Iran’s Truck Drivers’ Strike Sweeps 163 Cities, Dozens Arrested
Families Pressured to Remain Silent to Obtain Release of Loved Ones
Largest Labor Protests in Years Gain Momentum as Strike Enters Third Week
June 4, 2025 Iran Human Rights — A nationwide truck drivers’ strike in Iran has entered its third week, spreading to at least 163 cities, making it one of the country’s largest labor protests in recent years. Despite arrests and intimidation by authorities—at least 40 drivers and supporters had been arrested as of June 3—the truck drivers have remained steadfast, disrupting major transport routes and gaining broad public support throughout Iran.
“The Iranian government’s crackdown on a peaceful grassroots labor movement reveals its deep fear of ordinary people uniting for their rights,” said Hadi Ghaemi, executive director of the Center for Human Rights in Iran (CHRI).
“Simply for demanding the ability to make a meagre living, dozens of truck drivers are being arrested and their families threatened, but this has only served to solidify their resolve and amass broader societal support,” said Ghaemi.
“These truck drivers aren’t just fighting for themselves, they’re exposing systemic injustices in Iran that affect millions. This could mark the beginning of a larger wave of societal resistance led by Iran’s workers,” Ghaemi added.
The drivers began striking on May 22 in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas, one of Iran’s most critical transportation and shipping hubs, which was rocked by a massive explosion in April. Drivers are protesting against mounting economic pressures, including low fares, rising insurance costs, low freight rates, a proposed fuel price hike, deteriorating livelihoods, and the Iranian government’s disregard for their demands.
In Iran, peaceful labor activism is criminalized—independent unions are not recognized, labor leaders are imprisoned, and workers risk arrest for strikes or peaceful protest.
CHRI calls on international trade associations, the International Labor Organization (ILO), UN bodies, and governments worldwide to demand that the Iranian authorities:
- Immediately release all truck drivers and supporters who have been detained in the context of peaceful demonstrations or strikes;
- Open dialogue with the truck drivers to address their legitimate demands;
- Cease the criminalization of independent labor activities;
- Release all imprisoned labor leaders.
In an interview with CHRI, a civil rights activist inside Iran said:
“Most of the arrested drivers don’t even own their trucks. They work with rented vehicles and come from economically marginalized backgrounds. They’re voiceless, and even contacting their families is difficult. Authorities often tell families to stay silent to secure the detainees’ release.”
Some detainees, the activist added, were arrested just for showing support. The activist noted that the strikes were entirely spontaneous, not led by any union or political group, which made it harder for the government to respond using its usual repressive playbook of targeting organized labor.
In an interview with CHRI, a truck driver working primarily in eastern Iran said:
“These strikes have affected other people too, like farmers and manufacturers. But the reality is, we’re not the cause of the crisis—we’re victims of it too. Just as farmers struggle to survive and keep their livelihoods, so do we. When truckers strike to defend their rights, they’re defending the same rights taken from others.
“Even bakers are striking in some cities. Sure, it might make access to daily bread harder for families, but people know that without protest, the harm will be much worse for everyone.”
Violent Police Tactics Used Against Striking Drivers
At least 40 truck drivers and supporters have been arrested in cities across Iran as of June 3 and the whereabouts and conditions of many of them unknown. The National Union of Truckers and Drivers has demanded the release of their colleagues and reported violent police tactics against striking drivers in some cities.
“Along with making various promises, the authorities continue to issue threats: ‘If you do not proceed with loading cargo, you will be deprived of your legal rights.’ And they arrest honorable drivers, labeling them as ‘disruptors of public security.’ Our response is one word: Resistance — until we achieve our most basic human and legal rights!” the National Union of Truckers and Drivers said in a statement.
In a conversation with CHRI, Saeid Dehghan, a prominent Iranian human rights lawyer and director of the Parsi Law Collective, said:
“The government, instead of responding through dialogue, has resorted to repression, arbitrary arrests, and the intimidation of families, violating not only the rights of the truck drivers and workers more broadly, but also treating them as security threats.”
A few of the publicly identified individuals who have been arrested for participating or supporting the strikes, include:
- Farzad Rezaei, a resident of Divandareh, was arrested on June 2, 2025, by security forces for expressing support for the nationwide truckers’ strike.
- Alireza Faghfoori, a driver from Behbahan, was arrested at home on May 29, 2025, for supporting the strike and taken to an unknown location.
- Kaveh Moradian, Sediq Mohammadi, and Rezgar Moradi were arrested in Sanandaj on May 27, 2025, for participating in the strikes; authorities issued one-month detention orders and transferred them to Sanandaj Central Prison.
- Zanko Rostami, from Dehgolan, was arrested on May 25, 2025, during a peaceful protest by truckers.
- Ata Aziri, a Kurdish driver from Dehgolan, was arrested by agents of the Islamic Republic’s Ministry of Intelligence in Sanandaj on May 25, 2025; his whereabouts and condition remain unknown.
