Trapped Americans In Sudan “Shocked & Disgusted” – Left By Biden To Fend For Themselves BY TYLER DURDEN

FRIDAY, APR 28, 2023 – 10:02 PM – Update(1302ET): Sudan is continuing to stare into the abyss of full-blown civil war as the battle for control of the capital of Khartoum between two rival generals – now reaching the two week mark – results in a mounting death toll. Currently, dozens of countries have for days been racing to get their citizens out via military transport planes, ships, and via cross-border land routes into Ethiopia and neighboring countries, but not the United States.
A surprisingly blunt report voicing intense criticism toward the Biden administration has been issued by CNN Friday, which writes, “As the crisis in Sudan continues to unfold, there is mounting anger among Americans who feel abandoned by the US government and left to navigate the complicated and dangerous situation on their own.”
CNN further points out that robust evacuation efforts are underway by many other countries. As we detailed below, a C-130 evac flight sent by Turkey even took on small arms fire while landing outside the capital. And the Chinese government has said it has successfully evacuated at least 1,300 of its nationals thus far, with state media confirming evacuation operations ongoing by “land and sea”.
“I am incredibly shocked and disgusted by the American lackluster response to the health and safety of their citizens,” Muna Daoud told CNN, whose parents were forced to exit via Port Sudan to Saudi Arabia. And CNN follows with this:
Despite a number of nations evacuating their citizens, the US government has continued to say that the conditions are not conducive to a civilian evacuation. All US government personnel were evacuated in a military operation this weekend. US officials have said they are in “close communication” with US citizens and “actively facilitating” their departure from Sudan.
However, CNN spoke with multiple people whose family members are among the “dozens” of Americans who want to leave Sudan, and they said the State Department has provided “barely any assistance” since the deadly violence between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and Rapid Support Forces (RSF) broke out more than a week ago.
Another American stuck in Sudan called the embassy and State Department “useless”. “To be honest with you, the State Department was useless, utterly useless throughout this entire period,” a man named Imad said in an interview. “We expected the Department to provide some kind of guidance, but the guidance was the template, just shelter in place, no critical information being provided.”

Buses carrying about 300 Americans left the war-torn capital of Sudan late Friday, after Washington came under intense pressure to explain why other countries had rescued their nationals but thousands of U.S. citizens remained without help.
It came as Khartoum continued to rock with the sound of explosions despite a tentative ceasefire, and foreign leaders tried to broker a fresh truce.
The U.S. convoy reportedly set off late Friday on a 525-mile journey to the Red Sea.
It is following a route used by the United Nations and other nations since Sunday, and was monitored by armed drones flying overhead, according to the New York Times.
The effort was starting as other countries were winding down their rescue efforts.
The U.K. said it was ending its evacuation flights within the next 24 hours after a drop in demand.

April 28, 2023 – Public opinion pollster Gallup released its latest survey results regarding President Joe Biden’s job approval rating, and the results weren’t good for the sitting president.
The fact that the poll came out three days after the official announcement of his reelection bid must only have made matters worse for the White House.
According to Gallup, “Biden’s decision to seek a second term comes at the weakest point in his presidency,” with his overall approval sitting at only 37 percent.
That’s the lowest result Gallup has gotten for Biden’s approval since the beginning of his presidency, but even that wasn’t the worst news for a politician seeking a second term.
The president’s approval among independent voters was only 31 percent, which was tied for his lowest number since his inauguration.

Apr. 27, 2023 – A job listing on the IRS website revealed that the organization is still trying to hire armed, arrest-authorized “special agents” or criminal investigators in all 50 states.
“WE’RE HIRING SPECIAL AGENTS NOW!” states the IRS website in all caps.
“As a Special Agent you will combine your accounting skills with law enforcement skills to investigate financial crimes. Special Agents are duly sworn law enforcement officers who are trained to “follow the money.” No matter what the source, all income earned, both legal and illegal, has the potential of becoming involved in crimes which fall within the investigative jurisdiction of the IRS Criminal Investigation. Because of the expertise required to conduct these complex financial investigations, IRS Special Agents are considered the premier financial investigators for the Federal government,” according to the agency.
Below are the “Major Duties:”
- Adhere to the highest standards of conduct, especially in maintaining honesty and integrity.
- Work a minimum of 50 hours per week, which may include irregular hours, and be on-call 24/7, including holidays and weekends.
- Maintain a level of fitness necessary to effectively respond to life-threatening situations on the job.
- Be willing and able to participate in arrests, execution of search warrants, and other dangerous assignments.
- Carry a firearm; must be prepared to protect him/herself or others from physical attacks at any time and without warning and use firearms in life-threatening situations; must be willing to use force up to and including the use of deadly force.
The agency is hiring at least 360 armed agents in 249 locations around the country, according to the job posting.

April 26, 2023 2:56 pm ET – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he had ‘a long and meaningful phone call’ with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
Chinese leader Xi Jinping called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday, their first conversation since the Russian invasion more than a year ago, as Beijing attempts to portray itself as a potential peacemaker in the conflict.
China’s Foreign Ministry said it would send a special representative for Eurasian affairs to Ukraine and other countries “for in-depth communication with all parties on the political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.”
Mr. Zelensky said the two leaders had discussed ways to work together toward a “just and sustainable peace” for Ukraine during the hourlong conversation. He insisted that any settlement with Moscow must be based on the restoration of Ukraine’s borders to their status in 1991. “There can be no peace that is based on territorial compromises,” he said, according to his office’s account of the call.
Before its full-scale invasion of Ukraine last year, Russia had annexed the Crimean Peninsula and taken control over a swath of territory in the east of the country in 2014.
Mr. Zelensky said the call, as well as the appointment of a Ukrainian ambassador to China on Wednesday, would help develop ties between the two countries.
