Huge Update on Gaza   [7:42]    Avi Abelow

Apr 16, 2025 – Join me to hear an update about our war effort in Gaza that you won’t hear in the mainstream media.

While a majority of the headlines focus on pressure and despair, major victories and progress are happening on the ground — here’s the truth.

Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a firm clarification, stating that Israel has no plans to resume humanitarian aid to Gaza at this time.

April 16, 2024  Jewish Breaking News

“In line with what I said earlier, Israel’s stance is firm—no humanitarian aid will be allowed into Gaza,” Katz said.

He stressed that blocking aid is a key tactic in exerting pressure on Hamas, alongside other ongoing Israeli measures.

Katz criticized those distorting his message, particularly right-wing politicians who condemned his earlier remarks. “It’s unfortunate that some are spreading misinformation,” he said.

He reiterated, “As things stand, no aid is entering Gaza, and there are no preparations underway to do so.”

Looking ahead, Katz said that if aid is ever resumed, it would only be through a system involving civilian companies to ensure Hamas cannot access it.

DEEP STATE: Shin Bet Throws Agent Into Jail For Exposing Secret Probe

April 15, 2025  Yeshiva World News – Yet another Shin Bet affair was revealed on Tuesday morning when an Israeli court lifted the gag order on the case, which began when the Shin Bet leadership and Attorney-General Gali Baharav-Miara threw a senior Shin Bet agent into jail without access to a lawyer for exposing information that embarrassed them.

Several weeks ago, Israeli media outlets reported that Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar had launched a probe into the infiltration of Kahanism into the Israel Police against National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and senior police officials. According to leaked documents, Bar launched the probe even after he was told by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Attorney General Gali Barahav-Miara that there was no legal basis for the investigation. Bar denied launching the probe when confronted by Ben-Gvir, but was then publicly humiliated when Ben-Gvir presented him with an internal Shin Bet document proving that Bar launched the investigation.

A Shin Bet official is now being investigated for “harming state security” for leaking classified information about the probe to Diaspora Minister Amichai Chikli and Channel 12 News reporter Amit Segal. He also revealed information about the internal Shin Bet report regarding its failures on October 7 that was hidden from the public to Yisrael Hayom reporter Shirat Avitan.

The suspect, who has served in the Shin Bet for decades and returned to service following the October 7 massacre, was thrown into prison without access to a lawyer for eight days.

Segal responded to the exposure of the affair by slamming Bar and Baharav-Miara, explaining: “The story is ultimately very simple. Ronen Bar told the Attorney General a chilling story about the Kahanist takeover of the police as it was expressed on Tisha B’Av on Har Habayit. The Attorney General rushed to investigate, and then, much to her embarrassment, it became clear from Bar’s subordinates that it never happened.”

“Bar, in an attempt to restore his standing with her and his people, opened a secret and unprecedented investigation of the police, on suspicion of ‘the spread of Kahanism on the police’ and ordered ‘to bring some findings.’ This investigation also ended with nothing. This did not bother the Attorney General, and she included the false classified information as part of her justifications [for freezing Bar’s dismissal] to the Supreme Court without disclosing that, in professional slang, it was nonsense.”

“I exposed this story and it embarrassed them very much. So far, a total failure. But Bar and Baharav-Miara have tools to hunt down whoever exposed their nakedness and so they threw him into custody without a lawyer. Why? For obstructing a probe? How can you obstruct an investigation that ended in nothing? Will it expose Shin Bet sources? When there are no sources, it is difficult to locate them.”

“In a climate where people care, even reluctantly, about appearances and freedom of the press, you don’t conduct a hunt for sources for personal reasons. A serious organization would be busy with a deep internal investigation into what caused it to dive headfirst into a sham investigation, not double down on it.”

The suspect’s lawyers stated: “Our client, who served in the Shin Bet for decades with great dedication and professionalism, passed on information of enormous public importance in order to bring it to the public’s attention, while taking care not to pass on security information. The information that our client passed on was also not supposed to be classified, and it is undisputed that our client did not pass on information that could endanger the public.”

The lawyers said that the suspect did reveal information to Minister Amichai Chikli and journalist Amit Segal about the investigation process that the heads of the Shin Bet system asked to conduct “regarding political figures and those around them.”