- Shahab Darabi, a Kurdish truck driver and blogger, was arrested on May 24, 2025, by security agents after participating in the strike and expressing support for it online. He was taken from his home to an undisclosed location, and there is no information available regarding his current condition or whereabouts. He had previously been detained in February after criticizing Iran’s elections online.
- Borhan Ahmadi, a 34-year-old truck driver from the village of Arandan near Sanandaj, was arrested on May 23, 2025, outside the city’s freight terminal.
- Almas Fallahzadeh, Ali Jabari, Amirhossein (Sami) Zolfaghari, Morteza Mahdi-Karami, Ehsan Gholami, Hamed Barjian, and Asghar Rezaei were detained by security forces on May 23, 2025, for participating in the strike in Bihar.
“Beyond the need for international and human rights organizations to intervene, what’s urgently required, given the grave violations of due process, including arrests without judicial warrants, denial of access to legal counsel, and particularly the enforced disappearances of some labor activists, is firm action by the International Labour Organization (ILO) to activate its oversight and protection mechanisms for these drivers, rather than limiting itself to symbolic condemnations,” Dehghan added.
Solidarity with Truckers from Across Society in Iran
The truckers’ strikes have been gaining wide-ranging support from the broader public in Iran, who are keenly aware of the economic mismanagement and corruption that have decimated people’s livelihoods, and the government’s harsh repression of any protest or peaceful activism undertaken to address this state of affairs.
Support has come from individuals in a broad range of sectors in Iran, including teachers’ unions, professional associations, leading cultural figures, student organizations, and other civil society groups, as well as from political prisoners in Iran—who risk severe punitive actions by the authorities for speaking out. Iranian Nobel laureates, both inside and outside Iran, have also expressed solidarity with the strikers.
Support from Political Prisoners Behind Bars in Iran:
- Abolfazl Khoran, an imprisoned teacher, has voiced his support.
- Nahid Khodajo and Nasrin Khezri Javadi, imprisoned women labor activists, have voiced their support.
- 13 political prisoners — including Koushan (Khaled) Pirzadeh, Arian Gholami, Reza Ehtemami, Azad Peykarifar, and others — signed a joint letter in solidarity.
“We, the political prisoners, stand alongside the truck drivers and all those on strike at this critical juncture in history, so that we may emerge from this struggle with pride and dignity. We firmly clasp the hands of each and every one of you, brave and honorable individuals.”
- Golrokh Iraee, a prominent political prisoner, conveyed a message of solidarity on behalf of a group of incarcerated women.
“Your cry for justice has been heard from behind the walls of Evin. Your steadfastness and resistance in reclaiming your lost rights in the face of a government that deprives people of their daily bread is truly admirable.
“We, a group of women political prisoners held in Evin Prison, while condemning any security crackdown on truckers and heavy vehicle drivers, declare our full support for their strike. Stay strong and resilient.”

“The rule of incompetence at the helm of the country’s management has led to inefficiency and corruption across economic, cultural, social, and political spheres, grinding the wheels of industry and production to a halt. The people are exhausted by unstable policies and a broken economy that have disrupted their lives.”
Support from Iranian Student Circles:
- Student groups have expressed support, such as Amirkabir University Newsletter, Kurdistan Students’ Nationwide Committee, Kurdistan University, Sanandaj Girls’ Technical College, Yazdanpanah Technical College, Isfahan University, Urmia University of Medical Sciences, Tehran University, and Allameh Tabataba’i University (Tehran).
“Today, Iranian truckers stand consciously and responsibly on the front lines of a struggle that represents the demands of the broader public. This strike reflects the pain of a freedom-seeking nation and embodies a collective will for liberation,” said in a joint statement by a group of organizations active in Iran’s student movement.
Nobel Laureates Weigh in With Support for the Truckers
Prominent human rights activist and Nobel laureate Narges Mohammadi, who is on temporary medical furlough from Evin prison in Iran, has also expressed support for the truckers and their strike. In a recent statement on Instagram she said:
“The truck drivers’ protest is a civil protest in which they are shouting out their demands and rights. Since the Islamic Republic does not respond to the rightful demands of the people and instead confronts them with repression and violence, I believe that all segments of society and professional groups should join and support this strike.”
Prominent human rights lawyer Shirin Ebadi, who was forced to flee Iran and is now based in London, said:
“Whether we call it a strike or not, the message is clear: when working is no longer worthwhile, when the roads are unsafe, when truckers have no say in decisions—they have the right to stop.
“The structural crises of this regime run so deep that even if some demands are temporarily met, there remains no sustainable outlook for improvement. Only through pressure and the continuation of strikes can this decayed order be challenged.”
A Legal and Moral Failure by the Iranian State
Iran’s current crackdown on the truck drivers—as well as it longstanding violations of basic worker rights—violates international law and treaties Iran has signed, as well as the country’s own constitution.
Under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), which Iran has ratified, workers have the right to freely form and join trade unions and to engage in peaceful strikes as a form of collective bargaining.
The International Labor Organization’s (ILO) Fundamental Principles, to which Iran is a signatory, as well the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR), require respect for the right to peacefully protest, to strike, and to independently organize and bargain collectively.
