US President Donald Trump will watch a documentary of Hamas October 7 atrocities before meeting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, says the Ynet news outlet.
According to the report, Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff saw the footage while in Israel last week and was left shocked, and decided that the president should view it as well.
The 47-minute IDF compilation of footage from Hamas’s October 7 onslaught, which saw some 3,000 terrorists burst across the border into Israel to kill some 1,200 people and seize 251 hostages, mostly civilians, amid acts of brutality and sexual assault, will be shortened to 20-30 minutes for the US president, Ynet reports.
The footage, first screened for foreign journalists in Israel on October 23, 2023, includes harrowing scenes of murder, torture and decapitation from the Hamas slaughter in southern Israel, including raw videos from the terrorists’ bodycams.

Trump’s Acting U.S. Attorney Ed Martin’s recent target letter to Senator Chuck Schumer, alerting him to the DOJ’s investigation into that very address of incitement, has laid bare a reckless disregard for the sanctity of our judicial system. The issue is urgent and pressing: a senator’s words, delivered with the venom of a demagogue, have not only incited an enraged mob but have now led to a sustained assault on the core institutions that uphold our republic.

“I want to tell you, Gorsuch. I want to tell you, Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”

That incendiary rhetoric morphed into a tangible assault on judicial integrity when, on May 2, 2022, a far-left Supreme Court clerk, likely inspired by Schumer’s call to arms, breached the sacred walls of court confidentiality by leaking the draft opinion of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization to the press. On June 8, 2022, the connection between words and deeds crystallized when Nicholas Roske, a left-wing extremist, was apprehended outside Justice Kavanaugh’s home. Armed with lethal intent and a cache of weapons, Roske’s actions were a direct manifestation of the storm Schumer had summoned. His confession—that his motive lay in the draft Dobbs decision leaked a mere month earlier—renders a damning portrait of the consequences of inflammatory political rhetoric. It is no hyperbole to assert that Schumer’s words acted as the spark that ignited this blaze of domestic terrorism.
Even as the threat became palpably real, the Biden administration and congressional Democrats showed an alarming reluctance to act decisively. Rather than bolstering security for Supreme Court justices—a move that would have sent a firm message of protection for our constitutional guardians—they instead allowed the situation to fester. Their inaction was not born of bureaucratic incompetence but of a calculated willingness to let fear and chaos rule. By neglecting to safeguard the lives of those charged with upholding our laws, they effectively tacitly endorsed a campaign of terror aimed at dismantling the independence of the judiciary.
Senator Schumer’s culpability in this unfolding drama is as clear as it is damning. His words, delivered with unmistakable intent to provoke, rise to the level of incitement under federal law. They are a direct challenge to the rule of law and, as such, demand prosecution under statutes designed to deter exactly this kind of dangerous rhetoric. Under 18 U.S.C. § 373, his conduct qualifies as solicitation to commit a violent crime—a statute meant to shield our institutions from precisely such reckless provocations. Furthermore, by issuing these threats in the presence of an enraged crowd, Schumer’s actions constitute an obstruction of justice under 18 U.S.C. § 1503, as they sought to undermine the independence of our judicial process. The application of 18 U.S.C. § 115, concerning threats against federal officials, further underscores the gravity of his actions—a legal precedent that has historically been applied to those whose transgressions, though far less egregious, nevertheless endangered the fabric of American governance. Lastly, his rhetoric, intended to incite disorder and violence, squarely falls within the ambit of the Anti-Riot Act—a statute whose purpose is to prevent exactly the kind of lawlessness that has now spilled into the streets and neighborhoods of our highest courts.
History offers us ample precedent for holding public officials to account when their actions stray into the realm of criminality. Senators such as Robert Menendez, indicted for bribery and corruption, and Ted Stevens, served as a stern reminder of the consequences of political malfeasance, have both faced legal repercussions for undermining the public trust. Schumer, with his reckless and incendiary words, has similarly betrayed the sacred trust placed in his office. His actions have not only flouted the principles of responsible governance but have also endangered the lives of the very individuals tasked with interpreting the Constitution.