“Additionally, our client revealed information from the Shin Bet’s full investigation into October 7, information that contrary to the report that was published – and pointed mainly to the political echelon on certain issues – presented a more complex picture regarding the conduct and position of the Shin Bet on the eve of October 7th. Our client shared this information of enormous public importance to journalist Shirit Avitan, and it is undisputed that it did not endanger state security.”

“Following the transfer of the aforementioned information, draconian tools were used against our client,” his lawyers said, laborating that he was arrested shortly before Pesach and was prevented from meeting a lawyer.

The lawyers added: “Contrary to the impression arising from the prosecution’s statement, the order preventing a meeting with a lawyer was only removed after an appeal was filed to the District Court, in a decision by the President of the Court,  and with the staunch opposition of the law enforcement authorities, the Police Invesitgations Department and the Shin Bet.”

“It seems that the decision of the heads of the systems is subject to a conflict of interest that affected the way the investigation against our client was and is being conducted. Our client, a family man, a model citizen, who contributed decades to the security of the state, is still detained, and an appeal was filed last night that is expected to be heard before the District Court as soon as possible.”

🟫SECURITY INCIDENT EXPOSED, FALSE LETTERS, BUFFER ZONE CONTROL ISSUE

[2:30 AM, 4/15/2025] +972 54-668-0334   Israel Realtime

✡️Moadim l’Simcha – a good Chol HaMoed (intermediate days of the passover holiday)!

▪️THE NEW SECURITY INCIDENT SHAKING THE ISRAELI SYSTEM – The attorney general ordered the AG’s investigatory unit to investigate how an internal document by her associate Ronen Bar (Shin Bet directory) – which revealed that the head of the Shin Bet is looking for offenses against (Nat. Sec. Minister) Ben Gvir on the grounds that he is instilling kahanism (Jewish extremism) in the police – was leaked to Ch. 12 journalist Amit Segal (מלוכדים News).

Amit Segal: The story in the end is very simple:

(Shin Bet director) Ronen Bar told the Attorney General a chilling story about the takeover of the police by Kahanism (Jewish extremism) as manifested on Tisha B’Av on the Temple Mount (that the Nat. Sec. Minister went up and, wait for it – – prayed).

The Attorney General wanted evidence, and then, to Bar’s embarrassment, it turned out that there was none.

Bar, in an attempt to restore his standing with her and his men, launched a secret and unprecedented investigation of the police, under suspicion of “the spread of Kahanism to the police” and ordered “a number of findings to be brought forward.”

This investigation also ended in nothing.

The Attorney General was not bothered by this, and she included the false secret information as part of her arguments to the High Court of Justice (about the dismissal of the Shin Bet director) without telling that there was no evidence.

The story is published and greatly embarrasses them.

But Shin Bet Director Bar and the Attorney General have tools to hunt down whomever exposed their empty investigation, and so they threw the leaker into custody without a lawyer. Why? Is this obstruction? How can you obstruct an investigation that has ended in nothing? Will it expose sources? When there are no sources, it is difficult to locate them.

In a climate where appearances and freedom of the press are of concern, even if only a little, one does not conduct source hunting for personal reasons.

A serious organization would be engaged in a deep investigation into what caused it to plunge headlong into a false investigation, not doubling the stakes.

▪️GUNS FOR ISRAEL – On direct order from President Trump: The White House has approved the sale of 25,000 assault rifles to the Israeli police after the Biden administration refused to approve the deal.  ( It is unclear if Israel still needs these.  At the time the emergency equipment order was to equip the ‘kitat konenut’, the emergency response squads that were created for each town and city in Israel following the Oct. 7 massacre & invasion.  The Biden administration stopped the order because it included equipping such squads in Judea-Samaria.  In the meantime Israel has increased local manufacture. )

▪️HAREDI UNIT GOES TO WAR – The Hashmonaim Brigade, the first Haredi brigade, will carry out operational activity in the Gaza Strip in the near future.  In addition, in the fitness data of its commanders in the officers’ course at the 1st Infantry Division, the brigade is in first place.