Iranian law is also violated by the government’s arrests, harassment, and threats against the striking truckers and their families and supporters. Article 27 of Iran’s constitution states, “Public gatherings and marches may be freely held, provided arms are not carried and that they are not detrimental to the fundamental principles of Islam,” and Article 32, states, “No one may be arrested except by the order and in accordance with the procedure laid down by law.”
Iran’s ongoing crackdown on the striking truck drivers—through mass arrests, enforced disappearances, and intimidation—grossly violates all of these legal obligations.
“This movement is not just about wages or fuel prices. It is a broader reckoning with decades of injustice, corruption, and economic decay,” said Ghaemi.

Evidence taken into custody suggests at least one of the two suspects is a loyal member of the Chinese Communist Party.

Two Chinese nationals were charged in Michigan Tuesday with allegedly smuggling a dangerous pathogen into the United States, claiming it was for the purpose of studying at the University of Michigan.
United States Attorney Jerome Gorgon Jr. reports that Yunqing Juan, 33, and Zunyong Liu, 34, both citizens of communist China, were charged with conspiracy, smuggling goods into the United States, false statements, and visa fraud.
According to the complaint, Liu initially lied but later admitted to smuggling a dangerous fungus into America through the Detroit Metropolitan Airport so that he could conduct research with his girlfriend at a laboratory at the University of Michigan.
The fungus, called Fusarium graminearum is the most significant and destructive disease affecting wheat crops all over the world, according to the National Library of Medicine. The scientific literature classifies it as a potential biological weapon.
According to the FBI, the complaint reports Jian received Chinese government funding for her work on this pathogen in China. The complaint also alleges that Jian’s electronic devices contained information about her loyalty to the Chinese Communist Party. Jian’s boyfriend, Liu, researches the same pathogen at a Chinese University.
Gorgon, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan, said in a press release:
“The alleged actions of these Chinese nationals, including a loyal member of the Chinese Communist Party, are of the gravest national security concerns. These two aliens have been charged with smuggling a fungus that has been described as a ‘potential agroterrorism weapon’ into the heartland of America, where they apparently intended to use a University of Michigan laboratory to further their scheme.”
He said the criminal charges against the two Chinese nationals are indicative of U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s critical role in protecting the American people “from biological threats that could devastate our agricultural economy and cause harm to humans; especially when it involves a researcher from a major university attempting to clandestinely bring potentially harmful biological materials into the United States.”

For the past 15 years, the signs of a deep crisis — political paralysis, an explosion in crime, fiscal bankruptcy, the rise of Islamism and migratory engulfment — have been piling up, heralding an inevitable tipping point.
The normalization of radical Islamic and anti-Semitic discourse we are witnessing in Brussels is the result of 15 years of leaders abrogating their responsibility. Brussels, through its inability — or unwillingness — to make unpleasant but necessary choices, is setting itself up as the first potential locus of protracted European unrest. Even Politico recognizes the scale of the problem. The only question is: When will the Belgian state recognize the failure of a society that has given up on governing itself according to a common law?
1. Structural political paralysis
Almost a year after the regional elections of June 2024, the Brussels-Capital Regional Parliament has yet to produce a governing majority. The traditional parties such as the Socialist Party (PS), the Reformist Movement (MR) and Open VLD – are bogged down in fruitless negotiations, unable to overcome their ideological differences and their fear of offending the different factions of their electorates.
The PS, openly Islamized, refuse any agreement with the centrist parties, preferring to ally itself with the Islamist Team Fouad Ahidar (TFA), a party founded in 2024 by Ahidar, a politician of Moroccan descent who has been a member of the Brussels parliament since 2004, previously representing the PS. The marxist Workers’ Party of Belgium (PTB), with 16.1% of the vote in Brussels in 2024, also allies itself with TFA.
TFA embodies a new situation: a political Islam that no longer hides its identity. Instead, it advocates that a religious identity be the underpinning of national cohesion. This fragmentation reflects a profound breakdown in the social contract, between the old European society, which confines religion to the private sphere, and the “new Europeans” (Muslims), who want everything to be subject to their religious doctrine.
Georges-Louis Bouchez, president of the center-right MR, has warned that alliances with forces such as the PTB and the Islamist TFA are “undermining the foundations of liberal democracy.”
The paralysis in the government deprives Brussels of any capacity to deal with the crises that are fast piling up.
2. Endemic crime, the result of a failing state
Crime rates are rising everywhere in Brussels, particularly in an area in the spotlight for its frequent shootings: the Bruxelles-Midi Zone (Saint-Gilles, Forest, Anderlecht). Between 2022 and 2023, notes the newspaper L’Echo, robberies and extortion rose by 23%, robberies without weapons by 34%, pickpocketing by 27%, and armed robberies by a staggering 53%. This area is home to five of Brussels’ 15 drug-trafficking “hot spots.”
The Bruxelles-Midi zone therefore unsurprisingly suffers from a severe shortage of police officers — 20% of positions remain unfilled — mainly due to major recruitment difficulties. The reason: the high level of crime.
