The Seven-Front War: How Israel Rewrote the Rules of Deterrence in 2025.
June 22, 2025 @ 1:50 PM IST Israel Realtime
🇮🇱 Following a briefing by IDF Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin, Israel revealed it is conducting one of its most ambitious operations to date—Operation “Rising Lion.” According to Defrin, the mission spans multiple fronts and includes long-range precision operations inside Iran, nearly 1,500 kilometers away. “Let me be clear: the Iranian regime is responsible for the war that has raged for over 600 days,” he stated. “From Gaza to Lebanon, from Yemen to Tehran — the Iranian regime has spent years fueling terror across the region. And now, the cost of their aggression is being felt on their own soil.”
As part of this global effort to dismantle Iran’s terror infrastructure, U.S. forces struck nuclear sites in Iran overnight, a move described as a pivotal moment in halting the regime’s ability to endanger regional and global stability. Defrin emphasized that the IDF is operating “day and night” to meet all strategic objectives, while systematically eroding Iran’s ability to threaten Israel.
In a joint operation by the IDF and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), the bodies of three Israeli hostages were recovered in an exchange with Hamas from the Gaza Strip. The victims were identified as Ofra Keidar (71), a mother of three from Kibbutz Be’eri, who was murdered alongside her husband Shmuel; Yonatan Samerano (21), abducted from the Nova music festival after being shot by Hamas terrorists; and Staff Sergeant Shay Levinson (19), a tank commander who was killed while defending Israeli communities on October 7. His body was also taken to Gaza after the battle.
Disturbingly, one of the Hamas terrorists involved in the Nova massacre was identified as a UNRWA employee, raising serious questions about the role of UN personnel in the October 7th atrocities. Defrin stated, “Let that sink in: UN workers took part in the October 7th massacre.”
As of today, fifty Israeli hostages remain in brutal captivity. Brig. Gen. Defrin concluded with a powerful message: “We will not rest until every hostage is home. We will continue to act, with resolve and determination, to protect the citizens of Israel.”
🇮🇱 In a national address, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that Israel and the United States carried out a highly coordinated strike operation—Operation Am Kalavi (“Rising Lion”)—against three of Iran’s key nuclear sites: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. Netanyahu declared: “From the beginning of this operation, I promised that Iran’s nuclear facilities would be destroyed—one way or another. That promise was kept.” He described how U.S. B-2 stealth bombers struck Fordow, while American submarines launched Tomahawk missiles at Natanz and Isfahan. Netanyahu emphasized that the missions were executed in full operational coordination between the IDF, the Mossad, and U.S. military forces.
Netanyahu praised President Trump, stating: “President Trump is a great friend of Israel, a friend like no other… I thank him from the bottom of my heart, and I know that I speak from the heart of every Israeli.” He concluded his address with a message of unity and resolve: “We stand together. We fight together. And with God’s help—we win together.” Quoting the Torah, he added: “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”
🇮🇱 Defense Minister Israel Katz echoed these sentiments, describing the U.S. strikes as a “historic decision” that aligned perfectly with Israel’s own objectives. Katz stated, “I congratulate President Trump for acting to ensure Iran does not achieve nuclear capability—a danger to Israel, the region, and even U.S. national security.” He also commended Prime Minister Netanyahu for his leadership throughout Operation “Am Kalavi”, saying it represents a historic milestone in Israeli-American cooperation and a strategic breakthrough in neutralizing Iran’s nuclear threat.

“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” Trump said on Truth Social on Saturday.

‼️ U.S. Reinforces Missile Defenses in Israel
The United States is actively replenishing its stockpile of THAAD interceptor missiles deployed on Israeli soil, according to The Wall Street Journal. U.S. Navy destroyers are now positioned within range to intercept incoming missile threats aimed at Israel. Notably, there have been no ballistic missile launches from Iran since 2:42 AM—marking 19 hours of unusual quiet on that front.
💥 U.S. B-2 Bombers in Motion; Guam Reinforced: At least six B-2 Spirit bombers lifted off from Whiteman Air Force Base earlier today, escorted by eight U.S. Air Force refueling tankers. These aircraft can conduct long-range bombing missions directly to Iran. Simultaneously, additional B-2 bombers have been forward-deployed to Guam, a move confirmed by Reuters. While the Pentagon claims no formal strike order has been issued, the scale and precision of these deployments suggest imminent readiness.
⚔ Israel Ready to Strike Fordow If U.S. Delays: Israel is reportedly prepared to carry out a solo attack on Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility if the U.S. opts against military action. This is according to N12 News. In response to rising tensions, Prime Minister Netanyahu has instructed all Israeli ministers to avoid public statements in the coming days—signaling sensitive operational developments.
‼️ Potential First Wave: Air, Naval & Cyber Forces: Sources in the Middle East indicate that all battle stations are on high alert. The buildup seen in the Pacific might be a decoy, with real strikes expected from alternate fronts. U.S. strategy reportedly includes coordinated attacks using the Air Force, Navy, and even President Trump’s Space Force. The first wave will aim to dismantle Iran’s ability to respond. Israel is expected to actively participate alongside U.S. bombers, likely providing tactical support and escorts. B-52 bombers may also be tasked with striking Houthi targets. A significant cyber offensive is expected as D-DAY nears, with Supreme Leader Khamenei potentially targeted in initial strikes.
⚠️ Massive U.S. Build-Up Near Iran
Recent satellite imagery of Al Amir Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia—only 600 km from Iran—reveals a significant U.S. military presence. Observed in the images are 22 refueling aircraft, 53 F-16 fighter jets, and 10 transport planes. This deployment points to full operational readiness for a potential multi-front engagement.
⚠️ Russia Monitoring Closely, Assisting Iran
Russia is providing Iran with real-time intelligence in anticipation of a U.S. strike. Russian officials now believe that U.S. involvement on the ground or in direct strikes is likely in the coming hours or days. In a notable development, Russian scientists are still present at the Bushehr nuclear facility.
🔸 Trump’s Inner Circle Split on Timing
Within President Trump’s administration, deep divisions persist between hawks pushing for an immediate strike and those advocating for diplomatic patience. According to The Washington Post, those urging restraint have gained some ground. However, President Trump stated: “Two weeks is the right time to see if the Iranians come to their senses or not. I will give Iran a maximum of two weeks.”
🔐 Israel Fortifies Civilian Defense Infrastructure: The Israeli government has approved a comprehensive plan to bolster public protection, investing 100 million NIS to upgrade 500 existing public bomb shelters—mostly in central Israel, which has been a frequent Iranian target—and to deploy 1,000 mobile roadside shelters across vulnerable areas. According to the Defense Ministry, this decision was made “in light of the security situation,” and was finalized through an emergency phone vote.

