Aug. 18, 2024 4:40 pm – The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has once again demonstrated its blatant hypocrisy as it prepares for the 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC) from August 19-22, 2024.
While the party has vehemently opposed the idea of border security and voter ID laws, they are now erecting massive steel fences around the United Center in Chicago, all in an effort to keep protesters at bay and ensure the safety of their attendees.
For years, when former President Trump advocated for a border wall to combat illegal immigration, Democrats labeled his proposals as “racist” and “xenophobic.” They argued that walls are ineffective and that we should embrace open borders.
Now, however, they are constructing a literal wall to protect their own interests, exposing their double standards.
The DNC’s decision to mandate ID for entry into the convention is equally hypocritical.
The same party that claims voter ID laws disenfranchise voters is now requiring identification for those wishing to enter their own event. If voter ID is oppressive, why is it acceptable at their convention?

DNC security restrictions at United Center, McCormick Place start at midnight; car screenings soon
A security footprint around the United Center and McCormick Place goes into effect at midnight Friday ahead of the 2024 Democratic National Convention.
The security footprint area encompasses a 15-foot buffer around the perimeter of McCormick Place and the United Center, and includes Union Park and Park 578, where large-scale protests are planned. The CHA parking lot next to Park 578 is also included.
Within this area you cannot “push, pull or transport any vehicle, cart or float” or throw any item. You are also not allow to possess any item deemed a potential safety hazard, including large bags and suitcases as well as laptops, sealed packages, drones, animals other than service/guide dogs, bicycles, scooters, folding chairs, balloons, coolers, glass, thermal or metal containers, umbrellas with metal tips, tobacco products including e-cigarettes, lighters, matches, firearms, ammunition, fireworks, tents and structures, and pointed objects of any kind, including knives.
In issuing those rules prohibiting those items from the demonstration zones, CPD says they’re in accordance with city ordinance. Violators could face jail time.

The Middle Eastern nation isn’t just the biggest Shiite Muslim state in the world, it’s also one of the most draconian when it comes to enforcing the tenets of the religion. The country’s morals police is again in the international spotlight after they reportedly shot a woman last month for a violation of the country’s mandatory hijab laws, according to The Associated Press.
However, amid the severity of the country’s morality crackdown is a ray of light for Christians: Iran may well be in the midst of what some commentators are calling a “Jesus Revolution.”
In a Tuesday article for faith-based outlet CBN News, writer Gary Lane described how an “unprecedented number of Muslims are choosing to follow Christ, especially in Iran as people search for a better life.”
“You have a country with one of the highest drug addiction rates in the world. You have a country where corruption runs rampant. You have a country where more than half the people live below the poverty line,” said Todd Nettleton of The Voice of the Martyrs, a non-governmental organization focused around providing support for persecuted Christians.
“And the people of Iran are looking at this and they are saying, ‘Wait a minute. If this is what Islam has brought us in the last 45 years, we’re not interested. We want to know what the other options are.’”
U.S. Intelligence Community Now Prioritizes ‘Hurt Feelings’ Over Counterterrorism by A.J. Caschetta
August 18, 2024 IPT News – Since 2009, America’s counterterrorism infrastructure, which calls itself the “Intelligence Community” and favors the abbreviation “IC,” has been radically changed by Barack Obama and Joe Biden appointees.
From the FBI’s participation in the Trump-Russia collusion hoax, to the CIA’s efforts to discredit Hunter Biden’s “laptop from hell,” to the Secret Service’s recent failures, the IC is straying from fulfilling its mission “to collect, analyze, and deliver foreign intelligence and counterintelligence information to America’s leaders so they can make sound decisions to protect our country.” The newly-partisan IC may be failing in its assigned duties, but it is making great progress on its DEI objectives. Information coming out of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) in particular shows just how far the IC has devolved in 15 years.
Born from the small Office of Strategic Services (OSS) during WWII when the motto “Loose Lips Sink Ships” reflected the priorities of its leaders, today’s massive IC is comprised of at least 18 “three letter agencies” whose motto seems to be “Inconsiderate Words Hurt Feelings.”
Post-9/11 IC Expansion
The 9/11 attack caught the IC off guard. In response, Cofer Black, the CIA Director’s Special Assistant for Counterterrorism, famously announced to the 9/11 Commission (and elsewhere) that “the gloves are off.” He meant to signal a new era in which preventing Al-Qaeda attacks was the number one priority. The Marquis of Queensbury counterterrorism rules were declared obsolete, and the “Wall” between intelligence and law enforcement was lowered.
Following the governmental principle that more is better, the IC subsequently became flush with money, attention, and new hires. In November 2001, the Aviation and Transportation Security Act brought the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) into existence. In 2002, the Homeland Security Act created the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which immediately took over the TSA.
The Counterterrorism Center (CTC) created by William Casey in 1986 was deemed insufficient for the new era, so in 2003 the Terrorist Threat Integration Center (TTIC) was created. It became a sometime-ally and sometime rival of the CTC, and overlapping responsibilities created friction between them.
In 2004, the TTIC grew larger and was renamed the National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC), while the CIA’s Directorate of Operations (DO) was remade into the larger National Clandestine Service (NCS) in 2005.
The growing pains were not yet over.