Districts such as Molenbeek, Schaerbeek and Anderlecht have become places where the lack of security is a life-threatening reality, marked by assaults, drug trafficking, shootings and clashes between gangs.
The murder of a police officer, Thomas Montjoie, on November 10, 2022 in Schaerbeek by Yassine Mahi, an Islamist who had telegraphed his intention to attack police officers on social networks, sparked a deep anger within the police force. Days later, thousands of police officers demonstrated outside the Palais de Justice in Brussels to denounce the absence of both security and any judicial action in the face of violent radicalization.
These failures are, as they say, just the tip of the iceberg: the Belgian justice system releases multi-recidivist delinquents and jihadists. In May 2025, not for the first time, riots involving “youth gangs” rocked several communities. Vehicles were set on fire along with countless attacks on police. The inability to restore law and order has been transforming entire neighborhoods into enclaves where Belgian law no longer applies, and foreshadows their balkanization into Islamic no-go-zones.
3. Inevitable bankruptcy
The Brussels-Capital Region is not merely on the brink of bankruptcy; it is already at the bottom of a financial abyss. In 2024, the regional government’s revenues amounted to €5.69 billion, while expenditures reached €6.99 billion euros — a deficit of more than 20%. Public debt exceeded €10 billion—a staggering 300% of annual revenue — for a city of just 1.1 million inhabitants.
This situation, compounded by decades of government hand-outs — subsidies to community associations, ill-targeted social programs and chaotic management of infrastructure (the roads in Brussels are notoriously the worst maintained in Europe) — makes bankruptcy imminent. Public services, such as transportation, schools and hospitals, are deteriorating, while dependence on federal transfers of money exposes Brussels to systemic risk. If civil servants’ salaries or social benefits, which support 30% of Brussels households, were to be suspended, social anger, already seen in recurrent demonstrations, could turn into widespread insurrection.
4. The seemingly unstoppable rise of Islam and anti-Semitism – for the simple reason that no one is stopping them or even trying to
In 2024, Team Fouad Ahidar, driven by Islamic doctrines, achieved significant electoral success, winning three seats in the Brussels-Capital Regional Parliament. Ahidar, who advocates a Muslim identity ahead of any national allegiance, embodies the emergence of an uncomplicated political Islam.
“Fouad Ahidar is a proven pro-Hamas and anti-Semitic figure who served as a member of parliament in Brussels for twenty years,” notes Claude Moniquet, a retired journalist and former French intelligence agent.
Ahidar represents only a small part of the wave of antisemitism in Brussels. Jew-hatred, often marketed in unconvincing, transparent disguises as “anti-Zionism,” flourishes in many other Islamic-centered and radical left-wing circles. In 2023 alone, anti-Semitic incidents in Belgium — including physical assaults and vandalizing synagogues — rose by 65%, mainly in Brussels and Antwerp.
After Hamas’s Iranian-backed invasion of Israel on October 7, 2023, many of Brussels’ elected representatives made speeches on the “Palestinian resistance”, while others denounced “the barbarity of the terrorist state of Israel”. In Brussels, the Islamically-inspired terrorist organization Samidoun was still well established, even though it had already been banned in several European countries, including Germany. In short, in Brussels, Jew-hatred enjoys almost total impunity.
5. An uncontrolled flood of migrants
For the past decade, Brussels has been under immigration pressures unparalleled in Europe. As of 2023, 74% of Brussels’ population is of foreign background, compared to a European average of 10%. In areas such as Molenbeek, the proportion reaches 86%. This demographic transformation or “great replacement,” far from being accompanied by an effective integration policy, has saturated Brussels –– overcrowded schools, overwhelmed hospitals, sorely inadequate housing — and exacerbated communal tensions.
In 2022, a report revealed that 35% of young people with an immigrant background in Brussels were living in households where nobody has a job — a breeding ground for delinquency and radicalization. Immigration flows, fed by clandestine people-smuggling networks by way of Turkey and North Africa, continue to expand, while reception centers for “asylum seekers” are already full. The 2015-2016 jihad attacks in Paris (130 murdered) and Brussels (32 murdered), by Muslims radicalized in neighborhoods such as Molenbeek, revealed the consequences of Europe’s lax immigration policy. The Belgian authorities, and Brussels in particular, seem to have learned nothing.
Prognosis: Imminent uprisings
Brussels is not only a city in crisis, it is a city on the brink of implosion. The convergence of political paralysis, the disintegration of law and order, budgetary bankruptcy, Islamist sectarianism, Jew-hatred and uncontrolled immigration mark a slippery slope toward violence and chaos. Military intervention, as a desperate response to uncontrollable unrest, might eventually be needed. On that day, the globalist elites, who have turned a blind eye to so many signals, will bear responsibility for a disaster they could have prevented. Brussels, far from being an isolated case, is a small mirror of a Europe that is faltering.

Latest FBI Revelations Show The Mueller Special Counsel Was A Cover-Up, And Much More BY MARGOT CLEVELAND
Why the DOJ didn’t charge Nellie Ohr with lying to Congress is the least significant of the questions raised by last week’s release of the Washington Field Office’s EC.
