DirecTV Drops Newsmax as Conservative Lawmakers Protest by Caitlin Huston
Conservative network Newsmax has been dropped from DirecTV as of 11:50 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
DirecTV confirmed the decision, saying the network is no longer broadcast on DirecTV, DirecTV Stream or U-Verse, with the decision made due to Newsmax’s “demands for rate increases.”

“On multiple occasions, we made it clear to Newsmax that we wanted to continue to offer the network, but ultimately Newsmax’s demands for rate increases would have led to significantly higher costs that we would have to pass on to our broad customer base. Anyone, including our customers, can watch the network for free via NewsmaxTV.com, YouTube.com and on multiple streaming platforms like Amazon Fire TV, Roku and Google Play. We continually evaluate the most relevant programming to provide our customers and expect to fill this available channel with new content,” a DirecTV spokesperson said in a statement.

January 26, 2023 – (Natural News) New Founding cofounder Matthew Peterson wants to see the FBI and other federal agencies reined in from continuing to suppress “lawful speech,” otherwise the United States is headed towards “totalitarian state territory.”
In an interview with “Newsmakers,” Peterson mentioned the Twitter Files and what’s been revealed in those showing that the First Amendment is under attack by the three-letter agencies, Big Tech, and “woke capital,” all of which seek to dismantle the freedoms and liberties the country holds dear.
“We’ll be in totalitarian state territory, there’s no question about it,” Peterson said, warning that everything could change dramatically in three-to-five years if the current trajectory continues.
