According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the quake’s epicenter included the area of Donald Trump’s National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
Much like other areas on the East Coast, there have been no reported damages at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster due to the quake.
Trump National Golf Club Bedminster is located just 7 miles from Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, where the earthquake was first reported to strike.

The earthquake occurred around roughly 10:26 a.m.
April 5, 2024 10:40am – A4.8 magnitude earthquake hit New Jersey on Friday and was felt across the Northeast, including as far away as Wilmington, Delaware according to news reports.
According to the U.S Geological Survey, the earthquake occurred at 10:23 a.m. ET, north of Trenton and about 46 miles west of New York City.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul wrote on the social media platform, X that her team will be accessing the impact of what happened and will update the public throughout the day.
As of roughly 11 a.m., there were no reports of injuries or damage.

THURSDAY, APR 04, 2024 – 06:31 PM -With Israel’s embassies around the world on a heightened state of alert, and extra IDF reservists called up, and home and weekend leave for all combat troops having been abruptly canceled Thursday, the Israeli population is anxiously awaiting a response – with some reports saying residents are already seeking the safety of bomb shelters.
Tehran has vowed that vengeance is coming soon for the Monday Israeli airstrike on its embassy in Damascus. Most pundits believe this will take the form of ballistic missiles raining down on Israeli cities. But Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu is reportedly vowing that if the Islamic Republic launches missiles from its soil it will ensure “a strong response” from Israel.
Israeli officials have told Axios late in the day that such an act would “take the current conflict to another level” — which most certainly would involve a direct Israel-Iran war and thus the eruption of a broader regional conflict. Axios adds the following observations:
- Iranian proxies in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Gaza have attacked Israel but there hasn’t been an attack from Iranian soil.
- A direct Iranian strike on Israel would be unprecedented and could lead to a regional war in the Middle East.
Netanyahu informed his security cabinet Thursday that Israel’s forces have already been engaged with Iran “both directly and via its proxies, and therefore Israel is operating against Iran and its proxies, both defensively and offensively.”
A statement issued by the prime minister’s office laid out: “We will know how to defend ourselves and will operate according to the basic principle of whoever is harming or planning to harm us — we will harm him.” The White House has meanwhile issued a statement shortly after Biden and Netanyahu discussed the Gaza crisis, saying “President Biden made clear that the United States strongly supports Israel in the face of those [Iranian] threats.”
There have meanwhile been unverified reports to emerge saying that the CIA has warned Israel to expect an attack from Iran within the next 48 hours, which has also been picked up in Israeli press.
At this point Israel’s ties with key Gulf countries like the UAE are near breaking point, after only a few short years ago diplomatic normalization was hailed through Trump’s Abraham accords. But international and Israeli press reports are confirming the UAE has announced it is halting all coordination on humanitarian aid with Israel.
Further, as Israeli media reports: “The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced a suspension of diplomatic coordination with Israel in the wake of the death of seven World Central Kitchen humanitarian workers in Gaza.” Simultaneously, Israel is busy putting its embassies across the world on high security alert due to the “heightened Iranian response threat” in wake of Monday’s Israeli attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus. The emergency response was executed within seconds after the Harbor Pilots on the bridge of the Dali declared a mayday and possible impact with the bridge. Traffic was stopped on each end, but a work crew on the spans did not have enough time to depart the bridge before it collapsed and appear to have been killed.

So, as NATO turns 75, what can Secretary Blinken offer to the nearly collapsing Ukrainian allies? Promises. That’s all.

“U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Thursday that Ukraine will eventually join NATO as support for the country remains “rock solid” among member states.
‘Ukraine will become a member of NATO. Our purpose at the summit is to help build a bridge to that membership’, Blinken told reporters in Brussels.”
AP headline is perhaps a bit more truthful: NATO marks its 75th birthday as Russia’s war in Ukraine gnaws at its unity.
There is no money, no ammunition, no missiles or planes. And, fundamentally, there are no troops for the continuation of the war.
But there are words. And promises.
Among the Secretary Blinken’s Remarks: “I think it’s safe to say that the support for Ukraine, the determination of every country represented here at NATO remains rock solid.”
So no NATO now, they’ll talk again in the summer, on the summit in Washington celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Alliance.
“Ukraine will become a member of NATO. Our purpose of the summit is to help build a bridge to that membership and to create a clear pathway for Ukraine moving forward.
[…] The final point is this: The fight that Ukraine has on its hands is not only Ukraine’s fight; it’s everyone’s fight.”
So, no NATO in the summer – just a ‘bridge’, a ‘pathway’. It’s unclear if Ukrainian troops will hold the lines until the summer, let alone wait for elusive promises in the distant future.