JUNE 02, 2025 The Federalist – he FBI’s electronic case management system, Sentinel, allows agents to hide the existence of relevant investigative reports from other authorized users of the federal database. And during the Russia collusion hoax, Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team used that functionality to keep potentially relevant documents hidden from other FBI agents investigating whether a Fusion GPS contractor lied to Congress.
The significance of these two facts cannot be overstated: Now in question is whether the federal government complies with the constitutional mandate in criminal cases to provide defendants all material exculpatory and impeachment evidence as well as its discovery obligations in civil litigation; whether Special Counsel Durham’s office, the inspector general, and agents investigating the members of the Crossfire Hurricane team had access to all relevant information; whether the DOJ and FBI provided congressional oversight committees with requested (or subpoenaed) documents; and whether FOIA responses included all relevant documents to the press and public.
Last Wednesday, Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, released a recently declassified FBI “Electronic Communication,” or EC, dating from September 2019, which the Iowa Republican maintains “Proves Fusion GPS Contractor Nellie Ohr Lied To Congress About Contributions To Crossfire Hurricane.” That 43-page document, drafted by a FBI Washington Field Office agent, detailed extensive evidence indicating Nellie Ohr lied multiple times during her congressional testimony concerning the Crossfire Hurricane investigation into the Trump campaign.
The catalogue of evidence against Nellie Ohr, who is married to Bruce Ohr — one of the key FBI Russia-collusion hoaxers — raises the question of why the DOJ never pursued criminal charges against the Fusion GPS contractor. The EC also suggests that Nellie Ohr’s open-source research may have made its way into the Steele dossier and the fraudulent Alfa Bank materials provided to the FBI.
Those details, however, pale in comparison to two explosive facts the EC revealed by way of background. First, the EC explained the FBI’s Sentinel case management system allows investigative material to be coded “Prohibited Access,” which renders the files not merely inaccessible to other agents — but invisible to them. And second, Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team designated the Trump/Russia-collusion investigations “Prohibited Access” in Sentinel, meaning any agents running keyword search in Sentinel would wrongly believe there were no responsive documents.
Here’s how the FBI Washington Field Office agent put it in the EC: “On May 3, 2019, relevant FBI/DOJ information related to this assessment [of Nellie Ohr] was inaccessible to FBI investigators given that the Trump/Russia-collusion investigations were in FBI systems under ‘Prohibited Access’ status which, unlike ‘Restricted Access’ status, precludes investigators from detecting the existence of potentially relevant serials.”
“In other words,” the EC continued, “when search terms that exist in the Prohibited Access-status cases are searched in Sentinel, the particular search will receive a false-negative Sentinel search response.”
The existence of the “Prohibited Access” classification came as a surprise to several former career prosecutors and FBI agents. Jay Town, a former career prosecutor and the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama under Trump 1.0, told The Federalist he was not aware of the “Prohibited Access” classification and shared that many of his colleagues likewise had never heard of it. “This is a staggering revelation for nearly all of us,” Town said.
At least one former assistant U.S. attorney, however, indicated he knew of the “Prohibited Access” coding, and clearly the FBI Washington Field Office agents who drafted and approved the EC were familiar with its use as well. But how many DOJ and FBI agents knew of the “Prohibited Access” functionality is unknown.
There is also scant public information about the coding and when or why it is used. For instance, the redacted public version of the FBI’s Domestic Investigations and Operations Guide does not appear to discuss the use of “Prohibited Access” in Sentinel. An inspector general’s report from 2021, however, confirms Sentinel offers a “Prohibited Access” coding and that that coding renders the files invisible to other FBI agents, with a footnote in that report explaining:
Documents and data uploaded into Sentinel are assigned one of three access levels: unrestricted, restricted, or prohibited. The extent to which information appears in search results depends on the data’s access level and the searcher’s permissions. Prohibited data is visible only to users with permission to view the underlying case; all other users receive no search results and would not know that information relevant to their search exists in a prohibited case.
That the FBI’s case management system allows documents, including witness statements and other evidence, to be rendered invisible to other agents searching Sentinel for relevant documents is horrifying because the federal government is legally obligated in a variety of circumstances to produce such information — but it cannot produce something that it does not know exists.
For instance, in criminal cases the Supreme Court has held that the Constitution’s due process guarantee requires the government to disclose “material exculpatory and impeachment evidence.” The Department of Justice must rely on the FBI to provide this constitutionally required evidence — known informally as Brady/Giglio evidence — to a criminal defendant. But the FBI cannot possibly properly gather all materially exculpatory and impeachment evidence if the evidence is invisible to the searcher because it was coded “Prohibited Access.”
While the Brady/Giglio rule only applies in the criminal context, the federal government’s discovery obligations in civil litigation raise similar concerns: If documents responsive to a discovery request are hidden behind a “Prohibited Access” designation, the DOJ might not even know the material exists and thus can’t possibly provide it in response to discovery requests.