This matter demands prompt and decisive action. No public official, regardless of rank or political affiliation, should ever be considered above the law. Trump Triples Down on Gazan Resettlement ADAM LEHRER AND PARK MACDOUGALD
JAN 31, 2025 The Scroll – For the third time in a week, President Donald Trump on Thursday afternoon reiterated his demand that Egypt and Jordan accept refugees from Gaza. Here was his exchange with a reporter:
Reporter: The president [of Egypt] and the king of Jordan have both said that they won’t take in displaced people from Gaza like you suggested. Is there anything you can do to make them do that? I mean, tariffs against those countries, for example?
Trump: They will do it. They will do it.
Reporter: What makes you say that?
Trump: They’re gonna do it, okay? We do a lot for them, and they’re gonna do it.
Trump’s remarks—his most forceful yet on the subject—came one day after Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi said that the “displacement of Palestinians” can “never be tolerated or allowed because of its impact on Egyptian national security.” And the comments might have made Sisi nervous. On Friday, Reuters reported, “thousands of people demonstrated at the Rafah border crossing” in a “rare state-sanctioned protest.” According to Egyptian security sources, “Parties close to Sisi had sent buses to ferry protesters to the border crossing, where civilian movement is typically restricted, but said the outpouring expressed public and not just leadership disapproval of Trump’s proposal.”
Such outpourings of organic popular sentiment aside, Trump is correct that “we do a lot for them.” Not to mention that, as Jonathan Schanzer and Mariam Wahba explain in a Friday article in Newsweek, Egypt has not been on its best behavior in recent years. For one thing, Israel’s seizure of the Philadelphi Corridor last year exposed Cairo as deeply complicit in the smuggling of weapons into Gaza prior to Oct. 7. And Egypt appears to be getting into the habit of snubbing Washington, per Schanzer and Wahba:
In 2023, leaked intelligence revealed Egypt’s secret plans to supply rockets to Russia in flagrant defiance of U.S. policy. In October 2024, at the height of Gaza ceasefire negotiations, Sisi skipped a key meeting with then-Secretary of State Antony Blinken to attend the BRICS summit in Russia, further testing Washington’s resolve. Meanwhile, Egypt has deepened ties with China, acquiring Chinese fighter jets and allowing anti-American, pro-Chinese Communist Party propaganda to seep into state institutions. Trump, who values loyalty, may see Cairo’s obvious hedging as a betrayal.
Egypt, of course, is terrified of allowing refugees from the Muslim Brotherhood-run enclave onto its territory, and it did, as Schanzer and Wahba note, reportedly reject an offer of $250 billion from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in exchange for allowing Gazan refugees into the Sinai. But as Judith Miller reported for Tablet in May, Egypt was narrowly saved from economic disaster in 2024 by a combined $50 billion cash infusion from an International Monetary Fund loan, European Union grants and loans, and a massive real-estate development deal financed by the UAE—all secured thanks to pressure from the Biden administration, which decided, as the Egyptian analyst Ahmed Aboudouh put it to Miller, that Egypt was “too big to fail.”
Trump may or may not share that view, but the point is that he has considerable leverage over Cairo—to say nothing of Jordan, which is almost entirely dependent on the United States for its security. The Israelis, meanwhile, might want to consider listening to Trump rather than Steve Witkoff. Opportunities like this one don’t come along every day.

Pentagon removes major media outlets, including NBC News, from dedicated workstations in new ‘rotation program’ By Amanda Terkel
NBC News, The New York Times, NPR and Politico must vacate their office spaces in two weeks for other news organizations — including at least one that did not request to be added.
Feb. 1, 2025, 12:41 PM EST NBC News – (WASHINGTON) The Department of Defense announced Friday night that it will institute a new “annual media rotation program” for its in-house press corps, effectively removing several major news outlets, including NBC News, from their Pentagon office spaces in favor of other outlets.
In addition to NBC News, The New York Times, National Public Radio and Politico must vacate their dedicated workspaces. The news organizations learned about the new directive in a memo sent to the press corps without being individually notified, and an accompanying email included a message that read, in part, “no additional information will be provided at this time.”