Israel Killed 9 Iranian Nuke Scientists in Their Sleep – Special, Unidentified Weapon Used for Simultaneous Assassinations By C. Douglas Golden
June 21, 2025
A week after Israel seriously compromised Iran’s nuclear program by wiping out nearly all of its top scientists, details of the surprise attack — albeit sketchy ones — are beginning to emerge.
According to multiple sources, the operation to take out the scientists — a sub-operation within Operation Rising Lion, the name given to the attacks on Iran that began in the early hours of last Friday — was called Operation Narnia, according to numerous sources.
The Jerusalem Post said that the name — taken from the fantasy world in C.S. Lewis’ “Chronicles of Narnia” books — “reflects the operation’s improbable nature.”
Indeed, the operation managed to wipe out nine out of the top 10 scientists in Iran’s nuclear program: Fereydoun Abbasi, Mohammad Mahdi Tehranchi, Akbar Matlali Zadeh, Saeed Beraji, Amir Hassan Faqahi, Abd al-Hamid Minushahr, Mansour Asgari, Ahmad Reza Davalparki Daryani, and Ali Bakhayi Kathehremi.
All nine scientists were sleeping in their beds when they were killed; Israel decided to time the operation at night and simultaneously so there would be no time to tip off the others.
The tenth scientist was killed shortly thereafter in subsequent strikes on Iranian leadership and the country’s nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs.
The news was originally reported by Hebrew-language Israeli television station Channel 12, which the Times of Israel said learned the scientists “were killed using a special weapon whose details were barred from publication.”
The 10th nuclear scientist was killed shortly after the other nine, as part of the overnight Thursday-Friday Israeli operation, which included strikes on Iran’s ballistic missile program and the Natanz nuclear site, along with the elimination of top members of the Islamic Republic’s military leadership, the network says.
The nuclear scientists were all killed while they were sleeping in their beds, with Israel deciding to carry out the assassinations simultaneously so that there wouldn’t be time to tip off those being targeted.
The scientists apparently believed they were safe from such targeting in their homes, a senior Israeli official tells Channel 12, noting that previously assassinated nuclear scientists were killed while heading to their cars after work.
It’s unclear what methods the Israelis used to kill the scientists, but the Jewish state has shown remarkable ingenuity in tracking down its enemies and catching them in situations where they’re unaware of the danger.
Perhaps the best recent example of this was the operation which used explosive pagers to eliminate much of Hezbollah’s leadership structure in a scheme carried out last autumn.
Israeli intelligence went so far as to license and build a pager with the plastic explosive pentaerythritol tetranitrate — better known as PETN, one of the components of the bomb that took down Pan Am Flight 103 in 1988 — and create an elaborate backstory for the pager model ordered by Hezbollah leadership.
According to Reuters, the Lebanese-based terror organization had switched to pagers after it realized that Israel had infiltrated its cellular networks. That attack killed at least 40 people.
It’s unclear whether that weapon is similar to the weapon used in Operation Narnia or if a different strategy was employed to kill the scientists.
However, Channel 12 reported that the Iranian scientists had been tracked for years by Israeli intelligence; the decision to eliminate them was made last November.
“Israeli intelligence officials felt that the killing of the nuclear scientists was the most important part of Operation Narnia because the military leadership and equipment killed would be more easily replaceable, while the knowledge held by the nuclear scientists would take much longer to ascertain, the network said, citing an unnamed senior Israeli official,” the Times of Israel reported.
Israel has also leveraged the attacks as part of its information warfare against Iran, sending a message from the Israel Defense Forces’ social media account in Persian saying that senior regime officials were privately pleading with them not to turn the country into Gaza or Lebanon after the initial set of attacks.
That tactical edge also helped when Iran struck a building that belongs to the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad. “Iran claims to have attacked a Mossad building with missile strikes,” the post read. “Fortunately, no one was there … everyone is in Iran.