▪️IDF SAYS TO THE GOVT – Israel is creating more buffer zones (in Gaza), but despite the success, it will be difficult to expand control without bringing additional (infantry & armor) forces. ( Which is a problem given the size of the Israeli army without calling up reserves. )

▪️FALSE LETTERS – Israel abounds with news that various military groups, the latest being Intelligence 8200 reservists, are signing letters saying the war must end (by surrendering apparently) to immediately return all the hostages (it being unclear if even surrender would get their return).  But: (Ch. 12) from the letter from the 8200 graduates, only five turned out to be reservists in the 8200. The rest are not serving, are stationed in other units, or simply signed anonymously so that it is impossible to know who they are or if they exist.

The letters are mostly FAKE.

🔹US vs the HOUTHIS – Reports from Yemen: Dozens of Houthis were killed and injured in American attacks in Yemen overnight.

🔹US vs IRAN – conflicting statements about negotiations and goals.  President Trump says Iran cannot have nukes.  Special envoy Steve Witkoff said in an interview with Fox News that the US is not interested in dismantling Iran’s nuclear program but rather in allowing it to continue enriching uranium to a level of 3.67%.

🔷️ GAG ORDER LIFTED ON SECURITY AFFAIR INVOLVING SHIN BET RESERVIST SUSPECTED OF CLASSIFIED LEAK; U.S. DELIVERS OVER 3,000 PRECISION MUNITIONS TO ISRAEL TO SUPPORT IDF OPERATIONS IN GAZA AND POTENTIALLY IRAN

🔹 The Rishon Lezion Magistrate’s Court has lifted a gag order in a sensitive security case involving a Shin Bet reservist official accused of leaking classified information. According to reports, the leak pertained to details of a Shin Bet investigation into “Kahanism” within the police force. The information was allegedly shared with Channel 12 journalist Amit Segal, Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli, and journalist Shirit Avitan Cohen.

The reservist reportedly claimed the leak aimed to reveal information that the Shin Bet had deliberately concealed. The investigation is being jointly conducted by the Shin Bet and the Justice Ministry’s Police Investigation Department and is linked to events that occurred during the ongoing war. Arrests in the case began around April 9, 2025.

Due to ongoing legal restrictions, additional details remain classified.

🔹 Iran is rejecting a U.S. proposal to transfer its enriched uranium stockpile to a third country—likely Russia—as part of efforts to limit its nuclear program. Tehran insists the stockpile should remain under its own control and be monitored by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), calling it a “guarantee” in case President Trump withdraws from any future agreement.

This proposal arises amid intensified U.S.-Iran negotiations. President Trump has issued a two-month ultimatum and hinted at potential military action—possibly involving Israel—if Iran fails to comply. Israel remains deeply concerned about Iran’s nuclear progress, especially the 274.8 kg of uranium enriched to 60%, which is close to weapons-grade and sufficient for multiple nuclear bombs if further refined.

Meanwhile, Iran is not only ramping up uranium production but also consulting with Russia and refusing direct talks with the U.S. The IAEA has called for full cooperation, but diplomatic efforts are faltering, increasing the risk of regional escalation.

💥 Israel is set to receive more than 3,000 U.S.-made precision munitions in an effort to boost the Israeli Air Force’s operational readiness for a potential wide-scale offensive in Gaza and possibly Iran. This shipment is part of a broader U.S. commitment to replenish Israel’s weapons stockpiles, which have been heavily depleted over the past 18 months of ongoing conflict. An additional 10,000 munitions are expected to follow.

The deal, approved under the Trump administration, reverses previous delays and significantly enhances the IDF’s ability to continue its campaign against Hamas.

Joint IDF and ISA forces successfully eliminated Hamza Wael Muhammad Asafah, a senior Nukhba terrorist and commander in Hamas’ Deir al-Balah battalion, who infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7th massacre. He also took part in Hamas’ orchestrated hostage release ceremonies.

Asafah played a direct role in the brutal October 7th attack and later appeared in the staged releases of Israeli hostages Eliyahu Sharabi, Ohad Ben-Ami, and Or Levy. His elimination occurred two weeks ago in central Gaza, following a precise intelligence-led operation.

The IDF and ISA emphasized that significant efforts were made to avoid civilian harm, including the use of aerial surveillance and other intelligence measures.