Without knowing when, why, or how often the FBI designates files as “Prohibited Access” within Sentinel, or whether, and if so how, the Bureau ensures it provides “Prohibited Access” Brady/Giglio evidence, it is impossible to access the scope of the issue. And that is a huge problem.
The ramifications of invisible records maintained within Sentinel by use of the Prohibited Access designation extend far beyond the realm of criminal prosecutions and civil litigation. The Prohibited Access designation also thwarts the investigation of potential crimes, such as in the case of Nellie Ohr.
At least in that case, though, the Washington Field Office agents knew that Special Counsel Mueller’s office had used the “Prohibited Access” designation for the Trump/Russia-collusion investigations, so they knew to ask for searches of those invisible documents.
But what about the Department of Justice’s inspector general? During his investigation into the four fraudulent FISA surveillance orders wrongfully targeting Carter Page, did Inspector General Michael Horowitz know Special Counsel Mueller’s office had secreted documents with the “Prohibited Access” designation? Did the inspector general obtain all relevant documents?
And what about the now-former Special Counsel John Durham, who was investigating the Crossfire Hurricane team? Did he know that the FBI had designated the Trump/Russia-collusion investigations “Prohibited Access?” Did his team obtain all relevant documents?
One must also wonder if higher ups in FBI headquarters used the “Prohibited Access” category for other highly politicized investigations, such as the probes into alleged corruption by the Clinton Foundation and the Biden family. If so, did the U.S. attorneys charged by Attorney General Bill Barr with overseeing those investigations — John Huber in Utah and Scott Brady in Pennsylvania, respectively — and the FBI agents working with them know Sentinel would not allow them to search for some relevant documents?
Then there’s the question of Congress and whether the DOJ and FBI provided all requested (or subpoenaed) documents to the senators and representatives performing oversight functions. If the bureau assigned agents to gather the evidence through Sentinel searches without consideration of the “Prohibited Access” functionality, it seems a sure bet that the congressional oversight committees did not receive everything they asked for.
Similarly, the DOJ and FBI’s compliance with the Freedom of Information Act, or FOIA, is now in doubt: If Sentinel won’t even show the existence of responsive documents marked “Prohibited Access,” the federal government cannot possibly produce the material in response to FOIA requests.
The bottom line is this: Why the DOJ didn’t charge Nellie Ohr with lying to Congress is the least significant of the questions raised by last week’s release of the Washington Field Office’s EC. And that may well be why FBI Director Kash Patel so quickly declassified that document — to expose the Prohibited Access functionality of Sentinel and the use of it by the get-Trump faction of the DOJ.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has also remained quiet throughout the day today. However, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy speaking from Vilnius, Lithuania, publicly bragged about the operation today.
According to Turkish officials (note silence from Russia & Ukraine), the previously scheduled meeting between Russian and Ukranian negotiators ended today after less than an hour.
There are no details about what took place inside the Ciragan Palace in Istanbul, just that once the meeting attendees were seated and gave initial remarks, the event dissolved. Both the Russian and Ukrainian teams left the building.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt appeared full of nervous energy as she spoke to journalists outside the White House, noting that President Trump was in meetings and discussions all day while taking phone calls. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov have also remained silent.
Russia Is In Preparation Mode
As I noted in my debrief from last year, the government of Russia has been preparing the Russian people for an expanded escalation of the conflict for quite some time.
The Russian media are deliberately pointing to Ukraine -and only Ukraine- in their domestic reporting of the attacks. There is no mention within Russian media of EU, NATO or USA support for the events that took place Sunday .There were a few mentions of Great Britain as a likely assistant to the attacks.
ISTANBUL (Reuters) A second round of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine ended barely an hour after they began in Istanbul on Monday, Turkish officials said, a day after a massive Ukrainian drone attack on Russia’s nuclear-capable strategic bombers.
The talks – the second such direct contacts between the sides since 2022 – had already begun nearly two hours later than scheduled with no explanation of the delay.
… Ukraine and Russia have issued starkly different assessments of the damage done to Russia’s fleet of nuclear-capable bombers – a key element in its nuclear arsenal – but it was clear from publicly available satellite imagery that Moscow had suffered some serious equipment losses.

Strong evidence shows that corrupt FBI officials and former Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón deliberately concealed Chinese Communist Party (CCP) infiltration of U.S. election systems—because exposing it would have politically benefited Donald Trump.
Kash Patel and Dan Bongino now have a rare opportunity: expose how deeply politicized the FBI became, remove CCP-controlled software from America’s elections, and finish an investigation that was already 90% complete before it was sabotaged.
At the center of the scandal is Konnech, a Michigan-based election software company secretly developed and financed by two Chinese firms—Jinhua Yulian Network and Jinhua Hongzheng Technology—under contract with China’s National People’s Congress and in partnership with state-owned giants like Huawei, China Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile, and Lenovo.
Konnech’s flagship product, PollChief, is used to manage poll worker scheduling, equipment deployment, and logistics in major U.S. cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Detroit, Washington D.C., Fairfax County, and St. Louis.
