Democratic Support For Israel Plummets, New Poll Finds

February 27, 2025 Jewish Breaking News – A brand new Gallup poll has shown that Democratic support for Israel has nosedived to a pathetic 33% from 63% three years. The gap between parties is now wider than ever, with Republicans holding steady at 83% support while independents have followed Democrats off the pro-Israel cliff, with support plummeting from 71% to just 48% since 2022.
Democratic operatives are scrambling to contain the damage, with Jewish Democratic Council of America CEO Halie Soifer desperately trying to pin the blame on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s right-wing government rather than acknowledge the anti-Israel sentiment festering within her party’s base.
“Prime Minister Netanyahu’s close alignment with Donald Trump has clouded the way some see Israel,” Soifer tells JTA. However, the Republican Jewish Coalition wasted no time celebrating the poll as vindication, declaring “The numbers don’t lie: there is only ONE pro-Israel party, and it is the GOP.”
The survey comes as President Trump continues to cement his reputation as Israel’s most reliable ally in Washington, recently hosting Netanyahu at the White House and giving his full-throated support to the IDF’s defensive war in Gaza.
“Sometimes you have to make a decision… it’s a rough decision,” Trump told Fox News when asked about the expiring ceasefire on Saturday. “You know, when you see what’s happening there… you just wonder about the condition of the hostages that they have. One group came in so bad, it looked like it was a concentration camp in Germany.”

In the autumn of 2021, Russia actually sent a draft treaty that they wanted NATO to sign to promise no more NATO enlargement. That was what they sent us, and that was a precondition for not invading Ukraine. Of course we didn’t sign that.
In other words, the war in Ukraine could have been averted if NATO had agreed to Russia’s perfectly understandable request to refrain from admitting Ukraine to NATO.
Stoltenberg was so animated with obstinate pride that he openly declared this to the EU Parliament without showing the slightest awareness that Russia had a legitimate security concern.
To understand Russia’s concern, consider how Washington would react if Russia moved to place military bases in Cuba and northern Mexico.
Since February 2022, I have been asking anyone who would listen:
Why didn’t the West at least try an Austrian style neutrality deal for Ukraine along the lines of what the Russians proposed in 2021? Had the Russians subsequently violated their own proposed deal, then the West would have had a clear casus belli.

United Airlines Jet Carrying 182 Makes Emergency Landing By Jack Davis
February 25, 2025 – A Newark-Las Vegas flight was forced to return to New Jersey Tuesday due to an unexplained concern with the aircraft.
United Airlines flight 1544 took off from Newark Liberty International Airport at about 6 a.m., according to WPIX-TV.
After about an hour, the plane returned to the airport.
“United flight 1544 to Las Vegas returned to Newark Liberty International Airport to address a possible mechanical issue,” United said in a statement.
“The flight landed safely, and all passengers deplaned normally at the gate. We have arranged for a different aircraft to take our customers to Las Vegas this morning,” the statement said.
Newark had been the site of two previous United Airlines flights that made emergency stops Jan. 18 and Jan. 25, WPIX reported.
The plane in Tuesday’s incident was a Boeing 757-200, according to the New York Post.
The plane had 176 passengers and six crew members aboard, according to Fox News.
The incident comes on the heels of multiple incidents impacting airlines.
On Monday, a Delta Air Lines jet that had taken off from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, was forced to return to Atlanta after what was called a haze filled the passenger cabin.
Passenger Kristin Morris said the plane had only been in the air five to 10 minutes when the haze began, according to CNN.
“A few of us passengers started to question why or what was going on. People started screaming ‘smoke, smoke, smoke,’” Morris said.
“We were in the air for about 20 minutes, and it seemed to take a while before we landed,” Morris said.
No injuries were reported. Passengers evacuated the plane without incident.
Last month, a United Boeing 787-8 flying from Nigeria to Washington D.C. was forced to return to Nigeria, according to the Daily Mail.
Due to what was called a technical issue, an unexpected mid-air jolt led to six passengers being injured.
Earlier this month, a Delta Airlines plane crashed and flipped upside down, bursting into flames, while landing in Toronto.

