Disturbing new videos give the clearest view yet of the moment the American Airlines passenger plane and Army helicopter exploded into pieces — sending huge chunks of fiery debris crashing into the frigid water below.
The cellphone footage, obtained by CNN, provides the clearest angle so far of Wednesday’s tragic midair collision in Washington, DC, that killed 67 people in the country’s deadliest aviation disaster in almost a quarter century.
The two clips captured the Black Hawk helicopter’s red tail lights flashing as it quickly flew directly toward the passenger jet approaching the runway at Ronald Reagan National Airport at about 9 p.m.
The collision sparked a huge fireball, with large sections of the plane plunging into the icy Potomac River, where it was later found in three pieces.
Remnants of the helicopter, which was carrying three soldiers, also spiraled downwards with its flashing lights still visible, the chilling footage shows.
The footage emerged as investigators and crews prepared to push forward on Friday with efforts to recover the bodies of the remaining victims from the water.
Fresh from recovering the black boxes from the American Airlines plane, divers were also aiming to salvage the remnants of both aircraft, officials said.
The victims of the crash included teen figure skaters returning from a national meet with their mothers and coaches, an Ohio college student coming from her grandfather’s funeral, two Chinese nationals and a group of hunters headed back from a guided trip in Kansas.

January 29, 2025 Yeshiva World News – In a sweeping move to combat rising antisemitism, President Donald Trump is set to sign an executive order on Wednesday directing all federal agencies to take decisive action, including identifying legal avenues to punish and deport individuals engaging in anti-Jewish activities—particularly foreign students on visas.
The executive order, obtained exclusively by The New York Post, mandates that department and agency leaders submit recommendations within 60 days outlining the tools available to crack down on antisemitic activity. The Department of Justice will also intensify its investigations into pro-Hamas graffiti, harassment, and intimidation—especially on college campuses, where tensions have flared since the Oct. 7 Hamas-led attack on southern Israel.
The order calls for the removal of resident aliens, including foreign students, who have violated U.S. laws during anti-Israel demonstrations. Colombian President Loses Game of Chicken with Trump, Offers to Fly Back Illegals on His Own Plane 6 Minutes Later By Michael Austin
January 26, 2025 at 4:16pm ET – President Donald Trump is not the man to play a game of chicken with.
Colombian President Gustavo Petro learned that lesson Sunday in short order after choosing to test the newly re-elected U.S. leader’s resolve.
It all began when, as part of the Trump administration’s expansive deportation effort, two flights of criminal Colombian nationals illegally residing in the U.S. were scheduled to fly back to their native country.
Petro refused to accept the criminals, or even allow the planes to land on Colombian soil.
“The US cannot treat Colombian migrants as criminals,” Petro said, according to a Google translation of a statement posted to X Sunday.
“I deny the entry of American planes carrying Colombian migrants into our territory.
The United States must establish a protocol for the dignified treatment of migrants before we receive them.”
Only minutes later, President Trump released a statement of his own on Truth Social announcing the U.S. would levy aggressive and costly sanctions against the South American country in retaliation.
“I was just informed that two repatriation flights from the United States, with a large number of Illegal Criminals, were not allowed to land in Colombia. This order was given by Colombia’s Socialist President Gustavo Petro, who is already very unpopular amongst his people,” Trump wrote.
“Petro’s denial of these flights has jeopardized the National Security and Public Safety of the United States, so I have directed my Administration to immediately take the following urgent and decisive retaliatory measures…”
Trump’s planned sanctions included a 25 percent tariff on all Colombian goods coming into the U.S., with the percentage rising to 50 percent after one week; a travel ban for all Colombian government officials; and various additional sanctions.
It didn’t take long for Petro to respond.
In a statement published on X a mere six minutes after Trump’s Truth Social post, Petro announced he would accept the Colombian criminals back.
Going a step further, Petro even offered to fly back the illegals on his own presidential plane to facilitate what he described as a “dignified return of Colombian nationals… coming in from separation flights,” according to The Hill.
“This measure is in response to the government’s commitment to guarantee dignified conditions,” Petro wrote.
“In no way have Colombians, as patriots and subjects of rights, been or will be banished from Colombian territory.”

