Israeli Casualties Significantly Increase to Please Biden and Blinken   by Hugh Fitzgerald

February 23, 2024 – IDF soldiers put themselves in danger, and get killed, to please the US.

Recently, The Guardian ran a story with interviews of IDF soldiers that they hoped would make Israel look bad; the result was quite the contrary: “The @Guardian lies to spin IDF soldiers as monsters – but they show that the @IDF remains the most moral army in the world,” Elder of Ziyon, February 9, 2024:

Similarly, the newspaper makes the unfounded “suggestion” that the IDF uses massive firepower unnecessarily, and this kills many civilians….

How do reporters from The Guardian know that the IDF “unnecessarily uses massive firepower? Who decides what is “unnecessary”? The IDF is fighting a war for the survival of the Jewish state, against an enemy that uses civilians as human shields, embedding both its weapons and its operatives in civilian areas, including in large buildings. Having done everything conceivable to get civilians to leave, the IDF levels those buildings that it has good reason to believe have been emptied of civilians, destroying huge caches of weapons, command-and-control centers, and Hamas terrorists determined not to flee but to remain and fight. Is what The Guardian describes as the IDF’s “massive firepower” anything like the “massive firepower” that the Americans used in their campaign in the Gulf War to push the Iraqis out of Kuwait, or in their later wars to overthrow Saddam Hussein in Iraq, the Taliban in Afghanistan, and ISIS in Iraq and Syria? There is no comparison; the American firepower was in each of these campaigns many times more powerful than what the IDF has brought to bear in Gaza.

One soldier from the special forces Duvdevan unit said his unit had only encountered Hamas militants on three occasions during six weeks in north Gaza, from where the majority of civilians were ordered to evacuate early in the war….

His special forces unit had in six weeks in northern Gaza encountered Hamas terrorists only on three occasions. Many of the rest must have fled south, or been hiding in the tunnels.

Not one civilian was identified as being killed in these two testimonies – but the Guardian says that the huge response to Hamas attacks is responsible for civilian deaths. Without a single shred of proof….

How many civilian deaths were due to Hamas enforcers firing on civilians to prevent them from fleeing, so that they were forced to remain as human shields? How many civilians have died as a result of Hamas missiles falling short in Gaza and hitting people on the ground? Shouldn’t Hamas be the one to hold responsible for civilian deaths, for it has always embedded its men and weapons in civilian areas and buildings, and keeps those civilians from escaping to the safe areas set out by the IDF?

[Another] described how a relatively light injury to a fellow soldier triggered a “massive response”.

“We just took down the whole area where we thought the shooter was,” he said….

The IDF has a right to fire back when fired upon; it hardly matters whether a Hamas terrorist’s fire resulted in an IDF soldier being killed or suffering only a light wound. The Hamas fighter, had he at that point not been neutralized, might have fired again, this time managing to kill an IDF soldier. The IDF is not required to hold its fire if one of its soldiers has “only” suffered a light wound. If the IDF is sure that all civilians have left the building from where the shots were fired, is allowed by the laws of war to destroy the building.

The Gaza war is essentially over — but Israel can still win the campaign   By LAZAR BERMAN

Operations against Hamas are steadily dwindling, but with the enemy hiding underground, it can be replaced — if Israel’s leaders move beyond political concerns

22 February 2024, 1:00 am – Four-and-a-half months after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared war on Hamas, the terror group has yet to be destroyed.

While badly damaged, with a significant portion of its fighting force dead or wounded, Hamas still appears to have the ability to function as a coherent organization, and would likely be able to reassert control over the Gaza Strip if Israel left.

Hamas fighters are still able to mount attacks in parts of Gaza that Israel conquered in the initial stage of the incursion, and its operatives pop up in the northern Strip to make sure it gets whatever it wants from aid trucks.

One hundred and thirty-eight days into a war touched off by Hamas’s murderous attack inside Israel, none of Netanyahu’s declared war aims have been achieved. Hamas is not destroyed, over 100 hostages remain in Gaza, and none of its senior leaders have been killed.

Yet for some time now, the IDF has not been using anything resembling “all its strength,” which the premier had vowed to utilize to crush the group.

Feb 23, 2024, 11:26 AM (GMT+2) – A new poll published Friday morning showed that if elections were held today, Minister Itamar Ben Gvir’s Otzma Yehudit party would win just three seats less than MK Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid party.