The alarm was raised following reports of the virus being found in multiple species, including cows, cats, and humans, which could potentially accelerate the virus’s mutation to become more transmissible among humans.
In March 2024, testing for influenza was conducted on several animals in Texas and Kansas due to signs of illness. These animals included wild birds, cats, and dairy cows. Some of these tests returned positive for avian influenza A(H5N1), marking the first time the virus has been detected in cattle within the United States.

On Monday, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) issued a health alert after confirming the first human case of the novel avian influenza A(H5N1) in the state.
“The patient became ill following contact with dairy cows presumed to be infected with avian influenza. The patient’s primary symptom was conjunctivitis. This is the second case of avian influenza A(H5N1) identified in a person in the United States and is believed to be associated with the recent detections of avian influenza A(H5N1) in dairy cows announced by the Texas Animal Health Commission,” according to DSHS.
During a recent briefing, scientists highlighted the increasing risk of the H5N1 bird flu strain turning into a pandemic.
The meeting, attended by leading bird flu researchers, medical professionals, and government officials, was convened in response to the human bird flu case and organized by John Fulton, a vaccine consultant and pharmaceutical industry expert, according to Daily Mail.
“This appears to be 100 times worse than Covid, or it could be if it mutates and maintains its high case fatality rate,” said Fulton. “Once it’s mutated to infect humans, we can only hope that the [fatality rate] drops.”
Dr. Suresh Kuchipudi, a notable figure in bird flu research, warned of the virus’s potential for a pandemic, highlighting its global distribution and ability to infect a variety of mammals, including humans.
“And now we are getting dangerously close to this virus potentially causing a pandemic,” Kuchipudi said.
“H5N1 viruses have already demonstrated several important features of a potential pandemic virus. So these are, the virus is already globally distributed, and this virus particularly, that is often perceived as an avian virus, it can, and it has shown, the ability to infect a range of mammalian hosts including humans.
“We are not really talking about a virus that is yet to make a jump, we are talking about a virus that is globally present, already infecting a range of mammals and is circulating. So, therefore, in my view, I think this is a virus that has the greatest pandemic threat [that is] playing out in plain sight and is globally present. It is really high time that we are prepared,” he added.
According to the World Health Organization, the H5N1 fatality rate stands at an alarming 52 percent, a stark contrast to the less than 0.1 percent mortality rate of Covid-19. The concern is that if H5N1 becomes easily transmitted among humans while maintaining its high fatality rate, the consequences could be dire.

Just last month, on March 2, 2024, Putin warned the West during his annual “The State of Russia” speech.
Obviously, the Biden Administration ignored this warning.
Putin noted that while accusing Russia of plans to attack NATO allies in Europe, Western allies were “selecting targets for striking our territory” and “talking about the possibility of sending a NATO contingent to Ukraine.”
“We remember the fate of those who sent their troop contingents to the territory of our country,” the Russian leader said in an apparent allusion to the failed invasions by Napoleon and Hitler. “Now the consequences for the potential invaders will be far more tragic.”
In a two-hour speech before an audience of lawmakers and top officials, Putin cast Western leaders as reckless and irresponsible and declared that the West should keep in mind that “we also have the weapons that can strike targets on their territory, and what they are now suggesting and scaring the world with, all that raises the real threat of a nuclear conflict that will mean the destruction of our civilization.”
Putin’s remarks were not “off-the-cuff.” It was a carefully crafted message directed specifically at Biden and NATO leaders and came in the wake off French President Macron’s incredibly tone-deaf speech earlier in the week:
French President Emmanuel Macron said Monday that sending Western troops on the ground in Ukraine is not “ruled out” in the future after the issue was debated at a gathering of European leaders in Paris, as Russia’s full-scale invasion grinds into a third year.
The French leader said that “we will do everything needed so Russia cannot win the war” after the meeting of over 20 European heads of state and government and other Western officials.
“There’s no consensus today to send in an official, endorsed manner troops on the ground. But in terms of dynamics, nothing can be ruled out,” Macron said in a news conference at the Elysee presidential palace.

