Today we welcome Dave Rubin’s YouTube channel, The Rubin Report, to our Channels lineup. Part of Glenn Beck’s The Blaze network of content creators, The Rubin Report offers selected stories plucked from the headlines in an intelligent and even-handed manner. He appears regularly on many of the most prominent alternative news programs, and always offers a unique perspective, adding thoughtfully to the conversation.
Rubin’s is an interesting story of a young, gay, self-described “progressive” who a few years got ago got seriously red-pilled. His transformation from a lefty into a libertarian conservative came rather swiftly, and more interestingly, fully in the public view. Today he offers no apology for once being a Bernie Sanders supporter, nor does he have to — he came to see the error of his ways and was willing to change them as he pursued political principles which resonated with his maturing view of the world — something far too many liberals utterly fail to accomplish.
Enduring the hatred of his former Dem cronies while being welcomed by new-found compatriots on the right (who I think find his metamorphosis encouraging, offering a more hopeful view of the future of our country), Dave Rubin continues to grow in his worldview, and as a clear-eyed voice on the political right is a force to be reckoned with in the ongoing war between leftist totalitarianism and libertarian/conservative Americanism.
