What Is Happening in Sudan? The Fighting Explained

[T. Belman, Gen Burnham, the current leader of Sudan participated in the normalization agreement with Israel. The opposition was against it. So the fate of this power struggle has implications for Israel. Burnham paid $335 million in reparations to the US for “for victims of the bombings of the American embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998 and the USS Cole in 2000, ”Some suggest that the CIA is involved with the destabilization.]

A power struggle between generals has killed hundreds and trapped millions   By Nicholas Bariyo and Gabriele Steinhauser, WSJ

April 29, 2023 – A rivalry between Sudan’s top two generals erupted into warfare on April 15, pitting the East African country’s military against a state-sponsored militia called the Rapid Support Forces. The military is using jet fighters to strike RSF positions, many in densely populated areas, while both factions are engaging in street battles using guns and artillery fire. Tens of thousands of Sudanese have fled their homes, while millions are trapped in the capital Khartoum and elsewhere with diminishing supplies of food and water.]

Why is there fighting in Sudan?

Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, the commander of the military, and Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, who leads the RSF, joined forces in 2019 to oust Sudan’s longtime dictator, Omar al-Bashir, following months of popular protests. Two years later, they toppled a civilian transitional government that was meant to lead the country toward democratic elections.

As pressure from the United Nations, the U.S. and others grew in recent months to hand power back to civilian leaders, the two generals began jostling over who would ultimately control Sudan’s armed forces and companies stretching from agriculture to banking and mining that are owned by the military, the RSF and Gen. Dagalo’s family.

BREAKING: 27 Colorado Dems vote AGAINST making indecent exposure to minors a felony   Joshua Young

“These types of laws have been used to ban drag shows,” said Leslie Herod .

April 29, 2023 – On Saturday, the Colorado House of Representatives voted on HB23-1135, a bill introduced to increase the severity of indecent exposure in front of a minor to a class 6 felony, and 27 Democrats voted against the bill, with one saying she was concerned it would lead to the ban of drag shows.

State Representative Leslie Herod said, “These types of laws have been used to ban drag shows, to target individuals who use the restroom of the sex that they identify with—a public restroom—to charge them with felony charges. I am very concerned about the attacks against the transgender community that are happening across the country.”

[Ed.:  Since they oppose the bill against indecent exposure, it is evident that they know that drag shows for children are indecent. Yet they oppose banning it.  So, they admit to being child abusers.  As such, they need to be outlawed and taken off the streets altogether. They are violent with children and violent with those who oppose them.  This must be terminated. So the bill against indecent exposure should be changed to a bill against trans exposure, or any form of trans activism.  If I was a woman in a public restroom and one of them came in, I would pump his pervert body full of lead…]

The new bill, Senate Bill 147, would ban citizens from countries that have been named on the Director of National Intelligence’s National Threat Assessment for three years in a row, or more. The only nations that fall under that criteria would be China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea. However, lawful permanent residents and dual citizens would be exempted.

Senator Lois Kolkhorst (R-Texas.), who had introduced the bill, told Fox News that the bill is the balance that is needed, and that it is vital to the national security of the country.

World War III Watch: Russian Pilot Tries to ‘Dogfight’ American Jets to Provoke US   By Cristina Laila

Apr. 29, 2023 1:30 pm – *World War 3 Watch*

A Russian pilot tried to ‘dogfight’ American jets over Syria in an effort to provoke the US.

Russian pilots have been buzzing US fighter jets over the last several weeks.

This is the new norm under a Joe Biden presidency.

A nuclear power is trying to provoke the US and draw us into World War 3.

In March two Russian Su-27 aircraft attacked a US Reaper drone and dumped fuel on the drone over the Black Sea.

CCP-Tied Battery Plant Pushed By Democrats To Be Built Next To 3rd Largest Watershed In MI…Will Reportedly Consume Twice The Amount of Water Per Day As Major Water Bottling Plant  [VIDEO]   By Patty Mcmurray

Apr. 29, 2023 2:35 pm – 100 Percent Fed Up reports – On April 20, the Democrat-controlled MI Senate Appropriations Committee approved a plan to take $175 million from MI taxpayers who are already struggling to get by in a crushing economy and give it to Gotion, a Chinese electric battery manufacturer, as an incentive for them to build a new plant in Big Rapids, MI.