This comes one week after Iranian-backed Houthis attempted to shoot down a US drone in the region and one month after Iran-backed Hamas terrorists slaughtered 1,400 Jews in Israel and took another 240 Jews hostage.
It was the deadliest attack on Jews since World War II.
Joe Biden ignored the massacre in order to open the door and help Iran bring in another $10 billion in the next few months.

The Biden administration has extended by four months a sanctions waiver that will allow Iraq to continue to purchase electricity from Iran and gives Iran limited access to the proceeds to buy humanitarian goods.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken signed the 120-day waiver extension and it was transmitted to Congress on Tuesday, U.S. officials said. The move is likely to draw criticism from Iran hawks on Capitol Hill and elsewhere who believe the extension will reward Iran at a time when it is coming under increasing pressure to end its support for proxy groups, including Hamas, that are destabilizing the Middle East.
There is roughly $10 billion in Iraqi payments for Iranian electricity currently being held in escrow accounts in Iraq, and the waiver will allow Baghdad to maintain its energy imports without fear of U.S. penalties for violating sanctions on Iran.
Joe Biden has now gifted the Iranian regime with $80 billion since entering the White House.
Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) told FOX News a month ago in October that Joe Biden and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen gave $3.5 billion to Iran through the International Monetary Fund several months ago.
This was not part of the $6 billion that Biden recently gifted the Iranian mullahs.

Senator Kennedy spoke out about another transfer of money to the Iranian regime back in 2021. Kennedy argued in a letter to Janet Yellen that the Biden administration’s plan would ultimately result in China receiving $22 billion, Russia receiving $18 billion and Iran receiving $3.5 billion.
But that’s not all; according to The Daily Signal’s calculations, Iran has received approximately $70 billion more under Biden than it would have under Trump.
The mullahs must love Joe Biden. No one has been more generous to this killer regime.

In a January 2019 entry, Ashley Biden recalled how she used to shower with her father, Joe Biden, and suggested it may have contributed to a sex addiction.
The diary describes Ashley and her father Joe Biden taking showers together at an inappropriate age.
“I have always been boy crazy,’ Ashley wrote. ‘Hyper-sexualized @ a young age … I remember somewhat being sexualized with [a family member]; I remember having sex with friends @ a young age; showers w/ my dad (probably not appropriate).’ she wrote in a January 2019 entry, according to the Daily Mail.
James O’Keefe was later the victim of a late-night FBI raid and was arrested by the Biden regime.
The two individuals who found Ashley Biden’s diary at a halfway house pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit interstate transportation of stolen property.
And Joe Biden’s DOJ is using their guilty pleas to go after Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe.

PFAS, known for their persistence in the environment and in human bodies, have been linked to a slew of health issues, including cancer, immune system disruption, and reproductive problems.
Mamavation’s inquiry into the presence of PFAS in bandages was conducted in partnership with Environmental Health News and received scientific validation from notable experts such as Terrence Collins of Carnegie Mellon University and Linda S. Birnbaum, former director of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. The study entailed sending 40 bandages from 18 different brands to an EPA-certified laboratory to test for the presence of PFAS.
The results were alarming: 65% of the tested bandages contained detectable levels of PFAS, with concentrations ranging from 11 to 328 parts per million (ppm).
Particularly concerning was the discovery that 63% of bandages marketed towards “people of color” contained these hazardous chemicals.
PFAS, or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, have long been used for their oil-resistant, grease-resistant, and water-resistant properties, according to the FDA. While they are known for their durability, their presence in everyday items has become a major concern due to their potential link to numerous health issues.

Alzayat attended last year’s event, but he declined an invitation to break his fast with Mr. Biden this year, saying, “It’s inappropriate to do such a celebration while there’s a famine going on in Gaza.”
After rejections from Alzayat and others, he said the White House adjusted its plans Monday, telling community leaders it wanted to host a meeting focused on administration policy. Alzayat still said no, believing that one day wasn’t enough time to prepare for an opportunity to sway Mr. Biden’s mind on the conflict.
The boycott reflects the growing anger among America’s Muslims communities about Biden’s lukewarm for Israel’s war against Hamas.

