🟪HAMAS SAYS, HAREDI PROTESTERS ASSAULT, ABOUT THOSE POLLS, and REGIONAL SITUATION?

September 18, 2025  Israel Realtime

💩HAMAS SAYS – Senior Hamas official, Hamad: “We are not afraid of Trump’s threats to open the gates of hell on us. We do not take instructions from him on how to deal with the enemy captives. We treat them according to our values and religion. Whoever wants to release the captives must order Netanyahu to agree to a prisoner exchange deal and stop the war.”

▪️HAREDI PROTESTERS ASSAULT IDF SOLDIERS – Two soldiers were injured by pepper spray sprayed by Haredi protesters outside Prison 10.  More significantly, the protesters also threw stones at the vehicle in which the soldiers were traveling, which was transporting several Haredi draft dodgers who were arrested and convicted of draft dodging, headed for a short prison sentence.

One prisoner, who was transported in the military vehicle, sent his location via WhatsApp, which led dozens of Haredim near the prison to locate the vehicle. A confrontation developed on the spot during which the young man asked the driver to stop claiming he needed to vomit – then he jumped out of the window and escaped.

▪️ASSESSMENT – REGIONAL SITUATION – (The Arab Desk) Almost all Arab sources and factors agree that in the next two weeks, before the beginning of October, the region is going to change.  It is impossible to know if this is standard Arab conspiracy theories and propaganda, or if there are solid concerns.  This doesn’t explicitly mean Israel, as Lebanon could devolve into civil war, the Syrian regime hangs by a thread, Iran has a fair amount of civil unrest, and the Houthis are just looking to lash out while British forces are preparing non-Houthi Yemen forces to go against them.

▪️ON JUDICIAL AUTHORITY – Justice Minister Levin: ‘The amendment to the Bar Association Law has been pending for many months in the Supreme Court. The legislative process in the Knesset has become a kind of recommendation, while the court is overstepping its authority to act as a supreme legislator.’

▪️ON THE PM’s SHIN BET DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT – The attorney general’s position is there is no cause to disqualify General Zini. She believes he should clarify to the committee the claims published against him, but there is no cause for his disqualification.  According to her, Zini himself did not violate a High Court order or a binding legal directive.  Political Journalist Amit Segal comments: ‘Where did her legal opinion from just four months ago disappear to, which said “there is serious doubt whether Zini can be appointed”? After all, this is objective science, not a personal vendetta.’

▪️ON POLITICAL POLLS – Ch. 13 polled: the public’s stance on the ground operation to capture Gaza City, and 48% responded that they support it, compared to 38% who oppose.  But then polled, following reports the IDF Chief opposed the operation: who you think is right in the debate. Most opinion holders (46%) said they justify the Chief of Staff, compared to 30% who think the political echelon’s position is correct.

Meaning: the public supports the operation in Gaza against the IDF Chief of Staff’s position, and then expresses enthusiastic support for the Chief of Staff’s position against the operation.

And related, here’s the polls for how the opposition will do, as a bloc, in the next election:

60 seats per Kan 11

58 seats per Reshet 13

49 seats per Ch. 14

▪️GAZANS DEPART – A jumbo jet landed yesterday evening at Ramon Airport in Eilat (the airport targeted daily by the Houthis), on which Gazan passengers boarded to emigrate to the United Arab Emirates and Sri Lanka.

▪️US EQUIPMENT – An American military cargo plane was spotting transferring weapons from Al-Udeid base in Qatar to Nevatim base in Israel.

♦️COUNTER-TERROR – JUDEA-SAMARA –  Judea and Samaria district police and IDF forces began an operation in the village of Tzurif after during the night terrorists from the village threw stones and set vehicles on fire – two suspects were arrested and dozens of targets were searched.

♦️TARGETED STRIKES AGAINST HEZBOLLAH – Lebanese media report an Israeli strike against a vehicle in the Baalbek area in northeastern Lebanon. According to the IDF, the targeted Hezbollah operative Hussein Sharif was a senior weapons dealer and supplier, and worked from Lebanon to direct terror cells in Syria to carry out attacks against Israel.  3 Hezbollah operatives reported eliminated.

🇬🇧UK TO RECOGNIZE “PALESTINE”?  Reports say British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will recognize a Palestinian state by the weekend.  But Japan, which had hinted it also would, says it will not.