The statement also condemned Hamas’ continued violations of international law, stating: “The Hamas terrorist organization systematically violates international law while using civilian infrastructure and brutally exploiting the civilian population as human shields for its terrorist activities.”

NO BOUNDARIES: Leftists Spread Chometz Outside Home Of Likud Minister

April 14, 2025  Yeshiva World News – Leftist protesters held a “chometz protest” outside the home of Environmental Protection Minister Idit Silman (Likud) on Monday morning, the first day of Chol HaMoed in Israel, spreading dozens of pitas outside her home.

The leftists, who engaged in the same type of anti-religious protests before October 7, feigned concern over the hostages by tying the protest to their plight, writing “one pita a day” with the pitas as a reference to the starvation rations the hostages receive in Gaza.

Silman, formerly a Yamina MK, brought down the Bennett-Lapid government three years ago over the Health Minister’s order to allow chometz into hospitals on Pesach in violation of Israel’s religious status quo.

Silman responded to the provocation by stating: “Pesach, a street with mostly religious and mesorati people. These scum come have come to spread pitas on the street., It’s not for the sake of the hostages, it’s not for the sake of democracy, it’s not even for politics.”

“It’s only because they are despicable people who lack basic human values. Zero consideration for others, zero respect for Judaism, and zero culture. Absolute zeros. The vast majority of the Am is disgusted by them. Chag Sameach!”

HAMAS REJECTS EGYPTIAN CEASEFIRE PROPOSAL OVER DEMAND TO DISARM

April 14, 2025  Israel Realtime

Hamas has rejected a ceasefire proposal presented by Egypt, which included a key condition that the terror organization lay down its weapons. According to Al Jazeera, Egyptian officials informed Hamas that “there will be no agreement to cease the war without negotiations on Hamas’s disarmament.” In response, a senior Hamas official declared that “the weapons of resistance are not subject to negotiation and are a basic right of the Palestinian people.”

The Egyptian proposal reportedly outlined a 45-day temporary truce that would involve the release of half of the Israeli hostages held by Hamas during the first week, along with increased humanitarian aid entering Gaza. However, Hamas stated that it was “surprised” to find a clause requiring the dismantling of its armed capabilities — a demand it completely rejects.

Hamas informed Egypt that the starting point for any agreement must be an immediate cessation of fighting and a full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza. Disarmament, Hamas emphasized, is non-negotiable. The organization reaffirmed its stance, stating: “The weapons of resistance are not open for discussion, and disarmament is an unacceptable condition.”

The rejection of Egypt’s plan significantly undermines current diplomatic efforts to secure a ceasefire and negotiate the release of hostages. With Hamas refusing to disarm and insisting on the withdrawal of Israeli forces as a precondition, talks remain deadlocked, and the humanitarian and security crises continue to deepen.

🔸 Lebanese President Joseph Aoun stated that the country’s approach to Hezbollah’s weapons will be based on dialogue, not confrontation.

“The decision to restrict arms to the state has been made and will be implemented through dialogue, not force,” Aoun emphasized. He added that any discussion on monopolizing arms will take place directly between the Presidency and Hezbollah, not through external pressure or unilateral actions.

This announcement comes amid growing internal and international calls for Lebanon to assert full sovereignty by disarming non-state actors like Hezbollah, which operates both politically and militarily within the country.

‘National treasure’ Yaakov Kirschen, Dry Bones cartoonist, dies at 87   By DANIELLE GREYMAN-KENNARD

The famed cartoonist, known for Dry Bones, has been published by many leading newspapers in both Israel and the Diaspora.

APRIL 14, 2025 16:51  Jerusalem Post – Israeli cartoonist Yaakov Kirschen passed away on Monday at 87 at the Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba, following a lengthy illness.

The famed cartoonist, known for Dry Bones, has been published by many leading newspapers in both Israel and the Diaspora – including The Jerusalem Post, which was the first to enjoy publishing Kirschen’s work in January of 1973.

“Bones, as his friends and colleagues called him, was a wonderful artist and satirist who always hit the nail on the head with his cartoons,” former Post editor-in-chief Steve Linde shared. “He really was a national treasure.”