While veterans in the state continue to face homelessness, Healey is putting illegals ahead of those who have served our nation.
Chelsea Soldiers’ Home website shares that while in operation, veterans paid between $10-30 dollars a day to live at the facility.
Illegals, however, will be housed entirely on the taxpayer’s dime.
Secretary of Veterans Services Dr. Jon Santiago told The Boston Herald that the new migrant facility would not impact veteran services.
“Massachusetts has proven that we can take care of veterans and families experiencing homelessness in our state,” he said.
The Veterans Home at Chelsea will become a “safety-net site” for migrants where, beginning May 1, they will have to prove they are working to wean off government assistance by applying for work authorizations, learning English and searching for permanent residency.
Massachusetts resident George Belmonte said on social media, “I can’t believe the Chelsea Soldiers’ Home, which is for the Vets, is going to [be] used for the immigrants overflow. How about taking care of the homeless vets first? I am all for helping people but how about taking care of those already here and homeless.”

Apr 2, 2024, 12:30 AM EDT NEW YORK (AP) — Donald Trump posted a $175 million bond on Monday in his New York civil fraud case, halting collection of the more than $454 million he owes and preventing the state from seizing his assets to satisfy the debt while he appeals, according to a court filing.
A New York appellate court had given the former president 10 days to put up the money after a panel of judges agreed last month to slash the amount needed to stop the clock on enforcement.
The bond Trump is posting with the court now is essentially a placeholder, meant to guarantee payment if the judgment is upheld. If that happens, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee will have to pay the state the whole sum, which grows with daily interest.
If Trump wins, he won’t have to pay the state anything and will get back the money he has put up now.
“As promised, President Trump has posted bond. He looks forward to vindicating his rights on appeal and overturning this unjust verdict,” said one of Trump’s lawyers, Alina Habba.
Until the appeals court intervened to lower the required bond, New York Attorney General Letitia James had been poised to initiate efforts to collect the judgment, possibly by seizing some of Trump’s marquee properties. James, a Democrat, brought the lawsuit on the state’s behalf. Her office declined to comment Monday.
The court ruled after Trump’s lawyers complained it was “a practical impossibility” to get an underwriter to sign off on a bond for the $454 million, plus interest, that he owes.
The company that underwrote the bond is Knight Specialty Insurance, which is part of the Knight Insurance Group. The chairman of that company, billionaire Don Hankey, told The Associated Press that both cash and bonds were used as collateral for Trump’s appellate bond.
“This is what we do at Knight Insurance, and we’re happy to do this for anyone who needs a bond,” said Hankey, who is best known in the business world for making high-risk, high-interest loans to car buyers with flawed credit histories. Hankey told the AP he has never met or spoken with Trump.
Trump is fighting to overturn a judge’s Feb. 16 finding that he lied about his wealth as he fostered the real estate empire that launched him to stardom and the presidency. The trial focused on how Trump’s assets were valued on financial statements that went to bankers and insurers to get loans and deals.
Trump denies any wrongdoing, saying the statements actually lowballed his fortune, came with disclaimers and weren’t taken at face value by the institutions that lent to or insured him.
The state courts’ Appellate Division has said it would hear arguments in September. A specific date has not been set. If the schedule holds, it will fall in the final weeks of the presidential race.

In a series of short videos on TikTok, Moreno bragged about receiving ‘stacks of cash’ from American taxpayers and urged other illegal aliens to take advantage of all the free money progressives were handing out. He has thanked “Papa Biden” for the free cash.
“You’re hurt because I make more than you without much work while you work like slaves, understand?” he said in another video, noting, “That’s the difference between you and me. I’m always going to make lots of money without much work, and you’re always going to be exploited and miserable and insignificant.”
Moreno even encouraged other illegal aliens to invade American homes under squatting laws: “I learned that there is a law that says if a house is not inhabited, then we can take it … and here in the United States, terrain deformation also applies, and I think that will be my next business: invade abandoned houses.”
Thanks to President Biden’s disastrous open southern borders, Moreno crossed into the country illegally in early 2022 through Eagle Pass, Texas. He skipped out on his initial check-in with ICE.
In a statement on Friday, The Epoch Times quoted ICE officials who said Moreno was caught in the suburban Columbus area of Gahanna.