On April 3, 100 Percent Fed Up shared a guest contribution by U.S. Ambassador Joseph Cella (2019-2021) and U.S. Ambassador Peter Hoekstra (2018-2021), who previously served as a U.S. Congressman from 1993 to 2011, and as U.S. House Intelligence Chair from 2001-2011, who warned of the dangers of allowing Gotion and other Chinese battery factories to be built in Michigan.

Minnesota, Washington become ‘havens’ for out-of-state abortions, child ‘gender transitions’

Washington state Rep. Jim Walsh called the new laws ‘anti-family.’

April 28, 2023 – (LifeSiteNews) – On Thursday, the left-wing governments of Minnesota and Washington state have enacted laws to become “havens” for those seeking to thwart other states’ laws against abortion or gender “transitions.”

The Associated Press reports that on the same day, Democrat Govs. Tim Walz of Minnesota and Jay Inslee of Washington signed laws ensuring that their respective states’ judicial systems will not be used to cooperate with out-of-state warrants, subpoenas, court orders, or extradition requests pertaining to abortion restrictions or surgical or chemical “gender reassignment” procedures.

“Freedom of choice is a health care issue,” declared Inslee. “We are protecting access to health care.”

“Look, I don’t know how hard this concept is to understand,” said Walz. “When someone else is given basic rights, others don’t lose theirs. We’re not cutting a pie here. We’ve giving basic rights to every single Minnesotan.”

Minnesota DFL funded by 23 of America’s richest families   By Bill Glahn

These 23 collectively hold wealth of nearly $350 billion.

April 30, 2023 – (Center of the American Experiment) — 23 of America’s richest billionaire families donated to Minnesota Democrats (DFL) in the past three years. Collectively, they donated over $6.2 million to the Minnesota DFL in that time. These 23 collectively hold wealth of nearly $350 billion. That’s with a “b.”

Each year, the financial magazine Forbes publishes its famous list of the 400 richest Americans. Of the current 400, the following donated to Minnesota Democratic campaigns and political causes in the years 2020-22:

Senate DFLers vote to abandon Electoral College for national popular vote   By Hank Long –

Republicans unsuccessfully attempted to remove the national popular vote language from an omnibus elections policy bill that passed 34-33 on party lines.

April 29, 2023 – DFLers in the Minnesota House and Senate voted this month to transform American presidential elections by abandoning the Electoral College.

The Senate voted along party lines, 34-33, on Wednesday to pass an elections omnibus policy bill that includes a provision that would have Minnesota award its presidential electors to the candidate with the most votes nationwide. Republicans unsuccessfully tried to remove that language from the bill.

Last week the House passed an omnibus state government bill that included the national popular vote compact language. Because that language is included in two different omnibus bills, a series of Democrat controlled conference committees between the chambers will likely determine the fate of the measure.

Minnesota would join 15 other states in the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, and take the nation one step closer to electing the president by a national popular vote. It’s a departure from the long-standing Electoral College system, which has states award their allotted electoral votes based on the outcome of their individual statewide presidential elections. The national popular vote compact would have states who sign on award their electoral votes to the winner of the total votes accumulated across all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

Is it one national election, or 52 separate elections?

JPMorgan, PNC To Buy First Republic After FDIC Seizure First Leaves Taxpayers Holding The Toxic Stuff   BY TYLER DURDEN

FRIDAY, APR 28, 2023 – 10:10 PM – Update (2210ET):  As the weekend begins, the WSJ reports late on Friday that big banks including JPMorgan and PNC are set to buy First Republic Bank but not in a private, market-arranged deal but rather in a transaction that would follow a government seizure of the troubled lender. A seizure and sale of First Republic, which would wipe out the equity of FRC and potentially impose losses on creditors, could come as soon as this weekend, the WSJ sources said.

And so JPM, which is already the largest US bank is about to get even bigger, by scooping up all the good FRC assets while leaving US taxpayer holdings on to the toxic ones.