🇸🇾SYRIAN REGIME LEADER SAYS – (why do all the news reports refer to him as “president”? He certainly isn’t elected and isn’t serving a ‘term’)  Syrian Regime Leader al-Julani: ‘Security talks with Israel may lead to results in the coming days. If the security agreement succeeds, additional agreements can be reached, but peace and normalization are not currently on the table.’

🇹🇷TURKEY DEMANDS RIGHT TO – – JERUSALEM – President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan:  “We, as Muslims, will not back down from our rights over East Jerusalem.  Our struggle to make Jerusalem, considered holy by all Abrahamic religions, a city of peace, tranquility, and security will continue with unwavering determination, without slowing down, retreating, or being swayed. Similarly, we will continue to exert all our efforts to establish an independent, sovereign, and territorially complete Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.”

🇸🇦SAUDI ARABIA – Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have officially signed a mutual defense treaty. Any aggression against either of the two countries will be considered aggression against both.  Being Pakistan has been attacked by India and Afghani rebel groups, and Saudi Arabia has been attacked by the Houthis, repeatedly, and neither has ever helped the other previously, who is this protecting them from?  If you said ‘protecting Saudi Arabia from ISRAEL’, you’re right!

🌎WORLD NEWS OF NOTE – EDGING TOWARDS MASSIVE CONFLICT – Poland requested NATO to transfer nuclear missiles to its territory, and the alliance approved the request. The move is intended to respond to Russian drone attacks in recent weeks. Polish and NATO officials warned: “Any Russian attempt to continue attacks will be met with a severe response, including advanced military means and nuclear defense.”

They don’t mind dead Jews   Avi Abelow

September 18, 2025  Israel Video Network – Pulse of Israel

On the one hand, scary times to be a Jew…

Charlie Kirk was executed, and instead of mourning or seeking truth, some conservative influencers are jumping into blaming Israel, reviving lies, distortions, and age-old conspiracies.

A generation craving clarity is being fed confusion, and the death of a good man is being hijacked to spread Jew-hatred and turn young conservatives against Israel, something he would abhor. I can say that clearly, as I was looking forward to seeing him on an upcoming trip of his to Israel, planned months ago, long before the Bill Ackman meeting and the Netanyahu phone call.

Meanwhile in Israel, some are saying, “This is not the country I want to live in,” reacting to Prime Minister Netanyahu’s call for military self-reliance and his comparison to Sparta. Suddenly, they can’t handle the truth, we have enemies who want us dead and allies who won’t help us stop them. Their illusions of peace have shattered, but they still refuse to accept the reality, a genocidal Islamic enemy surrounds us, using the invented identity of “palestinians” to rally global support in their war against us.

But as the West turns its back, imposing embargoes, applying diplomatic pressure, and isolating us, I’ll say this plainly:

This is exactly the Israel I want to live in.

Not because it’s easy. Not because we’re loved. But because we are finally waking up, shedding illusions that nearly destroyed us on October 7th.

The world isn’t turning on us because we’re doing something wrong. It’s turning on us because we’re winning.

They don’t mind dead Jews. They build museums and cry at our graves. But when we defend ourselves? When we dare to survive?

Suddenly, we’re the villains.

Let that sink in.

Sympathy for the Oct. 7 massacre evaporated the moment we fought back in Gaza to make sure it never happens again, immediately being told to stop. “Don’t go into Gaza”. Then “Don’t go into Rafah” etc.

We are not hated because we’re cruel. We’re hated because we’re winning.

And that strength, the choice to fight, to protect, to live, is shaking a world that grew comfortable with weak Jews.

Let them talk about “proportionality.” Let the naive call for coexistence with genocidal terrorists. We’ve buried our children. We’ve heard the screams of our raped women. We know better.

“Never again” is not a slogan. It’s a mission.

Victory isn’t optional. It’s the only way to secure our children’s future. And if that offends the UN or college campuses, so be it.

Netanyahu is right: We must become self-sufficient. Let the West embargo us. Let them condemn us. We will lean not on their approval, but on our faith, unity, and national destiny.

The Torah says: Do not fear them, for the Lord your God is with you.

We were never meant to fear enemies, or friends who turn their backs. We are meant to fear God alone and walk proudly in His land.

To those losing hope as anti-Israel sentiment grows, especially with the loss of Israel support in young conservatives after Charlie Kirk’s murder, know this:

Israel isn’t broken. Israel is being rebuilt.

