
When will Yellowstone erupt again? This is one of the most common questions people ask when they think about Yellowstone, and it’s an important topic for volcanologists. Yellowstone has experienced three caldera-forming eruptions in the last 2.1 million years, the most recent of which occurred ~631 thousand years ago and resulted in the formation of the Yellowstone Caldera, so it is possible that Yellowstone will produce another large rhyolite eruption in the future. However, the occurrence of another large eruption at Yellowstone represents only one possibility in the future. It’s also important to understand what will happen to Yellowstone if the upper crustal magmatic system that feeds its eruptions and powers its hydrothermal features finally dies, as it eventually will, and as it does at all the old caldera centers that define the path of the Yellowstone hotspot- Snake River Plain.

SYRIA HAS FALLEN: Bashar AL-ASSAD FLEES COUNTRY AS JIHADIST REBELS END HIS BRUTAL REIGN
December 7, 2024 @ 10:30 pm ET Yeshiva World News – Syrian dictator Bashar Assad, infamous for deploying chemical weapons against his own population, has fled Damascus as rebels seized control of the capital. According to reports from Reuters and Syrian state television, Assad, his wife Asma al-Assad, and their three children have left the country. Their destination remains unknown.
Assad’s departure marks the apparent end of over five decades of rule by the Assad family, beginning with his father, Hafez Assad, in 1970. The civil war that has gripped Syria since 2011, claiming over 500,000 lives, reached a turning point with the fall of Damascus and key cities like Aleppo, Hama, and Homs to rebel forces.
The coalition of rebels includes Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), a U.S.-designated terrorist organization and former Al-Qaeda affiliate, which played a decisive role in Assad’s ouster. HTS leader Abu Mohammed al-Golani, who has a $10 million U.S. bounty on his head, has reportedly attempted to rebrand his group as a more moderate Islamist faction, though experts warn that HTS aims to impose a strict Islamist regime akin to the Taliban.
Phillip Smyth, a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, told Fox News Digital that “HTS is an outgrowth of Al-Qaeda and has connections to Turkey. Their endgame is to create a Talibanesque society with a few tweaks.”
An Associated Press journalist in Damascus reported seeing groups of armed residents along the road in the outskirts of the capital and hearing sounds of gunshots. The city’s main police headquarters appeared to be abandoned, its door left ajar with no officers outside. Another AP journalist shot footage of an abandoned army checkpoint where uniforms were discarded on the ground under a poster of Assad’s face.
Residents of the capital reported hearing gunfire and explosions. Footage broadcast on opposition-linked media showed a tank in one of the capital’s central squares while a small group of people gathered in celebration. Calls of “God is great” rang out from mosques.
It was the first time opposition forces had reached Damascus since 2018, when Syrian troops recaptured areas on the outskirts of the capital following a years-long siege.
The advances in the past week were by far the largest in recent years by opposition factions, led by a group that has its origins in al-Qaida and is considered a terrorist organization by the U.S. and the United Nations. In their push to overthrow Assad’s government, the insurgents, led by the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham group, or HTS, have met little resistance from the Syrian army.
The rapid rebel gains, coupled with the lack of support from Assad’s erstwhile allies, posed the most serious threat to his rule since the start of the war.
Assad’s regime faced global condemnation for years for its brutal crackdown on dissent. What began in 2011 as peaceful protests during the Arab Spring escalated into a protracted civil war after Assad’s forces tortured and killed 15 boys in Daraa for anti-regime graffiti. The conflict saw Assad employ scorched-earth tactics, including indiscriminate bombings and chemical weapons attacks, such as the 2013 sarin gas strike that killed over 1,400 civilians.
Despite international outrage, Assad remained in power thanks to support from Iran, Hezbollah, and Russia, which intervened militarily in 2015. Recent developments, including weakened Russian influence due to the war in Ukraine and increasing Israeli strikes on Iranian assets, have shifted the balance of power in the region.
The fall of Assad’s regime has sent shockwaves through the Middle East. Both Egyptian and Jordanian officials reportedly urged Assad to form a government-in-exile, though Jordan’s government denied involvement.
As Damascus and other key cities fall under rebel control, questions remain about the future governance of Syria. The international community has long pushed for a ceasefire and democratic elections under United Nations Security Council Resolution 2254, but Assad’s refusal to engage with the resolution leaves Syria at a crossroads.