January 25, 2025 – Russian leader Vladimir Putin has declared that America’s 2020 election was “stolen” from President Donald Trump.
Putin argues that Trump is correct to assert that the Democrats rigged the election to ensure a “win” for former President Joe Biden.
According to Putin, the war between Ukraine and Russia would never have started if Trump’s “victory hadn’t been stolen in 2020.”
Putin made the remarks in a new interview published by Russia 1 TV journalist Pavel Zarubin on Telegram on Friday.
“I cannot disagree with [Trump] that if he had been president, if his victory hadn’t been stolen in 2020, perhaps the crisis in Ukraine that arose in 2022 wouldn’t have happened,” Putin said.
In 2023 Trump claimed to American radio host Hugh Hewitt that the Ukraine conflict would never have begun if the 2020 US elections hadn’t been “rigged” and Joe Biden hadn’t replaced him in the Oval Office.
“[Putin] would have never done it if the election weren’t rigged, our election,” according to an interview transcript.
“It was rigged and stolen.
“If that election wasn’t rigged, if I were president, you would right now have millions of people living that are dead.”
During Biden’s term, the Democrats campaigned hard to keep funding the war with billions of dollars of taxpayer money.
The funding has kept the war ongoing for almost three years.
However, Biden or the Democrats have never proposed plans to end the conflict, only to perpetuate it.
Trump has remained defiant that he won the 2020 election.
However, courts have refused to review evidence of widespread voter fraud.
With Trump now back in the White House, the war is expected to soon end with Ukraine and Russia securing a peace deal.
Trump’s concerns of election fraud were turned against him after his supporters gathered in protest at the U.S. Capitol building on January 6, 2021.
The Democrats falsely accused Trump of leading an “insurrection” and impeached him in 2021.
Trump has denied any wrongdoing, dismissing the accusations as a “witch hunt.”
He has consistently alleged the 2020 election was blighted by irregularities, and that he lost despite winning 10 million more votes than Biden.
Hours after he was sworn in for his second term Trump pardoned around 1,500 people targetted by the Democrats over Jan. 6.
Trump described the defendants as patriots and hostages, insisting that their prosecution was politically motivated.
In June 2021, Putin criticized the U.S. government’s response to the Capitol protests.
Putin accused the Biden admin of double standards.
He argued that while Washington condemns crackdowns on anti-government protests abroad, it prosecutes its own citizens who express political dissent.
“They weren’t just a crowd of robbers and rioters,” Putin stated.

Disturbing Poll Shows One Fifth of Americans Support Hamas
January 22, 2025 Jewish Breaking News – The relentless sanitizing of Hamas in mainstream media is bearing fruit, with a shocking 21% of American voters now supporting the Iranian backed-terrorist organization over Israel, according to a new Harvard/Harris poll.
Young Americans have proven particularly receptive to the pro-Hamas narrative flooding social media feeds and news coverage. Support for Hamas peaks at 32% among voters aged 25-34, followed by 29% in the 35-44 bracket. Even younger voters aged 18-24 show a disturbing 21% support for Hamas. Less reckless minds prevail as the numbers show gradual decline with age, dropping to 23% for 45-54-year-olds, 17% for 55-64, and finally 10% among those over 65.
Among 19 ranked entities, Hamas ranks near the bottom alongside Russia and the Palestinian Authority, with Israel holding middle ground.
Politically speaking, Democrats lead with 25% backing Hamas, while 19% of Republicans and 20% of independents now support the organization behind the October 7 attacks. However, when it came to backing for a Gaza ceasefire, support reached 87% among Democrats, 81% among Republicans, and 78% among independents. A strong 57% of those surveyed believe Trump’s looming return to the White House just days beforehand spurred Hamas to finally strike a deal, while 43% say Biden’s diplomatic efforts made the difference.