No more dependence on global approval. No more illusions of Oslo or coexistence with monsters. No more fear of boycotts or cancel culture.

We are back in our homeland, aligned with our mission, guided by our faith, and strengthened through trial.

This is the Israel I prayed to live in. This is the Israel we are called to build.

In 1967, the world respected us. In six days, we crushed enemies bent on our destruction, reunited Jerusalem, and changed the region.

They didn’t love us, but they respected us.

America only began to sell Israel weapons after we won the miraculous six-day war. Up until that war, Israel was reliant on France for weapons! Internalize that.

Today, after the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, the world turns on us again, not because we’re militarily weak, but because of an internal deep-state that projects national weakness to the world, that has forced the war to drag on too long.

Why?

Because the hostage crisis was weaponized.

Of course we love our hostages. But the left, the media, and Israeli elites that publicly claim Netanyahu and his government are more dangerous than Hamas, used the hostage issue to demoralize and divide our nation, pressure Israel into restraint, and stall and elongate the war effort.

Instead of total victory, we got endless ceasefires, reliance on Qatar, the very sponsors of Hamas, and continuous internal protests weakening national morale.

And when a war drags on because of internal demoralization, the world smells weakness, even when we’re winning.

The truth? Israel is winning. Hamas is cornered. Gaza is in ruins. Hezbollah is shrinking. Iran is stunned. Qatar is scared.

But a powerful, yet tiny, deep state, together with a mainstream media echo chamber, projecting weakness give our enemies hope and invite pressure from the world.

In 1967, we didn’t apologize. We didn’t flinch. We didn’t negotiate. We won, united and unapologetically. Same as in the 1973 war.

That clarity, that spiritual strength, made us untouchable. We need it again.

Stop waiting for permission. Stop caring what the world thinks. Remember who we are, why we’re here, and who truly writes this story.

God brought us home. He sustains our soldiers. He is the reason we survive.

Military victory is the easy part. The harder struggle is internal, against the deep state and media voices of doubt, division, and demoralization.

When we overcome that internal enemy, when we unite around our purpose and recognize God as our source of national strength, we will not only defeat our enemies, we will earn the world’s respect again.

And more importantly, we will find real peace, not with our enemies, but within ourselves.

So, do not be depressed because of the growing Jew-hatred and anti-Israel sentiment.

Hold on to your faith. This is the fire molding us into the God fearing nation, in our ancestral homeland that we are supposed to be. We will overcome it all, external and internal.

This is our moment to awaken, to teach the deeper spiritual truth behind this war.

For the hostages. For the fallen. For our children. For our future. For humanity.

For the God of Israel, who never slumbers or sleeps, brought us home to be a light unto the nations, from this holy land, forever.

The Trap in Damascus   AYNAZ ANNI CYRUS

Israel’s secret talks with Syria’s new regime could hand Iran the battle map

SEP 17, 2025 – Opinion

When Axios leaked details on September 16, 2025, of Israel’s quiet negotiations with Syria’s new government, the headlines looked clinical: demilitarized zones, no-fly areas, and a guaranteed air corridor eastward. On the surface, that reads like Israel is cementing its security. But step back, and you see something far more dangerous. What’s being described is not a defensive arrangement. It is a document that risks giving Iran protection under the cover of a ceasefire and giving Syria’s fragile Islamist-rooted regime international legitimacy it has not earned.

Who Is Israel Negotiating With

The Syrian state is now in the hands of a transitional government, established after the collapse of the old order in late 2024. At its center is Ahmed al-Sharaa, installed as transitional president in January 2025 under an interim constitution. Al-Sharaa is not a technocrat or a neutral caretaker; he rose from the ranks of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), a group born out of al-Qaeda’s Syrian branch.

This Substack is reader-supported. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Upgrade to paid

This “caretaker” government is a patchwork of Islamist factions and fragile alliances, not a stable democracy. For Israel to sit across the table from al-Sharaa is not to negotiate with a reformed state, but to legitimize a leadership that grew out of jihadist networks and continues to operate within Tehran’s orbit.

What Israel Is Offering

Axios laid out the proposal in careful terms:

Three zones in southern Syria, each with different military restrictions. The closer to Israel’s border, the fewer Syrian troops allowed. On paper, that lowers the risk of clashes. In practice, it depends on Damascus reining in militias it has never controlled.