February 25, 2025 – As of Tuesday morning, no one had yet indicated why it happened or even what exactly occurred.
Nonetheless, when a seemingly strange decision invites speculation, and when that speculation yields two possible explanations, each political in nature, smart bettors will place their wagers on the more plausible and, unfortunately, darker of the two.
In a news release on Monday, Goya Foods CEO Robert Unanue, a 48-year veteran of the company and a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump, announced that a vote of Goya’s board of directors had left him in a state of “limbo” regarding his “employment” with the company.
The news release described Unanue as having “led the New Jersey-based and Hispanic-owned food company to historic success and growth resulting in a multi-billion-dollar organization.”
That hardly sounds like cause for termination.
Of course, the Goya board might very well have cause to dismiss Unanue. But it has not said so. Thus, since no explanation has emerged, one cannot help but speculate.
In January 2021, the board censured Unanue for comments he made regarding the suspect nature of the 2020 presidential election.
“I think this is mission accomplished, by the union, the partnership, the conglomerate of social media, big tech, big media and big government for ushering in the dawn of a new world order,” Unanue said on Fox Business, per NBC News. “There is a war coming, now that the president is leaving today, they’re still coming after the United States, the working class.”
Of course, former President Joe Biden’s weaponized law enforcement and open borders made a prophet of Unanue.
Speaking of open borders, the (former?) CEO has also taken an intense interest in the crime of child trafficking.
Unanue, for instance, served as an executive producer on the 2023 blockbuster “Sound of Freedom,” which chronicled that heartbreaking issue.
“The uncertainty at Goya Foods will not deter me from making the world aware of the evils of child trafficking, and I will not rest until the over 325,000 children lost over the last 2 years are recovered,” Unanue said, per Monday’s news release.
“As in the past, I will work with the current administration in putting an end to the extremely lucrative but purely evil industry,” he added. ” I will not be silenced. I will not give in to those who want me to give up the fight. We cannot remain passive spectators while soulless, despicable animals treat children with callous indifference.”
Now we have arrived at the heart of the matter.
Unanue, of course, did not invent that claim of “over 325,000 children lost over the last 2 years.” In August, the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Inspector General admitted as much.
In a podcast conversation ostensibly about grocery prices, Unanue blamed Biden and then-Vice President Kamala Harris for losing those children.
“You want to control prices? You want to control costs? How about the United States, instead of being the complicit middle man in child trafficking, human trafficking and drugs, why don’t they put a lid on that and control our borders?” Unanue said.
Thus, we have a pro-Trump CEO, a company veteran of nearly half a century, facing employment uncertainty for unexplained reasons.
Meanwhile, the simple act of connecting the dots leads to speculation on two possible fronts.
Did the board vote to (perhaps) dismiss Unanue because of his past comments regarding the 2020 election? Or did that decision stem from discomfort about his intense focus on human trafficking?
Common sense tells us that the timing of the decision alone makes the 2020 election an unlikely cause. After all, why wait four years until Trump returned to office and only then fire (assuming they did) Unanue?
In short, if the Goya board’s decision regarding Unanue’s future employment had a political dimension — and in the absence of an official statement one cannot help speculating that it might have — then the darker of the two explanations, i.e. discomfort about Unanue’s efforts to expose the crime of human trafficking, constitutes by far the more plausible.
And by far the more sinister, as well.

Feb. 23, 2025 New York Post – Slain Israeli hostage Shiri Bibas was not killed by an explosion, as Hamas claimed, according to Israel’s top forensics chief.
Dr. Chen Kugel, director of the Abu Kabir National Institute of Forensic Medicine, on Saturday backed Israeli officials’ assertions that Bibas, 32, and her two sons, 9-month-old Kfir and 4-year-old Ariel, were not killed by an Israeli airstrike in November 2023.
“Our examination found no injuries consistent with a bombing,” Kugel told reporters.
Israeli forensics experts found no evidence that Shiri Bibas and her sons, Kfir and Ariel, died as a result of a bombing.
“We were met with depths of evil and malice that could not be conceived,” Kugel added of examining the bodies.
While Kugel did not say how Bibas died, Israeli officials have claimed she was “brutally” murdered alongside her children in November 2023.
IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said Hamas killed the boys — whose horrific kidnapping became a symbol of the Oct. 7 massacre — “with their bare hands.
“Afterward, they committed horrific acts to cover up these atrocities,” Hagari said of the Palestinian terrorists.

Islamic vs. Islamism: An Artificial Distinction
What does it mean to say that someone or something is “Islamist” as opposed to “Islamic”? Nothing, really, except that the person speaking doesn’t want to offend Islam by speaking unwelcome truths about the political nature of the religion.
The problem with this is that it is a Western, artificial distinction, imposed by non-Muslims upon the Islamic world and lacking any real substance with reference to Islamic law as it has always been formulated by the Sunni and Shi’ite madhahib (schools of jurisprudence). Islam has always been political, and the union of religion and the state has always been essential to its political program; the idea that all this can and should be separated from Islam proper is the wishful thinking of Western analysts who do not wish to face the the implications of the fact that these ideas represent mainstream Islamic thinking.