‘Operation Anti-Migrant’: Russia Starts Mass Deporting Muslims After Moscow Concert Massacre By Ben Kew
Apr. 1, 2024 7:00 am – Russian authorities have begun deporting large numbers of Muslims in the wake of last week’s deadly Islamist state attack at a Moscow concert hall, in an effort that has been reportedly dubbed “Operation Anti-Migrant.”
According to The Moscow Times, anti-Islamic sentiment has soared in the aftermath of the attack, in which at least 144 people were killed and hundreds of more were wounded or in critical condition. Islamic State has since claimed responsibility for the massacre.
The Times notes:
Authorities in St. Petersburg have been deporting migrants en masse in the week since the deadly attack on a Moscow region concert hall, the legal rights group Perviy Otdel said Friday. More than 64 foreigners were deported from the city’s Vyborgsky district on Thursday alone, the NGO said, citing one of its unidentified lawyers.
A number of buses carrying migrants were also headed to St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo International Airport on Friday afternoon, they added. The countries where the migrants were being sent to were not specified, though it is known that labor migrants in Russia mostly hail from poor Central Asian countries.
The four men accused of carrying out the attack were from Tajikistan, a majority Muslim country that does not share a border with Russia.

Russia is deporting hundreds of foreigners for immigration violations in the wake of the deadliest terrorist attack in nearly two decades. Meanwhile, many Tajik migrant workers are leaving the country on their own accord, fearing an increase in xenophobia.
Russian law enforcement has carried out sweeping checks of immigrants in the country after gunmen on March 22 killed 144 people at a concert hall near Moscow. Four of the suspected gunmen are Tajik citizens.
Courts in St. Petersburg this week ruled to deport 418 foreign citizens while another 48 must leave on their own accord, spokeswoman Daria Lebedeva said in a post on Telegram. The foreigners were rounded up in Russia’s second-largest city during broad searches of vehicles along major thoroughfares. Other cities are carrying out checks of migrant workers as well.
Islam is officially recognized in Russia as one of the country’s sanctioned religions, while Muslims represent around 14 percent of the its overall population.

PURE EVIL: Individual Sets Trailer Full of Bibles on Fire in Front of a Tennessee Church on Easter Sunday By Cullen Linebarger
Mar. 31, 2024 7:30 pm – A sinister individual committed a heinous and criminal act in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee on Easter Sunday.
As WSMV 4 News reported, Wilson County deputies responded to a trailer fire at Old Lebanon Dirt Road and Chandler Road around 6 a.m. Easter Sunday. Mt. Juliet Fire Department crews contained and extinguished the fire, but not before the Bibles in the trailer burned.
Police revealed the trailer of Bibles was left in the middle of the intersection near Global Vision Bible Church and then intentionally set on fire. They did not reveal the person’s race or gender.
Sheriff Robert Bryan told News Channel 5 Nashville that investigators are reviewing the security footage, and said the car appears to be an out-of-state plate.
Global Vision Bible Church is headed by Pastor Greg Locke, who is a prominent Christian Conservative and supporter of President Trump. He has made a number of politically incorrect statements targeting Democrats and transgenderism.
Locke said in a Facebook post that his security team caught a man dropping off the trailer who then got out and set the trailer of Bibles on fire in front of the church. He also claimed that a woman drove through the night and was able to alert police quickly.

Locke told WKRN he was shocked when he saw the burned Bibles. He also said the suspect was “very meticulous” and called the act a “rebellious statement” toward Global Vision Bible Church.
“It was strange because he had his blinkers on, and he scotched the wheels and everything,” Locke said. “He was very meticulous, so he had to be very courageous to do what he did.”
“We’ve had people do things to our building, we’ve been vandalized a number of times, hence why we have to have security, but never 200 Bibles being burned. That’s a pretty rebellious statement towards the church.”