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered:
Section 1. Purpose. The United States noticed its withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2020 due to the organization’s mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic that arose out of Wuhan, China, and other global health crises, its failure to adopt urgently needed reforms, and its inability to demonstrate independence from the inappropriate political influence of WHO member states. In addition, the WHO continues to demand unfairly onerous payments from the United States, far out of proportion with other countries’ assessed payments. China, with a population of 1.4 billion, has 300 percent of the population of the United States, yet contributes nearly 90 percent less to the WHO.
Sec. 2. Actions. (a) The United States intends to withdraw from the WHO. The Presidential Letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations signed on January 20, 2021, that retracted the United States’ July 6, 2020, notification of withdrawal is revoked.
(b) Executive Order 13987 of January 25, 2021 (Organizing and Mobilizing the United States Government to Provide a Unified and Effective Response to Combat COVID–19 and to Provide United States Leadership on Global Health and Security), is revoked.
(c) The Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs shall establish directorates and coordinating mechanisms within the National Security Council apparatus as he deems necessary and appropriate to safeguard public health and fortify biosecurity.
(d) The Secretary of State and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget shall take appropriate measures, with all practicable speed, to:
(i) pause the future transfer of any United States Government funds, support, or resources to the WHO;
(ii) recall and reassign United States Government personnel or contractors working in any capacity with the WHO; and
(iii) identify credible and transparent United States and international partners to assume necessary activities previously undertaken by the WHO.
(e) The Director of the White House Office of Pandemic Preparedness and Response Policy shall review, rescind, and replace the 2024 U.S. Global Health Security Strategy as soon as practicable.
Sec. 3. Notification. The Secretary of State shall immediately inform the Secretary-General of the United Nations, any other applicable depositary, and the leadership of the WHO of the withdrawal.
Sec. 4. Global System Negotiations. While withdrawal is in progress, the Secretary of State will cease negotiations on the WHO Pandemic Agreement and the amendments to the International Health Regulations, and actions taken to effectuate such agreement and amendments will have no binding force on the United States.
Sec. 5. General Provisions. (a) Nothing in this order shall be construed to impair or otherwise affect:
(i) the authority granted by law to an executive department or agency, or the head thereof; or
(ii) the functions of the Director of the Office of Management and Budget relating to budgetary, administrative, or legislative proposals.
(b) This order shall be implemented consistent with applicable law and subject to the availability of appropriations.
(c) This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.

Jan. 17, 2025 – Lefty political parties across the world are now more unpopular than any time since the Cold War, a staggering analysis of recent elections shows.
The Left suffered a record-low average of just 45% of votes in dozens of ballots held globally last year, according to the analysis of 73 democratic elections, conducted by the Telegraph.
In the United States and Western Europe, progressives were even more unpopular — with the left-leaning parties securing only 42% of their respective votes.
The Right, meanwhile, won 57% of the average votes — representing the widest gap since 1990, the analysis found.
The global demise of the political left comes off the back of President-elect Donald Trump’s landslide election win.
Trump, who will be inaugurated on Monday, secured the popular vote with 77 million votes compared to the 75 million his Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, raked in.
The Left’s declining popularity is only expected to continue, too, experts say.
In the wake of Harris’ defeat, leftist parties in Canada, Australia, and Germany are already predicted to suffer similar losses in upcoming ballots.
“The trend is up. There is no real reason to expect that it will stop anytime soon,” Prof. Matthijs Rooduijn, a political scientist from the University of Amsterdam, told the outlet.
In Canada, polls are already showing that its firebrand Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre is the favorite to replace Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after the lefty leader’s abrupt resignation earlier this month.
Meanwhile, Australia’s conservative party has also inched ahead of its ruling progressive government prior to a planned election later this year, polls show.
“The globalization-driven decline of organized labor, rising identity politics harnessed more successfully by the Right than the Left, and a general tendency among Leftist forces to fragment rather than unite,” he said.