Demilitarized and no-fly areas southwest of Damascus, meant to create buffers along Israel’s frontier. The idea is to keep aircraft, drones, and heavy weapons back. But no-fly zones are only as strong as the regime enforcing them, and Syria has long let Iran and its proxies operate freely.

A protected aerial corridor eastward, giving Israel written assurance it can cross Syrian skies to reach Iran if strikes are needed. This is the centerpiece. It looks like a safeguard, but once codified, it becomes a framework Iran can study, exploit, and use to rally international pressure whenever Israel acts.

Israel frames the deal as an update to the 1974 disengagement agreement, borrowing language from the 1979 peace treaty with Egypt. On paper, it appears precedent. In reality, it is new: Israel asking Damascus for permission slips on its most critical defense priority, stopping Iran’s nuclear march.

Why This Is Not Security, But a Trap

The corridor is the key. Israel believes it is securing access, but any agreement signed with Damascus would almost certainly include maps, boundaries, and operational limits. Once those details are written down and formalized, they do not stay secret. Agreements are archived, shared with guarantors such as the United States or Russia, circulated through the United Nations system, and often leaked or referenced in diplomatic channels.

Iran already has deep networks inside Syria. Intelligence officers, militias, and political allies ensure that whatever Syria signs will make its way to Tehran. Once Iran has access to those maps, it gains advance knowledge of Israel’s intended routes and restrictions. In war, surprise is everything. If Iran knows where Israel is likely to fly and what areas Israel has promised to avoid, then Israel’s most valuable advantage, unpredictability, is lost.

The danger is not only in the words written on paper. It is the visibility Israel hands to its enemy by locking strategy into a framework that Damascus cannot keep out of Tehran’s reach.

This is not speculation. The Oslo Accords produced detailed maps that Hamas studied and later used to plan attacks. The 2005 withdrawal from Gaza created a vacuum that Hamas filled, turning it into one of the most entrenched terror bases in the world. Each time Israel trusted agreements to protect its borders, its enemies used the paperwork as weapons.

By negotiating with Ahmed al-Sharaa’s government today, Israel is repeating that mistake on a larger scale.

Who Really Gains

Syria’s Transitional Government
The new administration in Damascus gains recognition that it could never have earned on its own. By negotiating directly with Israel, it receives a seat at the table of international diplomacy. For Ahmed al-Sharaa, this is not just policy but survival. He can present himself as a statesman who extracted concessions from Israel, even though his power rests on fragile alliances. Legitimacy abroad helps him consolidate power at home.

Iran
Tehran gains both time and protection. What Israel sees as a guarantee of access can just as easily become Iran’s shield. Once Israel commits its operations to writing, Iran will have the advantage of knowing where the red lines lie. That knowledge allows Tehran to continue strengthening its nuclear and missile programs while calculating around Israel’s constraints. Every delay or diplomatic layer buys Iran more breathing room.

Washington
The United States gains a headline. With the UN General Assembly convening, the White House wants to showcase “progress” in the Middle East. Whether the agreement holds or collapses later matters less than being able to point to negotiations as proof of diplomacy at work. For Washington, this is about optics, not outcomes.

Israel
Israel gains the least. At best, it can claim legal cover for strikes it has always carried out without asking permission. At worst, it binds itself to agreements that enemies can study and exploit. The element of surprise, critical to Israel’s survival, is replaced by documents that others can examine, circulate, and plan around. Once operations are mapped, they cease to be strategy; they become targets.

Israel does not need Damascus to approve its survival. A government led by an HTS commander is not a security partner.

A corridor to Tehran mapped out in Damascus is not an advantage; it is a trap.

Israel Completes ‘Laser Dome’, Set to Deploy and Burn Rockets, Mortars & Drones at Near-Zero Cost

Gaza got FAFO’d!  What could they possibly have done to deserve this?? (Rhetorical question)

STAGGERING NUMBERS: The Israeli Air Force struck over 850 targets and hundreds of operatives in Gaza City in the past week, the military says, ahead of a ground offensive in the area that began last night.

[Ed.:  If you kill them – THAT, they don’t mind.  It’s part of their so-called religion.  But, if you do this to them – it really gets to them!  It’s an assault on their ‘honor’…]

HELP, HELP, THE JEWS ARE COMING!! (What did we do to deserve this?)