The poll, conducted for Maariv by Lazar Research, showed that if elections were held today, the National Unity party would win 39 Knesset seats and Likud would win 18 Knesset seats,

Yesh Atid, with 13 seats, would be third-largest in the Knesset. Three parties would win ten seats each: Otzma Yehudit, Yisrael Beytenu, and Shas.

United Torah Judaism (UTJ) is projected to win six seats, while Hadash-Ta’al and Meretz would each win five, and Ra’am (United Arab List) would win four seats.

UN experts claim IDF troops raped Palestinian Arab women, Israel: Despicable and unfounded   Israel National News

Israel’s UN mission denounces Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights which accused IDF soldiers of raping Palestinian Arab women and girls in detention.

Feb 20, 2024, 4:21 AM – The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) on Monday accused IDF soldiers of raping Palestinian Arab women and girls in detention.

“We are particularly disturbed by reports that Palestinian women and girls in detention have been subjected to several forms of sexual assault,” the UN agency charging, claiming that the women and girls were “stripped naked and searched by male soldiers.”

The agency further claimed, “At least two Palestinian detainees were raped, while others were threatened with rape and sexual violence.”

Israel’s UN mission rejected the claims and denounced the UN agency.

“Israel forcefully rejects the despicable and unfounded claims published today by a group of so-called UN experts, including one who just days ago legitimized the massacre of October 7 in which more than 1,200 people were murdered, executed and raped, and another who publicly doubted the testimonies of Israeli victims of gender-based and sexual violence,” it wrote in a statement posted to X.

Israel to approve 700 housing units in Efrat   Israel National News

Decision to add hundreds of housing units ‘further establishes the vision of Efrat as the capital of the Gush Etzion bloc and the protector of Jerusalem from the south,’ Mayor Oded Revivi says.

Feb 23, 2024, 9:23 AM (GMT+2) – The State has announced that it will approve the construction of approximately 700 housing units in Efrat, intended for young couples and assisted living.

The units will be sold at a target price designated for young couples and the promotion of assisted living.

Following the announcement, Efrat Mayor Oded Revivi said: “The State has given Efrat tremendous power and momentum with the approval of another 694 housing units.”

“The decision is an expression of confidence in the ability of Efrat leadership to engage in long-term planning to build, grow, and expand while cooperating with the most senior politicians. This decision further establishes the vision of Efrat as the capital of the Gush Etzion bloc and the protector of Jerusalem from the south.”

Revivi also thanked the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense, the Minister of Finance, and the Minister in the Ministry of Defense and the Minister for Strategic Affairs for their decision to convene the Supreme Planning Council to approve thousands of housing units in Judea.

The government has also given the green light to over 2,300 housing units in Maaleh Adumim. All of the plans now go to the Supreme Planning Council for its approval.

Betrayed: Biden Regime Proposes Anti-Israel ‘Ceasefire’ Resolution at United Nations Security Council    By Pamela Geller

February 20, 2024 – Instead of demanding that the terrorists release of the 134 hostages (including Americans), the Democrat regime is demanding Israel surrender. Biden’s UN Resolution against Israel is depraved and shameful.

According to a Reuters report, the Democrat ruling regime is proposing a temporary ceasefire in Gaza, combined with an objection to the planned IDF invasion of Rafah, on Gaza’s southern border with Egypt.

According to the IDF, Rafah is where the remaining Hamas leaders are hiding in their underground tunnels, surrounded by 134 dead and alive Israeli hostages. The US resolution, should it be submitted and voted on, is a lifeline to murderers such as Yahya Sinwar, and a halt to any further Israeli attempts to seek and release more hostages by force. (Jewish Press)

BREAKING: Israel Launches Airstrikes Against Targets in Lebanon  (VIDEOS)   By Paul Serran

Feb. 19, 2024 11:00 am – In a move that’s likely to further escalate the ongoing military conflict in the Middle East, Israel has launched airstrikes against targets in Southern Lebanon.

Times of Israel reported:

“Lebanese media report Israeli airstrikes in the town of Ghaziyeh, on the southern outskirts of Sidon, some 30 kilometers (19 miles) from the northern border.

Footage posted to social media shows large fireballs and clouds of smoke from the targeted sites.

There is no immediate comment from the IDF.”

From a Lebanese X account: ‘The first raid was near Al-Reem Company’s warehouse, and the second raid was near Al-Shahouri Mosque, Al-Regie area, in the Al-Ghaziyeh area, south of Sidon’.

Arab News reported:

“At least two Israeli air strikes hit southern Lebanon on Monday near the coastal city of Sidon, state media and an AFP photographer said.

