Democrat Senator Introduces “Ministry of Truth” Bill that Would Create a Federal Agency to Target Americans for “Misinformation” and “Hate Speech” – Violators Would Potentially Face Civil Penalties By Cullen Linebarger

A Democrat senator introduced legislation that would create a federal agency that would censor Americans’ speech for “misinformation” and “hate speech” reasons. Think of this as a federal ministry of truth.
The bill, brought forth by Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO), is titled the Digital Platform Commission Act (DPCA). He claims his proposed legislation would “create an expert federal body empowered to provide comprehensive, sector-specific regulation of digital platforms to protect consumers, promote competition, and defend the public interest.”

California Officials Launch Four Separate Investigations After 30-Ton Shipment of Explosive Chemicals Goes Missing By Jim Hoft
May 19, 2023 1:55 pm – California authorities have launched four separate investigations following the disappearance of a 30-ton shipment of explosive chemicals last month, KQED reported.
On April 12, a railcar loaded with 60,000 pounds of ammonium nitrate, a chemical used as both fertilizer and explosives, departed from a Dyno Nobel manufacturing plant near Cheyenne, Wyoming en route to Saltdale, California.
The chemical was reported missing from the shipment two weeks later, and no one knows what really happened.
On May 10, the company Dyno Nobel notified the federal government’s National Response Center, also known as the NRC. Last Wednesday, the complaint was also included in an NRC database of California incidents maintained by the state Office of Emergency Services.
This incident has raised serious concerns regarding public safety and security. The missing chemicals could potentially pose a significant threat if they fall into the wrong hands. [Emphasis added]

May 18, 2023 – Today’s Oversight Hearing on the Weaponization of the FBI targeting conservatives (more on that here and here) ended with this bombshell testimony. Multiple whistleblowers from within the FBI testified today against the agency’s leadership, describing obscene abuses of power.
These men risked and lost everything to come forward and tell the truth. Their whole lives have been dedicated to service to this country and they have been destroyed.
Here is the closing testimony from FBI Special Agent Garrett O’Boyle, O’Boyle was most recently tly in the FBI Kansas City field office. Prior to becoming an FBI agent, Mr. Boyle served our nation as an infantryman in the United States Army for six years in the Army, Mr. O’Boyle was deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan. He received numerous service awards including the Combat Infantryman Badge, Mr. O’Boyle received an honorable discharge from the army upon leaving, Mr. O’Boyle continued his commitment to public service serving as a police officer in Waukesha, Wisconsin for four years. Mr. O’Boyle joined the FBI in 2018. As an FBI agent, Mr. Boyle was selected to serve on the Joint Terrorism Task Force and the SWAT team. Mr. O’Boyle graduated Summa laude from Marquette University with a degree in criminology and Law Studies yet the FBI questions his loyalty to the Constitution into our country.
May 19, 2023 – Special counsel John Durham on Monday released his report on the FBI’s role in investigating the 2016 Donald Trump campaign’s alleged collusion with Russia. This investigation, codenamed “Crossfire Hurricane,” had been—according to Durham’s report—”swiftly” opened as a full-blown investigation in response to “unevaluated intelligence information” by FBI personnel “without ever having spoken to the persons who provided the information.”
Durham shows that the investigation had been pushed forward largely by FBI agent Peter Strzok, a man known to be politically hostile to candidate Trump. Durham also notes a curious difference between the FBI’s enthusiasm for investigating Trump, and the agency’s more cautious procedures used in investigating the Hillary Clinton campaign:
The speed and manner in which the FBI opened and investigated Crossfire Hurricane during the presidential election season based on raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence also reflected a noticeable departure from how it approached prior matters involving possible attempted foreign election interference plans aimed at the Clinton campaign.
Durham went on to conclude that
An objective and honest assessment of these strands of information should have caused the FBI to question not only the predication for Crossfire Hurricane, but also to reflect on whether the FBI was being manipulated for political or other purposes. Unfortunately, it did not.
Rather, the FBI engaged in a “lack of analytical rigor, apparent confirmation bias, and an over-willingness to rely on information from individuals connected to political opponents.”
All in all, the Durham report paints a picture of a highly unprofessional FBI that apparently green-lights investigations based on agents’ political agendas and on politically convenient rumors. Durham sums it up: The FBI and Justice Department “failed to uphold their mission of strict fidelity to the law.”

In a joint news release on Wednesday, it was announced that Cruz and Blackburn would be calling on “the beer industry’s self-regulatory body — the Beer Institute — to investigate whether Anhueser-Busch’s partnership with influencer Dylan Mulvaney violates the Beer Institute’s guidelines prohibiting marketing to underage individuals.”

Bud Light Sales Crash “Getting Much Worse” In Latest Week Since Dylan Mulvaney Fiasco by Tom Ozimek
THURSDAY, MAY 18, 2023 – 07:20 AM – The latest industry figures show that Bud Light’s sales slump deepened into May as the fallout from the brand’s engagement with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney continues to hammer Bud Light’s bottom line.
Sales volumes of Bud Light fell by 23.6 percent in the week ended on May 6, according to retail scanner numbers cited by Beer Business Daily that are based on Nielsen IQ data.
That’s a drop from the 23.3 percent slide Bud Light suffered in the final week of April.
“Trends aren’t getting much worse, but certainly not getting any better either,” Beer Business Daily said in a commentary on the data, which represented a further decline from the 23.3 percent sales drop Bud Light suffered in the last week of April.
Meanwhile, sales volumes for Anheuser-Busch, the company that makes Bud Light, fell 9.7 percent in the first week of May, a slight improvement over the 11.4 percent drop the week prior, the industry data showed.
Anheuser-Busch did not immediately return a request for comment.

Now we learn, thanks to the Durham report, that the FBI had three concurrent investigations into the Clinton Foundation, which were shut down during the 2016 election year by top brass.

Durham’s scope included the FBI investigations “directed” at the Hillary Clinton campaign. It seems the purpose of that review was to assess and compare the favorable treatment received by Clinton to the targeting of Trump.

THURSDAY, MAY 18, 2023 – 07:45 AM – Throughout most of 2022, consumers were left aghast in supermarkets at the soaring cost of eggs. However, since the end of December, prices have crashed, providing much-needed relief to cash-strapped consumers battered by two years of negative real wage growth.
We first identified the reversal in egg prices in a Feb. 8 note titled “We’ve Got Great News: Wholesale Egg Prices “Collapse””. This was followed by “Egg Prices Finally Fall After Months Of Non-Stop Price Spikes” in March and “Eggflation Ends With Cal-Maine Shares Down The Most Since 2008″ in April.
Now new data from Urner Barry, a market research firm that tracks wholesale food prices, shows its Urner Barry Egg Index continues to plunge. Since peaking at $4.65 per dozen on Dec. 19, wholesale prices are now at .49.
Karyn Rispoli, a senior egg market analyst at Urner Barry, told CNN that wholesale prices began tumbling in late March as prices just hit annual lows earlier this month and have stayed there.
