Trump Ends School COVID Vaccine Mandates, But He’s Not Even Close to Being Finished By Jack Davis
February 16, 2025 – The federal funding spigot is being turned off for any school or college that requires students to have a COVID-19 vaccine under an executive order released Friday by President Donald Trump.
The order said that despite the ebb of COVID-19, some “school districts and universities continue to coerce children and young adults into taking the COVID-19 vaccine by conditioning their education on it, and others may re-implement such mandates.”
The order noted Trump’s position that parents should decide which vaccines children receive.
“Parents and young adults should be empowered with accurate data regarding the remote risks of serious illness associated with COVID-19 for children and young adults, as well as how those risks can be mitigated through various measures, and left free to make their own decisions accordingly,” the order said.
“Given the incredibly low risk of serious COVID-19 illness for children and young adults, threatening to shut them out of an education is an intolerable infringement on personal freedom. Such mandates usurp parental authority and burden students of many faiths,” the order said.
The order said “discretionary Federal funds” should not go to any college, school, or state education agency that requires a COVID-19 vaccine to attend classes in person.
The order gives the secretary of education and Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. 90 days to give Trump a report of what discretionary money flows to schools, colleges, or states that require a COVID-19 vaccine and how they plan to either block aid from those offenders in the future or rescind existing discretionary aid. The order also requires a plan to ban such mandates in the future.
Trump has nominated Linda McMahon to lead the Department of Education, but she has not yet been confirmed.
Trump “is committed to protecting personal freedoms and ensuring that Americans’ education isn’t conditioned on unnecessary government mandates,” a White House fact sheet issued in conjunction with the order said.
The fact sheet calls a vaccine requirement “government coercion.”
“Studies consistently show that children and young adults have an incredibly low risk of developing a severe illness from COVID-19,” the fact sheet said.
The fact sheet added that Trump “is dedicated to ensuring that American students are not forced to choose between their education and their medical freedom.”
The document also noted that Trump is a “staunch advocate for parental rights, ensuring families have the primary role in shaping their children’s educational journey, free from undue bureaucratic mandates.”
During the 2024 presidential campaign, Trump said he “would not give one penny to any school that has a vaccine mandate or a mask mandate,” according to CBS News.
Watch: School Board Actually Runs from Angry Parents Who Caught Them Letting 5-Year-Olds See Bondage Gear By Ole Braatelien
February 16, 2025
Parents armed with verbal pitchforks and torches sent woke administrators cowering away at a school board meeting in New York state Tuesday night.
The parents of Penfield Central School were outraged that the school had exposed young children to an obscene book titled “The Rainbow Parade” by Emily Neilson, according to the U.K.’s Daily Mail.
The book is about a young girl and her two moms attending a pride parade. Among the illustrations included are two men in bondage gear holding hands, alongside other queer spectacles.
The controversy arose after a kindergartener reportedly came home with the book, which is available in the school’s library, according to RochesterFirst.com.
Parents expressed their indignation with school officials.

“If you think that that’s appropriate for children to see, then there’s something wrong with you,” parent John Feathers said, according to the Mail.
“You need to have a mental evaluation. There’s no reason that should be in the schools whatsoever at all,” he added.
School Board President Emily Roberts tried but failed to maintain control of the meeting as parents objected throughout the session.
“We have the policy in place. The procedures in place to object,” Roberts said, according to WHEC-TV in New York.
“That is not how you object,” she said to the disgruntled crowd, asking them to stop interrupting. “We will ask those people who cannot do that to be removed. We are here at our board meeting conducting our business.”
That particular comment prompted boos from parents.

“It’s our board meeting,” one woman among the parents yelled.
Shortly after, Roberts called a recess, and the school board members retreated, further agitating parents.
“They’re just leaving?” one parent said. “How do you just leave a school board meeting with a packed room?”
As for the book, it will remain in the library, as there has not yet been a formal complaint to have it removed, a school official said, according to RochesterFirst.com.

