At a Glance

A severe weather outbreak is increasingly likely on Tuesday.

The highest threat area is from Iowa and Illinois south to Arkansas.

This threat will be in place over many of the same areas as Friday’s outbreak.

potent winter storm arriving from the West Coast will enable the development of thunderstorms before sweeping northeastward across the Plains and into the Great Lakes by Wednesday.

Severe thunderstorms are once again expected from parts of Iowa and Illinois southward to Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee. Some cities in the greatest threat of severe storms include St. Louis, Memphis, Little Rock and Davenport, Iowa.