JPost Videos

Hirsh Goodman, The Jerusalem Report‘s founder and former Editor-in-Chief, shared: “Kirschen, as ‘Bones’ as we called him after his iconic cartoon, was one of the most diversely creative people I have known. In addition to being able to sum up complicated situations of the day in a small box with few words, he created computer games before many had even heard of the word, a timeless book named Trees still relevant today, years later, and a wonderful rendition of the Haggadah, word perfect and faithful to the original text, but unique in its approach and illustration.

“While some, including myself, were not always aligned politically with his thinking, there was never any doubting his deep intelligence and creativity. As a friend, colleague, and astute observer, he will be deeply missed.”

A long and successful career

The artist had received much recognition for his works, including the Nefesh B’Nefesh Bonei Zion Award and The Golden Pencil Award.

He studied art at Queens College and became a cartoonist after he graduated in 1961.

Beyond his extensive works published by Jewish and Israeli newspapers and syndicates, Kirschen had drawn for the controversial men’s lifestyle Playboy magazine before he made aliyah from Brooklyn in 1971.

Beyond being a talented artist, Kirschen was deeply passionate about Jewish activism. In 2010, the world-renowned Yale University published his article entitled “Memetics and the Viral Spread of Antisemitism through ‘Coded Images in Political Cartoons.'”

“At the beginning of the study, it became apparent that the cartoons that are the most undeniably antisemitic can be recognized even if they are in a language that the observer cannot read,” he prefaced his work with. “The graphic images themselves speak clearly without the words of the cartoon, as many of the same powerfully communicative images appear over and over again in the work of different cartoonists. They are like a familiar cast of characters.”

“For more than forty years, I have been putting ideas into people’s heads. It is what I do. I am a political cartoonist,” he wrote. “Some of my cartoonist colleagues define the purpose of our work as showing the ‘truth,’ others as ‘expressing our opinion,’ but the fact is that what we do is to attempt to put our own ideas into other people’s heads… and we use cartoons to do it.”

Kirschen is survived by his artist wife, Sali Ariel.

[Ed.:  All my life, I enjoyed, and learned from his cartoons. His memory and art will remain as a blessing, Z”L.   Here is the most recent one he posted (I think) yesterday:

The battle over the World Zionist Congress

Progressive Left-Wing groups push to take control of Israel’s national institutions

Apr 9, 2025, 6:15 PM (GMT+3)  In collaboration with ZOAThe battle over the World Zionist Organization is heating up, with progressive left-wing groups attempting to control national institutions in Israel. Yaakov Hagoel, one of the leaders of the World Likud–ZOA 15 coalition, says: “I call on the national camp to vote and help shape the future of the State of Israel and the Jewish people”.

With elections for the World Zionist Congress set for the end of the year, a fight for control is heating up. Left-wing organizations—including the Reform Movement, Brothers in Arms, Meretz, and an affiliate of Yesh Atid—are pouring tens of millions of shekels into a campaign aimed at shifting control of Zionist institutions to the left.

One of the central institutions at stake is the Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF), where the ongoing political struggle has pitted right-leaning and left-leaning representatives against each other. The left has tried to block KKL’s support of the settlements beyond the Green Line. One recent example: at the start of the war, left-wing groups attempted to prevent KKL from funding emergency defense units in Jewish communities across Judea and Samaria. That attempt was ultimately blocked thanks to the persistence of current KKL chair Ifat Ovadia-Luski, a Likud representative in the national institutions.

While left-wing organizations have, even during wartime, staged protests abroad against the Prime Minister, lobbied the Biden administration to sanction Israeli citizens, and in some cases even supported protests against the war itself, the ZOA-15 coalition stands in stark contrast. Led by World Likud and represented by Yaakov Hagoel—currently serving as Chairman of the Executive of the World Zionist Organization—the ZOA-15 coalition has been rallying support in the U.S. for the State of Israel, the Israeli government, the IDF, and Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria.

Recently, left-wing representatives also opposed the Israeli government’s request for help from the World Zionist Organization in supporting the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, which provides aid and support for released hostages and their families. Their opposition failed due to strong pushback from the right-wing coalition.