The dramatic collapse of Assad’s regime underscores the enduring impact of his decisions to prioritize repression over reconciliation. The boys of Daraa, whose graffiti sparked a revolution, may yet see their dream of a toppled regime realized, albeit under uncertain and precarious circumstances.

Opposition Fighters Are at Damascus’ Gates. Who Are They and What Now?
December 7, 2024 @ 5:45 pm ET Yeshiva World News – Opposition fighters are closing in on Syria’s capital in a swiftly developing crisis that has taken much of the world by surprise. Syria’s army has abandoned key cities in the west and south with little resistance. Nervous residents in Damascus describe security forces on the streets. The state news agency has been forced to deny rumors that President Bashar Assad has left the country.
Who are these opposition fighters? If they enter Damascus after taking two of Syria’s largest cities, what then? Here’s a look at the stunning reversal of fortune for Assad and his government in just the past 10 days, and what might lie ahead as Syria’s 13-year civil war reignites.
The aim? Overthrow the government
This is the first time that opposition forces have reached the outskirts of the Syrian capital since 2018, when the country’s troops recaptured the area following a years-long siege.
The approaching fighters are led by the most powerful insurgent group in Syria, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, or HTS, along with an umbrella group of Turkish-backed Syrian militias called the Syrian National Army. Both have been entrenched in the northwest. They launched the shock offensive on Nov. 27 with gunmen capturing Aleppo, Syria’s largest city, and the central city of Hama, the fourth largest.
The HTS has its origins in al-Qaida and is considered a terrorist organization by the U.S. and the United Nations. But the group said in recent years it cut ties with al-Qaida, and experts say HTS has sought to remake itself in recent years by focusing on promoting civilian government in their territory as well as military action.
HTS leader Abu Mohammed al-Golani told CNN in an exclusive interview Thursday from Syria that the aim of the offensive is to overthrow Assad’s government.
Possible rifts ahead
The HTS and Syrian National Army have been allies at times and rivals at times, and their aims might diverge.
The Turkish-backed militias also have an interest in creating a buffer zone near the Turkish border to keep away Kurdish militants at odds with Ankara. Turkey has been a main backer of the fighters seeking to overthrow Assad but more recently has urged reconciliation, and Turkish officials have strongly rejected claims of any involvement in the current offensive.
Whether the HTS and the Syrian National Army will work together if they succeed in overthrowing Assad or turn on each other again is a major question.
Others take advantage
While the flash offensive against Syria’s government began in the north, armed opposition groups have also mobilized elsewhere.
The southern areas of Sweida and Daraa have both been taken locally. Sweida is the heartland of Syria’s Druze religious minority and had been the site of regular anti-government protests even after Assad seemingly consolidated his control over the area.
Daraa is a Sunni Muslim area that was widely seen as the cradle of the uprising against Assad’s rule that erupted in 2011. Daraa was recaptured by Syrian government troops in 2018, but rebels remained in some areas. In recent years, Daraa was in a state of uneasy quiet under a Russian-mediated ceasefire deal.
And much of Syria’s east is controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces, a Kurdish-led group backed by the United States that in the past has clashed with most other armed groups in the country.
Syria’s government now controls just four of 14 provincial capitals.
What’s next?
Much depends on Assad’s next moves and his forces’ will to fight.
A commander with the insurgents, Hassan Abdul-Ghani, posted on the Telegram messaging app that opposition forces have started carrying out the “final stage” of their offensive by encircling Damascus.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Syrian troops have withdrawn from much of the two southern provinces and are sending reinforcements to Homs. If that city is captured, the link would be cut between Damascus, Assad’s seat of power, and the coastal region where he enjoys wide support.
“Homs to the coastal cities will be a very huge red line politically and socially. Politically, if this line is crossed, then we are talking about the end of the entire Syria, the one that we knew in the past,” said a Damascus resident, Anas Joudeh.
Assad appears to be largely on his own as allies Russia and Iran are distracted by other conflicts and the Lebanon-based Hezbollah has been weakened by its war with Israel, now under a fragile ceasefire.
The U.N. special envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, is calling for urgent talks in Geneva to ensure an “orderly political transition,” saying the situation is changing by the minute. He met with foreign ministers and senior diplomats from eight key countries including Saudi Arabia, Russia, Egypt, Turkey and Iran on the sidelines of the Doha Summit.
President-elect Donald Trump in his first extensive comments on the developments in Syria said the besieged Assad didn’t deserve U.S. support to stay in power. “THIS IS NOT OUR FIGHT,” Trump posted on social media.