“For over a half-century, the Pentagon Press Corps has benefited from working out of individual office spaces that provide coveted and open access to some of the Department’s top military and civilian leaders,” read the memo Pentagon spokesperson John Ullyot sent to the Pentagon Press Association.
“In order to broaden access to the limited space of the Correspondents’ Corridor to outlets that have not previously enjoyed the privilege and journalist value of working from physical office space in the Pentagon, beginning February 14, 2025,” Ullyot wrote, there will be “a new Annual Media Rotation Program for those dedicated media spaces.”
In a statement, NBC News said, “We’re disappointed by the decision to deny us access to a broadcasting booth at the Pentagon that we’ve used for many decades. Despite the significant obstacles this presents to our ability to gather and report news in the national public interest, we will continue to report with the same integrity and rigor NBC News always has.”
The move by Pentagon officials comes seven days after the Senate confirmed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth by the narrowest of margins. It followed weeks of coverage about his behavior and treatment of women, including allegations that his alcohol consumption alarmed colleagues and his second wife feared for her safety around him. Hegseth has denied the allegations.
NBC News reported on some of the allegations against Hegseth.
The memo identified the rotating organizations by medium — selecting one each from TV, print, radio and online news to swap in and out. It said the news organizations rotating out had two weeks to vacate their spaces.
The new outlets rotating in are One America News Network — which will take NBC News’s spot — the New York Post, Breitbart News Network and HuffPost.
Three of the new outlets are conservative, while HuffPost leans progressive.
HuffPost does not have a Pentagon correspondent, and the site did not request a space, spokesperson Lizzie Grams said.
“If the Trump administration and Secretary Hegseth are interested in more hard-hitting coverage of their stewardship of the Defense Department from HuffPost, we are ready to deliver,” Grams said.
“This decision interferes with the ability of millions of Americans to directly hear from Pentagon leadership, and with NPR’s public interest mission to serve Americans who turn to our network of local public media stations in all 50 states,” NPR said in a statement. “NPR will continue to report with vigor and integrity on the transformation this Administration has promised to deliver. NPR urges the Pentagon to expand the offices available to press within the building so that all outlets covering the Pentagon receive equal access.”
A One America News spokesperson said in a statement that the news outlet has operated a bureau in Washington since 2013, and it “looks forward to having access to physical office space at the Pentagon and will utilize the accommodations full-time as soon as it’s available.”
NBC News reached out to the other news outlets for comment.
The memo did not include further details about the process of the new “rotation program,” including how officials chose which outlets needed to vacate office space first, how the new outlets were chosen and which are next, and how long an outlet would remain without an office space before it was rotated back into the building.
NBC News has held its dedicated Pentagon workspace for decades, enabling the network to broadcast its journalism throughout the day and within minutes of breaking news. The “booth,” as they are called, is hardwired with technical equipment, phone lines and a camera installed by NBC.
It is unclear whether NBC News will have the technical capability to broadcast from the Pentagon once it clears out its equipment from its workspace.
Ullyot noted that the vacating outlets continue to be members of the Pentagon press corps, meaning, in part, they “will be able to attend and cover briefings and be considered for travel with civilian and military leaders in the Department as they have previously.”
The Pentagon Press Association on Friday evening issued a statement saying, “Our resident press corps has greatly expanded over the years and we have always welcomed new members and will continue to do so.”
“We are, however, greatly troubled by this unprecedented move by DOD to single out highly professional media who have covered the Pentagon for decades, under both Republican and Democratic administrations,” the statement read. “We have asked for a meeting and we will keep everyone informed.”
At her first press briefing this week, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said that President Donald Trump’s administration was “opening up the briefing room to new media voices.” The first people she called on were Mike Allen of Axios — a longtime political journalist at a site considered mainstream — and Matt Boyle of Breitbart, a conservative site. Leavitt also said her team was working “diligently to restore the press passes of the 440 journalists whose passes were wrongly revoked by the previous administration.”
