It was a costly war, both in dollars and in the collective spirit of America. Many who first supported the effort now say it was a mistake.While Saddam Hussein’s alleged weapons of mass destruction were the most infamous selling point used by the White House to push the war on the American people, also carefully placed inside the minds of the average citizen was the false assumption that Saddam Hussein was in some way involved in orchestrating the events of 9/11.
Though President Bush eventually admitted when confronted that, in fact, Hussein didn’t have anything to do with 9/11, the 9/11 tragedy was carefully invoked many times by him, members of his administration, and by media hawks while making their case for war.

March 21, 2023 – Experts warn that recent bank failures and the stabilization measures taken by the Federal Reserve and Wall Street are creating even greater bank consolidation — which could further pave the way for a central bank digital currency.

Silicon Valley Bank’s (SVB) collapse earlier this month led to the collapse of Signature Bank, the voluntary closing of Silvergate Bank and the takeover of all three banks by the FDIC.
In response, top credit rating agency Moody’s lowered the outlook for the entire U.S. banking system to “negative.”
Now the banking crisis is spreading to Europe. Swiss regulators engineered a “forced marriage” between UBS and the troubled Credit Suisse this past weekend as part of an effort to stabilize the bank in the face of increasing concerns that a major financial crisis is imminent.
The collapse and downgrading of these banks have bolstered the position of what has come to be called the systemically important banks (SIBs) — financial institutions whose failure could trigger a financial crisis.
These “too big to fail” financial institutions — which include JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and Wells Fargo, among others — have been inundated with billions of dollars of new deposits “as smaller lenders face turmoil,” the Financial Times reported.
This happened despite the fact that the federal government stepped in to guarantee all of the deposits of SVB and Signature clients last week.
This series of events led analysts to raise questions about how this might open the door to the Federal Reserve’s exploratory plan to launch a CBDC.
Independent journalist and political commentator Kim Iversen said a CBDC is the Fed’s “end goal.” She predicted further consolidation of smaller banks into larger ones will make it “that much easier to roll out a central bank digital currency and social credit score for us all.”

March 21, 2023 – While plans to usher in centralized, government-controlled money are receiving some pushback in the US, the consensus seems to be in favor of introducing a central bank digital currency (CBDS), i.e., the digital euro.
And now the question is how exactly to proceed, including by determining strategic objectives.
In the eurozone – made up of the 20 (out of 27) EU members that have adopted the euro – merchants might find themselves under obligation to accept a future European Central Bank (ECB) digital currency.
This is information from a paper that eurozone finance ministers were expected to discuss on Monday. The obligation proceeds from granting the EU CBDC the same status as cash, making it a legal tender.
The paper says that this course of action would make sure that the digital euro’s network effect and distribution are increased.
Another point the paper raises for ministers to debate is if there should be exemptions, whose goal would be “balancing the principles of contractual freedom and mandatory acceptance.”
The ECB is yet to formalize a decision on issuing its CBDC, but this is expected to happen in the fall, and meanwhile, EU bureaucrats are clearly busy finalizing the proposal, including technical issues and priorities.

Fairway grocers in NYC now using facial recognition to profile customers by Ethan Huff
Tuesday, March 21, 2023 – (Natural News) The Village Super Market of New York, also known as Fairway grocers, affixed a sign to the doorway of its business recently that notifies customers about a new facial recognition scheme being deployed at the entrance.
From now on, Fairway says it will be collecting, converting, storing, or sharing customers’ “biometric identifier information, which is information that can be used to identify or help identify you,” as a condition of shoppers being allowed inside to make purchases.
“Examples of biometric identifier information are eye scans and voiceprints,” the sign, which appeared at Broadway and West 74th, explains.
When pressed for comment about all this by Patch, Wakefern Food Corporation, the parent company of Fairway, did not respond. However, the company did send a statement about the technology to ILoveTheUpperWestSide, which was the first publication to report about it.
“This technology is helping our stores reduce retail crime, an industry-wide challenge that has increased dramatically over the last few years,” said Karen O’Shea, a spokeswoman for Wakefern. “Only trained asset protection associates use the system, which helps us focus attention on repeat shoplifters.”