In early 2021, True the Vote’s Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips discovered that Konnech was storing the personally identifiable information (PII) of U.S. election workers, judges, and voters on servers in China. Using open-source tools like Binary Edge, they traced PollChief to Chinese IP addresses—where they found unsecured databases containing names, Social Security numbers, addresses, bank information, voter roll data, polling location schematics, provisional ballot serial numbers, and even passwords for voting machines.
They alerted FBI field offices in Detroit and San Antonio, where agents took the threat seriously and launched a 15-month counterintelligence investigation. But in April 2022—just before the release of Dinesh D’Souza’s 2000 Mules, a film on 2020 election fraud featuring True the Vote—FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C. intervened and flipped the investigation on its head.
Field agents warned Engelbrecht and Phillips that they, not Konnech, were now considered the threat. Two senior female FBI officials in Washington D.C. were reportedly preparing criminal charges against them rather than Konnech’s CEO Eugene Yu. Engelbrecht was warned she and Phillips might be prosecuted for accessing Konnech’s data on Chinese servers.
The FBI even tipped off Konnech about the investigation—compromising the case—and began circulating internal accusations that Phillips had committed cybercrimes, referring those allegations to the CIA and NSA. Phillips said their goal was to “Roger Stone” him—publicly smear and criminalize him as they had done to Trump allies.
In fear for their safety, a field agent advised Engelbrecht and Phillips to take the “nuclear option”—go public. On August 13, 2022, they did just that at The Pit, a closed-door briefing in Arizona with 200 cybersecurity experts, journalists, and election integrity investigators.
Two weeks later, Konnech sued them. In a stunning series of courtroom actions, Engelbrecht and Phillips were jailed and held in solitary confinement—until the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ordered their immediate release. The FBI stood by and let it happen. After their release, they published thousands of documents exposing Konnech’s ties to China. Within days, Konnech dropped the lawsuit.
Meanwhile, independent researchers quickly pieced together Eugene Yu’s background. Born in China, Jianwei Yu (于建伟) graduated from Zhejiang University in 1982 and worked for the CCP from 1983 to 1985 as a project manager in the Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. He moved to the U.S. in 1986 to pursue an MBA at Wake Forest University.
In 2002, Yu founded Konnech. By November 2005, he had launched a Chinese subsidiary—Jinhua Yulian Network—funded and overseen by the CCP. That same year, he was profiled as an “overseas scholar” in a Chinese-language publication by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and the American Zhu Kezhen Education Foundation (AZKEF).
CAST is a formal CCP arm linking Chinese leadership with overseas scientists and technologists. AZKEF, where Yu served on the finance committee, flew U.S. researchers—including Harvard’s Charles Lieber—to Chinese universities. Lieber was later arrested for failing to disclose his ties to China’s Thousand Talents Plan, one of the CCP’s many programs that recruit foreign experts to encourage the illicit transfer of intellectual property.
Konnech’s Chinese ties ran deep. It partnered with Michigan State University’s Confucius Institute, developed software in CCP-run tech parks, and directly served China’s National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
On January 25, 2006, Yu’s Chinese company was accepted into the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Jinhua Science and Technology Park—a CCP-controlled tech incubator. From that point on, Jinhua Yulian Network and Konnech, were financed, developed, and controlled by the Chinese Communist Party.
Just a month later, on February 25, 2006, Yu registered the domain yu-lian.cn for Jinhua Yulian Network using his Konnech email address (eyu@konnech.com). Archived versions of the company’s Chinese-language website show Yu praising “Comrade Jiang Zemin” and the Chinese Communist Party, while promoting Konnech’s software products used by the National People’s Congress, the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Election Management Solutions Detroit, and U.S. Overseas Voters.
In December 2006, Konnech partnered with the Confucius Institute to build a Chinese communication platform called ChineseBrief.com. Yu registered CNBrief LLC, launched www.cnbrief.com, and displayed a banner in Chinese that translated to: “Chinese Brief – Overseas Chinese Network.”
Confucius Institutes are CCP-funded cultural centers embedded in Western universities that U.S. intelligence agencies and lawmakers have long warned operate under the direction of the CCP.
On July 18, 2007, an archived Chinese government website showed Yu offering a 5 million yuan (~$700,000 USD) software development contract on behalf of Jinhua Yulian Network, again using his Konnech email and website.

The basic outline of what took place is now clearer. In what was called “Operation Spider Web” Ukraine counterintelligence operatives staged a series of semi-trucks near five strategic air bases deep inside Russia.
The trucks were loaded with explosive drones, and the drones came out and attacked the bases. Most of the truck drivers and drone operators were captured by Russian military. It was a suicide mission.
According to Ukraine government officials the mission was a big success; however, the claim of 40 strategic long-range Russian bombers being destroyed seems more like a PR narrative than likely actual outcome.
It was a counterintelligence success to pull off such a well-coordinated significant operation deep inside the Russian Federation. On the other hand this operation outlines how Russia is more like the USA than people think as it relates to the locations of their military bases and the vulnerable proximity around them.
Most Americans think of Russia as some form of locked-down totalitarian state where every square inch is under strict surveillance. My recent travels throughout Russia highlight exactly the opposite.
