I must take exception to the notion that the symbol of the Democrats is a donkey. The donkey is a noble equine breed of singular attributes. Jesus Himself deemed the donkey a worthy means of transportation to Jerusalem. And there was once a time when the Democrats possessed a semblance of nobility… I mean, not in my lifetime, but back when sanity was not as scarce as it is today, and the core precepts of what it means to be American were more commonly shared among conservatives and liberals.
But the Democrat party of today has abandoned that core set of values, having been infiltrated by the noxious ideology of (let’s just call it what it is) Communism. Today’s most vociferous Democrats, by and large, seem to have heartily embraced this bankrupt ideology, which sadly seems to be the eventual fate of every liberal political party on the planet since the madman Marx spewed his malcontented, garbled jargon upon the world, to my knowledge without exception.
Precision matters. So I contend that the true symbol of today’s adulterated Democrat party is no longer a donkey… but rather a jackass.