Serere has lost more than 20 kilos (44 lbs.) and is held in solitary confinement without contact with other people, according to a lawyer who was able to visit him in prison.

Case 4879 is kept top secret so the accused and their attorneys have no way of preparing their defense.

Rep. Comer was asked about DA Alvin Bragg’s announcement on Friday that Presient Trump will be arrested on bogus obstruction charges involving a deal signed by stripper Stormy Daniels. The case has already been thrown out of court and Stormy was ordered to pay President Trump $300,000 for filing the junk lawfare case against Mr. Trump.
Comer said he thought it was odd that this took place THE DAY AFTER Congress released proof that the Biden family was paid millions by the China regime in secret deals not reported by the criminal family.
Comer also announced the Oversight Committee has bank records on 11 more illicit Biden family business deals.

James Comer: Well, it’s very odd that this would come out just the very next day after I revealed bank records which showed that the Biden family, the President in particular, hasn’t been truthful with respect to his family receiving payments directly from the Chinese Communist Party. So it almost looks like it’s an effort to detract, but at the very least, it’s another example of a two-tier system of justice. Look, we’ve been looking into these classified documents. We saw the FBI rated Mar-a-Largo for one set of supposedly mishandled classified documents, but yet Joe Biden had at least five different locations of mishandled classified documents, and they give him days and days to go in and clean up with his attorney. So this looks to me like it’s another example of a two-tier system of justice at the DOJ.

On Wednesday, within hours of our reporting that the Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank failures could spur renewed calls for the U.S. to implement a CBDC, the Federal Reserve announced that the U.S. is rolling out the FedNow instant payment transfer service in July.

FRIDAY, MAR 17, 2023 – 07:20 AM – The Federal Reserve has announced a timeline for the launch of its long-awaited FedNow payment service that will let banks offer customers instantly available funds and execute real-time payments, with critics flagging concerns like lack of cross-border payment processing and raising questions about surveillance.
The Fed announced on Wednesday that it will begin formal certification of participants in the FedNow system in April in anticipation of a July launch.
First announced in 2019, FedNow will allow banks to instantly transfer payments across the financial system.
“With the launch drawing near, we urge financial institutions and their industry partners to move full steam ahead with preparations to join the FedNow Service,” Ken Montgomery, first vice president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and FedNow program executive, said in a statement.
As banks and other financial institutions join the program, this will create a growing network with clearing and settlement features that lets businesses and individuals send and receive instant payments at any time of day.
Recipients using the system will have full access to funds immediately, making it easier to make time-sensitive payments.
Some analysts have said that FedNow could reduce demand for payday loans because customers who use the system would receive their pay immediately, without having to wait for checks to clear.
“The launch reflects an important milestone in the journey to help financial institutions serve customer needs for instant payments to better support nearly every aspect of our economy,” Tom Barkin, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and the FedNow Program’s executive sponsor, said in a statement.
The system will have the capacity to support various types of transactions: consumer-to-consumer, consumer-to-merchant, merchant-to-merchant, and bank-to-bank.
Fed governor Michelle Bowman said last year that FedNow could offer some of the same benefits as a central bank digital currency (CBDC) and thus weakening the case for the adoption of a CBDC, which is, anyway, years away in the United States.
During congressional testimony in early March, Fed chair Jerome Powell was asked by a lawmaker whether there’s an advantage to the FedNow payment system over a CBDC or stablecoins that also tout faster payment services.
“A CBDC is going to be years in evaluation,” Powell replied.
“And I think we can get this into the hands of the public very quickly, and we’ll have real-time payments in this country very very soon.”

According to Hersh’s sources, the explosives were planted in June 2022 by US Navy divers under the guise of the BALTOPS 22 NATO exercise and were detonated three months later with a remote signal sent by a sonar buoy.
One source told Hersh that the plotters knew the covert operation was an “act of war,” with some in the CIA and State Department warning, “Don’t do this. It’s stupid and will be a political nightmare if it comes out.”
Last week, the New York Times reported that a “pro-Ukrainian group” had sabotaged the pipelines, using a team with as few as six people involved in the mission, contradicting previous assumptions that only a state would have had the resources to carry out the operation.