Chilling: They Can’t Even Train AI to Be More Conservative Than It Is Leftist By C. Douglas Golden
Mar. 31, 2024 8:00 pm – I don’t think I need to tell you, when Google’s Gemini AI has been spitting out images of black female founding fathers, that generative AI is hopelessly woke. The assumption, of course, was that Silicon Valley progressives were the ones behind this sinister social engineering and that, deeply embedded in the code for ChatGPT was the formula to destroy conservatism, faith and the nuclear family for good.
However, there’s a more troubling prospect raised by a pre-publication study done regarding the political biases of generative AI platforms. To quote Walt Kelly: “We have met the enemy, and he is us.” Or, at least, “us” being the liberal media establishment.
On Thursday, The New York Times published an opinion piece titled “How AI Chatbots Became Political.” Despite this being the Gray Lady, itself essentially an AI chatbot that has become very political, the piece was actually worth reading as an explainer to why current AI bots skew left — and how a recent study seemed to indicate that these bots couldn’t be trained to be more conservative than leftist if they were fed partisan material.
But first, let’s start off with how commercial chatbots end up being liberal: “Access to open-source versions of A.I. models allows us to see how a model’s political preferences develop,” the Times noted. “During the initial base training phase, most models land close to the political center on both axes, as they initially ingest huge amounts of training data — more or less everything A.I. companies can get their hands on — drawing from across the political spectrum.
“Models then undergo a second phase called fine-tuning. It makes the model a better chat partner, training it to have maximally pleasant and helpful conversations while refraining from causing offense or harm, like outputting pornography or providing instructions for building weapons.
“Companies use different fine-tuning methods, but they’re generally a hands-on process that offers greater opportunity for individual decisions by the workers involved to shape the direction of the models. At this point, more significant differences emerge in the political preferences of the A.I. systems.”

In response, AT&T has reset the passcodes for the 7.6 million current account holders who were affected.
“It has come to our attention that a number of AT&T passcodes have been compromised. We are reaching out to all 7.6M impacted customers and have reset their passcodes. In addition, we will be communicating with current and former account holders with compromised sensitive personal information,” according to the statement.
“Our internal teams are working with external cybersecurity experts to analyze the situation. To the best of our knowledge, the compromised data appears to be from 2019 or earlier and does not contain personal financial information or call history.”
“We encourage customers to remain vigilant by monitoring account activity and credit reports. You can set up free fraud alerts from nationwide credit bureaus — Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. You can also request and review your free credit report at any time via Freecreditreport.com,” the statement added.

The company announced in a statement that the outage was not a cyberattack but an unspecified coding error caused by “the application and execution of an incorrect process used as we were expanding our network.”
The “incorrect process in question” is related to a software update gone awry. Moreover, according to ABC News, the outage was not caused by an external actor.

Live Science reported, “The rare double cicada brood will include the two of the largest cicada broods, Brood XIII and XIX, which will co-emerge en mass after having lived underground for 17 and 13 years.”
The last time a massive periodical brood occurred was in 1803, when Thomas Jefferson was President.
The rare mating frenzy won’t happen again until 2244.

Rolla Abdeljawad, an Oklahoma resident, encountered three FBI agents at her doorstep, inquiring about her Facebook posts.
Abdeljawad’s lawyer, Hassan Shibly, took to social media to post a video of the interaction. The video, which surfaced online on Wednesday, portrays a tense exchange.
In the video, Abdeljawad declines to speak with the agents and requests that they show their badges on camera, a request the agents did not fulfill. Abdeljawad later verified with local police that the individuals were indeed FBI agents.
“Facebook gave us a couple of screenshots of your account,” one agent, donned in a gray shirt, informed Abdeljawad.
Challenging the agents, Abdeljawad questioned the principles of free speech, to which a second agent, clothed in a red shirt, responded reassuringly yet revealed the frequency of such interrogations.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ subpoenas — all bearing Diddy’s real name, Sean Combs — were sent this week to various providers tied to the rapper, including his private charter jet, phone providers and computer companies.
We’re told the subpoenas were fired off by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York … which, as we’ve reported, is running the investigation.

“US-59 south of Sallisaw at the Kerr Reservoir is completely shut down at this time due to a barge that has struck the bridge. Troopers are diverting traffic away from the area. The bridge is going to be shut down until inspections of the bridge can be made,” Oklahoma Highway Patrol said on Saturday.
Engineers reportedly inspected the bridge and reopened it for travel later Saturday.

Now, the team has restarted the LHC after a two-year hibernation with hopes of unraveling more mysterious – specifically dark matter.
Scientists began preliminary tests by sending billions of protons around the LHC’s ring of superconducting magnets to boost their energy and ensure the $4 billion machine was in working condition.
And next month, CERN will shoot them down a 17-mile-long tunnel at nearly the speed of light to recreate conditions a second after the Big Bang.
Joshua Ruderman, a physics professor at New York University, has described the LHC as “a particle creation machine and a particle discovery machine.”
CERN has not received a favorable opinion from the public eye in the last two decades.
In 2004, CERN received backlash after placing a Shiva Statue outside its headquarters in Switzerland.