[…] ‘Israeli warplanes carried out… strikes on the town of Ghaziyeh’, the state-run National News Agency (NNA) said Monday, adding that a vehicle was targeted and ambulances rushed to the scene, without providing further details.”

This is not the usual ‘near-the-border’ strike. Ghaziyeh is around 20 miles from the nearest Israeli frontier and less than five kilometers from the city of Sidon.

One of the strikes appeared to have targeted a hangar close to the main coastal highway.

Is the Red Cross really neutral on Israel?   By JUDITH SUDILOVSKY

Jewish distrust of the ‘middle man’ organization – accused of refusing to deliver vital medications to hostages – dates back to the Holocaust.

FEBRUARY 18, 2024 – Among the many, many traumatizing images Israelis are coming to terms with following October 7 are those of the release and transfer of 105 mostly women and children hostages from Hamas captivity. Turned over into the hands of International Committee of the Red Cross staff, waiting to transfer them to ICRC vehicles and on to waiting Egyptian and Israeli officials, fear and stress pervaded as the newly released civilians were surrounded by armed Hamas terrorists and crowds of shouting Palestinians.

The hostages were visibly tense as they made their way the short distance from Hamas vehicles to the white ICRC Land Rovers emblazoned with a red cross on their sides, which would take them across Gaza to the Rafah crossing, first to Egyptian security forces, where they were handed over to the IDF.

One hostage, Rimon Kirscht, notably stared down a Hamas terrorist and then, as she was approached by an ICRC worker, apparently exchanged some words of dismissal. Another hostage, however, emotionally hugged all the ICRC workers who had transported them once they reached the crossing.

“We are just glad we were able to move them from one place that was not safe to a place that is much more safe,” Jason Straziuso, ICRC global media chief, said in an interview with NBC on November 24, when 24 hostages were released during the implementation of the first stage of the agreement that also involved the transfer of Palestinian women and male teenage prisoners from Israeli jails into Palestinian hands. “Our part was the neutral intermediary, that trusted middle man that is a vital aspect of this operation, to be trusted by Hamas and to be trusted by Israel to safely carry this out.”

But for a large majority of Israelis – with the ICRC’s failure during the Holocaust to do anything on behalf of Jews in concentration camps still fresh in their memories – the terms “trusted middle man” and “neutral intermediary” are ridiculed, and they accuse the ICRC of doing virtually little to nothing to secure the release of the hostages in Hamas’s hands, ascertain their whereabouts, let alone visit them or ensure that they had received medicines sent in an agreement mediated by Qatar in mid-January.

“Throughout the years since the day of its inception, the Red Cross never [stepped forward for the Jews] or the Israelis, even during the Holocaust,” charged Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, founder of Shurat HaDin-Israel Law Center, who, in a legal demand letter signed by more than 1,200 attorneys, has accused the ICRC of taking only superficial steps toward protecting the hostages. They slammed the ICRC for what she says is a potential breach of integrity by its affiliated Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), for allowing the transport of Hamas terrorists in its ambulances.

“Even during the Holocaust, they refrained from visiting Jews in concentration camps,” she stressed.

Will Israel Invade Southern Lebanon?   By Larry Johnson

Feb. 18, 2024 7:15 am – There is a lot going on in the world that is generating fear in the West because they have lost control of the narrative and the battlefield. Ukraine’s retreat from Avdeevka has exposed the lie that the Russian military is a spent force comprised of coerced, untrained, poorly supplied conscripts. This has left NATO scrambling to try to find a way to keep Ukraine in the fight, but Ukraine’s Army is being ground into dust and its morale is flagging.

But that is not where the real danger lies. Israel is signaling that it will invade southern Lebanon and fight Hezbollah.

Here is General Halevi doing his version of Mirror, Mirror on the Wall.

But this is not just some idle fantasy confined to Halevi. He has the backing of an overwhelming majority of Israeli citizens according to Lebanon’s Naharnet.

A poll published by right-wing Israeli newspaper Maariv has showed that 71% of Israelis believe that Israel should launch a large-scale military operation against Lebanon.

Israel has been carrying out heavy air strikes on villages in southern Lebanon during the past week, but it has not weakened Hezbollah. To the contrary. Hezbollah is stepping up its own missile attacks on Israeli settlements. Saraya al-Qassam and company hit “Ashkelon” with massive barrages of projectiles, setting off the missile sirens and sending the Jewish settlers running for shelter!

Victims of October 7 demand declaration of UNRWA as terror group   By PressNewsAgency

February 13, 2024 – An initiative to declare UNRWA a terrorist group is being spearheaded by the Shurat HaDin Legislation Middle, representing dozens of October 7 bloodbath victims.

