The Biden administration may be struggling in its efforts to fight security-related misinformation. The Washington Post sources claim the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has “paused” a Disinformation Governance Board just three weeks after its April 27 announcement.

Officials reportedly decided to shut down the board on May 16, but that decision appears to be on hold after a last-minute effort to retain board leader Nina Jankowicz. She resigned from the board and the DHS today (May 18).

There is a chance the board could survive depending on a Homeland Security Advisory Council review. If the reports are true, though, the U.S. government may have to rethink its anti-disinformation efforts if they’re going to survive both criticism and internal scrutiny.

Hundreds of thousands of Jews are in Meron on Wednesday Night May 18 2022 to celebrate Lag Ba’Omer. The holiday marks the passing of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai (Rashbi).

The commentary on the Pentateuch called the Zohar (Shining Light), the classical source of Jewish mysticism, is attributed to Rashbi, who lived in the 2nd century C.E, died on Lag B’Omer and is buried in Meron.

The Talmud tells how Rashbi was forced to hide in a cave with his son for twelve years in order to escape the Romans who wanted to kill him for rebellion. During this period, the Talmud relates that a carob tree and spring of fresh water were the pair’s only sustenance, and that he and his son reached spiritual heights in Torah study and kabbala that made their return to the everyday world a difficult transition. Rashbi is revered as a mystic, supremely pious sage, who did not engage at all in worldly pursuits.

The night of Lag Ba’Omer, The Boyaner Hassidic Rabbi lights the first flame of the festivities at midnight and the thousands who have come to Meron continue to sing and dance through the night, chanting the refrains of various songs praising Rashbi, expressing the joy of being a Jew, calling on G-d to deliver His people from danger, and describing their confidence that He purifies them from transgressions.

Among them are many three year old boys, brought by their families for their first haircut, called “chalaka”, which Hassidim do traditionally in Meron on Lag Ba’Omer.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to flock to Mount Meron on Wednesday night to celebrate Lag Ba’omer, exactly one year after 45 people died there in a stampede.

The disaster took place close to 12:45 a.m. when Lag Ba’omer fell on April 30. It began when about 20,000 haredi (ultra-Orthodox) men and boys left a bonfire held by the Toldos Aharon Hassidim at a compound near the tomb of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai.

They headed down a narrow passageway known as Dov Bridge, which ended in a 90-degree turn to the right and then 11 stairs down to ground level. The stairs were narrower than the passageway, creating a bottleneck. When a few people slipped, a human crush began, resulting in the largest civilian disaster in Israel’s history.

Over the past year, the government has ordered extensive changes at the site, demolishing illegally built structures, including Dov Bridge, and widening existing passageways.

“This is a complicated event since there are many changes that were done to the site and to the way things were,” Israel Police Northern District Chief Shimon Lavi said. “There are limitations on the number of people allowed on the mountain, so only 16,000 will be permitted there at any given time.”

The event is being coordinated with the Religious Services Ministry, whose minister Matan Kahana, stepped down on Friday due to internal Yamina Party politics.

Tickets need to be preordered and will serve as both transportation and entry passes. Entry will be staggered, with 4,000 people allowed per hour. They will be given passes for a four-hour stay, meaning that no more than 16,000 pilgrims will be on the mountain at any time.

“If you do not have a ticket, you have no business coming to Meron,” Lavi said.

No private vehicles will be allowed to approach the site, and all public and private transportation will be diverted to 11 bus terminals, from which shuttles will ferry people to the compound.

One bonfire-lighting ceremony will be held; food will not be sold on-site; people will visit the tomb in a moving line, with separate entry and exit lines and a short duration by the tomb; and a tent will be set up outside for those who wish to remain and pray.

But this Torah remained the exclusive property of giants throughout the centuries of exile and was for the most part unaccessible to the Jewish masses.
Until 1967, when the people of Yisrael returned to Jerusalem and became capable of reconnecting to this deeper and more holistic Torah.
The freedom movement also found practical expression over the centuries through several daring attempts to restore Hebrew independence to Palestine, until 20th century Jewish urban guerrillas succeeded in defeating the British Empire and restoring freedom to the Land and people of Yisrael.
But the reestablishment of Hebrew sovereignty in Eretz Yisrael didn’t close the curtain on the drama of Jewish history.
We still have a long road ahead.

The responses elicited by the death of al Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Akleh were written hundreds of years ago. Blood libels — the practice of using the death of non-Jews as a means set up the Jewish collective for demonization, condemnation, ostracism and mass murder — may vary in their proximate details. But the substance is always the same. The Jews are guilty.

Israel has been subjected to repeatedly blood libels. Their details are always more or less the same. Israeli forces fight terrorists. Non-Jewish civilians die, and Israel’s right to exist is rejected by “right thinking” people the world over. In the case at hand, on Tuesday night IDF forces were carrying out counter-terror operations in Jenin – the terror capital where most of the recent terror attacks were planned. 19 innocent Israelis have been murdered in these attacks. Tuesday night, Palestinian terrorists opened fire on the IDF forces shortly after they entered the city. In the ensuing firefight, Abu Akleh was shot. Palestinian footage indicates fairly clearly that she was killed by the terrorists.

But facts are meaningless in a blood libel. So all the regular actors in contemporary morality plays are reciting their lines in turn. The Arabs, the Europeans, the Americans, the UN, and most importantly the Arab and Western media are all playing their assigned roles and using Abu Akleh’s death as the basis of a mass indictment of Israel’s very existence.

The Abu Akleh blood libel does have one novel aspect to it. A new actor has joined the pile-on.

On May 22-28, 2022, the 75th World Health Assembly will convene at United Nations (U.N.) headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, with delegates from 194 nations, to vote on the Biden administration’s amendments that will hand over national sovereignty and authority to the WHO, which during the COVID pandemic, carried the water bucket for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regarding the Wuhan lab.

On Jan. 18, 2022, officials from the Biden administration quietly sent the WHO extensive amendments without an official statement or a single press conference. These proposed amendments are written to strengthen the organization’s ability to unilaterally intervene into the affairs of nations merely suspected of having a “health emergency” of possible concern to other nations. If these amendments are approved, the WHO will have the power to declare an “international health emergency,” nullifying the powers of nation states. The U.S. amendments delete a critical existing restriction in the regulations: “WHO shall consult with and attempt to obtain verification from the State Party in whose territory the event is allegedly occurring…” This enables the Director-General to declare health emergencies at will and can be used to justify ostracism and economic or financial actions against the targeted nation by other nations aligned with WHO or who wish to harm and control the accused nation.

(Natural News) Today’s Situation Update is one of the most impactful I’ve recorded in a while. It gets really intense in the last 15 minutes or so, as I’m covering the dirty bomb drills now taking place in Austin, Texas.

Those drills called, “Cobalt Magnet” and carried out by the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), are not merely for show. According to the NNSA announcement about the drills:

Cobalt Magnet 22 is the culmination of 18 months of planning by local, state, and federal responders. Taking place at various locations around the city, the exercise will simulate a radiological attack, enabling response personnel to practice protecting public health and safety, providing emergency relief to affected populations, and restoring essential services.

During the week, members of the public may see field teams in protective clothing using radiological monitoring and detection equipment, low-flying aircraft conducting data-gathering overflights, and groups of first responders and others staged at various locations. The exercise is part of a regular program of training, exercises and planning by which NNSA and federal, state and local partners prepare to protect public health and safety.