Aug. 18, 2024 4:00 pm – Republican Senator and VP nominee JD Vance was on “Fox News Sunday” with Shannon Bream on Sunday to discuss topics including economic issues and election polls.
“What more can, and should your campaign be doing to reach beyond those boundaries?” Bream asked Vance about reaching a broader voter base.
“I think we are doing exactly that, Shannon. If you look at what President Trump has been saying at his rallies, what I’ve been doing at my rallies, and my press events, is we have been making a very simple argument,” Vance responded comparing the difference between Kamala’s policies and President Trump’s.
“When Donald Trump was President, we had stable prices, we had prosperity, we had higher take home pay for American workers, and we had peace across the world,” Vance said.
JD also said that conversations with the American people give him confidence for a victory in November.
“If you see the numbers that we are seeing, and you actually talk to the American people, I feel extremely confident that we are going to be in the right place come November,” Vance said.
Vance also said that the polls are not always accurate.
The New York Times reported that Kamala Harris is dominating Sunbelt states like Arizona, Nevada and North Carolina.
Other fake polls are claiming Kamala Harris is ahead of Trump on all key battleground states like Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.
Vance reacted to the left-leaning polls.
“Consistently what you have seen in 2016 and 2020 is that the media uses fake polls to drive down Republican turnout and to create dissension and conflict with Republican voters,” Vance said.
“The Trump campaign is in a very, very good spot. We are gonna win this race. We just have to run through the finish line,” Vance continued.

August 17, 2024 7:41pm – Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are tied in a new poll of Wisconsin voters.
In a head-to-head matchup between the Republican and Democratic nominees for president, the American Greatness/TIPP poll of likely and registered voters shows both Trump and Harris at 47% support.
When independent and third party candidates are added, Harris garners 46% support to Trump’s 45%, within the poll’s +/- 3.4% margin of error. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. pulls in 6% support, with 2% undecided.
“The presidential race is very tight like 2020, within the margin of error,” pollster Raghavan Mayur with TIPP told The Center Square. “It is probably the tightest among the battleground states.”

August 17, 2024 10:36pm – U.S. Customs and Border Protection released monthly border apprehension data on Friday, saying, “statistics show lowest southwest border encounters in nearly four years.” CBP also claimed illegal border crossings were down by 34% from June to July and the drop is due to a presidential proclamation issued in June.
Troy Miller, a senior official performing the duties of the CBP Commissioner, said recent Biden-Harris policies led “to the lowest number of encounters along the southwest border in more than three years.”
Despite these claims, the total number of apprehended illegal border crossers surpassed 10.5 million in July with two months left in the fiscal year, which ends Sept. 30.
That number excludes 2 million gotaways, those who illegally entered and evaded capture, bringing the total number to more than 12.5 million.
That is greater than the individual populations of 45 states. If illegal border crossers were a state, they’d be the sixth most populous state ahead of Illinois.

Bracing for riots and looting, some businesses located downtown have already started boarding up windows and doors in preparation for potential protest violence as the convention begins. It’s not as if they haven’t been warned: Some anti-Israel protestors have compared their plans to the 1968 riots during the Democratic convention.
“I think people really need to see it as the equivalent of the 1968 DNC in Chicago,” said Deanna Othman, a resident of Little Palestine, Chicago, which has a substantial population of Palestinian-Americans, according to The Washington Post.
Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling rejected the notion that a repeat of 1968 will occur, adding that the city is ready for protests.

The weekly Global Antisemitism Report published by the Combat Antisemitism Movement analyzed 113 incidents that targeted Jewish victims worldwide and found that 57.5% of the perpetrators were identified as far leftists, 22.1% of them were Islamists, 11.5% were unknown and 8.9% were done by far-right extremists.

Terror Cell Arrested After Threatening Jewish Community in Argentina
August 18, 2024 JBN News – Argentine authorities have foiled a plot targeting the Jewish community in Mendoza.
Following a months-long investigation, the Argentine Federal Police’s Counter-Terrorism Unit arrested eight individuals on Friday linked to terrorist cells. During the raid, authorities discovered threatening messages posted on Telegram against a local Jewish journalist and the community. Illegal firearms, explosive materials, and extremist propaganda from ISIS were found as well.
Argentina, home to Latin America’s largest Jewish population, has a painful history of anti-Semitic violence, including the 1994 bombing of the AMIA Jewish community center that killed 85 people and the 1992 attack on the Israeli embassy that claimed 29 lives.
In May, Argentina’s Supreme Court reaffirmed its AMIA ruling attributing both attacks to Iran and Hezbollah, maintaining that they were carried out as part of the regime’s terrorist agenda in the region.
Since Javier Milei assumed Argentina’s presidency in December, there has been increased attention on protecting the Jewish community and countering terrorist networks.
In June, Milei announced a comprehensive national security strategy, emphasizing enhanced intelligence sharing with international partners and stricter monitoring of extremist activities online and offline. Milei also announced plans to trial terrorists in absentia for severe crimes, a move designed to facilitate the prosecution of Iran’s terror proxies.

Last night, Alexandre de Moraes threatened our legal representative in Brazil with arrest if we do not comply with his censorship orders. He did so in a secret order, which we share here to expose his actions.
Despite our numerous appeals to the Supreme Court not being heard, the Brazilian public not being informed about these orders and our Brazilian staff having no responsibility or control over whether content is blocked on our platform, Moraes has chosen to threaten our staff in Brazil rather than respect the law or due process.
As a result, to protect the safety of our staff, we have made the decision to close our operation in Brazil, effective immediately.
The X service remains available to the people of Brazil.
We are deeply saddened that we have been forced to make this decision. The responsibility lies solely with Alexandre de Moraes.
His actions are incompatible with democratic government. The people of Brazil have a choice to make – democracy, or Alexandre de Moraes.
This is not a surprise, as Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes has targeted Elon Musk and X for years now.

Aug. 17, 2024 12:20 pm – Security officers exchanged gunfire with multiple active shooters at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.
Multiple active shooters tried to breach the main gate at the Chapman Training Annex around 4:30 am on Saturday, according to KSAT.
No injuries were reported. It is unclear how many shooters were at the main gate.
The shooters had no affiliation with the military, KSAT reported.
According to Fox News, the security officers were fired upon by suspects in a sedan.