GAZA UPDATE — IT’S HAPPENING. AND IT’S ONLY THE BEGINNING.   Avi Abelow

September 16, 2025  Israel Video Network – Pulse of Israel

After a night of intense, widespread IDF operations, with IDF tanks bank traveling the streets of Gaza City, assessments from within the army reveal a major turning point: over 40% of Gaza City’s population has evacuated. This isn’t just a statistic, it’s a strategic breakthrough.

The IDF is now actively maneuvering into key sectors of Gaza City. Two combat divisions have pushed into the heart of the terror capital, while another prepares to join. A fourth division secures the perimeter. Gaza City is being squeezed, tactically, militarily, and psychologically.

The army’s method is clear and effective: first, overwhelming firepower to obliterate Hamas infrastructure; then, the ground entry. Gaza is surrounded. The IDF has operational control around the entire city. This is no longer just about defense, this is decisive action.

This morning, the IDF issued a final warning to Gazans still in the city:

“The IDF has begun destroying Hamas infrastructure in Gaza City. Remaining in the area endangers your lives. Evacuate immediately, via Rashid Street, south of Wadi Gaza. Join the 40% who have already left.”

And let’s be clear: this isn’t just a military operation, it’s a humanitarian necessity. Every war taught us the same lesson: maneuvering forces on the ground is the most effective way to evacuate civilians and defeat terror. Airstrikes alone won’t cut it. Hamas uses civilians as shields, and then cries to the world when they get hurt. Enough.

And now, we have this: U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, departing from Israel, stood firm behind our fight. In a powerful message from Ben Gurion Airport, he said:

“Our first choice is a peaceful resolution — but only if Hamas dismantles its military wing and stops being a threat. Sometimes, with savages like Hamas, that’s not possible — but we hope it is.”

Defense Minister Yisrael Katz declared:

“Gaza is burning. The IDF is striking terror infrastructure with an iron fist. Our soldiers are fighting bravely to free the hostages and defeat Hamas. We will not stop until the mission is complete.”

And Prime Minister Netanyahu responded to former U.S. President Trump with gratitude:

“Thank you, President Trump, for your unwavering support in our fight against Hamas and for the release of our hostages.”

Now, let me say what must be said — clearly and without apology:

We cannot allow any form of Arab self-rule in Gaza. Period.

Because Arab self-rule in Gaza always, always, turns into genocidal Muslim terror. Whether Hamas, ISIS etc it will turn into jihad. And then the rockets return, the tunnels return, the massacres return, the kidnappings return.

We’ve tried “disengagement.” We’ve tried “peace processes.” We handed Gaza over in 2005, and what did we get? October 7th. Burned babies. Massacred families. Slaughtered festivalgoers.

Never again.

Netanyahu and Trump might work towards Arab self -rule in Gaza, but it will undoubtedly eventually fail. And it is inevitable that we will make Gaza Jewish again.

The sooner the better to restore full Israeli sovereignty over Gaza. Not as occupiers, but as liberators.

We will rebuild, restore, and yes, make Gaza Jewish again. That’s not extremism. That’s survival. That’s justice. That’s the only way to guarantee peace, security, and future for our children.

The world can scream. The UN can cry. The left can rage.

But the truth is this: There is no Palestine. There is only Israel.

And we will ensure that Gaza never again becones a launchpad for jihad.

It will be a home for Jews, as the Gazans will have left thanks to Trump’s Gaza emigration plan.

Because only a Jewish Gaza can guarantee a safe Israel.

[Ed.:  God is raising up warriors

Isaiah 13:1-3 is the opening of a prophecy against Babylon, describing God’s instruction to raise a signal banner on a high mountain to summon an invading army. God declares that He has “commanded my sanctified ones,” calling His mighty warriors to execute His anger against Babylon. These are not just any soldiers, but those who “rejoice in my highness,” meaning they are ready and eager to fulfill God’s purpose.

Especially verse 15

Isaiah 41

JPS Tanakh 1917

1Keep silence before Me, O islands,

And let the peoples renew their strength;

Let them draw near, then let them speak;

Let us come near together to judgment.

2Who hath raised up one from the east,

At whose steps victory attendeth?

He giveth nations before him,

And maketh him rule over kings;

His sword maketh them as the dust,

His bow as the driven stubble.

3He pursueth them, and passeth on safely;

The way with his feet he treadeth not.

4Who hath wrought and done it?

He that called the generations from the beginning.

I, the LORD, who am the first,

And with the last am the same.

5The isles saw, and feared;

The ends of the earth trembled;

They drew near, and came.