“These elections, taking place during a time of war, are critical for Israel and the Jewish people”, Yaakov Hagoel says. “They will determine the direction we take, whether it’s the national path that I and my colleagues in World Likud–ZOA 15 champion, or the path of the progressive left”.

He added: “Every Jew over 18 in the U.S. is eligible to vote. The process is entirely online. You fill out a form, pay five dollars—what we call the ‘Zionist shekel’—and confirm you’re a real person. You also sign a declaration that you believe in the principles of Zionism, didn’t vote in the last Israeli election, and are a Jew over 18. We’re asking voters to support party number 15, ZOA—a respected, long-standing, experienced, and ideological organization working on behalf of the Jewish people and the State of Israel”.

‘He could go jump in a lake’: New recording of Shin Bet Jewish Department chief emerges

In a newly exposed recording from a conversation with the commander of the Judea and Samaria Police Central Unit, the head of the Shin Bet Jewish Department could be heard disparaging a court judge.

Apr 14, 2025, 6:14 PM (GMT+3)  Israel National NewsAnother recording was published on Monday of A., the head of the Jewish Department in the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), this time making disparaging remarks about a court judge.

The recording, which will be published later in the day by Kan News, is of part of a conversation with Cmdr. Avishai Moalem, the commander of the Judea and Samaria Police Central Unit. Besides criticizing the court’s request to review the Shin Bet materials, A. chose to make abnormal remarks about the judge in the case.

In the recording, Moalem is heard saying about one of the judges: “He saw materials – he says he wants to see the Shin Bet’s paraphrase, the Shin Bet’s raw materials.” A. is then heard responding: “He won’t see it, he could go jump in a lake, who does he think he is?”

Last week, a recording was exposed in which A. is heard disparaging detainees and even expressing his intentions to keep them in custody without evidence.

Last week, after the first recording was exposed, A. announced that he was suspending himself from his position until an internal investigation into the remarks concludes.

In an internal statement to department staff, he wrote: “I am sorry from the depths of my heart for the style of the things that were said, which do not characterize how I deal with the many other bodies with whom we collaborate.”

He added: “I totally discredit the attempt to create an appearance of work that violates the law or the values of restraint of power and statesmanship. I misspoke in a way that does not match the agency’s values and my own, and therefore, to allow for a thorough examination and through my dedication to leading by example, I suspend myself from my position as the head of the department until the completion of the thorough examination of the issue.”

In the first recording, A. referred to suspects in Judea and Samaria as ‘Shmucks’ and stated that they can be detained even without evidence for a few days. In the recorded conversation with Moalem, the two discussed was to deal with Jewish terror suspects in Judea and Samaria, and A. stated: “Put them in detention cells, with mice.”

During the conversation, the ISA official added, “We always want to arrest them for interrogation, as much as possible. See how ISA conducts investigations with them. We arrest those shmucks even without evidence for a few days.”

Khamenei warned: Iran will be attacked an the regime will fall

During a meeting with Iranian officials, the Supreme Leader was warned that if he avoided negotiations with the Americans, it may lead to the end of his regime.

Apr 11, 2025  Israel National News – The New York Times is reporting that last month, a closed meeting was held in Tehran between Iranian officials and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. According to two sources who were present during the conversation, Khamenei was warned about the future of the nuclear program.

The sources claimed that Khamenei received a clear message that he should consider dialogue- even direct – with the United States regarding the nuclear issue. They further warned him that avoiding such a move could lead to strikes on nuclear sites and harm the regime’s stability.

The meeting was held amid internal debates in Tehran regarding a response to US President Donald Trump’s offer to renew negotiations on a new nuclear deal. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, as well as the heads of the judicial and legislative branches, were among those present at the meeting. The Supreme Leader himself has, in the past, strongly opposed any contact with Washington.

US Middle East Envoy Steve Witkoff is expected to arrive in Oman over the weekend, ahead of talks with Iranian representatives. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Bakaai discussed the talks and wrote that Tehran is seriously examining the American side’s intentions and is interested in negotiations that could lead to a deal.

An Iranian source quoted by Arab media said that the Iranian delegation is expected to arrive in Muskat with extensive authority, and clarified that Iran did not accept a demand to stop the enrichment of unranium. He noted that there is willingness to advance an agreement but not at the price of an American threat or pressure.