Shurat HaDin’s initiative is focused towards the Protection Ministry. The group argues that there’s a stable authorized foundation for such a designation. Their opinion, comprised of arguments that stretch over eight pages, was submitted to Protection Minister Yoav Gallant. Ought to Gallant settle for the proposal, he can train his authority to declare UNRWA a terrorist group however could be subjected to Shin Guess safety suggestion providers.

The President of the Legislation Middle, legal professional Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, commented, “Now it’s clear to everybody that UNRWA has opened its doorways to Hamas terrorists in an unprecedented manner. Within the guise of a humanitarian group that perpetuates a false and harmful historic narrative, they’ve themselves develop into a central headquarters of a terrorist group, a few of whose workers murdered harmless Jews with their very own palms.”

The present initiative is available in gentle of the IDF’s latest revelation of the Hamas command middle within the Hamas tunnels under UNRWA’s headquarters, which operates on behalf of the UN within the Gaza Strip.

Darshan-Leitner continued, “UNRWA is not a humanitarian company – its develop into a full-scale jihadi group. This gives all of the grounds and authorized proof for the Protection Minister to declare them a terrorist group. This designation is the need of the hour in an effort to forestall the subsequent victims of terrorist violence and expedite the collapse of Hamas rule within the Gaza Strip.”

February 17, 2024 – An unusual event happened today at the Rafah crossing: a Palestinian boy who tried to take humanitarian aid from the crossing was shot to death along with many others.  He was apparently shot by Hamas police officers.  In response, many of the young man’s family arrived at the crossing and started rioting and crowd clashes broke out on the spot.  The entrance gate of the crossing was also set on fire.  The Hamas police intervened in an attempt to restore order.

Scheme Uncovered to Announce Palestinian ‘State’ RIGHT AWAY!   by Bob Unruh

But draws chorus of objections

Feb. 16, 2024 6:40 pm – A scheme has been uncovered that apparently would involve announcing – unilaterally – a Palestinian state right away, and it is drawing a chorus of objections.

The Algemeiner website reported the proposed plan, described by the Washington Post, calls for “the withdrawal of many, if not all, settler communities on the West Bank; a Palestinian capital in east Jerusalem; the reconstruction of Gaza; and security and governance arrangements for a combined West Bank and Gaza.”

Stunningly, the action could involve “early U.S. recognition of a Palestinian state – even as elements of political reform, security guarantees for both Israel and the Palestinians, normalization and reconstruction are being implemented.”

The discussion is stunning in that only in October, terrorists from Hamas, which works out of the Palestinian-controlled Gaza, invaded Israel and butchered some 1,200 civilians.

The scheme apparently is the work of the U.S. and several Arab states.

“In my speech yesterday in Berlin, I warned against the dangerous plan that is taking shape for unilateral international recognition of a Palestinian state,” said Gideon Sa’ar, an Israeli lawmaker who is not part of the government coalition.

“This plan will not only not resolve the conflict but will make it intractable. The Palestinians will receive state recognition without paying the the price of compromise and they will continue the conflict from an upgraded position that will harm Israel’s right to self-defense.”

Israel, according to reports, would be left out of the process entirely.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been opposed to such a move.

“1,400 murdered and the world wants to give them a state. It won’t happen,” National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said on social media.

“The intention of the U.S., together with the Arab states, to establish a terror state alongside the state of Israel is delusional and part of the misguided conception that there is a partner for peace on the other side… While we are in the government, no Palestinian state will be established.”

The report said Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich also said, “We will in no way agree to this plan, which actually says that the Palestinians deserve a reward for the terrible massacre they did to us: a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. The message is that it pays very well to massacre Israeli citizens. A Palestinian state is an existential threat to the state of Israel as was proven on October 7, Kfar Saba will not be Kfar Aza!”

The news site also warned, the “overlooked ‘elephant in the room’: polls show that most of the Palestinian people don’t actually want a two state solution at all, on any terms, or in any borders.”

Hamas leaders have said it is unacceptable for them to be expected to recognize Israel in any form.

The report said “74.7% of Palestinians desire a Palestinian-only state that entirely supplants Israel, while 72% support the October 7 massacre, which, to be clear, included burning Israeli babies, beheading, mass rape, mass murder, and large scale kidnapping.”

[Ed.:  They’re going to announce it any moment now I hereby announce that they are in for a bit of a let down, and a big whack from upstairs...]