6They helped every one his neighbour;

And every one said to his brother:

‘Be of good courage.’

7So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith,

And he that smootheth with the hammer him that smiteth the anvil,

Saying of the soldering: ‘It is good’;

And he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved.

8But thou, Israel, My servant,

Jacob whom I have chosen,

The seed of Abraham My friend;

9Thou whom I have taken hold of from the ends of the earth,

And called thee from the uttermost parts thereof,

And said unto thee: ‘Thou art My servant,

I have chosen thee and not cast thee away’;

10Fear thou not, for I am with thee,

Be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I strengthen thee, yea, I help thee;

Yea, I uphold thee with My victorious right hand.

11Behold, all they that were incensed against thee

Shall be ashamed and confounded;

They that strove with thee

Shall be as nothing, and shall perish.

12Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them,

Even them that contended with thee;

They that warred against thee

Shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.

13For I the LORD thy God

Hold thy right hand,

Who say unto thee: ‘Fear not,

I help thee.’

14Fear not, thou worm Jacob,

And ye men of Israel;

I help thee, saith the LORD,

And thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

15Behold, I make thee a new threshing-sledge

Having sharp teeth;

Thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small,

And shalt make the hills as chaff.

16Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away,

And the whirlwind shall scatter them;

And thou shalt rejoice in the LORD,

Thou shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.

17The poor and needy seek water and there is none,

And their tongue faileth for thirst;

I the LORD will answer them,

I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

18I will open rivers on the high hills,

And fountains in the midst of the valleys;

I will make the wilderness a pool of water,

And the dry land springs of water.

19I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the acacia-tree,

And the myrtle, and the oil-tree;

I will set in the desert the cypress, the plane-tree, and the larch together;

20That they may see, and know,

And consider, and understand together,

That the hand of the LORD hath done this,

And the Holy One of Israel hath created it.

21Produce your cause, saith the LORD;

Bring forth your reasons, saith the King of Jacob.

22Let them bring them forth, and declare unto us

The things that shall happen;

The former things, what are they?

Declare ye, that we may consider,

And know the end of them;

Or announce to us things to come.

23Declare the things that are to come hereafter, That we may know that ye are gods;

Yea, do good, or do evil,

That we may be dismayed, and behold it together.

24Behold, ye are nothing,

And your work a thing of nought;

An abomination is he that chooseth you.

25I have roused up one from the north, and he is come,

From the rising of the sun one that calleth upon My name;

And he shall come upon rulers as upon mortar,

And as the potter treadeth clay.

26Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know?

And beforetime, that we may say that he is right?

Yea, there is none that declareth,

Yea, there is none that announceth,

Yea, there is none that heareth your utterances.

27A harbinger unto Zion will I give: ‘Behold, behold them’,

And to Jerusalem a messenger of good tidings.

28And I look, but there is no man;

Even among them, but there is no counsellor,

That, when I ask of them, can give an answer.

29Behold, all of them,

Their works are vanity and nought;

Their molten images are wind and confusion.

🚨 IDF EXPANDS GAZA CITY OFFENSIVE; KATZ “GAZA IS BURNING”; HOSTAGE EXCHANGE PRESSURE INTENSIFIES; QATAR AND EGYPT WARN OF ESCALATION

🕑 September 16, 2025 2:00 PM Israel Realtime

🟥 The IDF has expanded its ground offensive in Gaza City under Operation Gideon’s Chariots II. Troops from both mandatory and reserve service are engaged in fierce fighting, supported by the Gaza Division operating along the border with western Negev communities, Rafah, and Khan Yunis, while northern Gaza is also seeing significant action. This push builds on the gains of the first Gideon’s Chariots operation, aiming to dismantle Hamas infrastructure and achieve Israel’s war objectives.

💥 Over the past week, the Israeli Air Force struck more than 850 terror targets in Gaza City, eliminating hundreds of terrorists and paving the way for ground maneuvers. Leaflets have also been dropped, warning civilians to evacuate immediately.

‼️ Defense Minister Israel Katz delivered a blunt message: “Gaza is burning. The IDF is striking terrorist infrastructure with an iron fist, and IDF soldiers are fighting bravely to create the conditions for the release of the hostages and the defeat of Hamas. We will not relent and we will not turn back until the mission is completed.”