Russia is far more open and unmonitored; even around military bases, than our own country. There is not a big matrix of surveillance around the Russian Federation at all. Some of the five known attacks took place 2,000km deep into Russia.
According to Axios, “Ukrainian intelligence agents launched 117 attack drones from trucks that have been covertly placed near Russian air bases — some of them in Siberia — thousands of kilometers from Ukraine. Around 40 Russian military planes — most of them strategic bombers — were reportedly hit in the attack. Zelensky said 34% of Russias strategic bombers were hit.”
I doubt the accuracy of that “40” hit target number with 117 drones; yet even if true, not all the targeted aircraft would be completely disabled.
According to CBS, “The drones hit airfields including the Belaya air base in Russia’s Irkutsk region, more than 2,500 miles from Ukraine. It is the first time that a Ukrainian drone has been seen in the region, local Gov. Igor Kobzev told AP, stressing that it did not present a threat to civilians. While White House spokespeople declined to comment on the attack, administration sources told CBS News on Sunday that the White House was not aware it was coming.”
Russian news outlets are reporting that the truck drivers and drone operators have been captured. Obviously, the Russian Federation considers this an act of terrorism, and the captured suspects will not be treated as combatants at war.
The operators who carried out the mission will be tortured (for quite a while), questioned and then ultimately disappeared or sent back to their Ukrainian homeland in several pieces.
Ukrainian saboteurs also carried out two successful attacks on small regional bridges near the Russia/Ukraine border.
Again, CBS,”The first bridge, in the Bryansk region on the border with Ukraine, collapsed on top of a passenger train on Saturday, causing casualties. The train’s driver was among those killed, state-run Russian Railways said. Hours later, officials said a second train derailed when the bridge beneath it collapsed in the nearby Kursk region, which also borders Ukraine.”
As the notices first started appearing online via Telegram, my first impression was that this was more akin to a one-time value terrorist attack by Ukraine counter intel operatives in Russia, with little/no western support.
The attacks themselves, while well-coordinated and seemingly quite effective, are of a very rudimentary level. However, that said, CIA or western intelligence agencies may well have supported or assisted.

The attacks come as Russian officials are in Turkey for further ceasefire negotiations with their Ukrainian counterparts scheduled to begin tomorrow. Obviously, President Zelenskyy would know this operation would create an environment in Turkey the opposite of peace talks.
Highlighting once again that Zelenskyy is not interested in peace discussions as long as he has USA and NATO cover (and support) for his continued attacks upon Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin considers Ukraine President Zelenskyy as a terrorist. This method of attack by Zelenskyy certainly underlines and affirms that perspective by Putin.
The counterstrike by Vladimir Putin will likely be very serious and devastating, and we can anticipate Zelenskyy running behind the NATO apron for cover now that he has punched Putin deep inside the Russian Federation.
According to the New York Post, Axios and CBS News, President Trump was unaware the attack was going to take place. It will be interesting to see what position President Trump takes with a rather significant predictable response now pending from Vladimir Putin. The carpet-bombing of Ukraine is more likely today than it was yesterday.

Alright, so Ukraine just launched a massive drone terror attack on Russian air bases, when tomorrow, Zelensky is sending a delegation to Istanbul for supposed ceasefire talks.
The Trump admin confirmed they were NOT informed of this attack.
Zelensky continues to sabotage any attempts at resolving this situation diplomatically. He continues to provoke Putin, and allegedly tried to take Putin’s life via drone attack on his helicopter.
Maybe now Trump will understand why it is Putin has been striking the hell out of Ukraine, because Zelensky continues to play games, in the hopes of dragging NATO into the conflict directly to fight Russia for them.
The odds of a peace deal happening just went down dramatically, and I’m not sure how much longer Putin is going to tolerate this. Zelensky has never had any intentions of ending this war peacefully, because when it ends, he is a dead man, and he knows it.
Now all eyes move to Trump to see how he responds to this attack. Hopefully, this event will be the straw the breaks the camel’s back, and gives Trump the optics to go scorched earth on Zelensky and fully cut him off, and justify backing the US out of NATO.

Activists Judges have halted President Trump’s agenda at least 181+ times in just a 4 month span.
”That is a huge number. To give you that in percentage terms, in over 50% of Trump administration agenda has been halted at least temporarily.”
Judicial lawfare in this country is out of control.
The corrupt activist judges couldn’t do what they do without the bogus cases to rule on. Norm Eisen recently bragged like an evil villain about being behind 152 of these efforts to derail and slow down the Trump agenda.

Look at the perverse level of happiness and the evil gleam in his eyes as he says it. You couldn’t script a better villain if you created one yourself.

But the courts allow this to happen and play along with it. They all want the destruction of American with a new world government replacing American freedom.
Justice John Roberts stayed in a mansion in the Czech Republic with Norm Eisen for a week.
The blackmail and honeypot opportunities are endless.
Roberts is clearly owned and compromised.
He’s running the judicial coup.
It’s either willing or by threat.
It doesn’t matter.