That said, it wasn’t immediately clear whether the $30 billion in deposits funneled by JPM and other banks into FRC will be treated as insured funds (why should they should be insured?), nor was it clear how a wipeout of this capital, which would spark a systemic crisis simply because the Fed is now running policy of “monetary tightening through bank collapse”, having failed to contain inflation and tighten policy using conventional means.

ASPCA gives only 2% of its budget to pet shelters, while promoting ‘radical and elitist’ anti-farmer policies, bombshell report finds   CANDACE HATHAWAY

April 28, 2023 – A think tank released a new bombshell report this week revealing that the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals only provides 2% of its total budget to pet shelters throughout the United States, despite having hundreds of millions of dollars and providing many employees with six-figure salaries.
The Center for the Environment and Welfare, a new think tank dedicated to sustainability and animal welfare, released a report exposing the ASPCA, a nonprofit organization formed to prevent animal cruelty, for deceptively using donors’ dollars to support “radical and elitist” anti-farmer policies instead of funding animal shelters.

In conjunction with the shocking report, the think tank announced the launch of a new media campaign to “expose the duplicity” of the ASPCA.

According to CEW, the ASPCA’s most recent tax filings revealed that the nonprofit had $390 million in revenue and $575 million in assets, including roughly $11 million in offshore Caribbean accounts.

“The same filings show that only about 2% of the ASPCA’s budget is given as grants to community pet shelters,” CEW reported.

The report alleged that 259 ASPCA employees made six-figure incomes, including the organization’s CEO, Matt Bershadker, who made $856,785.

Despite its misleading name, the ASPCA only operates one animal adoption center and is not affiliated with local SPCAs, CEW stated.

Trapped Americans In Sudan “Shocked & Disgusted” – Left By Biden To Fend For Themselves   BY TYLER DURDEN

“… It’s funny how the United States can invade countries at drop of a hat.. but rescue citizens? Apparently not. A prime question which remains concerning many of those among the 16,000 Americans (many of them dual nationals no doubt) is: where’s Joe Biden?”

FRIDAY, APR 28, 2023 – 10:02 PM – Update(1302ET)Sudan is continuing to stare into the abyss of full-blown civil war as the battle for control of the capital of Khartoum between two rival generals – now reaching the two week mark – results in a mounting death toll. Currently, dozens of countries have for days been racing to get their citizens out via military transport planes, ships, and via cross-border land routes into Ethiopia and neighboring countries, but not the United States.

A surprisingly blunt report voicing intense criticism toward the Biden administration has been issued by CNN Friday, which writes, “As the crisis in Sudan continues to unfold, there is mounting anger among Americans who feel abandoned by the US government and left to navigate the complicated and dangerous situation on their own.”

CNN further points out that robust evacuation efforts are underway by many other countries. As we detailed below, a C-130 evac flight sent by Turkey even took on small arms fire while landing outside the capital. And the Chinese government has said it has successfully evacuated at least 1,300 of its nationals thus far, with state media confirming evacuation operations ongoing by “land and sea”.

“I am incredibly shocked and disgusted by the American lackluster response to the health and safety of their citizens,” Muna Daoud told CNN, whose parents were forced to exit via Port Sudan to Saudi Arabia. And CNN follows with this:

Despite a number of nations evacuating their citizens, the US government has continued to say that the conditions are not conducive to a civilian evacuation. All US government personnel were evacuated in a military operation this weekend. US officials have said they are in “close communication” with US citizens and “actively facilitating” their departure from Sudan.

However, CNN spoke with multiple people whose family members are among the “dozens” of Americans who want to leave Sudan, and they said the State Department has provided “barely any assistance” since the deadly violence between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and Rapid Support Forces (RSF) broke out more than a week ago.

Another American stuck in Sudan called the embassy and State Department “useless”. “To be honest with you, the State Department was useless, utterly useless throughout this entire period,” a man named Imad said in an interview. “We expected the Department to provide some kind of guidance, but the guidance was the template, just shelter in place, no critical information being provided.”