At the 162nd Division, Katz emphasized: “There is a breaking point that I hope we reach — and save much along the way to achieving the goal.” He further warned that if Hamas does not release the hostages and disarm, Gaza would be left in ruins, serving as “a monument to the murderers and rapists of Hamas.”

Prime Minister Netanyahu confirmed that Israel had officially launched the intensified phase of operations in Gaza.

🎗️ The hostage issue remains at the heart of the conflict. Israel estimates that of the 48 remaining hostages, about 20 are still alive. Hamas has conditioned their release on an exchange for Palestinian prisoners, along with demands for a permanent ceasefire and Israeli withdrawal. Israeli leaders insist that military pressure is necessary to force Hamas to surrender and secure the hostages’ return.

🔸 The Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha ended with strong backing for Qatar after the Israeli strike in Doha wounded Hamas officials. The final communiqué declared: “We affirm our full solidarity with Qatar and support the measures being taken in response. We reject Israel’s repeated threats that Qatar could be targeted again.”

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi warned that Israel’s actions put the peace treaty at risk. An Egyptian official clarified his remarks as cautionary rather than threatening: “Al-Sisi is concerned that the actions of the Israeli government could lead to the collapse of the peace agreement. His speech was cautionary, not threatening.”

🔷 The IDF Spokesperson announced a planned exercise in Majdal Shams and Mas’ade starting this evening. Residents will see increased security forces and vehicle movement. The military stressed there is no security incident—this is a routine drill.

[Ed.:  Okay, so here’s the plan:  we’re going to send Netanyahu to New York once Mamdani is elected.  When he gets arrested, we’re going to go in and take them both back to Israel.  We will then place Mamdani in one of those little rooms in a Gaza tunnel, keeping him in the exact conditions Israeli hostages were kept (read: with starvation rations and torture,) and then, we will broadcast his dimly lit cell worldwide, 24/7.  …Oh, (almost forgot,) before he dies, while he is still alive, we will drain his blood to make our matza!  Go ahead!  Make our day!

🟥  ISRAEL STRIKE IN DOHA TRIGGERS EGYPTIAN BACKLASH, HAMAS LEADERS SEEK NEW HAVENS, NETANYAHU LINKS TARGETING TO HOSTAGE EXCHANGE, QATAR VOWS RESPONSE

🇮🇱 Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich strongly criticized Israel’s muted response to what he described as a coordinated diplomatic campaign against the country. “The fact that a diplomatic attack on Israel is being met with Israeli silence is unacceptable and cannot continue. France and other countries are openly acting against Israel, and therefore Israel must apply its sovereignty as a preventive measure against the reckless attempt to establish a terror state in the heart of our land,” he declared.

🔹 Meanwhile, Jordan has conveyed concerns to Israel regarding the IDF’s mobilization tied to the creation of the new Eastern Division. The move is viewed in Amman as a potential escalation affecting regional stability.

‼️ In Cairo, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi revived his long-standing idea of a joint Arab force, modeled after NATO, which would be tasked with defending any Arab nation under attack. This initiative is gaining traction in discussions ahead of the Arab-Islamic summit set to convene in Doha.

⚠️ Tensions with Egypt have spiked after Israel’s airstrike in Doha that targeted Hamas leaders. Cairo announced it is reducing its security coordination with Israel “until further notice.” Egyptian intelligence officials claim Israel has been plotting to assassinate Hamas leaders in Cairo for years, with a previous attempt allegedly foiled during ceasefire talks. Egyptian officials warned that any attack on their soil would be answered with force.

🔴 The Doha strike left Hamas leaders shaken, with many believing Qatar is no longer a safe base. They are reportedly weighing relocation options, including Algeria, Malaysia, or Mauritania. Egypt, however, has insisted it would prefer to host them itself, signaling both leverage and risk in the regional power struggle.

🔶 Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu linked the targeting of Hamas leaders abroad directly to the ongoing hostage crisis. “Getting rid of the Hamas leaders in Qatar would rid the main obstacle to releasing all our hostages and ending the war,” he stated, underlining Israel’s rationale for striking Hamas officials outside Gaza.

⚠️ Echoing this position, Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen vowed that Hamas leaders remain in Israel’s sights: “Those we did not reach this time — we will reach next time.”

‼️ Qatar, angered by the attack in its capital, announced: “We have made our decision and will respond to Israel soon.” Doha is weighing retaliation while attempting to balance its role as a mediator with its ties to Hamas leadership.