Remember How Pope Francis Is Pro-Illegal Immigrant? Turns Out Catholic Charities Have Taken Billions in Shelter Grants By Ole Braatelien
February 16, 2025 – Catholic Charities USA raked in billions of taxpayer dollars to shelter illegal immigrants during the Biden administration, according to a Just the News report published Tuesday.
Over the last four years, the organization collected more than $2 billion in federal grants intended for immigration-related programs, Just the News reported, citing data from USASpending.gov.
The exorbitant sum makes Catholic Charities, with its 168 U.S. branches, one of the largest private recipients of such funding, which helped shelter and relocate illegals.
Catholic Charities’ main donor was the Department of Health and Human Services, which granted the organization roughly $1.93 billion, according to the report.
Other donors included the Department of Homeland Security, which forked over more than $156 million, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development: $138 million.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency also donated to the Catholic volunteer organization, though the report didn’t cite how much.
However, FEMA has faced scrutiny from Republicans in recent months regarding its misallocation of taxpayer dollars toward immigration.
In October 2024, following Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the House Committee on Homeland Security sent a letter to Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas regarding his comments a week prior that FEMA did “not have the funds, to make it through the [hurricane] season.”
The letter went on to say that the reason FEMA didn’t have the funds was that it had depleted them on illegal immigration programs.
Just the News cited other instances in which Catholic Charities’ subsidiary offices received mountainous sums of cash for immigration programs during the Biden administration.
“For many local chapters, these new funds dwarfed the previous grants they had been awarded in previous years,” the news outlet wrote.
In fiscal year 2021, for example, the Diocese of Fort Worth in Texas received $11.7 million in grants.
But by FY 2023, that sum exploded to $401.7 million — most of it reserved for the “Refugee and Entrant Assistance” program.
Just the News reached out to Catholic Charities USA, but had not received a comment at the time of publication.
The report comes in the wake of recent remarks by Pope Francis condemning President Donald Trump’s mass deportation of illegals.
In a Monday letter addressed to U.S. Bishops, Pope Francis laid out the Catholic Church’s stance on the immigration issue.
“One must recognize the right of a nation to defend itself and keep communities safe from those who have committed violent or serious crimes while in the country or prior to arrival,” Francis wrote.
“That said, the act of deporting people who in many cases have left their own land for reasons of extreme poverty, insecurity, exploitation, persecution or serious deterioration of the environment, damages the dignity of many men and women, and of entire families, and places them in a state of particular vulnerability and defenselessness,” he wrote.
U.S. Border Czar Tom Homan gave reporters his response to the pope’s letter.
“He wants to attack us for securing our border? He’s got a wall around the Vatican, does he not?” Homan said.
“So he’s got a wall around that protects his people and himself, but we can’t have a wall around the United States?”

NATO Meeting Pic, Says ‘One of These Things Is Not Like the Others’
February 15, 2025 THE WESTERN JOURNAL – Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth challenged social media users on Thursday to observe what sets him apart from other Western military leaders.
Hegseth was in Europe this week visiting American troops stationed abroad and meeting with defense ministers from NATO member nations.
The former Fox News host and recently confirmed leader of the Pentagon then posted a picture in which he is positioned in the middle of those foreign officials.
“One of these things is not like the others,” the caption read.
“America First, always.”
There were indeed many differences between Hegseth and his foreign counterparts.
The most obvious was his bright blue suit, which contrasted with the darker alternatives worn by other defense ministers.
But upon further inspection, one may also notice that Hegseth, 44, is noticeably younger and more physically fit than the others, who are for the most part either chubby, stick-thin, or female.
Hegseth demonstrated his physical prowess throughout the week by completing morning training with American service members stationed in Europe.
That included a two-mile run with soldiers and Marines in Poland, plus “5 sets of 47” pushups, apparently in honor of 47th President Donald Trump.
He likewise lifted weights and ran with service members in Germany, telling social media followers that there was “no bureaucracy” involved, just “sharp minds, strong bodies, and a mission-first mindset.”
The most important difference between Hegseth and his counterparts is nevertheless ideological.
Unlike former Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Hegseth is indeed “America first, always.”
He made no apology for that priority when meeting with NATO ministers.
Hegseth called on European leaders to take charge of their own defense, especially as America handles border security and Chinese aggression.
“As the United States prioritizes its attention to these threats, European allies must lead from the front,” Hegseth said in an address delivered in Brussels, Belgium.
That would specifically look like NATO nations fulfilling Trump’s request to increase defense spending from 2% of GDP to 5% of GDP.
“We ask each of your countries to step up on fulfilling the commitments that you have made, and we challenge your countries — and your citizens — to double down and re-commit yourselves not only to Ukraine’s immediate security needs but to Europe’s long-term defense and deterrence goals,” he continued.
These sorts of claims are sure to melt the minds of leftists on both sides of the pond, but Hegseth prioritizing “America first” is a welcome break from the status quo in the Western world for the past several decades.
Hegseth, simply put, is “not like the others.”
